I was lying in my bed, it was about noon and I was talking to my boyfriend. We were fighting over who loves each other the most. My dad knocked on the door "Tara who are you talking to?" my dad said.
"Uhhh a friend, why?" "Tara if you are talking to that lowlife tell him goodbye, now!" "Get out you are ruining my life!!" "Don't you talk to me life that young lady!"
"Oh it's not like you care!" He slammed the door and stomped down the stairs.
I hung up the phone, snuck downstairs and saw my dad crying.
"How did she grow up so fast?" he cried, "i need the strength to move on and realize that she is not my little girl anymore." I walked up behind him and hugged him from behind.
"Daddy I will always be your little girl." He smiled "Ever since your mother and brother died you are all that I have left to hold onto." He cried. I just hugged him while he cried.
"If i didn't let her walk out like she did she would still be alive today, it's all my fault!" He kept on crying "Daddy it was her choice, she choose to walk out she choose to leave daddy, It was her choice."
I fought my tears they stung as my dad got up and walked outside. I walked upstairs to my room and closed my door and broke down crying. I heard a knock on my window.
I looked up and saw Jacob outside my window. I opened the window "What are you doing here?!" I whispered. "I came to see you...baby why are you crying?" He looked at me concerned.
"No reason." I whipped my tears away and looked down at the floor. He lifted up my chin looked deep into my eyes and kissed me.
I kissed him back. He pulled me close to him as he wrapped his arms around my waist. I wrapped my arms around his neck. He pushed me against the wall and pressed his body against mine.
We heard my dad walk up the stairs. Jacob hurried and hid in my closet as I hurried and sat on my bed acting casual. My dad knocked on the door and opened it up. "Tara can I talk to you?" "Yea sure dad come on in."
He walked in and sat on my bed and played with something in his hand. "What's that daddy?" He gave it to me.
It was a locket. I opened it up and inside was a picture of my mom and dad on one side and on the other was me and my brother.
I looked up at my father with tears in my eyes. He whipped them away. "D-daddy?" "It was your mother's.
She wore that locket everywhere she went. She never took it off." He smiled
"The day she left she took it off and threw it at me and walked out the door." He started to cry. I hugged him and whipped away his tears. He smiled "I have no idea what i would do without you Tara."He hugged me and walked downstairs.
