Here's another 'Drew Le Pew'! This one is based on 'Scent-Imental Romeo', but there are going to be some obvious changes to the plot and how things are going to go down.
Here's the plot in a nutshell: May, really hungry, finds she can't afford to buy anything like popcorn or such in the park one day. Hungry, she runs home, and fixes up a big picnic for her and her Pokémon. However, when she and her friends set up near a tree and start to dig in, something stinks about the situation - literally. And then, as always, Drew falls for May and the chase is on...
It was a beautiful day in the Hoenn region. Pokémon were flying, running, and digging around, having fun and doing great in the wild. Things seemed to be perfectly fine. Trainers were also having fun with their Pokémon, which included training and playing with each other. Everything was peaceful and it seemed nothing could disturb it.
Nearby a popcorn vendor, the person tending to the stand was making sure the popcorn cooked without getting burnt. On a bench a few feet away, a man, with a sack of popcorn in hand, was sprinkling it all over the ground. The irony was, the bench was next to a 'Do Not Feed The Pidove' sign.
"Come on, little Pidove, eat up." He said, as the Pidove were eating the popcorn that was on the ground and they were enjoying it immensely.
It was not just Pokémon having fun with trainers or trainers feeding Pokémon. There were carriages being pulled and pushed with children and others around the entire park. It was utter paradise.
However, a few meters away, a young girl, in her teens, was standing nearby. Her hair was brown, and her eyes were blue, and she was wearing mainly red in her clothing. She had a red bandana on her head, too. The girl licked her lips, as she smelled the popcorn. Her stomach growled, and she blushed a bit.
"I guess I'm hungry," She said, before taking out her wallet; there was a name inscribed on it, revealed to be 'May Maple', thus the name of the girl. "Oh, dear…"
She opened the wallet to reveal that she did not have enough money for a sack of popcorn for herself. May sighed sadly, and looked down. Her stomach growled again, and then she looked at her Poké Balls.
"Maybe my Pokémon are hungry, too…" May said, as she then started to wonder what to do. May hoped that she could find a solution to her hunger, and find a way to satisfy it.
May then got an idea.
"A picnic! That's perfect!" May said, and then she ran back into her house to go and get everything ready for the picnic.
She went into her kitchen and she opened the fridge and saw everything a girl could want for lunch. May started to take out everything that she wanted to eat for her picnic and started to prepare the food.
She began to slice some whole wheat bread on a cutting board and kept herself safe with the serrated bread knife. May found a head of Romaine lettuce and took off a few leaves before slicing them up for the sandwiches she was making. May took out some mayonnaise and mustard for the sandwiches, as well, as well as some other food items that she would want to eat.
May also looked in the fruit cellar and found several tree berries to give her Pokémon; she took them out to pack and decided to use them to feed her Pokémon. May thought of a Poffin recipe that she decided to make for her Pokémon, and she got to it, too. After finishing the Poffins, May packed everything she had made.
She made sandwiches, found fruit, collected potato chip bags from the pantry, and packed Poffins and tree berries for the Pokémon. She smiled and packed everything into the picnic basket that she had found. May smiled and decided to pack some bottles of water and lemonade for her, too.
May ran out of the house and started to giggle happily at the idea of having a picnic with her Pokémon. May skipped her way to the park and soon started to look around to see where she could put down her blanket and eat with her Pokémon.
"Now, let's see…" May said, as she turned her head left and right to find a good spot; she soon laid eyes on a tree on higher ground. "Perfect! Not only does it have a good view, but the shade will be nice for preventing sunburn and keeping cool."
May made a Combee line for the tree and was excited to sit down and eat. She took out the blanket for the picnic and she spread it out flat on the ground. After May had set the basket down and then placed out bowls for her Pokémon's food. She poured in the Pokémon food into the bowls and then she set out water dishes for all of her Pokémon, too. May took out all of her Poké Balls, and she released all of her Pokémon.
She had a Blaziken, a Beautifly, a Skitty, a Venusaur, a Munchlax, a Wartortle, and finally, a Glaceon.
"Eat up everyone!" May said, as she sat down and took out one of her sandwiches to eat. She took a bite of her sandwich and started to enjoy it a lot. Her Pokémon were also indulging in the food greatly, and they were all having a nice, pleasant picnic.
However, May failed to notice something. On the other side of the tree she was sitting nearby, was a boy about her age. This particular boy was wearing blue pants and black shoes, a black shirt with a short, purple jacket that did not cover his sleeves. He also had emerald green hair. He seemed to be sleeping, and was having a nice nap. This boy's name was Drew. However, one thing that one could notice, when looking at the scene, was that a lot of the flowers and plants were wilted in contrast to the rest of the park.
His eyes slowly opened, revealing that his eyes were the same shade of green as his hair. He lifted his arms to stretch while he yawned, and his underarms emitted a horrible stench. The fumes expanded and caused some of the leaves on the trees to wilt.
May was still eating her sandwich, unaware that Drew was near, but as soon as he rubbed his head and stood up, May immediately noticed that something stunk - literally.
"Ugh… What stinks?" May asked; her Pokémon noticed the foul odor, too. May poked around, trying to see if she had used rotting food in her lunch, but she got nothing.
Drew walked away from the tree, causing the stink to worsen. As he stretched a bit and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, he soon took notice of May, and woke up completely in a split second.
"What's this?" Drew said, before taking a good look at May. "Ah… A beautiful girl my age. I guess a rendezvous is in order, isn't it?"
Drew started to flutter his eyebrows in flirtatious intent, as he soon started to rub his hands in eagerness.
May, not being able to handle the stink for much longer, put all of her Pokémon back in their Poké Balls before packing up her lunch and deciding to take the meal elsewhere.
"Ugh, what is that stench?" May complained, her stomach starting to twist and turn. She was afraid she was going to throw up from the smell.
However, from out of nowhere, Drew grabbed her into a hug from behind and started to stoke her head gently while completely infatuated with her.
"Oh, my darling! You're so beautiful…" Drew said, before kissing May multiple times on the cheek. May, uncomfortable, started to squirm and kick, trying to get out of the embrace; that, and she was quite grossed out by the stink. "I've been so lonesome without you!"
Drew kept up the kisses, and May screeched, "Hey, who do you think you are?!"
Drew dipped May down and kissed her again and again, trying to make her happy and gave her a lot of kisses. Drew stopped to take a breath and went back to giving May smooches.
"Oh, the sweet nothings… Oh, sweet somethings… Ah…" Drew said, before kissing May over and over again on her cheeks, but no matter how much she tried to tell him to let her go, he would not listen to her.
"Could you let go of me?! Please!" May shouted, using her hand to push Drew's face away.
"Oh, the tender embraces…" Drew said, before kissing May's cheeks again, which caused her to gag.
"Do you mind?! I can't breathe!" May shouted, trying to use her legs and feet to get out of the embrace Drew had on her.
Drew looked up, as if something had occurred to him, and then he said, "Of course! I've forgotten: the rendezvous!"
Drew let go of May; he pulled down some screens to surround them and it looked like a fancy dining room. May was utterly confused as to what was going on, and then Drew sat her down into a chair and he set up a table that he got out of nowhere. The table had candles and red roses, which, sadly, wilted due to Drew's body odor that he appeared oblivious to.
Drew then came back with a bowl of ice on a stand and a bottle of sparkling fruit juice that could be easily mistaken for champagne. May was looking around in worry as she was scared of what was going on.
"It's just the two of us here today, ho-oh," Drew sang, as he was unwrapping the bottle; May looked around to try and find an opening. "Handsome me and the beautiful you, haha! Sweetness two, passion three, even more so when we kiss…"
May left the chair and tried to make a break for it while Drew was distracted.
"It's because, it's because, it's just me and you," Drew said, as he brought a class of the beverage to May, only to see she was not in the chair. "Wha?"
"Crud, none of this is real! Of course there's no window!" May shouted, trying to find an opening to escape from the situation; she was certainly freaked out and quite scared to be in a situation with someone as stinky as Drew.
"Hahaha… So, this beautiful girl is afraid of herself, isn't she? This wonderful, highly seasoned girl," Drew said, with a laugh, before walking over to May, with a flirtatious smile on his face. "Come, my little shrinking violet; return to my embrace."
May paled in the face, and then she tried to run, only for her to end up running into a wall; literally. May rubbed her head, before thinking, 'Crud, what now?! If I stay here, then I might throw up… This guy stinks!'
May ripped up the screens, only to see that what she had bumped into was the tree itself. May tried to breathe, but the stink was too overwhelming; she turned back to him and began panting. Drew had his hands behind his back, a romantic smile on his lips.
"Keep your guard up, beautiful." Drew said, grinning.
"Leave me alone!" May shouted, as she bolted through another screen, putting a hole through it. As she ran out of the park in a hurry, she kept breathing and refrained from looking back to see if Drew was chasing her.
Drew merely saw this is a game, and he started to chuckle a bit as he saw May run away from him in fear. Drew smiled before saying, "So, she wants to play 'lovers' chase'? I guess the little girl in her is starting to come through now that our love has been planted. That's love for you."
Drew started to run at his own pace to try and chase May.
"Look little one, I'm the one chasing the lover. Check it out; I'm chasing after you!" Drew called after May, as he started chasing after May.
After a few minutes, May had managed to find a hiding spot; May was hiding behind some hedges, catching her breath, and sitting down.
"Man, that was close…" May said, as she started to be able to breathe. "Sheesh, talk about a stinky situation. That guy needs a bath! Or cologne… Both, maybe!"
May tried to figure out a way to get Drew to leave her alone, should he find her, which he hoped would not happen. May soon looked to her Poké Balls, and she had an idea. She took one out, and she grew a devious smile on her face.
Meanwhile, Drew was still skipping around, trying to find May.
"Where are you, my brunette-haired, casket of love?" Drew called. "I'm looking all over for you!"
A Debutante Trim Furfrou was walking around, minding its own business. It seemed to be that it was unaware of Drew's stink. Once it crossed paths with Drew...
"Where are you concealing yourself from me?" Drew said. "Where are you hiding, sweetness?"
Drew looked at the Furfrou casually; Furfrou took a few sniffs, and it fled in disgust and fear of Drew's horrendous body odor. Its fur even seemed to freak out as much as the Pokémon did.
Drew did not seem to pay any attention to this, and then he kept going, trying to find May.
May, meanwhile, had her Munchlax out; she had fed it some Pokéblock and it seemed to be listening to her. They were whispering something to each other, trying to formulate an idea. May was worried that Drew would find her, and she decided that the best way to get him to leave her alone was to make him leave her alone, by doing him actual harm.
"Okay, so when he comes, I'll give you the signal and you hit him on the head with a Focus Punch, okay?" May whispered.
Munchlax nodded in understanding, and May breathed a sigh of relief before sitting down to try and take a breath and keep herself steady. However, just as she had sat down and Munchlax ate its last Pokéblock, a foul stink polluted the air.
May gagged, and her face turned green. May then knew exactly where the stink was coming from and she put a finger to her lips to signal for Munchlax to be quiet. May stood up near the hedge and had Munchlax next to her to land the hit when she needed it.
Drew starte to walk past and he said, "Yoo-hoo, love. Come out, come out, wherever you are."
He turned and saw May, and then May shouted, "Munchlax, Focus Punch!"
Munchlax's fist turned white and then it decked Drew in the face, causing him to fall on his back and May smiled triumphantly, trying to make sure Drew got the hint and left her alone from then on.
Drew merely stood back up; the bump on the head did not seem to deter him, and he merely gave May a flirtatious look; he said, "Flirt."
May merely put Munchlax back in its Poké Ball and then she fled to try and get away from Drew.
May kept running as if her life depended on it, and she tried to hide in the craziest of places. She soon looked around and tried to find somewhere to hide, and then she found the perfect spot: she saw that there was a tunnel of love ride and there were boats going into a tunnel.
"Perfect!" May said, as she felt herself get an idea. She saw a vacant boat, and then she was about to get in, when...
"May! My love!" Drew shouted from behind her.
May immediately jumped into the boat and it went into the dark tunnel; she had hoped that the darkness would conceal her long enough to make an escape.
Drew saw her go into the tunnel and he said, "Aha… So she wants a romantic ambiance in a setting as classy as the tunnel of love! No wonder she fled!"
Drew saw another vacant boat and he jumped right in, about to go after May; May, on the other hand, found a way to turn the boat in a different direction and found a way out.
Drew, on the other had, apparently had caught up with her… Or so he thought.
"Oh, my love… We're finally alone…" Drew said, kissing who he thought was May, but it turned out to be another girl. "Oh, the love… Oh, the romance…"
Drew kept kissing the cheek of the girl he thought was May, but when he soon realized his mistake, he said, "Wh-What's the meaning of this?!"
"You're the one barking up the wrong tree…" The girl said, before fainting into the water from the stink.
May, on the other hand, was watching them from somewhere above the ride, and she was laughing her head off; Drew looked up at her, and smiled romantically, before getting off the boat and trying to chase after her.
May, seeing where tho was going, she jumped off the hill and started to run. May was not happy with the stink as well as the behavior that Drew had as well. She tried her best to try and get away from him.
'I have to get away from him!' May thought, as she kept running; she tried her best to escape, and while she kept running, she tried her focus on her breathing and keeping it steady.
May soon found another hill and she kicked up her speed and soon made it to the top of the hill. May looked around, and then she sighed in relief before sitting down on the grass to breathe.
"Oh, whew… He's gone…" May said, trying to breathe. She started to catch her breath, and she felt a little more relaxed. She decided to recover her strength for a few minutes before trying to find a way to get home un-smooched.
However, just as she was about to breathe, Drew's stink came back into the air, and May gagged a bit before turning into the direction of the smell.
"Gah! You again?!" May shouted, backing up.
"Baby-face…" Drew sang, as he was wearing a hat and bow tie similar to that of a barber singer. He started to approach May, while she was backing up. "You got the cutest little baby face. There's no one else that can take your place…"
May kept backing up.
"Baby-face, I didn't need a shove. Oh, no… Because I just fell in love with your pretty…" Drew began, before going over to May to try to give her a hug.
May found herself cornered and she saw the drop the hill had from her position. She chanced it and jumped, just as Drew tried to hug her, and sang, "Baby face!"
Drew saw that May was running off in fear.
May was running so fast and was so motivated to get away from Drew that in what seemed like mere seconds, May found herself in another part of town. May was breathing heavily from the excessive running that she had endured and she laid her back against the wall. May was so tired that she could not really figure out where she ended up. All she knew and wanted was that she was away from Drew and his horrible body odor.
"Sheesh… That guy has no idea how to take a hint, does he?" May said, as she tried to breathe and relax. "And he doesn't even know how to bathe, either… Ugh…"
May kept on breathing; she slunk down to the floor in exhaustion, and tried to relax. She wanted to figure out a way to get back home and get something to eat or relax a bit. She was quite scared of her situation.
May soon smelled Drew's body odor again, and she once again tried not to retch or gag.
Around the corner on the wall that she was at, Drew was dressed a little differently, with a hat on, in purple; he looked at May, and said, "Hello, baby."
"Leave me alone!" May shouted, before trying to make a run for it, but this time, Drew caught her by the wrist. As May kept trying to break free, but Drew chuckled in response.
Drew pulled her into his embrace, and the stink only got worse. May gagged a bit, and Drew started to dance with May. They were backing up while dancing. May was quite scared, and she soon looked at her Poké Balls, and had an idea: a Focus Punch, Sleep Powder combination.
Drew backed up in the dance and led May along with the dance. May tried to reach for her Poké Balls, but Drew merely gave her some kisses on the cheek.
"I love you…" Drew said.
"Don't say that!" May shouted; she escaped Drew's embrace before taking out her Munchlax's Poké Ball. "Munchlax, use Focus Punch on his head!"
May let her Munchlax. Its fist started to glow white and then it hit Drew on the head multiple times. Drew fell on his rear end, and he was so dizzy that there was an illusion that there was three of May in his eyes.
May recalled Munchlax back to its Poké Ball, and then she let her Venusaur out of its own ball.
"The one in the center can remain… The rest of you, some other time…" Drew said, dizzy.
"Venusaur, knock him out with Sleep Powder!" May commanded.
Venusaur released a pale blue powder from its large flower, and then the powder fell all over him, causing him to fall asleep.
"Good, he's out…" May said. "Thanks, Venusaur."
She put Venusaur back in its Poké Ball, and then she started to run back home in a hurry, worried that the Sleep Powder could wear off in a split second.
After what seemed like thirty minutes, Drew woke up, and then he saw May was long gone. Seeing his 'beloved' gone without a trace, Drew started to feel his heart squeeze and shatter into shards.
Drew looked into a puddle on the side of the road and saw the lump on his head. He started to cry and tears fell from his face. He looked up to the sky and said, "Goodbye, my love… Parting is such sweet sorrow."
Drew squatted down and a tear fell onto the puddle, causing it to ripple; he sighed sadly, before saying, "She might have given me a headache… But viva l'amour!"
It started to rain, and Drew knew that he would never see May again.
May, meanwhile, made it home safely and she bathed to make sure none of Drew's stink lingered on her. She sat on her bed and said, "That's the last time I go on a picnic in that park…"
Sorry that this one took so long. I'm hoping to do a "Drew Le Pew" shot of "Past Perfumance" soon.
