A/N: Update 19

"Slightly? What the hell are you doing here?!" I practically yelled.

"I-I-I," he stuttered trying to find an answer.

"Do you have something to do with this?" I turned and looked at Nibs.

"No, I swear!" Nibs replied. "I found him hiding in the cargo."

I turned back to Slightly and raised an eyebrow. "Explain please."

"Okay, to start off, I was right! I told you not to trust them!" Slightly had a self-satisfied smirk on his face. "But did you listen to me? No, of course you didn't! Because you're Peter Pan, you can do anything you want without a care in the world. You don't have to listen to anybody."

I rolled my eyes. He was right. He did warn me, but I didn't listen. He didn't need to rub it in though. "Yeah, yeah, I get it okay? Just tell me what you're doing here."

"That night you got taken, I couldn't sleep. Our argument upset me, and I wanted to talk to you about it and tell you what I knew. I walked over to your room, and just as I was about to knock on the door, I heard Hook talking. It was muffled, but I heard him say something about 'getting the boy onto the ship.' I assumed he was talking about you. I followed Hook and Smee down to the harbor, and snuck on the boat." Slightly explained.

"Okay, but how does that include him?" I asked glancing over at Nibs.

"Well," Slightly started. "Nibs found me in the cargo when he was doing his daily check. He told me that I could stay hidden in his room. He would bring me food and stuff, once he was sure everyone was asleep."

I nodded. "You still didn't answer my question, why are you here?"

Slightly sighed. "I'm here because I knew that you would get into trouble. I knew I was going to have to help you. And would you look at that? You've gone and gotten yourself kidnapped, and all twisted up in Hook's plan."

I smiled. Slightly was always straight forward, no filter, told it like it was. It was one of the many things I admired about him, but also one of the things that made it hard for us to get along.

"I can help you, Peter. You just have to let me."

"Slight, I appreciate your help, but I don't need it. I've got everything under control. Except I kinda royally screwed things up with Winnie. Do either of you have any suggestions?" I smiled sheepishly.

Nibs rolled his eyes. "Whatever you did, I'm sure she'll get over it by the morning. What did you do anyway?"

"I kinda, sorta took her to the Indians' party, and we ran into Tiger Lily," I replied, my face turning red. I could still feel the sting of Winnie's slap on my face.

Slightly and Nibs busted up laughing. "Peter, you're so stupid!" Nibs said finally catching his breath. "Don't you know anything about girls?"

"What, like you do? I'm supposed to take dating advice from two twelve year olds?"

"Hey, you were the one who asked. But look, she's my sister. I know her pretty well, and, well, you messed up big time, so you'll have to fix it in a big way," Nibs replied.

"How am I supposed to do that? She's not talking to me."

Nibs just shrugged and said that he and Slightly were going to go back to bed.

"Thanks for all your help," I called out sarcastically.

"You'll find a way," Slightly called out. "You are Peter Pan and she is Wendy. As much as it disgusts me, you two are meant to be together."

I sighed. What was I going to do? I needed to help Wendy remember her past, but if she wasn't talking to me that would be nearly impossible. Nibs had suggested doing something big, but I had no idea where to even start. I drummed the kitchen table trying to come up with something. I felt foolish. I didn't know anything about her. How was I supposed to apologize? Words weren't enough. I stood up and rummaged through all of the cabinets until I found everything I needed to make some sugar cookies. It wasn't much, but it was a start.

As I pulled the cookies out of the oven, I still didn't know what else I could do. I remembered that I had promised Winnie I would show her the island, and I'd done that, but I didn't take her to the treehouse. I'd have to get it ready; it was probably a disaster. I checked my watch. It was two in the morning, I'd be pushing it and I wouldn't get any sleep, but I could get it done. While the cookies cooled, waiting to be frosted, I headed out to Hangman's Tree.
