Hey guys, sorry about how long it's been. I have had precious little time to work on this story and I just barely finished this chapter today. Standard disclaimer, I don't own Glee or any of its characters.

s

Santana was a nervous wreck. Today, of all the days that it had to happen, it had to happen today! She and Finn were finally going back to school after their two week suspension, and she had just found out that Quinn was being called in as a witness to her parents' trial. They couldn't have needed her, oh I don't know, before today, when she was home from school and was able to accompany Quinn and make sure that she would okay. Santana desperately wanted to skip school today and go sit with her girl, be there for her as she had to get up on that stand and face both of her parents today, but nooooo, that wasn't an option. She had apparently missed too much school already.

It was almost on the tip of her tongue to tell her mother that she didn't give a damn about school and that she wasn't going and that she couldn't make her… but even she wasn't that brave. Still how the hell was she expected to concentrate on school when she knew that Quinn was going to be a bundle of nerves, sitting alone on that stand across from her ass-hole parents and she wasn't there to support her.

As she grabs her backpack in a huff and is about ready to storm out of the house, not even going to bother saying goodbye to her mother, when her father stops her at the door.

"Sweetheart, mija, I know you're frustrated and I know you're worried about your friend but it's all going to be okay. Don't be too mad at your mother, she's doing the best she can and you know that she's going to look out for Quinn. This is hard on her too, she has Quinn's whole future resting on her shoulders and she doesn't take that lightly it's a lot of pressure and she needs our support as much as Quinn does."

Santana lets out a sigh, some of her anger slipping away. "I know… I just, I hate the idea of Quinn having to be anywhere near those bastards. I really want to be there for her and I get that she wants me at school, that it's important, but so is this. How can I just let her go on her own, she might need me?"

"I think… that what you should do is give Quinn a call, let her know that you're here if she needs you, and that you are thinking of her, but I also think that this might be exactly what Quinn needs. She is facing her parents for the first time ever, over everything that they have done to her and I think that she needs this. Needs to look at them and face them. See them as the humans they are, and not the monsters of her memory, that she can beat them."

"But why does she have to do it alone?" Santana asks quietly, her friend was one of the strongest people she knew but it was like her parents didn't understand, they never saw the fear in her eyes when Quinn thought about her parents. They didn't see the way that Quinn shrunk in on herself whenever they were around. Even Superman was helpless against kryptonite.

Her father smiles at her and places a comforting hand on her shoulder. "She's not alone, she knows that she has so many people who are behind her and who support her and who love her, you chief among them. And if she gets scared or nervous your mother will be there, can you think of anyone else you would rather have at your back than her? She'll look out for Quinn and protect her, but this trial isn't just about protecting her. This is also Quinn's fight to take her life back from years of abuse. I think this is going to be very hard for her and I think that she'll be scared but I also don't think she can move on until she's faced them."

Santana nods her head and her father pulls her into a hug. "Have faith in Quinn, she'll rise to the occasion and believe in your mother, I've never seen her so focused on a case before."

Santana squeezes her father tightly before pulling away. "Is she still in her office?"

Aiden nods his head and so Santana goes to say goodbye to her mother and to wish her luck today. "I love you daddy."

"I love you too."

When Santana reaches the door to her mother's office she sees that it's open but she still knocks on the door to let her mother know she's there before she enters. "Mom?"

Maribel looks up from some files and Santana can see what her father meant. Her mom looked exhausted and now Santana felt bad. Her mom had been fighting so hard for Quinn, she loved Quinn like a daughter and this couldn't have been easy on her, she must hate that Quinn had to do this as much as she did. Santana realized that she needed to stop thinking that she was the only one who could protect her friend, that she had allies. "Yes mija?" Maribel says, her voice not betraying for an instant how tired she was. That was her mother, a rock.

"I just wanted to say good luck today and that I love you."

Maribel smiles warmly at her daughter and makes her way over to Santana and envelops her in a hug. "I love you too, and thank you. I know how much you want to be there for Quinn today, but you've already missed two weeks of school and it's so important that you not miss anymore. I promise you that I'll look out for Quinn okay?"

Santana hugs her mother tightly, "I know you will, Q's in good hands." They stay like that for a few seconds longer before Santana pulls away. "Well I better get going, don't want to be late."

"Have a good day, and I'll see you tonight."

When Santana arrives at the school, before she gets out of her car, she pulls out her cell and calls Quinn. The phone rings only once before it's answered.

"I can't do this San!" Quinn says, her voice filled with panic. "I can't do this, I can't face them and I'm going to mess up and they're going to get off and-"

"Yes you can." Santana interrupts. "You can do this, you are going to do this. You are Quinn fucking Fabray and you can do anything. Your parents are finally going to pay for all of the shit that they put you through, all of those times that they hurt you are finally going to come back and bite them in the ass, and guess what Quinn, it's because of you. Because you were strong enough to say no more and you were strong enough to press charges and stop them from ever doing it again.''

It's silent on the other end for a long time before Quinn finally speaks up and it feels like a shot of ice through her heart. "I'm scared." Quinn whimpers.

"I know, but you don't have to be, you can do this. And I want you to know that I'm here for you and so is Rachel and Brittany and all of our families. You aren't alone Quinn, you have so many people who love you and who believe in you, you can do this."

"I wish I had your confidence… I wish you could come with me." Quinn says quietly.

"Hey, you don't need me, you're going to be fine. Seriously, here's what I want you to do, when you enter that court room and have to get on that stand, I want you own it, like the badass that you are. You go up there with all of the confidence you can bear and you show the world why nobody gets to fuck with you and get away with it. And when they ask you about your parents look them right in the eye and show them that they don't own you, control you, or scare you anymore. That you are above their bullshit and that you don't need them anymore. And hey, don't forget you've got my mom there with you too, she's got your back."

"Do you really think I can do this?" And Santana can still hear a meekness in her voice that to Santana just doesn't belong there. She wants so badly to turn her car on, go to the Berry's, and be there in person to tell her that everything would be okay and that she had nothing to worry about. But as she thought about it, her father was right, Quinn needed to do this, she needed to face her parents.

"Please," Santana scoffs. "This is going to be a walk in the park for you. Seriously what can they do other than just sit there and listen to you tell everyone what crap parents they were? Answer the questions, don't hold back, and take control of your life. Don't let your parents control you anymore. Do I think you can do this? In your sleep."

It's quiet on the other end again but when Quinn speaks up she sounds a little bit better. "Thanks San… I'll call you when I'm done."

"You better."

After Quinn hangs up Santana leans back against her seat and looks up closing her eyes. Quinn was scared, her Quinn was scared and she wasn't there. She was sitting in this fucking parking lot waiting like a useless lump while Quinn had to face this on her own. It wasn't right and it wasn't fair, she shouldn't have to do this alone, least of all without her there to help her and support her.

"God… if you're listening, Quinn needs you right now. I don't know where you were when all of this was going down or why you didn't stop it from happening, I don't know why you continue to test her, but please… please be there for her today."

And after that quick prayer Santana gets out of her car to face the day.

As Santana entered the school she quickly finds Brittany, Rachel and Finn all standing around and all of them looking just as agitated as she felt. All of them were worried about Quinn. As Santana goes up to them she has to fight the urge to go and wrap her arms around Brittany or even just hold her hand. She could really use the reassurance right now.

"Hello Santana." Rachel says, the first to see her.

"Hey San." Brittany says forcing a small smile onto her face that doesn't reach her eyes.

Finn just lifts a hand in greeting.

She stands close to Brittany which is about as close as she can get to having the blond hold her right now and asks Rachel. "How was Q doing, I called her but…"

"She's trying to be strong but I could tell she was nervous, there was a lot of pacing involved. I wish I could have done something." Rachel says, looking down disappointed.

"I'm sure you did what you could Rach." Finn says trying to comfort her. "I'm worried about her too, but Quinn's tough, she can do this. We just have to have faith in her, you know. It's like karma, don't put out any negative feelings just good ones and then the universe will like… I don't know, respond the same way. We just have to think positively." Finn finishes awkwardly.

"I'm not sure karma works quite like that, but you're right, no bad thoughts. There's no reason to doubt that Quinn's going to be just fine." Santana agrees.

"Yeah… I just… I wish we could be there for her today. After everything she's been through, I feel like she shouldn't have to do this alone." Brittany says quietly, bringing the already down group even lower.

They hear the bell ring and Finn leans down and grabs his backpack off the floor. "We should get to class." They all nod in agreement but none of them make a move to actually go, all of them lost in thought over their friend, and it's not until the final bell has rung signaling that they are late and they notice that the hallway is completely empty that they finally move.

s

As Santana makes her way through the lunch room she spots Finn sitting alone at one of the tables off in the corner. Finn had been down in the dumps all week and this whole thing with Quinn seemed to have just compounded it. He wasn't eating he was just picking at his food with a little plastic fork and staring morosely ahead at nothing in particular.

After Puck had left, it was Finn who had taken it the hardest. Finn and Puck had been best friends for as long as she and Brittany had and so while Santana wanted to do cartwheels that the bastard wasn't going to be around to bother her friend anymore, Finn did miss him. That was the only thing that sucked about Puck leaving as far as Santana was concerned, was that Finn was so affected by it. It didn't help matters that he didn't understand why Brittany and she were so glad he was gone or why Quinn felt so relieved. He didn't know what Puck had done, he just knew that his friend was gone and had abandoned Quinn and that he seemed to be the only one who missed him.

So the three of them were careful to keep their feelings about it to themselves. "Hey Finn." She says taking a seat across from him.

"Hey San." He says, a sad smile on his face before he goes back to picking at his food.

Santana takes a moment to study her friend before speaking up. "Look, I'm not great with the emotions and feelings a stuff, I'm generally blunt to the point of being rude and I find it easier to make an inappropriate joke than some kind of consoling comment, so keeping that in mind, if you need to talk about it I'm here for you. I can't lie and say I'm not glad he's gone but I am sorry that you're hurting so much over it."

Finn looks up at her and she can see a bit of anger in his eyes. "You used to date him, I know he slept with Quinn but I would think that the time you guys spent together would have meant something to you, how can you be glad he's gone. Yeah he should have tried harder to help Quinn out and yes, he was being a dick about it but… I don't know, maybe he had some kind of point, maybe nobody was giving him a chance."

Santana can feel her own anger flair. "He doesn't deserve a chance!" She snarls quietly, almost ready to tear into Finn before reminding herself that he doesn't know the details of that night. He doesn't know that he got Quinn drunk off her ass and then raped her, and that afterwards he just dumped her out onto the street. He just thinks his friend is an irresponsible asshole. So she takes a calming breath. "Look Quinn doesn't talk about it and neither do Brittany and I because Quinn has asked us not to, but just know that Puck has had more chances than he deserves, believe me. Puck just running away is nowhere near what he deserves, he is not a victim in this and I know he's was your friend but trust me when I say that he's not the guy you think he is."

Finn's face scrunches in confusion, "What do you mean?"

She shouldn't say anything, she really shouldn't. Quinn wanted her to drop it but Santana couldn't stand the thought that Finn didn't know just what kind of guy Puck was, didn't know the whole story of what had been done to Quinn. Santana leans in. "Look… you can't say anything and you have to realize I gave my word, I promised Quinn that I would drop it, you know what that means to me, how important that is to me, right?"

Finn nods his head and leans in. He was well aware how important keeping a promise to her friends was to Santana, just by virtue of knowing how important her friends were to her, this must be pretty big if she was willing to break Quinn's confidence in this.

"So you have to promise me, swear to me on whatever you find sacred in this world that no one will know that I've told you this-"

Finn could see the turmoil on Santana's face as she wrestled with whether or not to tell him. He was actually kind of touched, if she was willing to talk to him like this then she really must consider him a friend. He knew for sure that he felt the same way, so as her friend he needed to stop her. Apparently there was more to the Quinn and Puck story than her thought but he wouldn't put Santana in the position of having to choose between her loyalty to Quinn and her loyalty to him. "San, don't worry about it, don't tell me. I miss him but there's apparently more to this story than I know. But if Quinn wanted me to know then she would have told me. And I am so grateful that you care for me enough to want to tell me but don't. I know how much it would hurt you to break Quinn's confidence like that. I miss the guy, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over someone who won't even stick around to take care of his kid."

Finn wants to reach over and hug the girl, she looked so relieved but she also looked like she wanted to cry, but he holds back. Santana wasn't a big fan of public displays of affection… or really any displays of affection. "If nothing else, I know that I need to tread lightly on the subject of Puck around you guys and maybe someday you guys can tell me everything, but until then all I need to know is that he hurt my best friends."

"Thanks." Is Santana's muttered reply, but she still looks so sad that Finn wants to take her mind off of wherever it had gone. So he tears off a piece of his roll and chucks it at her, the look of shock on her face that he actually just threw food at her was priceless. He wished he had a camera.

"Oh you bastard," She laughs before grabbing one of his green beans and flinging it at him. He just laughs and responds with kernel of corn, just as she was about to flick a pea at him. This leads to a mini food fight where they are both flinging little vegetables at each other. It's as Santana is reaching for the mashed potatoes, with Finn shaking his head no at her, laughing, when Brittany and Rachel join them.

"You guys do know that those are supposed to go into your mouths and not on each other's clothes right?" Rachel asks, the amusement evident in her voice.

"I don't know about that Rach, I think it's kind of cute, like maybe they're saving it for later in case they get hungry, just quick "huh I'm hungry, oh look there on my shoulder, there's a pea."" Brittany teases.

Santana rolls hers eyes and scoots over to make room for Brittany, while Rachel takes a hesitant seat next to Finn who is brushing a green bean off of his shoulder.

"So has anyone heard from Quinn yet?" Brittany asks, looking mostly to Santana.

"Not yet, but I don't think she was supposed to be up there till around one, so we have about another half hour before it happens."

"Hey guys?" Rachel asks, "Tell me if this isn't something she would like but I was thinking that today we could forgo the vocal exercises we've been working on and get everyone to do a song or something for Quinn. You know, get everyone to show her their support, we can get back to preparing for Sectionals at another time but I think it might be nice to do this for Quinn. I mean it's not like we can do much but…"

"I think she would appreciate it, did you have anything specific in mind?" Brittany asks.

"Not really, I was thinking today we could talk about it with the rest of the club and then for the rest of the week we work on it in secret and then surprise her on Friday."

"I'm not sure how thrilled Quinn will be to have her personal business spread around like that. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for doing something nice for Quinn, but I don't know that she would want the details of her life being passed around the glee club." Santana says.

"Well we don't have to go into anything specific," Rachel says. "Just say that today has been really rough on her and that it might be a good idea to let her know that her friends are here for her."

"I guess that would be okay." Santana says.

Santana was furious, no she was beyond furious and the icy cold glares that Brittany and Rachel were sporting as well as the growl she had heard come from Finn showed that she wasn't the only one. What the hell was Mr. Schuester thinking, the guy was a bit of a dork, and some of his ideas had been stupid. Harmless, but still stupid, but this, this right here had to be the worst idea she had ever heard.

They had just finished explaining Quinn's situation and what they wanted to do to the rest of the glee club and everybody was on board and excited for it. Since Quinn had taken over as captain they were finally starting to work together, almost like a well-oiled machine, everyone was getting to play their strengths and were feeling like a valued member of the team. Quinn had been great at doing that, even on the cheerios, she made sure that everyone knew they were needed. So the idea to spend some time and show her some support had been really well received. They had just started talking about song ideas when Mr. Schuester had come into the choir room. Santana could see the forced smile on his face and he seemed a little nervous.

"Hey guys, could you all take your seats." Santana narrows her eyes at him, he's being awfully fidgety even for him, but she takes her seat next to Brittany anyway.

"First of all, welcome back, I hope you all had a good weekend. I have a couple of things I would like to say." Santana watches his eyes dart to the door and so Santana follows his gaze, staring intently at the door.

"Okay, first I want to ask, has anyone heard from Puck? He's been gone a week now and his family is really worried about him."

Everyone does some kind of variation of shaking their heads and mumbling no.

"Alright, well if you do please let someone know." He looks around the room, "Hey where's Quinn?"

"She had to testify against her parents today, she'll be back tomorrow." Brittany answers.

Mr. Schue nods his head and everyone can see the concern in his eyes, its times like these that they really know that he cares about them.

"Alright, guys I have some news… I mean good news." He says nervously, and they can tell that he's not exactly thrilled with this idea either right now. Each of them is now wondering what Ms. Pillsbury has gotten him to do. For someone who was never there, that woman had a remarkable amount of sway on their club.

"As you all know we're a member short, well talking with Ms. Pillsbury and other parties, and I agree that this is a good thing, so if you'll all just keep an open mind, I would like to introduce the newest member of New Directions." Mr. Schuester waves to the door. "Come on in."

Santana felt like her head was going to explode, because walking through that door was none other than David Karofsky. There were times when Santana knew that Mr. Schuester cared about all of them… and then there were times like these where she wondered if he was an idiot sent here to make them miserable.

The reaction from the group was as quick as it was predictable.

"No! Hell no! You can't be serious!?" Mercedes shouts.

"Oh my God… Sylvester's finally found a way to destroy glee club." Tina gasps.

"This can't be happening, this cannot be happening." Kurt whispers to himself over and over again, looking seconds away from a panic attack.

"This can't be real, I mean what could he possibly be doing here?" Artie leans over and whispers to Finn.

Finn however is already on his feet, followed closely by Mike and Matt. "This is bull! Mr. Schuester you can't seriously be thinking about letting him in here!?" Finn yells.

Before Mr. Schue could answer Karofsky speaks up, sounding just as angry as the rest of the kids in the room. "Like I want to be here at this loser parade!"

"Then why the fuck are you here!?" Santana snarls, this was one of the assholes who had slushied Quinn, the hell she was letting him anywhere near her. "We don't want you here so why don't you turn around and disappear."

"Look I have to be here, my parents say it's either this or quit football." He shoots back.

"Oh, poor baby." Brittany mocks.

"Mr. Schuester, you really can't be serious here." Rachel speaks up, trying to be a voice of reason. "While I agree that he needs some serious therapy," Rachel turns and scowls at Karofsky, "What kind of sick degenerate throws something at someone's face especially when it's been injured," she turns her attention back to Mr. Schuster, "but putting him in this club is just asking for trouble."

"You got that right." Karofsky mumbles quietly, but no quietly enough to not be over heard.

"You touch anyone in this club and I'll finish what you started two weeks ago." Santana says straight up ready for a fight. Karofsky's eyes blaze but he doesn't do anything as he sees Finn, Mike, and Matt all take a menacing step forward, placing themselves between Santana and him.

"I don't know why you're acting all high and mighty, you're worse than I am you psycho!"

"You shut your damn mouth!" Mercedes snarls, "Santana has more than stepped up and earned her place here, so don't you dare come walking in like your better than her or anyone else in this club!"

"Y-yeah, you bully." Tina stammers but there is a fierce glare on her face… well as fierce as Tina was able to get.

"Word up." Artie says rolling forward.

"Guys!" Mr. Schuester yells, pulling all attention to him. "Look I know that this will take some getting used to, but I'm sure that given time you can all find some common ground."

"Yeah, we hate each other." Brittany says in an icy voice, she remembers very clearly Quinn's scream when she had been hit by that slushy. Brittany had never been so scared in her entire life. Maybe they would get lucky and he would leave like Puck had.

"David here has some… pent up aggression, his parents are worried that football might be making it worse, he's here to help balance that out. This is a place where everyone can come, where we can put aside our differences and really get to know each other. David here needs our help, and I seem to remember that a few of you weren't all that excited when some of our other members joined and look at you now, you're all friends."

Santana thought it was a little generous to say they were all friends, but they certainly had gotten to a point where they all liked or at least respected each other.

"Yeah but none of them sent someone to the hospital before." Rachel pipes up.

"Look, it was a stupid slushy, you losers-" David tries to defend himself but it's surprisingly Tina who interrupts him.

"Have you ever been slushied, because I can tell you right now that even without having a fractured cheek bone, which Quinn did have, it still hurts. It's like getting punched in the face, plus it's humiliating and cold, and I only wish that you could for even one second feel the same way that I have and other people in this club have when you get hit by one. It's not fun." She says glaring at him.

"Don't worry about that T, I'm sure that he'll be experiencing one soon enough, after all he's in glee club now, he's a "loser" just like the rest of us." Artie says, a smirk playing on his face at the thought.

"Alright guys, that's enough. I'm really disappointed in you, we accept everyone here, no exceptions. David is now a member of this team and I expect you to treat him like one." Mr. Schuester scolds them.

"I'm sorry Mr. Schue, but you haven't had to live under this Neanderthal's tyranny, he's made my life miserable for a while now, so excuse me for not jumping for joy to see him here, in what was once a safe haven. You've basically invited a wolf in with the sheep." Kurt says, he manages to sound calm, but he looks almost as white as a sheet.

"David take a seat, we need to get started." Mr. Schue says with a shake of his head. Despite what his kids may think, he wasn't exactly excited to have the boy here either. While he hoped it would work out he knew that Karofsky had been causing trouble for his kids. But the boy's parents had been adamant that he just needed a non-violent way to release his pent up energy. Football was too violent in the mother's opinion and so if David wanted to continue it he needed to do something to counter it. And what better way to make amends than to work with the people he had been hurting. He had flat out wanted to say no, but Principal Figgins, Emma, and Sylvester had had all been there, why Sylvester was there he had no idea, she probably just wanted to stir up trouble, but there was no way he could refuse a kid entry, not with all of them there, and especially not when he had founded the club on the ideal that it was a place for everyone, no matter where they came from. So he had accepted, knowing David didn't want to be there and that his kids wouldn't want him there. It was a tough situation for all involved and he could only hope and try to facilitate it working out.

"Okay so why don't we start with what Quinn had planned, Brittany I believe the floor is yours." Mr. Schuester says hoping to get the kids focused on the music and off Karofsky being here. Hopefully if he could get them working they would come together as a team… hopefully. Last week had been focused on individual vocals, they now knew the range and strengths and weaknesses of each voice. This weak was going to be dancing. Quinn pointed out and he agreed, that they didn't need to be the best dancers, just good enough to have it compliment their vocals which is where they shined. Brittany was going to be mostly in charge of this, with some help from Rachel who had been taking lessons from a very young age.

Brittany jumps up, "Alright so I'm going to show you guys a quick little routine that I made, don't worry I kept it simple. Quinn made sure to remind me to work as if you're all beginners so this shouldn't be too fast and if you already can dance, be patient, this is just to see who needs help."

Brittany went over the routine a couple of times, it was a simple routine and it would make it easy for her to see who had a talent for dance and who would need help and tutoring. She went around and examined everyone as they danced. She knew Santana would get it down no problem. Matt was a little uncertain, he had in her opinion, obviously never danced before, but he had a natural grace to him that made him almost a natural and with a little more practice would be fine, probably ending up at Santana's or Quinn's level. Mike was a pleasant surprise, he had said he had a little experience but he moved just as well as she did, which was great. She would have to push him and see just how far he could go.

Rachel was… surprising as well, it was obvious she had had lessons, she was very graceful but also way too independent. She needed to learn how to be more of a team player, her moves showed that she understood the gist of it, but her need to be a star caused her to substitute her own moves into the routine which could be detrimental to them in competition.

Artie was also another surprise, she had underestimated him because of the wheel chair but he was actually quite good as well and he was able to move the chair and himself in such a way that it worked really well. She was excited to work with him and really see what he could do.

Mercedes was too self-conscious when she moved, too aware of herself. She just needed to learn how to let go and have fun with it. A confidence boost and some practice and she would be just fine though. Kurt was like Rachel, in that he liked to substitute his own moves in place of the ones shown, but he didn't have any of Rachel's training so it looked a little more clumsy. She would have to take them both aside and speak to them, independence was great, but not at the expense of your team or the performance.

As for Finn… Finn was her friend and she would do her very best to help him. Besides she was up for a challenge.

And finally Karofsky, she would have to let Quinn handle it. She didn't want to, but he wasn't even trying and she had no idea how to talk to him without telling him to go away. Maybe if she wasn't so angry at him she could have found something nice to say, but as it was she was sticking to the golden rule for now, if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all.

Everyone was ready for glee to be done and they were all thankful when it was over and Mr. Schuester dismissed them. What should have been a fun day had been dragged down and filled with tension by David Karofsky's presence. He was the first leave, making a bee line for the door and as soon as he was gone it was like a weight had lifted from the room.

"I don't know if I can do this." Kurt says quietly to himself, but everyone turned and looked as they had all heard.

"What do you mean?" Mercedes asks.

"I… not everyone has been as cool as you guys about me coming out and… he and his friends have been some of the worst about it. I don't know if I can keep coming if he's going to be here."

"Kurt." Finn says standing before the boy, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Don't let him scare you away from this, you're really talented and we need you. New Directions won't be the same if you're not here. Don't let him scare you, and if he gives you any trouble or if anyone else does, you come to me."

"Not just him, we've got your back." Matt says as he moves up next to Finn with Mike following behind nodding his agreement.

"Not just them, be yourself Kurt, be the unicorn you are." Brittany says firmly. "We girls are here for you too."

Kurt looks a little choked up so he doesn't speak, but he nods his head in thanks and everyone understands what he's having trouble saying.

"I have no idea how we're going to break this to Quinn. She's going to be pissed." Santana says.

"Yeah… not looking forward to that conversation." Brittany agrees.

"Speaking of Quinn, how do we want to do this, the song for her… I mean?" Mike asks.

"Let's sleep on it, and if you get an idea text it to either myself, Britt, or Rachel. We'll get more serious tomorrow, I think we're all too exhausted after today to make any real progress." Santana says.

Santana, Brittany, Finn, and Rachel had all gone to Rachel's house after school. LeRoy and Hiram were home as well and even Aiden had stopped by, all of them eager to hear how things had gone, and to make sure that Quinn was okay. They didn't have to wait long before they heard the front door swing open.

"Mija! Sweetheart, please I promise you it's going to be okay!" They all hear Maribel call after Quinn, her voice sounding very distressed.

Santana was up like a shot and she got to the entrance way just in time to see Quinn's tear stained face as she rushes up stairs to her room. Santana doesn't waste a second and takes off after her best friend, reaching the top of the stares just as everyone else enters the entry way.

"Amor, what's wrong, what happened?" Aiden asks as he goes over to his wife and gathers her in his arms. She rests her head against her husband for a second before looking up at him.

"Things just got a little more complicated."

A.N. So once again, I'm really sorry about how long it was between updates. These past few weeks have been a literal hell, seriously, anything that could go wrong went wrong. So writing had to kind of take a back seat to basically everything else. So it took me forever to finish this chapter and it was a surprisingly hard one to write as well, but all things considered I think it turned out pretty good and it's helping to set up a couple of things that are coming up.

Now I would like to take a moment to address something that a few of you have been curious about. I've had a couple of you ask me now about the Quinntana pairing and when it was going to happen. The answer to that it will happen after the baby is born. Once the baby is born I will set things up so that the two of them can get together and they will be together before sectionals of their junior year. So between the baby being born and sectionals is when Santana and Quinn will officially get together. Once they get together they will then be together for the rest of the story. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and as always I will try to have the next chapter up on Friday… it might not happen but I will try.
