Santana couldn't help but marvel over how calm and poised her friend was. Quinn had just heard the results of her parent's trial, and the results were mixed to say the least, but Quinn didn't seem to be all that affected by it.
Her father had been found guilty and would be given his sentencing on Monday, her mother however had been acquitted. She had been successful in painting herself as the victim as well and the jury had bought it, and while Santana would agree that with Russell's less than sunny disposition that was true up to a point, Judy had pulled a lot of shit herself and she deserved some kind of come-uppance.
"You okay Q?"
Quinn and Santana were waiting outside the courtroom for Maribel to finish up some last minute things. Quinn turns to her and shrugs, "I'm fine, a little bored."
"Don't Quinn, seriously, how are you?"
Quinn lets out a sigh, "I'm strangely okay, look I… I don't know exactly how I should feel right now, I'm not happy obviously but I'm certainly not sad or upset, I mean at least my dad's not getting away with it, and as for my mom… I meant it when I said I was done with both of them, I don't care, well maybe that's not the right way to say it… or maybe it is. It's just, this is so much more than I ever expected to happen. Yeah she got off but I know my mom and this is killing her, acquitted or not she was still put on trial for being a shitty person and so her reputation is pretty much shot in her social circles so..." Here Quinn shrugs her shoulders.
"I still think it's stupid that she got off." Santana huffs angrily.
Quinn smiles at her, "Maybe a little, but honestly I'll take what I can get and really for me, this wasn't necessarily about winning, it was about finally fighting back. I'm free of them, both of them, that's a pretty big win in my book."
Santana was about to say more when they heard someone walking towards them, Santana looks up and it's only the fact that Quinn seemed to have some kind of supernatural precognitive abilities and had grabbed her hand that stopped Santana from attacking Judy Fabray as she walks over to them.
"Mom."
"Well I hope you're happy Quinn, you have effectively destroyed this family." Judy says without any preamble.
Quinn shrugs her shoulders, "Can't destroy what never existed."
"Don't be so flippant, are you really this selfish? You've ruined your father's life, you've ruined my reputation, don't you care at all? How could you do this to me?"
Santana's nostrils flare and she would like nothing more than to put this bitch on the ground. "Listen to me you fucked up little-"
"San it's okay," Quinn interrupts her, squeezing her hand gently. Quinn then stairs at her mother for a moment before finally deciding on what she wants to say. "You know it's funny that you asked me that. How could I do that to you? Because I asked myself that very same question for the last sixteen years. How could you do this to me? How could you let daddy hurt me the way that he did? How could you let him yell and scream at me when I didn't do anything wrong? How could you not care that he hurt me badly enough that I had to go to the hospital? How could you always belittle me, how could you hate me, how could you continually hurt me?" Quinn closes her eyes and takes a calming breath and when she opens them again there are tears in them but they never fall.
"When I came to you, and needed your help… I was pregnant and you didn't even care to hear what happened. You slapped me and called me a slut, never mind the fact that I didn't ask for this to happen, never mind the fact that I didn't choose this, that I…" Quinn takes a shaky breath, "All you cared about was your precious reputation. So I came to you told you I was pregnant and that I needed you and you… you just stood there and didn't think about me at all, for even one second. You let daddy beat me again, you saw how hard he hit me, you saw the blood and you just stood there and you let him throw me out, literally throw me out, into the streets. You had no idea what could have happened to me."
Quinn shakes her head in disbelief at her mother, "I almost died, did you know that? Daddy hit me so hard that it gave me a concussion and I almost died and you didn't do a damn thing. And you ask me how could I do this to you, I used to ask myself that same question. Now I don't care, just like you."
Judy sneers at her youngest daughter. "You were always a little drama queen. Why couldn't you just toe the line, my mommy and daddy didn't love me enough, wah wah, life's tough. You know, I never wanted you. Did you know that? I never wanted a second child but your father insisted we have another. And then you were born, this pudgy little blob and I felt nothing, you were just a constant reminder that I was stuck in a life that I never wanted. Maybe this whole thing has really been a blessing in disguise because now, because of you, I'm free. I don't have to see your father again, I don't have to put up with you anymore, I'm finally free."
"Well then, I guess that's all there is to say." Quinn says her voice is steady and calm, almost indifferent. But her mother's words are affecting her more than she would like but she refuses to show any weakness to the other woman. "Goodbye Judy, have a nice life."
Quinn tries to lead them away but Santana holds her there for a second. "Quinn's said her piece and knowing you, you probably won't give a damn about what I'm going to say but it still needs to be said." Santana snarls, "You're a piece of shit, you are the lowest scum in the world. Quinn is one of the most amazing people in the entire planet and you didn't deserve her. You talk about being free, but the fact is you're a miserable excuse for a human being and you won't ever be happy because you don't deserve to be. You'll always want more but it will never be enough, you will always be miserable and that… that makes me happier than I ever thought possible.
Nobody will ever love you because there is nothing there to love. You're an empty husk of a person and you will always be miserable and you and I both know it. And hate her all you want, but we both know that it's your own fault not Quinn's. But Quinn, she has tons of people who love her, who adore her, who understand that they are blessed to have her in their lives. She may have fallen but she has had no shortage of people to pick her back up. Quinn's going to be just fine, but what do you have bitch, nobody is here for you. No one. You're all alone and we both know that this is it for you, fuck you, Quinn's life is just starting but you, we all know that your life is pretty much done, people don't change and how things are for you today are how they are going to be for you ten and even twenty years from now. But I guess you can go to bed knowing that in your entire life you did one thing right, you brought Quinn into this world.
I hope you get everything you deserve Judy, because we both know how completely fucked you are if that happens."
Santana then turns and looks to Quinn, who is staring at her in awe, "Now we can go Querida." Santana says as she gently starts to lead Quinn away.
"You little b-" Judy begins to speak glaring at Santana but before she can even finish her first sentence she is interrupted.
"Now I know that not even you are stupid enough to be talking to either of my girls right now." Maribel is walking over to them and she looks angrier than either Santana or Quinn had ever seen her.
"You need to teach your daughter how to respect her betters."
"And you need to shut your damn mouth and walk away before I have you arrested, again. You're still in violation of the restraining order against you for Quinn."
"I'm aloud to be near her in the courtroom for the trial." Judy sneers back.
"Trial's over and this isn't the courtroom but if you need more incentive to leave how about this, if you don't walk away right now I'm going to take this brief case and-" Maribel leans forward and whispers something into Judy's ear, too quietly for either Quinn or Santana to make out what it was. For a second Judy's face pales and her eyes widen in shock before she recovers.
"Did you just threaten me?" Judy asks, looking for a moment as if Christmas had come early.
Maribel smiles pleasantly at her. "I want you to look over your shoulder, you'll see Devon Woodcomb the District Attorney and Mayor Johnson having a conversation," Maribel waves to them pleasantly and they smile and wave back before turning back to their conversation.
"Over there is Judge Williams talking to his assistant and over there," Here Maribel's smile widens, "You remember Benjamin Pearce of course, he's the one who dragged you and your husband's sorry asses in here. I want you to look around at all of these important people and I want you to know that I would do to you what I just said right here in front of all of them with a big fucking smile on my face. And here's the kicker, you can try and go and speak to them, tell them what I said but I promise you not a single one of them would ever believe you… well you could try them all except for Ben Pearce, he hates you more than I do. So save yourself a trip to the hospital and walk away."
It looks for a moment as if Judy is going to stand her ground, if for no other reason than to preserve her wounded pride. She and Maribel continue to have a stare down until finally Judy can't take it anymore and she turns her head away.
"Whatever, I don't have to put up with this." And with that Judy turns and leaves.
"That's right, walk away bitch." Maribel turns to Quinn and Santana once she's seen that Judy has exited the building. "Are you two okay?"
"Damn mami, that was totally badass." Santana says, looking at her mother impressed.
"You won't get into any trouble will you?" Quinn asks nervously.
"Language mija, and thank you." She affectionately ruffles Santana's hair who rolls her eyes and swats her hand away.
"Don't worry Quinn I won't get into any trouble. Sweetheart I'm really sorry about today, I thought I would be able to pull it off in the end but she got off, I am so sorry."
Quinn shakes her head, "Don't be, it's okay, really. You got my dad, and as for my mom… it's finally over. She can do whatever the hell she wants with her life and I'm free to live my own. I'm okay I promise."
Maribel nods her head in acceptance at Quinn's words, doing her best to ignore the guilt that she feels for not being able to put Judy away for her as well. "I do have some good news for you though, the judge has seen fit to award you half of your parents' assets, it's not a lot unfortunately, your parents were pretty close to declaring bankruptcy, but it'll leave you a nice chunk of change to set aside for savings and for college. And I want you to know that both Aiden and I are more than willing to help you out in that area as well."
Santana smiles as she watches Quinn hug her mother, now that this was all over Quinn could finally move on with her life. She was going to be okay and that helped Santana to breathe just a little easier.

Before they enter into the choir room, Quinn takes a deep and calming breath and Santana smiles sympathetically at her friend.
Due to the efforts of Quinn as well as the threat of being forced from glee club and thereby having to quit football as well, David Karofsky was finally starting to participate in the club. Albeit reluctantly and with about as much of a half assed effort as possible. But at least it was something. Unfortunately for Quinn, as the captain, he was mostly her headache to deal with.
It hadn't helped matters that she and the others had forgotten to inform Quinn of what had happened.
It was the day after the big night with everyone and so far the day had been going great. No big issues had come up, everything for now was just fine. School was finally out and the five friends were heading to glee club.
"So Brittany how was everyone's dancing? Where do we stand on that?" Quinn asks.
"For the most part we're okay um… I'm really sorry Finn but you'll need to put in some extra work though." Brittany says apologetically.
"What she means is that I have about as much grace as a drunk rhinoceros." Finn laughs, "Don't worry I'll work extra hard, just try and be patient with me, okay."
Brittany laughs as she wraps an arm around Finn. "Don't worry Finn, we'll have you dancing like a pro in no time. Oh yeah and that reminds me, Rachel, you need to work on your dancing as well."
Rachel looks taken aback, "What do you mean, I've been taking dancing lessons for years now, I'm quite talented thank you very much."
"Yes you are, but you also don't follow the choreography. You look and move great but it's not with the choreography that I set up, you substituted your own moves in which, you know, is fine when it's a solo number with you as the star, but when we're doing group numbers it's a detriment. We need to be seen moving as one."
"I was just…" Rachel pauses and takes a moment to consider what Brittany has just said. "You are of course correct Brittany. It's very unprofessional of me to do that and it is something that I will endeavor to work on in the future. Please be patient with me, I'm still getting used to this whole "working as a team" thing."
Brittany laughs, "It's no big deal Rachel, you're a star and we all know it and you do move very gracefully, it's just it won't look good to the judges if we don't look organized. I'm not too worried. It'll just be some practice on your part and don't worry you're not the only one who's doing it."
"Really?"
"Nope, Kurt does it too and so I'll be taking you both aside and helping you. Quinn you and Santana can dance just fine, but when the baby starts to get bigger I'll either team you up with myself or Mike to help make up for it. Next to me Mike's our best dancer by the way."
Quinn nods her head, making a mental note of that.
"Let's see, who else. Oh yes, Mercedes and Tina are okay, they just need a little practice. And besides they are more vocalists than dancers anyway. Matt with some more training will probably be as good as you and Santana and also Artie, he's a surprisingly good dancer, I'm excited to incorporate him and his chair into our numbers he's really good."
"Cool B, anything else I should be aware of?"
Brittany shakes her head, "Nope, not that I can think of."
The five friends enter choir room and take their seats as they wait for the rest of the club and Mr. Schuester to arrive. Quinn waves as Mercedes and Kurt enter and they wave back and come say their hellos. The next to arrive are Tina and Artie, both of them look a little flustered but pleased and Quinn wonders for a moment if they are dating or not. They wave their hellos as well before going back to their conversations.
Matt and Mike are the last to arrive and as they do Quinn realizes that they are short one member. They need twelve people to be able to compete and they only have eleven. "Guys I just realized something."
The entire club turns to her. "I hate to be the one to bring this up but we're one person short, we need twelve people to compete and we only have eleven, we need to find someone fast, sectionals is just around the corner."
It doesn't escape Quinn's notice that everyone looks around at each other awkwardly. "Um… Q, Querida, I… um…" Santana trails off.
"What Santana is trying to say is that… well…"Rachel looks to Brittany and Finn helplessly, both of them look to her and then back to Rachel and shake their heads no.
"Guys, what's going on?"
However before they can answer, someone walks into the choir room that causes Quinn's blood to run cold. She looks over at David Karofsky and glares at him. "What are you doing here?" Quinn asks, her voice frosty.
David scowls, "I've been forced into this loser club."
Quinn turns back to the rest of the group, "Tell me he's joking."
"Sorry Querida, we're not exactly happy about it either. I meant to tell you but things got a little heavy yesterday and it kind of slipped my mind." Santana apologizes.
Quinn glares at Karofsky as he takes a seat over in the corner and glares sullenly at the rest of the room. "Okay, fine." Quinn takes a calming breath. "And how's that been working out?"
"Oh about as well as you can imagine." Rachel says with a big humph.
"Like I need to know any of this, I don't want to be here and I'm not going to do any of this faggy stuff." David calls out.
"You shut your damn mouth and don't you ever use that fucking word again!" Quinn snarls. Both Kurt and Santana were gay and there was no way in hell that Quinn was going to let that kind of language fly in a place that was supposed to be a safe haven for all of them. She was the captain of this team and the members of it were her responsibility and she didn't take that lightly, but more than that, these people were her friends.
"Do you understand me?"
David looks away and scoffs, "Whatever."
"No not, "whatever," the only response that I want from you is 'yes I understand' and an apology from you. Or you can leave right now. I'm not putting up with that kind of shit from you and neither is anyone else in here."
This gets a chorus of very vocal support from the rest of the club, with Kurt looking at her gratefully while Santana ducks her head shyly, blushing and trying not to draw attention to herself.
David looks ready to argue but before it can escalate any further Mr. Schuester walks in. "Good afternoon everyone, sorry I'm a bit late. Quinn it's good to see you back."
"Mr. Schuester, what is he doing here?" Quinn demands, this was one of the more interesting jobs of a team captain, at least here at McKinley, and that was standing up to the crazy and sometimes psychotic teachers who ran these clubs. She did it with Sylvester when she was being too hard on the cheerios and now it looked like she would have to do it with Mr. Shcuester and his invitation to their club of one of their biggest tormentors.
Mr. Schue rubs his forehead like he's trying to get rid of a headache, which he kind of was. Day two hadn't even started and there was already a problem with their newest member.
"It's been agreed that to help David work off some of his issues with the members of the club he should join us so that we can all learn to put aside our differences and get along better."
Quinn stairs at him in disbelief before she looks to the rest of the club, all of them watching her to see what she would do and to follow their captains lead. "Fine." Quinn says succinctly before turning to face David. "David, welcome to glee club, you better put in a hundred and ten percent effort because if you don't, you're out."
"Um Quinn, you can't just kick people out of glee club." Mr. Schuester says, sounding exhausted.
Quinn walks over to Mr. Schuester and begins to speak quietly to him. Quiet enough that the rest of the room can't hear her despite their best efforts to listen in. "Actually Mr. Shcuester, I can. You and everyone else made me captain, part of that responsibility is looking out for and protecting the members of this club. I get it, you're the teacher and your hands are tied by school policy and a whole bunch of other crap. But David has been one of the biggest bullies we've had against this club and I know that you can't exactly be thrilled with this arrangement either. But you as a teacher have to be fair and impartial to every member of this club, no matter how reluctantly they are here or how poisonous they currently are to this club. Now maybe he'll work out, I doubt it and so do you probably, but maybe he'll come through. But if not, this is exactly why you have a captain, to handle these kinds of things. As the captain it's my job to kick some ass as needed. So if he causes problems and continues to cause problems I will in fact kick him out."
Mr. Schuester nods his head, actually quite grateful to Quinn. It killed him that he had to let a teenage girl do what should be his job to do as a teacher and adult, but right now his hands were tied. This club's existence was teetering on the edge as it was. Kicking a student out, especially after having his parents and the principal ask that he be allowed to join, would be all the ammunition someone like Sylvester would need to shut this down. If Quinn was able to help control things and smooth things out then he would support her the best he could and make sure to keep a careful eye on the situation so that if something came up where he was allowed to act he would be ready. He cared about these kids and he wanted this to be a safe place for them, but unfortunately, right now his hands were tied.
"Alright Quinn, I'll leave this in your hands, just keep me informed and tell me how I can help when needed."
"Don't worry, I'll come to you if something needs to be done."
After Quinn had come back from speaking with Mr. Schuester they had gotten started. Things had been tense but they certainly hadn't gotten any worse and between Quinn and Mr. Schuester, Karofsky had at least put in enough effort that it wasn't going to be a detriment and it looked like their preparations for sectionals were finally coming along.
"So what's the plan for today?" Santana asks as they walk into the choir room. Everybody's already there except for Mr. Schuester.
Quinn smiles at her and leans in and whispers, "Today is actually going to be pretty important. This weekend people will need to prepare if they want the solo part at sectional's because we're going to be holding the audition on Monday. So I'll be announcing that."
"Sweet, that'll cause some drama." Santana laughs.
"Are you going to try out? You have an amazing voice and it might be fun." Quinn offers.
"Nah, Sectional's not really my thing…" Santana pauses and then smirks, "I'll get back to you when it's time for Nationals though. That's something a little more up to my level."
Quinn just laughs and shakes her head, amused but not surprised at her friend's confidence. Not that Santana had any reason to not be confident. Santana was intelligent, beautiful, talented, and the best friend that anyone could ask for. Quinn's mind begins to wander as she looks at her friend and her gorgeous silky soft hair, beautiful and bright brown eyes, and full pouty lips. Her perfectly toned legs and abs, I mean she has a six pack, how sexy is that!? And-
"You okay Q?" Santana asks, interrupting Quinn's thoughts.
"Yeah I'm fine, why?" Shaking her head to clear it.
"Cause you're looking at me all weird…"
"What!? No I wasn't." Quinn laughs in denial.
"You kind of were."
"No, I wasn't."
"Yes you were." Santana says slowly as if explaining 1+1=2. "Is there something on may face…?"
Quinn shakes her head no.
"Are you sure, because the last time you stared at something that intently it was made of bacon." Santana teases.
Quinn rolls her eyes, "Shut up."
Santana laughs, before going serious again. "You know you can talk to me about anything right? What's going on?"
Quinn blushes, "I was just… nothing, don't worry about it."
"No, what is it?" Santana asks placing a comforting hand on Quinn's arm, and causing a tingling sensation to run down her spine.
Quinn bites her lower lip nervously. "Well…"
Thankfully the arrival of Mr. Shcuester cut her off before she could say or do something stupid. Santana was her friend, nothing more, and she didn't want anything more either. It was the stupid pregnancy hormones that were causing her reaction to her best friend and the sooner she had this baby and got her body back to normal the sooner they would go away.
As Quinn and Santana take their seats Mr. Schuester begins to speak. "Alright guys, I want to start things off by saying how proud I am of all of you. You have all really stepped up and worked hard to improve. To that end, I think that sometimes you need a break and that it's okay to just have fun every once in a while so I'm thinking today is just going to be a free day. Sing whatever you want-"
This gets a loud cheer from everyone, who, while enjoying the new focus in the club, were looking forward to finishing off their week just goofing around and having fun with their friends. No worries about any competition or choreography, just them singing. All of them were excited except for one person.
"If there isn't any point to today's practice can I just go home?" David asks, sounding annoyed.
"David-" Mr. Schue was about to speak up and try and convince him to stay and make an effort with the others but Quinn speaks before him.
"Fine, go home but make sure you aren't late on Monday."
David looks to Mr. Schuester and he can see the relief in Karofsky's eyes at the thought of leaving and nods his head. The boy wastes no time in heading for the door. Once he's gone the undercurrent of tension that was always here was gone instantly and Mr. Schuester felt a little bad that everyone involved had to deal with this. It was obvious David was miserable and at least to himself he could say, even worse his kids were miserable with him here. Quinn had been right to let him go, they needed a free day from all forms of stress.
Still he puts all of this to the back of his mind and steps up excited. "Alright guys, who wants to go first?"
Unsurprisingly it's Rachel who instantly jumps up and gets them started.

Mr. Schuester and Quinn both make a mental note to have more days like this, maybe even to do it the last practice before a competition because it had been a while since they had seen everyone in such high spirits. Yes, everyone was ready and willing to put the team first and practice as hard as they had been but this was a real reminder to the both of them that they needed to also make sure that the others could express themselves as well. This was glee club, not cheerios, and there needed to be more of this.
"Hey guys that was fantastic, before I let you all go today, Quinn has an announcement for all of you. The floor is yours Quinn."
Quinn hops up and stands before her friends. "Hey guys, so big news this weekend, you all need to go home and practice because on Monday we'll be holding auditions for the solo for sectionals."
This gets an excited gasp from just about everyone. Quinn smiles and shakes her head fondly at them. "So pick something that you think will showcase your talent and then on Monday Mr. Schuester and I will listen and then decided who gets it."
This is where Mr. Schuester steps in. "Also, please don't forget that there are three different completions that we are working towards, Sectionals, Regionals, and Nationals, so if you don't get chosen for this competition you still have a shot at the others."
The kids all nod their head in understanding. "Alright then, if there's nothing else, have a great weekend guys and I'll see you all Monday."
"Wait Mr. Schue." It's Tina who calls out. Everyone turns to look at her and her face goes beet red as all of the attention is on her. "Well um, you see the thing is… we've all kind of planned one more group number that we want to perform today."
Mr. Schuester is surprised but pleased by this news and Quinn is confused because she wasn't aware of any group number. Quinn is further surprised when Brittany places an arm around her shoulder and leads her to a seat that Finn had pulled into the middle of the room where she sits Quinn down. Leaving her with a kiss to the cheek.
"We know you've been going through a lot lately Quinn and we want you to know that we're here for you, all of us." Mercedes says with a smile. Quinn is still confused but there is also a pleasant and comforting warmth growing in her chest right now.
"So to that end, and with a little help from Santana in keeping you distracted, the rest of us have put together this number for you to show you how much you mean to us." Finn finishes and with that the first notes of the song begin to play over the piano and Rachel steps forward to start them off.
(Rachel)
You're not alone
Together we stand
I'll be by your side, you know I'll take your hand
(Finn)
When it gets cold
And it feels like the end
There's no place to go
You know I won't give in
(Rachel & Finn)
No I won't give in
(New Directions)
Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
(Tina)
So far away
I wish you were here
Before it's too late, this could all disappear
(Brittany)
Before the doors close
And it comes to an end
With you by my side I will fight and defend
(Tina & Brittany)
I'll fight and defend
(New Directions)
Yeah, yeah
Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
(Mercedes)
Hear me when I say, when I say I believe
Nothing's gonna change, nothing's gonna change destiny
(Kurt)
Whatever's meant to be will work out perfectly
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
(New Directions)
La da da da
La da da da
La da da da da da da da da
Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Keep holding on
Keep holding on
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Quinn's smile is huge as tears stream down her face and she's too choked up to speak but the smiles she is receiving from the other's tell her that they know how much this has meant to her.
It's Santana who initiates what turns into a giant group hug centered on Quinn and Quinn loses what little composure she had and begins to cry in earnest, clinging to her best friend and reveling in the warmth of those that are surrounding her and touched by the love and support that these people are giving her. She really was going to make it, it would be hard at times but with these guys backing her she could handle it, she could handle anything.

A.N. I have to laugh sometimes, this story has strayed so far from the original outline that I set up that the thing is almost completely useless. Like on that thing by chapter 30 Quinn was supposed to be going into labor with Beth and I have no idea how far off that actually is right now. There is so much to cover between now and then and that's just first season stuff because I still have second and third seasons to go as well. This is going to be a long story lol.
Now to talk about Quinntana for a moment. Yes, this story is going to be a Quinntana story, but that pairing is the end game and we've still got a ways to go before we get there. All I ask is that you be patient with me, it's a long drive we have ahead of us and a couple of things have to happen before the two of them get together in my story. If you want more specifics, check out the author's note at the end of chapter 27 because that is about as much detail as I'm willing to go into about it.
Now, on to this chapter specifically. So I decided with how rough everything has been these last few chapters and especially this chapter with Quinn's confrontation with her mother I should end this chapter on a high note. This will be the last we will see of either of Quinn's parents for a while and now at least the story can move on from them. I'm not sure when the next update will be but I hope to have it up soon. Thank you for reading.
The song that New Directions sings to Quinn is Avril Lavign's "Keep Holding On."
