Hi. This is pretty much just a filler chapter. Sorry. I promised someone I would try update this and Criminal but I just couldn't. Sorry to let you down!
Really long time ago…
I called out to Alec, pulling him down so he could see what I was seeing.
"Bring her to me."
Clary
"Do you think he took the bait?" Isabelle as we changed cloths in preparation for phase two of the plan.
"Of course he took the bait. Did you see that vein on his neck was going to explode when I placed the bill down to buy him a drink." I laughed, spinning around in the chair to face the vanity mirror.
"Such a typical guy,' Magnus scoffed coming out of my closet with a tube of body glitter in his hands '-what's wrong with letting the female buy the drink for once! By the way Clarissa I am ever so glad that you decided to come out with us tonight." He smiled bumping me slightly to get a better view in the mirror.
"Where you able to get us on the list?" Isabelle asked from my closet.
"Is the sky blue?" Magnus asked sarcastically looking at her in a 'do you know who you're talking to' manner.
"No, the sky is clear." I responded sliding my arms through my jacket to finish off the look.
"Sorry college girl. So are we ready to go?" he asked turning and leaning against the table.
"We just need to stay long enough to get our things back. If everything goes well, we shouldn't have to call in more back up back up. Just keep him occupied." Isabelle tells me, patting me on the shoulder.
After rubbing more make up over my tattoo, Isabelle and I made our way back to the car so we could go to the club.
This club was one of the many establishments that Jace had complete control over; he knows who comes in and he knows who leaves. Nobody even stands in the line without his say so.
Luckily with Mag and his computer skills we were able to get in past the guards without a problem.
Before we could actually get in the club we were stopped, "Haven't seen you guys around these parts. How'd you manage to get in good enough with the boss to let you in?" he asked, curiosity written all over his face.
"Well I've been told is the smile I smiled sweetly before brushing past him and making my way into the club.
Making our way towards the bar Magnus gave me the rundown on everything I needed to know to get through this without losing my patience.
"Okay, what nobody knows is that there is a whole other floor under this one. That is where they do all they're business. All you have to do is get into the VIP section while Isabelle and I cause a…minor disturbance."
It was at that moment that I felt the hairs on the back of my neck prick up, sign that someone was watching me. I knew exactly who that someone was.
I looked up to be met by the smoky, intense gaze of Mr. Wayland. He leaned over to his dark-haired companion and whispered something to him all while keeping his gaze locked with mine.
"Well it looks like I'm about to leave. You two try not to cause too much damage." I winked over to them before making my way to the bar to await my fate.
"Can I get you somethin ma'am?" the barkeep asked once I got settled.
"That won't be necessary. She'll be taken care of upstairs." A voice to my left stated.
"And what if I don't want to go?" I say looking over to him, but his attention was on something over my shoulder. I looked in the direction to see Magnus completely unaware of the attention he had drawn.
"Look woman, the quicker I do this, the quicker I can get on with my night. Now will you please coöperate?"
"Alright, one condition." I said gathering my stuff and sliding off the stool.
"No conditions, just come on." He said grasping me by my forearm and leading me towards the stairs.
"Just ask him to dance, he'll say yes I swear it." a small smile forms on my face when he stiffens slightly.
"I haven't the slightest idea what you mean." He said before he quickened the pace, practically dragging me up the stairs.
"Oh come on! I saw the way you were looking at him. Dark haired beauty has a crush ohhhh." I laughed up until the point where we were standing in front of…it.
"Here take her away from me, we were together for forty-five seconds and I already want to slam my tongue in a car door." he said pushing me towards him.
"Thanks Alec. You go do you." Jace said nodding back towards the dance floor without taking his eyes off me.
Before Alec could leave I grasped him by the wrist and brought my mouth up to his ear.
"His favorite drink is Strawberry Daiquiri."
He flushed slightly before moving away from me and back down stairs.
"Please take a seat Mrs. Fray." I arch a brow slightly at the name he decided to use. Fray was my mother's maiden name.
"And how do you know my name Mr. Wayland?" I asked taking a seat across from him, fighting against the usual business attitude I have.
"I believe I could ask you the same question." I said placing his left foot on his right knee while sipping his drink.
'I believe I could break your arm in three different places.' I thought to myself.
"You could, if it weren't for that fact that you told me your name at the bar earlier." He looked up and me and laughed slightly.
"Well, I say it is always nice to have a woman let me chase her for once. Can I get you anything to drink?" he asked signally for a waiter to come to us.
"Yes sir." He said, it even giving me a second glance.
"Can you get Ms. Fray here a drink?" he said motioning over to me.
"Can I get a bottle of Jose Cuervo and a glass please?" he hurried away and came back with a new bottle and a clean glass.
"How do you get people not to card you? It's obvious that you are underage." He asked once I broke the seal and poured my drink.
"How does anyone get anything they want?" I asked downing the shot and looking back at him.
"I would like to forgive you for your horrible attitude towards me earlier today. You must not completely understand who I am."
For the love of-is he still on this spiel
"I know exactly who you are…I just don't really care. I won't be intimidated by a pretty boy with a gun. Thanks for the drink." I said reaching across the table, patting his knee, preparing to leave.
He grabbed my wrist and roughly dragged me across the small space, into his lap so that my legs straddled his thighs.
"Why I do appreciate the fact that you think my hair I pretty, I do not appreciate you're tone or attitude. I suggest that you change that quickly before I lose my temper. You think you can handle that princess?"
I went from hovering over his crotch, to sitting directly on it. He let out a strangled moan before jerking his hips up towards mine.
"I can handle it baby. Can you handle it?" I said meeting my hips with his again. Before he could get a good grip on my hips we were interrupted,
"JC, we have a problem down stairs." The guy said, out of breath. I bit back the smile that was starting to form on my face.
He pushed me off his lap and back into the chair I was originally sitting in, "Don't move, I'll be back." He says before turning back to the guy.
"How could this have happened?! What do you I pay you guys for?" I heard his voice trail behind him.
Everyone that was originally at the top was gone, leaving me at the top looking down on the floor.
I pulled out my phone and pressed one,
"We're out." the voice said. He hung up before I could respond. I smiled to myself before going back down to the first level and walking out of the club.
I just wish it could have been that easy.
Jace
All thought of the sexy red-head that was grinding on me were whipped out of my head when I heard 'problem' and 'down stairs' in the same sentence.
I pushed past Henry, or Simon or whatever his name was and ran down stairs. Alec was the first person I saw when I made it down the stairs. His hands were knotted in his hair an aggregated expression on his face.
"Alec, what the heck happened?"
"Where the hell did you find these assholes!" he said pointing to the guards that were supposed to be watching everything.
"It's just as much your fault as it is ours!" one of them yelled "you were too busy dancing with that queer (an: hate this word but it was either this or the 'F' word) to be watching anything."
"This. Isn't. My. Job! You have a simple task, either redirect people- or kill them. How the hell did you let them get away?!" Alec screamed He looked like he was ready to launch himself at the guy.
"Alright everybody just shut the hell up. Clear the club out and let's get to the bottom of this." The 'guards' went upstairs to clear the club, leaving me and Alec.
"Show me what happened." I said. He didn't respond he just walked towards the back of the room.
I followed quietly, praying it wasn't as bad as Alec is making it seem.
Praying got me know where.
At the back of the room was a hole
A huge fucking hole.
"What the hell." Was all I could get out before Alec went at it again.
"What the hell is right! There's a gigantic fucking hole in the side of the club. And get this; everything we got from Robert is gone. It had to be Red; they only took what was stolen from them…and just in case you didn't hear me the first time. THEY BLEW A FUCKING HOLE IN THE SIDE OF THE CLUB! What the hell was wrong with using the door? ARGHHH!" Alec fisted his hand in his hair again.
"Alec, cut that out before you pull your damn hair out." I laughed out slightly. He turned to me with cold eyes.
"Do you think this is a funny Jace?" he asked coking his head to the side.
"Of course not, but you are serving as comic relief. He didn't get everything." I said, remembering what I have in my room.
"What do you mean?" Alec says. More tension forming in his shoulders.
"If he went through all the trouble to get everything else, imagine how upset he'll be when he realizes that he doesn't have everything." I say shrugging my shoulders.
"Jace this is the Mafia we're talking about. Not some guy on the street that owes you money. You don't want to mess with this guy."
"Alec is that fear I see in your eyes?" I asked shocked. I've never known Alec to be afraid of anything.
"Hell yeah! You better believe it. Jace this guy has taken out entire neighborhoods. If you were smart you would be slightly scared too!"
"Fear isn't in my vocabulary." I lied said to myself.
"Do what you have to do, just try not to get me-or more importantly yourself- killed in the process." He said before pushing past me, leaving a string of profanities in his trail.
I was leaned against the charred lining of the wall and thought about my next plan, when I felt something sticky on my fingers.
I pulled my hands out of my pocket and rubbed them together, mixing the strange substance.
Make up.
Clary
"You blew a hole in the side of the building? What the hell Magnus!" I said playfully pushing him. We finally made it back home with all of my things. Well almost all- he still has my assault rifle.
I sighed out deeply at having to go back.
I didn't want to start anything; I just wanted to get back what's mine.
"I think it's time we pay Mr. Wayland a visit."
Coming up…
"Jace." Alec said putting his hand on my chest in a warning way. "There is someone here to see you.
.
.
.
I looked down at the note in with shaky hands,
Magnus should really blow off some steam.
My heart stopped in my chest. I screamed his name but he was already too far away to hear me.
I started to run.
But I was too late. When the key twisted in the ignition the explosion was so strong it threw me across the lot.
Pain.
That was all I could feel. The ringing in my ears got stronger when rolled to my stomach to see the blaze.
"Magnus!" I screamed before blacking out.
Guys, you should probably not get too attached to anyone…just saying.
Review. I did wrote this chapter listening to a mix of FOB, MCR, Breathe Carolina and The Cab
