Sorry I haven't updated in forever. I've just been going through some stuff and it's been hard to think of something to write, but you guys don't want to hear my sob story. I want to give a shout out to Super S.J for her constant and I mean constant support, it's really uplifting. I hate to break it to you guys, but someone is going to have to die. Sorry.

I'll edit this tomorrow and re-post it.

Last Time:

The time for games, was over. I grabbed a cigarette and went to, my deck to get some fresh air. If he wanted a fight, I guess we were going to fight.

Jace:

"So, that's her then,-' Alec started '- you know I didn't see that one coming, what are you gonna do Boss?" Jace, asked placing his hand on my shoulder.

"This, bitch breaks into my house, and my office pulls a gun on Aline, and you, then she threatened me. Mafia or not, I'm not going to let her treat me like that." Alec looked like he was going to laugh,

"Jace you don't even like Aline- like at all." He was right, I really couldn't stand her. But before I could continue with my rant, my phone started to ring. I motioned for Alec to leave the room, because I recognized the number. Once I was sure, he was gone, I picked up,

"Wayland." I'm tired of all this Mafia business,

"Mr. Wayland, I'm glad you decided to pick up, how was your meeting with Ms. Fairchild?" the voice asked,

"How'd you know about that." I sad-looking out the window, to see if anyone was watching my office.

"None, of your concern, plans have changed, I don't want you to just kill her anymore that would be too easy, I want you to take away everything she loves…and then kill her." I sighed out heavily,

"What the hell is your beef with her?" Between, having a mob boss break into my house, finding out the mob boss is actually a girl, who can't be older than 18, and I think I just started something, that I may or may not have initiated.

"If I wanted you to know, I would have told you. Now, are you going to do this or not." Before I wanted nothing to do with this, but after meeting her, I knew she needed to be brought down a peg.

"What do I need to do?"

"For now all I need you to do is deliver a package."

^*^TIMEBREAK^*^

"So you're just going to do what they say?" Alec says eyeing the package suspiciously.

"The key to be a good leader knows when to follow…and she came in my house and threatened me. If this is what it takes, then this is what I'm doing. It's not like it's going to hurt anyone." I said shrugging on my jacket, walking out of the room to the front door.

"We don't know that." Alec mumbled following me to the door. "Are you sure you don't want anyone to come with you, it may be a set up." he said

"I'll be fine Alec. You worry too much.' I smirked and walked out of the house rethinking every step I took.

When I got in the car I reread the note that was left on the box,

Jace,

Do not open this box.

If you follow the instructions are the next page you will be led to a parking lot.

In the will be a black escalade, the trunk will be unlocked, that is where you will place the box. Please be gentle.

This us fragile merchandise.

J

I sigh out deeply before following the instructions that will hopefully end all of this bullshit.

Clary

Some little fucker had been skimming from us. The numbers just weren't adding up. There was always someone willing to steal, but lessons had to be taught so no one was brave enough to try it. No one would steal from my family and live to tell the tale.

"Uncle Vincent. What a surprise." I said getting up preparing to give him my chair.

"No my dear, that is your chair." He said easing his way down in the seat across from my desk, leaning his cane against the arm of the chair.

"How's the leg been doing?" I asked closing the files that were on my desk.

"We got a lead on who ordered the hit. It's one of our own." He said

I raised a brow, "Excuse me?"

"There's a bug in the system. Someone here is not on the same page as everyone else."

"Do you know who it is?" I asked leaning back in the chair in astonishment.

"No, whoever it is good."

"Tell no one about this. As far as you are concerned it could be anybody."

"Yes Uncle."

"Your father had this same problem when he first took over." He said readjusting his tie.

"What did he do?"

"He found the guy and killed him in front of everyone, as an example. It destroyed him but it had to be done. Family is never supposed to turn on family." He said, walking out without another word.

I groaned and slammed my head on my desk making a loud clunk echo off the walls of my office.

"Yo sis, I didn't know Uncle Vincent was visiting today." Jonathan said brightly, sitting in the seat across from me.

"Yeah it was a surprise to me as well."

"What'd he stop by for?" he asked, his smile dropping all of a sudden.

"Does family need a reason to stop by?" I asked restacking the files on my desk, preparing to leave.

"I guess not." he said standing to meet me by the door, 'it just seems odd."

I say nothing in response, because he's right.

I followed john to the weapons room to gather everything that was needed for today's meeting. I explained my frustrations to my brother,

"I don't understand why people feel the need to steal from us. How many examples will I have to make before people begin to understand- don't fuck with us." I said fisting my hands in my hair out of frustration, I habit my brother and I apparently picked up from our mother.

"Some people just don't believe you until you prove to them you mean business." Jonathan said carefully tossing the bag over his shoulder and walking out of the room and towards the front door.

I nodded slightly before following him out of the house and into the car that was waiting in the front.

"Magnus is meeting us down there to make sure that we retrieve everything that was taken from us.' Jonathan said when we got far enough down the road.

Magnus never comes with us on visits like this; he usually stays behind to make sure everything is working as smoothly as it should.

We drove the rest of the way in a comfortable silence; I'm assuming it's to prepare our minds for what we were about to do.

Even though we are both use to this lifestyle and the burdens that come with it, it doesn't make what we have to do any less troubling.

The car finally stopped,

"Let's finish I want to be home in time for the Leverage marathon." I sighed, climbing out of the car.

If we judged this correctly, he wouldn't know we were here. If he did know- well things are going to be that more interesting.

We walked in to see everything moving as it should be, the product was being cut and packed while money was being cleaned and stacked. (AN: sorry that rhymed.) But even from where I'm standing I can see that the money's not right.

"Can I have everyone's attention please?" I said as loud as I could without screaming. Everyone in the room turned to look at me before turning back to what they were doing, i rolled my eyes and reached behind me pulling my gun out of my waist band. I shot it into the air causing everyone to freeze and some to scream.

"Now that I have your attention. Can we all gather in the center and can someone please get Carlos in here." I said pinning my hair into a messy bun, smiling softly.

'Who the hell are you and why should we do what you want?" one brave soul asked. Instead of answering a fired my gun at his knee.

"I'm Red." I said this caused everyone to put a spring in their step and do what I asked.

"Jonathan to what do I owe the pleasure?" Carlos asked as he came down the stairs from his office. Jonathan didn't answer, instead he and the others began pummeling him before he could finish coming down the stairs.

While the boys handled Carlos, I addressed the stunned crowed,

"I wanted you all to see what happens when you steal from my family. Carlos was gracious enough to be an example so the lot of you could have a visual representation." I turned back to the huddle of men,

"Let him up." I said with venom in my voice, I switched my gun for the switch blade that I kept in my bra.

He had fear in his eyes as I looked down in him with disgust. If he had asked I would have taken care of anything he needed.

But no.

He stole for greed, not for need. (AN: hehe)

"You stole from not only me but more importantly my family. A family I thought you were a part of." I said running the blade of my knife down his face, I usually use guns, but guns are for business. Knives are personal.

"I want this to be a lesson to all of you. Tell your friends this is what happens when you fuck us over." I said before plunging the knife into his neck, barely missing the spray of blood that shot out through his neck.

"Whoever is next in command better not have the same problem as him." I watched as they all stood with opened mouths and wide eyes.

"I should shut this place down and kill you all, but I'm in a good mood today so, get back to work." I said before walking out of the building with Mag, John and the rest of the guys behind me.

While the boys were loading up the car, I managed to pull Magnus to the side,

"Hey Mag, are you feeling alright?" I asked rubbing my hand through his hair half playfully.

He grabbed my hand and placed it over his heart. He looked over worked and fed up with life.

"Just tired, you know."

"You should think about taking a break, I don't want you to over work yourself." I said placing my free hand over his.

"Who's going to do Intel?" he asked throwing his hip out to meet his wait hand. I smiled slightly,

"I could always-'

"Hell no." He said shaking his head like a mad man.

I'll admit it, I'm not the best with computers but I'm not that bad.

"I'm not that ba-' I started again; he held his hands up to stop me.

"Stop. Just stop." He said shaking his head, chuckling slightly. I smiled in return; glad to see some of the tension gone from his face. I hated to see him frown, it didn't fit his personality, and frowning caused premature wrinkles.

"You worry too much, I'll be fine Clary." He said moving his hands through my hair lovingly.

I watched him walk towards his car before turning towards my own, where my brother was waiting impatiently. He held a small slip of paper in his hands, he was flushed and his hands were shaky.

"What's wrong, John?" I asked, surprised by his reaction. Jonathan is one of the most level-headed people I have ever met. He held the slip out to me in response; his emotions were transferring to me as I unfolded the scrap.

I looked down at the note in with shaky hands,

Magnus should really blow off some steam.

My heart stopped in my chest. I screamed his name but he was already too far away to hear me.

I started to run.

But I was too late. His car door slammed and I was thrown across the parking lot.

Pain.

The ringing in my ears got stronger when rolled on my stomach to see the blaze.

"Magnus!" I screamed before blacking out.

^*^Princess^*^

I came to with a loud gasp,

"Magnus!" I screamed. I moved in trying to get off the bed but I was jerked back by the tubes in my arms.

"What the hell happened? Where is Magnus?" I asked now noticing how heavy my head felt.

"There was an accident-' Isabelle started '- Magnus still hasn't woken up yet. He's in critical condition."

"Isabelle. What happened?" I yelled,

"There was an explosion we were able to hack into the cameras around the neighborhood to find out who put it in place." She said I waited in an impatient silence for her to tell me.

"Your silence better not mean what I think it does." I said sliding up in the bed.

"Clary, you really need to rest. The explosion took a lot out of you and it's not safe to be-'

"Was it him?" I ask, interrupting her speech. She nods her head and sighs deeply.

I sat up in the bed and began picking at the tape that secured the IV's, pulling it out of my skin.

"Clarissa please do not do this. Let someone else take care of things. Clary what are you doing." Isabelle asked sounding alarmed. I didn't answer her; instead I slid the IV out of my arm and got off the bed.

Blood was running down my arm and dripping on the floor, but I didn't care.

"They send one of ours to the hospital; we send one of theirs to the morgue."

Jace

"Jace! Turn the news on, like now!" Alec said, running into my office turning the TV on before I had a chance to.

"Alec what the fuck is going on?!" I asked, alarmed that Alec has actually lost his cool demeanor. He turned up the volume instead of answering me.

We come in halfway through a news broadcast, "The explosion took out most of the block leaving several businesses in disarray. Only two victims were taken of the premises in stretchers, the extents to their injuries are still unknown. The young male and female still seem to be in critical condition. We will give you more on this travesty as soon as word comes in."

He mutes the TV, but still says nothing.

On the TV the camera guy's zooms in on the stretchers, the faces of the people are covered but the red I see, on the stretcher is unmistakable.

Oh.

Shit.

"Jace, that's the same place you delivered that package to." Alec said, clenching his jaw tightly.

"This was not what I was told would happen. See if you can figure out who these calls have come from." I tell Alec, just to get him out of the room.

"Jacey, I'm bored." Aline says whining, with her hands on her hips.

"Now is not-' before I could finish my statement, Aline's eyes grow wide and she drops to the ground.

Standing behind her is a distressed Clarissa with blood streaming down her arm. I look over the desk to see Aline with a knife lodged in her back.

"What-'

"Shut. The fuck. Up." she said, I've never seen so much venom and hate in one person's eyes.

"If he dies I will kill everyone you know, starting with Alec and ending with your mother. I will burn this city to the ground while you stand in the center of it all and watch." She said before walking out of the office, closing the door behind her.

Well fuck.

Coming soon…

"You." I said. It was a statement. Not a question or a shocked realization- just a statement.

"Yes. Me." he said with fire in his eyes.

"Well…" I cut myself off because of the hysterical laugh that was building up in my chest.

"Well what?" he said, he seemed thrown off by my reaction.

"Killing you is definitely not going to be something I enjoy." I said straightening out my cloths and pinning my hair into a bun.

I know its shit, but beggars can't be choosers. Tell me what you want to see in the future and I'll try to do that.

So who do you think is pulling the strings?

School starts tomorrow, I'm already done and I haven't even got there yet. On the upside it's a new school and I'm okay with that.
