Chapter 21

Haruhi's POV

I don't know where I am but I don't like it. It was dark and I couldn't see. I called out to anyone or anything that may hear me? Suddenly I heard a voice a voice I had heard just yesterday. I whipped around to find John who was smirking "join us dear Haruhi." "NEVER!" I yelled back. John shook his head "oooo big mistake." Suddenly he faded to black and I heard gun shots and cries from different places.

I whipped around to see the host club Honey trying to dodge bullets but at the last minute someone gets him right in the temple killing him instantly. Tamaki screamed Honey's name but when he runs to him he is shot Kyouya runs over trying to help him when he goes down as well but he didn't die right away. Shots go off near the twins. Kaoru shields his brother getting shot Hikaru screamed trying to save his brother while sobbing but he got shot as well. They stared at each other linking hands as they died. They were even smiling it was amazing there really wasn't one twin without the other.

Then I see my father I run to him roll him over to face me he looks at me his abdomen bleeding I gasped "daddy." His eyes tighten "Haruhi…. What have you done." He says as he dies. I hear a deep voice say "kami." I whipped around to see Takashi he stared at me horrified "what happened!" I couldn't say anything the tears were uncontrollable. Then someone came up right behind him sticking a sword through his heart. There stood John his hand covered in blood "and he was the kendo champion." He put his hand over his mouth and laughed leaving a bloody red hand print.

"You did this. IT'S YOUR FAULT YOUR ENTIRE FAULT." I clenched my hands only to see all their blood on my hands. It was my fault my choice killed them. I screamed "NOOOOO YOU CANT DO THIS STOP PLEASE." I ran up to John grabbing his jacket "YOU KILLED THEM YOU KILLED THEM." "No dear you killed them what are you going to do. Everything you lived for is dead." I let my hands slip from his collar as I fell to the ground in angst and defeat. I let the un-human sobs control me.

I gasped opening my eyes. I was back in the car they were all alive. A dream just a bad dream.

3rd person POV

Mori listened to the other speak occasionally throwing in a word himself. But he felt Haruhi stir. Her hand clenched around his tighter she seemed to be in distress. Her muscles began tightening and her jaw clenched. She was so peaceful when sleeping now she was tightening like a snake trapped in a corner about to strike.

Her sudden tenseness had caught everyone attention along with the fact her nails were digging into Mori's hand. Then sudden she gasped her eyes opening wide. Haruhi looked panicked her hand still digging into Mori's. Everyone was silent until she let out a deep breath she had been holding she realized she was clenching Mori's hand quite tightly. "Sorry…" Haruhi muttered while looking around.

They were worried, whatever that nightmare was it sure bothered her. Haruhi checked the time it was 5pm and she fall asleep at 12:30. She didn't get a good sleep last night either. The dreams. Mori pulled her hand a bit closer so him. She seemed distracted. She smiled at him shaking off her dream. She had everything figured out and they were all still here with her.

Kyouya stared her down for a minute "What was your bad dream about Haruhi?" Haruhi made her best thinking face acting as if she was trying to remember. Haruhi shook she head "I actually… do not remember." Kyouya's eyes tightened as if he didn't believe me before shrugging "well that is common." Kaoru was flipping through a broacher "did you apply to this school Haruhi?" he asked. She turned my attention to him "what school is that?" "Brown." "Ah no I didn't." "Why not they offer law?" "If I got in and didn't get a scholar ship I wouldn't want to burden Dad. He already has a lot of debt."

Mori started to play with Haruhi's fingers, he was more than willing to pay for her but he didn't want her to feel bound to him by debt. He wanted her to be around because she wanted to be around being around for any other reason wouldn't make their time together worth it. Haruhi didn't tell them that this year due to the gang thing she wasn't going to college and she had gotten a scholarship to brown. She has gotten multiply scholarships.

Trying to blow off the subject Haruhi picked up the book she brought. She was having a hard time putting this book down even it was a romance novel. The book was called Summer by the Sea by Susan Wiggs. Haruhi had read the book before but she loved it. She didn't realize how the host club was trying to talk to her until Mori's deep voice got close to her ear saying her name catching her attention.

His voice and the fact he was so close that she could feel his breath made her hairs stand up on the back of her neck. As well as goose bumps run all over her body. Mori seen it and he tried to hide his smile. He liked the way he affected her but his kendo training restrained him from doing anything which he was grateful for. The scary thing is they only got together as a couple and they already affected each other in such a way.

Kyouya also caught it making him smirk because Haruhi swore he was a sick bastard who took amusement in the pettiness in other people's lives. Then again she was right in some sense. He took amusement to some things not all things only some. Such as the ongoing lingering feels for Haruhi that everyone felt. But yet the strong silent one made her heart. But in all fairness Mori deserved her. Mori could live in her commoner life without hating it like he would or get too excited like the Twins and Tamaki.

Kyouya was impressed by the way Hikaru and Tamaki were able to stand her relationship. But then again they had all aged since then and even matured in some sense. If they truly loved her they would want her happy. Kyouya didn't even know why he bothered, sure he liked knowing what was going on but he already knew all this it was nothing new.

Tamaki stared at Haruhi's book "what is that about Haruhi?" Haruhi smiled "A woman named Rosa who grew up with this geek sick kid Alex and they spent summers together until 13 when Alex kissed her then he didn't come back tell 18. They had a relationship and then something huge happened in her life Alex left leaving her scarred and broken. Then it's now years later. Rosa runs a restaurant and Alex comes back trying to get her to fall for him again revealing a whole bunch of secrets and stuff. I love this book." Tamaki smiled softly "really now even though it's a romance novel." Haruhi smiled to herself "Yes… romance isn't always a bad thing I'm just not the type of girl to be swept off her feet that's all."

Mori looked down at his small girlfriend. She may have said she doesn't want to be swept off her feet but she did in a sense. Every girl did. But he wouldn't push it with her. She did dress as a male for the first year or so of high school. She may look different but she was still Haruhi in every sense.

Haruhi opened the cooler at her feet and handed everyone a sandwich and pop. Most of them were all for eating the sandwich then there was Kyouya. The way he looked at the sandwich you would have thought it was a raw fish in between 2 pieces of moldy bread. Haruhi shook her head "Kyouya eat the god damn sandwich." He lifted the top piece of bread up "where did you get the meat?" "A store where do you think I got it?" "Did you slice the meat?" "No the woman at the counter did…" "She touched the food?" "Damn it Kyouya she wore gloves!" "That she didn't change." Hikaru stared at the sandwich wary too "maybe he is right."

Haruhi grit her teeth "good thing you're leaving soon then huh!?" Damn it, she let her gang show. That shut Hikaru up but Kyouya of course wasn't pleased "I'm not eating." "Then you will wait for hot dogs later because there are only chips and apples and nothing else in here." Kyouya grimaced then took a bite of his sandwich. Haruhi chuckled then went back to her own sandwich.

Kaoru took a sip of his pop "Haruhi?" it had been itching at him a while now. "Why were you so upset about Kyle and Jake." Haruhi almost winced at the names. Haruhi frowned "you guys wouldn't understand." Hikaru looked offended "try us." Haruhi rolled her eyes "they were loyal to me… Loyal to a fault." Hikaru shrugged "and?" Haruhi glared at him "that's just it! You guys pay people and their loyal to you. Not them they didn't have to do that. Most people would sell me out but they didn't and it's hard to find people like that. And now it's my fault there hurt."

Besides Honey and Mori who already knew that to be true the rest of the host club thought about what she had said. They didn't understand how loyalty was that hard to find. Honey and Mori knew, they both knew their family's history and just how deep the loyalty and importance of it ran. Tamaki stared at Haruhi who was now eating an apple. She was using a knife to carve pieces of the apple out then eating it.

Mori smiled down at Haruhi "she's right. They didn't have to do that. Staring down a barrel of a gun or some ones foot usually makes you talk." Mori knew though Haruhi had gotten stronger it still bared a weight on her. Haruhi threw her apple out the window before picking her book back up. It must have been about 20 minutes when someone interrupted her reading.

"Haruhi…." Kyouya said low and kind of sounded worried. Haruhi looked up from her book "is something wrong Kyouya." You could see the vein slowly pop out of his head. "I'm going to say this veeeeery sloooowly." Haruhi raised one eye brow. Kyouya looked her right glaring at her "why isn't my phone getting reception?" Haruhi threw her head back in laughed "OH! I didn't tell you, your phones and things don't work out here." The horror on Kyouya's face made everyone burst out laughing.

Kyouya sighed "really?" Haruhi nodded "yes." Hikaru rolled his eyes "the means my IPod is going die." Kaoru "you're not going to die for a few days without your things." Hikaru glared at his brother stroking his face "I couldn't live without you for a few days." And they did their brotherly love thing everyone turned their attention back to what they were doing.

Suddenly the car finally stopped and the driver yelled "we're here!" The twins cheered as Tamaki stretched out of the car. Honey was looking around and Mori was inspecting the place they were staying for a few days. Kyouya groaned he wasn't use to the wilderness. Haruhi what does she do. She steps out the door and her knees collapse underneath her. Tamaki caught her smiling "what happened there princess." Haruhi rolled her eyes "sitting for too long."

Ranka glared at Tamaki "Are you trying to seduce my little girl Tamaki! SHE'S TAKING NOW YOU LITTLE RASCAL!" Haruhi rolled her eyes as Tamaki ran away in terror.
