My head wouldn't stop aching.
Twilight had to keep the library blinds closed, as I was very sensitive to the light.
I was basically a vampire, all I needed was some glitter.
I would occasionally drift to sleep, not really knowing if it's night or day.
Chris's dream...
"Hello again!" A voice said.
I raised an eyebrow. "This is getting a little repetitive, don't you think?"
"Well, a little. But you do know that I'm just doing this for giggles, right?"
The figure of Discord appeared from the unseen mist of Chris's dream.
"Are you kidding me?" I asked.
Discord let out a hearty laugh. "Of course! If you think that I can actually physically do something to hinder your progress with whatever nonexistent being I choose to summon, disaster I have created, or minion army I have bent the will of, then you sir, are wrong."
"Ah. I see." I muttered. "So, you were in my dreams for no reason?"
Discord sighed. "Yes."
My face lit up. "You're a good guy!"
"Where'd you get that from?" He questioned.
"Well, I just thought that if you weren't against me, then you're with me, right?"
"Hm." Discord muttered. "You have a point. However, Destiny calls! Specifically for you! I guess I have to help you anyway."
"Really!?" I asked. "How?"
Discord said nothing, only snapped his fingers, and I woke up.
The Library...
Lightning crackled outside, and light flashed through the windows, peering in from the space between curtains.
I woke up, my eyes slowly sliding open.
My head no longer hurt, and I had lost any feeling of dizziness in my head.
The clock read 1:34 PM.
A knock was heard at the door.
"Who could that be at this hour?" I asked myself.
The knocked sounded again, louder this time.
I approached the door and twisted the , standing in the rain, was a hooded figure.
"Can I help you?" I said tiredly.
I could see a dim yellow shine the pony's eyes from under his hood.
"Yes. Where is Twilight?" He spoke in a deep voice, with an accent similar to Zecora's.
I sighed. "Asleep, where else would she be?"
The moonlight created a shimmer on something on the pony's waist.
"Good, that will make this easier."
Before I could ask him what he meant, the pony pulled a blade from his waist and slammed the hilt into my beautiful, beautiful, face.
"Augh!" I moaned in pain, holding my bleeding nose with both hooves.
The hooded pony sped upstairs.
I pulled myself up as quickly as I could and ran after him.
A scream was heard from upstairs, and I guessed it was either Twilight or Spike.
I burst through the door in time to see the figure at the window with Twilight on his back.
"Twilight!" I shouted.
The pony revealed himself to be a zebra, in fact, yellow glowing eyes and all.
"We appreciate your sacrifice, Strange One." The zebra said, before jumping out of the window.
I ran to the window, looking outside.
The rain was still heavy, and the zebra was nowhere to be found.
'We?' I thought. 'What did he mean by that? And what's with the whole "Strange One" title?'
I needed to see Princess Celestia.
Canterlot, 3:42...
I ran through the empty streets of canterlot, heading for the castle.
"Stop right there!" I heard a deep voice command.
I stopped in my tracks and turned to the voice.
There was a royal guard with a rather annoyed looked on his face.
"What?" I said impatiently.
"What're you doing at this time?" He questioned.
I groaned, agitated. "I need to speak with the Princess! Her student has been kidnapped!"
"Why didn't you just say so? Open the gates!" He shouted to the gate guard, who proceeded to do as he was told.
I sprinted past the gate and into the castle.
"Princess!" I shouted when I got to the throne room.
There stood the princess, her mane and tail flowing without wind.
"What is it, Impact?" She asked, wary of the guards in the room.
"It's Twilight. She's been taken." I said urgently.
Princess Celestia's eyes bolted open. "What?"
"A zebra came and took Twilight!" I repeated.
Suddenly, Shining Armor entered the room. "A zebra? What did he look like?"
"Like a zebra, what do you think?!" I replied.
A guard to Celestia's left broke into the conversation.
"Is that racist?" He asked no one in particular.
"Gather your friends, Impact. Shining Armor, Gather a group of guardsmen." Celestia ordered.
"Yes ma'am." Shining Armor strode off.
"Wait, everybody?" I questioned.
Celestia raised an eyebrow. "Well, I suppose."
My face lit up. "I shall raise an army!"
Before The Princess could react, I ran off shouting, "Hi ho Silver, AWAY!"
The Griffon Kingdom, Eagleland
A Black and white Griffon walked down the streets of Eagleland, a determined look on his face.
He approached a step-in phone booth, but he didn't pick up the phone, instead began fiddling with it, his slim claws maneuvering into the phone.
"Come on, you bugger..." the griffon spoke in a british accent as he planted a tiny metal object to the inside of the wires.
A faint click was heard, and the griffon began reassembling the phone.
He stepped out of the booth and began his walk home.
Later that day, the same griffon held his own phone over his ear.
A second, female griffon with dark red fur entered the same phone booth.
"Hello big bird... we still ready for tonight?" The female griffon had the same accent as the black one, and was being listened to by him.
"Of course, baby. Still the booth you're calling me from, right?" A deep, male voice spoke.
"That's right, four 'O clock." The female said in a seductive tone.
The black griffon put his phone down, and grabbed a roll of duct tape.
It was 4:15 when the black griffon arrived at the same phone booth.
Every few seconds the booth would tip to the side or shake.
The black griffon rolled duct tape around the booth, taping it closed.
"What was that?" The male voice from the phone call said inside the booth.
Before the lady could respond, The black griffon kicked over the booth.
The illegitimate couple yelp as the booth hit the ground.
The black griffon rolled the booth to a hill, and stood it upwards.
"I have rights!" The male said.
Without listening, the black griffon kicked the booth down.
It tumbled down the slope, loud grunts accompanying each bounce.
The griffon brushed his hands together, and walked to his house.
Ponyville, 7:31 AM
Joshua and Jeffery sat at home, slightly hungover.
A knock came from their door.
"Your turn." Jeffery said.
Joshua stood up and answered the door, revealing Chris.
"Hey man." He said.
Jeffery waved from behind the Orange earth-pony "Guys, I need your help with something big." Chris said.
Equestria, Canterlot, 9:23 AM
A white unicorn with a test-tube cutie mark is carried down an over-lit hallway by to, buff muscular earth-ponies by his side.
"Sie können das nicht! Ich bin völlig gesund!" The white pony shouted.
"Beruhige dich Sir." the large pony to his left said.
The ponies reached the end of the hallway.
A pony let go of the unicorn to open the door, allowing the other one to throw him in.
"Nein!" The unicorn shouted.
Another strong-looking pony sat him down in a chair and cuffed his hands to the table.
Across from the unicorn was an earth-pony wearing a suit.
The suit-wearing pony tossed some files stamped with classified on them to the unicorn.
"So." The earth pony began. "Why?"
The unicorn though before responding, glaring into the eyes of his captor.
"Ich spreche Ihre Sprache nicht." He said.
The pony sighed. "The brass usually doesn't like my way of interrogation, but they've reluctantly given me the green light, if need be. So you might want to start talking. In Equestrian."
The white pony began. "What was so important that you had to interrupt my experiments?" He asked.
"Just that." The Equestrian answered. "What have you been cooking down there in your 'Secret Laboratory', let alone in our soil?" He asked, unaware of the faint searing sound.
There was a silence for a moment before the unicorn answered.
"Ammunition." He said briefly.
"Be more specific."
The unicorn became resistant. "There's no need."
The suit-toting pony slammed a hoof into the table. "Talk!" He shouted, the sound reverberating through the small interrogation room.
"Ammunition for the Zerstäuber." The unicorn replied calmly to the earth pony's shouts.
"What is the Zerstäuber?"
The unicorn refused to speak.
"Tell me!" The earth pony threw his hoof toward The unicorn.
A metal clang sounded as the hit connected.
"AAgh!" The earth-pony in the suit screamed in pain, holding is broken, bloodied hoof.
The white unicorn stood up and swung the now searing hot chains at the guard in the corner, burning his face and scarring down it.
The handcuffs had melted off of his wrists.
When the earth-pony recovered, The white unicorn was already coming down with his hands intertwined.
His fists connected with the pony's back, his scream accompanied by a cracking sound.
Ponyville, 12:45 PM
"Where's Derrick?" I asked, walking over to the library.
"He said he was gonna go see you." Jeffery said, accompanying me and Joshua, both their headaches gone.
"Hey! There you are!" Derrick said in the distance.
Suddenly, a scroll was summoned right in front of The unicorn, hitting him square in the face.
"Message for you sir!" He said.
I walked up to him and read the scroll as he held it up. (With magic of course.)
From, Princess Celestia
The delivery of the following message to this recipient 110800IMPACT%5POINT%5 has failed send the message again or contact an administrator for further assistance.
"What could she mean by that?" Derrick asked.
I chuckled. "I thought I was helping when I said she should use gmail more often."
Another letter appeared.
"This should be the one." Derrick said.
I read aloud again.
Dear Impact Point,
As I understand you are growing a team of well trained mares and stallions, I have some suggestions to make. Currently residing in Eagleland is a Griffon, known only as Xander. I suggest you make the trip to the griffon kingdom (To the northwest of Ponyville.) and see if you can't recruit him. He is... creative, in his business. Remind your Jackie friend that his is currently single. However, before Eagleland, come to Canterlot. We have a problem.
Your's truly, PC
P.S. Sorry about first letter. Remind me to send some angry letters later, will you?
"Canterlot?" Joshua repeated.
I double-checked the note one last time. "What it says here."
"I guess we should hurry." Derrick said, tossing the note. "She used initials and everything."
And on that note we hailed a carriage, and made our way to Canterlot.
A mile or two from Canterlot, 2:32 PM
Me and the guys had shared a lunch in the carriage, after... "persuading" the carriage driver to allow it.
Joshua poked the unconscious driver. "You don't think we killed him, did we?"
Derrick finished his apple. "Nah. I'm sure he's fine. People survive concussions all the time. Look at how far gone Chris was."
"How did you recover so fast, Chris?" Jeffery asked.
I thought for a moment. Best not to tell them, bad time to spur excitement, right? "Need I say?"
"Lemme guess..." Derrick began "...Magic?"
I winked. "Spot on, Kiddie."
The carriage violently shook, knocking over Derrick and me.
"What was that?" Jeffery said, flying up to avoid falling on his face.
Joshua had held himself to the floor of the carriage using his pure strength.
A rough-looking earth pony broke through the door of the carriage and held Derrick in front of him with a blade to his throat.
"Nobody move or paint you all red!" He shouted.
The carriage was silent.
"Behind you!" A carriage driver shouted to another.
"I see hi-AAggh!" Another driver's voice was cut off by a gurgling sound, follow by the sound of steel swiping through flesh and air.
Two more ponies broke through, along with a Zebra.
The two ponies stood with their weapons pointed towards Jeffery and Joshua's neck, leaving the Zebra with me.
The Zebra had the same glowy eyes and dark hood as the one that took Twilight.
"Aah! So this is the Strange One Anaki was speaking of. Yes... You have little flesh to cut through, vreemde Een. Though you last long..." The zebra said grimly.
I noted the name Anaki and began conjuring a master plan.
Suddenly, my worst enemy began to jack up my locomotive train of thought.
Gravity, I shall see you burn.
We all began to slowly slide to the front of the carriage.
"Vervloek!" The Zebra shouted. "Who is flying?"
There was a silence among the earth ponies.
"Julle dwase!" The Zebra shouted.
We all fell to the front of the carriage cabin.
"We're going a little too fast!" Joshua shouted.
"No kidding!" Jeffery replied, a crumpled mess on top of an earth pony.
The group was all on the ground, or in this case, the wall, allow for a few seconds of movement.
I threw myself as hard as I could at the earth pony in front of me.
A slicing pain seared past my leg, but at that point I was pretty committed to falling on this guy.
We both layed together for a few seconds before I opened my eyes to see my upper torso inches away from a sword, and his upper torso, well... Quite a bit closer.
I got up to see Derrick, ramming into another earth pony.
The Zebra had slammed me against the wall by the time I turned around to look for her.
I kicked at her, only for her to bounce up a split second before I got to her.
Darkness came next.
Author's Note: Hey guys! I'm so so sorry for that long, long, Hiatus. Honestly, It lasted a bit longer than a dead battery. I'm going to be completely straight with you, I have commitment issues. (Among other things.) For whatever reason, I just stopped writing. I just didn't want to. And I have no idea why. Because now that I'm writing again, I have a way to do something I've always loved doing. And that's bringing joy to people. Especially people I can relate to. (Bronies in particular!) So please, forgive me for the bout of what seemed like pure, utter laziness. Thanks for sticking with me though.
