Chapter 13; Fight Club

"Hey, you okay?" Onier asked, taking a seat next to his friend who had been staring at the flashdrive for the past several minutes. Ever since the scare with their old enemy, Oliver had been like this, staring forlornly at that dang piece of plastic. And Onier was starting to get concerned.

"Yeah. It's just a shock. Nightwrath is still alive, man." Oliver said. Onier saw a slight trace of fear in his friend's normally brave and caring eyes as they made eye contact. Most people wouldn't have caught it but the two were closer then best friends after being stuck with each other for so long and Onier had caught on to a lot of Oliver subtle nonverbal actions. Honestly, Onier was a little shaken up too, after all he had only seen Nightwrath once before and that was not a fun experience. "I mean, what if-what if he's still after me? He was dead, for crying out loud! And apparently he still trying to get me, and I don't want a repeat performance of last time."

Onier slapped his friend on the back. "We'll be there for you if he is. He's not taking you back there or anything. Besides, now we've got our new friends too, right? Now, c'mon, were supposed to be at training."

"Thanks." Oliver said, getting himself together a little. "Okay, let's go see if Amyna's ready. She should've been out here by now."

A minute or so later the stood outside of the girl's room. They knocked and waited. "Coming!"

"Hurry up, we're supposed to be there now!" Onier yelled, sounding more irritated than angry.

"I'll be right there." Amyna sounded slightly annoyed his time.

"'Heck hath no fury like a women scorned', Onier. We're late anyway, so we might as well wait." Oliver said.

When the door finally opened, both boys sighed in relief. Patience wasn't there strong suit and they had been getting rather antsy. Especially not Oliver. Amyna was wearing her normal outfit but she had put her hair in a pony tail. It was barely possible, due to her bob, and was pretty short and was wearing a touch of makeup.

"I thought I'd put my hair up for training today. So it's not flopping all over the place." She explained as they walked towards the training center. Well, where they'd be training anyway. The temporary training room doubled as the command center. The normal training room had malfunctioned during the blackout and was mostly destroyed. The command room looked surprisingly different with light. The training equipment and lack of the computers also added to the effect.

Devices ranging from harmless looking cylinders to pointy swords decorated the room. Six was currently fighting with Rex, who used his builds to fight back. The arriving trio hoped to enter without being noticed.

"You're late." Six said, without even turning, shattering those hopes.

"Sorry, we're not, at least I'm not, used to a set schedule." Oliver responded guiltily. "I accidentally slept in-ah!"

"Heads up!" A flying chunk of rock flew at the arriving trio. Onier reacted first and pulled his Bo staff his back and intercepted it, skillfully deflecting it with a swing. It shattered harmlessly on a nearby wall.

"Seriously Rex? Pre-emptive strike?" Oliver asked. Rex opened his mouth to reticule them but was cut off.

"Free for all!" Amyna yelled as Rex changed from his slam canon to his bad axes. Rex, Onier and Oliver grinned. Oliver launched an array of fireballs at Rex. Rex dodged them easily and instead struck Six.

Oliver noticed that Amyna and Onier had taken advantage of his preoccupation and teamed up against him. Oliver quickly launched a gust of wind at them and formed a dome of earth around himself to try and get some breathing room. It was quickly shattered by Rex who whacked it with his smack hands, tearing a giant hole in his domed defense. Oliver launched a jet of flame but Rex blocked it and punched Oliver across the room. Oliver dully noted that Amyna and Onier's alliance had already crumbled and they were both trying to get each other out.

"Rex-uno. Oliver-zero!" The Hispanic announced into a fake microphone. "Rex is simply dominating today!"

Oliver skidded to a stop and recovered, kicking the ground. The kick, or rather the teen's nanite granted talents, sent a pillar of stone back at Rex. The pillar missed but hit Amyna, who was standing behind him with a shield trying to hold off Onier. The two off them were sent rolling in opposite directions and both losing grips on their weapons.

"C'mon, that the best you got, Hermano?" Rex taunted as he blocked the pillar with his Smack Hands, avoiding all harm. Growing frustrated, Oliver started chucking little balls of flaming danger at the hispanic teen. They barely had any stopping power but Oliver could dish them out an extremely quick rate. Rex took the first one as it singed his jacket but threw up his Block Party before any more made contact.

Unfortunately, the constant offensive move had lowered Oliver's defenses to literally nothing and he was open for attack. Which, Agent Six took advantage of and attacked the white haired teen to the floor with some sort of rapid nerve attack, hitting several nerve clusters with insane speed. Oliver collapsed and fell to the floor, unable to move. Realizing he was effectively 'out', first too, he groaned contented himself to watch the rest of the match play out.

Oliver smiled. Rex wasn't being a sore winner as much as he thought he would be. Sure, Rex was gloating but he wasn't rubbing it in Oliver's face...'Well, not excessively.' The white hair teen mused silently to himself.

"So, what do I get for winning the bet?'' Rex gloated happily to Oliver.

"You get a rematch." Oliver stated. "And maybe I won't go easy on you this time around."

"You wish you had gone easy on me. I beat you fair and square, hermano." Rex said.

"Fine, fine." Oliver conceded. "But I still want a re-match."

"So to can lose again?" Onier asked. Oliver shot his close friend a death glare but he just rolled his eyes. "I was the second to last one out!"

Amyna chuckled and joined in on Oliver's ribbing. "Even I lasted longer than you!"

"Oh, suuuuure. Everybody team up on me." Oliver grumbled, burrowing his head in his arms in mock sadness. "Six was the one that won, so I don't see what you guys are bragging about."

"But it took Amyna AND Onier to get me out. It only took one Six to get you out." Rex pointed out. "And I lasted longer than you. Which was the bet. So, cough up something to the winner."

"Fine." Oliver said, searching for something to throw at the hispanic teen. Finding nothing he just shrugged off his jacket, bundled it up and threw that. "Take this!" He said jokingly.

Rex caught it off the bounce easily and threw it back. "Nope. Hitting me in the face doesn't count. This just means that you have to beat me next time in training. Which won't happen. Hey, what's that on you arm?"

Oliver instantly knew what Rex had seen and tried to hide the symbol under his T-shirt, unsuccessfully trying to cover it up with his sleeve. Unfortunately the damage was already done, Rex had seen it. Not that he would know what 'it' was. One careless move and

White Knight appeared suddenly, with ninja skills Six would have been proud of, and pointed to the thin but perfectly engraved black O imprinted on Oliver's bicep. A reminder of his past that he couldn't get away form. One that, much like Nightwrath, was coming around again. "I can explain. It's nothing bad, just let me talk-"

"Good. Then start talking." Knight ordered.

Author's Note; Hey guys! Sorry for the huge delay in updating, I haven't been able to get a hold of my beta and I couldn't quite get this chapter right. And apperently, that link to the picture of Oliver didn't work, so it is now the story cover art...hopefully it works now. :P Anyway, thanks for reading, hopefully the next update won't take as long...because the next two chapters have backstory!
