"Hello Chase, or should I call you son?" Douglas asks.

I shut the door behind us and lean on it as I watch these two interact.

Chase calmly walks over to Douglas and punches him in the face, causing Douglas stager back clutching his nose. A chuckle escapes my lips before I could stop it. Douglas shoots me a glare before turning back to Chase.

Chase grabs Douglas by the collar of his shirt and lifts him off the ground, "You will never be my father." He then throws him across the room. Douglas lands with a thud, blood flowing freely from his nose.

"Restrain him." Douglas orders.

Chase stands straight as I put his hands behind his back, and then sit him down. I don't have anything to restrain him with, so I just hold him in place.

Douglas walks toward us with a limp, "He's not ready." Douglas talks like Chase isn't in the room.

"He will be." I reply.

Douglas just limps out the room. I release Chase and say, "Please don't do that, you're doing more harm then good."

Chase doesn't get up he just stares at the blood on his right hand.

I move to leave but Chase says, "I'm ready to betray my siblings."

I sigh and then leave.

Line break

I find Douglas in the medical ward; he's cleaning the blood of his shirt. I ignore Maya glaring at him and inform, "Chase is ready, he just needed to get that out of his system."

Douglas glares at me, before warning, "He better be." Douglas throws his trash away and walks out the door with out giving the residing patients a glance.

I follow him out the door, and we walk to Chases room.

This time I enter it alone. When Chase sees me he sighs and walks up to me. He nods his head and we leave the room.

Douglas just glares at Chase before leading us away.

I watch Chase as he analyzes everything and glares at Douglas.

We stop when Douglas uses his thumbprint to open a door.

"Don't mess this up." Douglas warns Chase before shoving him through the door and locking it.

Douglas then grabs my forearm and guides me to a room with a window so we can observe Chases interaction with whosever room this is.

I look down and see Chase trapped in a bear hug by Adam. It brings a smile to my face, but I quickly suppress it before Douglas notices.

Then I hear a click and Douglas mumbling to himself, something about the stupid microphone.

Then Chases voice filters through the speakers, "Adam you are crushing my ribs, do you mind letting go?"

Adam chuckles before letting go of Chase. Chase smiles at his older brother as he takes a deep breath.

"The last thing I remember is driving home from the mall, then I woke up here. What's going on Chase?" Adam asks. He reminds me of a scared child.

"There was a car accident." Chase says.

Then turns into a protective big brother, "Are you ok? Where you hurt?" Adam demands as he eyes Chase.

Chase rolls hiss eyes at his brothers concern but smiles at him, "Yeah I'm fine, bionics remember?"

Adam snorts before becoming confused, "Why are we here?"

Chase stiffens but he quickly composes himself before saying, "Donald lied to us."

Adam gasps but lets Chase finish the story I told him. He embellishes about Douglas loving them and wanting them to be a family again, but it doesn't matter since Adams agreeing to join us.

Douglas pats me on the back with a smirk. "Good. Now on to Bree."

He walks out and leaves me to separate the two brothers.

When I walk in a childish grin spreads across Adams face when he sees me. Then I'm engulfed in a bear hug like Chase was previously.

"Okay Adam, I can't breathe." I say as I try to get precious oxygen in my lungs.

"Chase lets go." I say and begin to walk away with Chase on my heels.

"Bye Chase and Marcus!" Adam says with a wave.

It sends a pang of guilt through my chest to know that Adam can trust so blindly. But I send him a forced smile as we walk out of the room.

Once the door closes Chase leans against the wall. "I just betrayed my brother." He whispers so quietly that I barely heard it with my super hearing.

I want to reassure him, but I don't know what to say. "Hurry up." I quip, trying to sound impatient.

It works when Chase pulls himself together and follows me obediently like a wounded animal.

We find Douglas waiting for us five doors down from Adams room. His arms are crossed and he's tapping his foot impatiently.

I roll my eyes before putting on a mask of indifference. "We're ready, sir." I almost spit sir out but Douglas doesn't seem to notice he just pushes Chase through the door and walks toward the observation room.

I start to follow but he stops me, "Guard the door." He commands before walking away.

I give him a terse nod before standing by the door.

Line Break

I don't know how long I stand outside the door; time ceases to exist in this prison. But eventually I hear the clicking of shoes and the Douglas comes into view.

He wore a smirk that said it all. Bree will be joining him. I'm glad she listened because it will make escape easier, but I'm sad she listened because it shows hoe naive she is.

"For once you didn't disappoint, Chases succeeded. For a reward I'll give you some of your bionics back." He claps his hand on my back before walking away.

Line Break

They don't seem to notice me as I stand in the doorway observing. Bree is coddling her brother, and asking about Adam. While Chase pretends he hates her coddling and repeatedly tells her that Adams fine. As I watch I feel like I'm intruding of a private sibling moment, gestures to each other that only they understand, endearing worrying, and a unbreakable bond that only those with siblings will ever understand.

But its soon broken when Brees brown eyes land on me, she tense and her eyes narrow slightly. Suspicion is pouring off of her in waves.

A moment later Chase turns and nods, then he hugs his sister goodbye.

Line Break

"Your bionics are back."

I haven't written in a while so I hope this is up to par. I know it's a little boring, but some things needed to be explained.
