Chapter 10

Bonni's pov

carefully i tilted my test tube downwards onto the seed. The smallest blue drop dripped down onto the seed and i took a step back warily looking down at the seed. Suddenly the seed began to shake and rattle. I held my breath as i watched the seed grow into a small greenish blob before forming into a very small yellow marshmallow bird. He blinked a few times before opening his wide brown eye's and tweeted a low song. I smiled successfully and lent down my hand to the bird. He jumped onto my finger and i brought him up to my face to get a better look at my creation. I opened his beak to look inside before gently opening his eye's to make sure each one was healthy. The bird let me examine him before nuzzling my nose. I chuckled petting his head. "Hey" i smiled as the bird sang a soft song again walked over to my window and held out my hand out. I watched as the bird looked outside in amazement before looking back at me. I nodded and he jumped up flew out of my hands and away into the world. Knock knock knock* i spun on my heel "Come in" i called as i walked back to my bench to clean up. "Ah your up early, i thought you might be still sleeping" i stared down at my bench refusing to look at kai. "Yes well i thought i could get an early start on the day" i responded casually as i brought some paper work together and placed in a drawer before shutting it.

Kai walked over towards me and gently massaged my shoulders. "Is everything alright? You seem a little tense? Did i do something wrong?" His voice filled with worry and hurt. I sighed and placed a hand over his. I turned around slightly to look up at him. "No no. I'm sorry i just had a rough night" i confessed. Kai lifted my chin up to meet his gaze. "Did you not sleep well?" i shook my head and removed his hands as i looked down at my bench to pick up a few test tubes and flasks as i carried them over to the sink. "you could say that" i muttered to my self. "What was that love?" i cringed and spoke up "i said yeah i didn't sleep well." i didn't have to turn around to know that Kai was frowning. "Is there anything i can do to help?" I shook my head. 'you could brake of the engagement' i sighed "It's okay. I'll be fine. I'll just go to bed early tonight" i finally turned around and gave Kai a gentle smile. "alright. Sounds good, I'll bring you some tea later tonight to help with your sleeping issues." i smiled appreciatively. "Thanks" i gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before walking out of the room.

Once out of my lab Kai quickly caught up with me. "So my dear princess what are we doing today?" "Well i was hoping to go out for a walk around my kingdom to check on my citizens to make sure everything is okay. Or if anything needs to fix" Kai nodded "that sounds lovely, i'll back a picnic lunch so we can stop and eat" picnic... Memories of the picnic Marceline threw for me flooded my head. The music the lights.. the heat kiss.. i shook my head and flushed brightly. "Bonnibel? Are you okay? You looked a bit flushed" Kai's voice startled me. I swallowed hard and nodded. "Yes I'm alright! Sorry that would be just lovely" Kai smiled brightly "I'll meet you in front of the castle in an hour."He brought me into a kiss and once again i shivered against his lips. Suddenly i began to compare his kiss to Marcelines. His lips were cold and wet, while her's were cool but warm and soft. His kiss made me feel slightly disgusted and made me have mixed feelings, while marceline's felt safe and like home. The kiss soon ended and I watched as Kai bounded off to the kitchen. I frowned softly knowing that it was wrong to think about Marceline when i was kissing Kai. My fiancee.. "glob it" i sighed before making my way back to my bedroom to shower and change into something for casual. Casual i mean my typical pink dress.

Once dressed and freshened up, i head down to the entrance of the castle. There was Kai standing with a basket in his hands. I let out a deep breath before making my way over to him. "well good afternoon princess. You look beautiful as ever" "Thank you Kai, that's really sweet but I'm just wearing the usual" Kai shook his head "Yes but it doesn't matter what you wear, because you make it 100 percent more beautiful." i blushed slightly. "Now shall we?" He held out his arm and looped my arm around his and began to walk through the kingdom. Stopping every so often to talk to a few villagers and merchants. After a good few hour's of walking we decided to settle down by a sugar cane tree and have lunch. Kai handed me a sandwich and nodded thankfully. Taking a bite of my sandwich and swallowing as i looked around the large open grassy fields. Kai poured us some whine and i nursed my glass while gently sipping on the strawberry whine. Just then i noticed Finn and Jake talking from a good 100 feet away. Just then A familiar purple umbrella came into view. I felt my breath catch as i noticed Marceline turn to face me and Kai. I watched Marceline turn to Finn and Jake and point towards our direction. The boy's waved and began to run towards us. Marceline floated behind them. "Looks like we have Company" Kai broke the silence as his voice filled the air around us. I couldn't help but smile brightly as the vampire queen floated closer towards us.

"Hey Pebbles!" "Sup PBUB" Finn and Jake greeted happily. "Hey boy's. What are you guy's up to" Marceline hovered beside the Finn giving me a soft smile, which made my heart skip a beat. I hadn't even noticed that Finn and Jake had been talking since i was staring up at Marceline so long. I managed to catch a few of there words here and there "There was this giant" "oh and then Jake hit him with his " blah blah blah." suddenly hearing Marceline's voice brought me back to reality. "So you must be Prince Kai right?" Kai gave a stiff smile "That's correct. I'm Bonnibel's Fiancee" I watched as Marceline shifted uncomfortably from foot to foot, as Kai continued to speak " And you must be Marceline the vampire Queen. I've heard so much about you" Marceline eye's some what brightened as she raised a brow. "Really? Because i have heard next to nothing about you" Marceline smirked slightly. Kai's posture tensed but he kept a smile on his face. "I would have thought Bonnibel would have told you about me" Finn and Jake looked at each other with uneasy before leaving silently. They waved me a good bye and i waved back also feeling uneasy with the encounter.

"It must have slipped the princess's mind. You know she is a busy women with all his science stuff and being ruling a kingdom ya know" Marceline brushed Kai off as if he was nothing but some dirt. "Right well That's why she has been spending all her time with you instead of ruling." Marceline raised a brow while i felt my face pale. Did kai really just say that? My stomach knotted and twisted. This wasn't at all how i wanted there first interaction to be. "Well can you blame her? I am so much more delightful to hang around instead of those pesky servants and those diabetes she calls citizens" I gave out an un lady like snort, as i tried to cover my mouth and nose with my hands. Marceline smiled winking at me and i nearly lost my shit right then and there. Kai glared at me. "Right, well that's her citizens your making fun of." Marceline shrugged with out a care in the world. "Eh Bonnie know's i'm kidding any-ways. Right Bon Bon" Marceline nudged me with her elbow and i smiled up at her. Shoving her back. Marceline spit out her tongue making a face and i giggled. "Right Marcy" i joked. "Well it was very nice to meet you Marceline but Bonnibel and I have to head back to the kingdom now." I stopped laughing as i looked up to meet Kai's stern green eye's that practically burned a whole in Marceline's head.

Marceline hardly noticed or if she had she obviously didn't care. "ah alright, well same to you Kai." Marceline stood up on her feet and lent out a hand towards me .I gratefully took it as she helped me up. My skin warmed at her touch and I blushed. "Thanks Marcy" Marceline gave me a toothy smile. "Ya you welcome PB" Kai began to pack up the blanket, glasses,wine and food. All the while i continued to gaze into Marceline's crimson pool eyes. I could get lost in them forever if i could. Sadly i felt Kai's hand on my shoulder jolt me from our eye staring contest. I sighed "I'll see you later Marceline. It was really nice to see you again" Marceline nodded "I'll see you later Bonnie. Have fun with paper work and stuff" i chuckled "Will do" Kai then lead me away from the vampire Queen as he wrapped his arm around my waist a little to roughly as we walked back to the candy kingdom in silence.

Hey guys! I bet you didn't expect another chapter so early right? Well i got to thinking last night after i posted chapter 9 and i felt terrible. So i decided to force my self to sit down and right a chapter for you guys. I read a few reviews from you guys, and I would like to apologize for not having a proper up. :'( I know you didn't learn much and i'm sincerely sorry. Its just really hard ya know to get back into a story when you haven't written it in a few months. But other then that i hope this chapter fixes up everything. Now that Marceline and Kai have met shit will start getting real. So i hope you enjoyed the chapter. I apologize for the the grammar and spelling errors and everything.
