"Wait what!?" exclaimed Tavin.

Dewey stepped towards the confused and quite more shocked sparrow-man. "Yes my boy you are the son of Tinkerbell and Terence. I'm sorry you never knew but that's no reason for you to stand there like a lost confused child.

"But I am lost and apparently I'm someone's child." Tavin replied a small smirk spreading across his lips.

"Ok enough games, you child need to get back before the queen starts to look for you. You don't want her knowing you've been over here without her permission epically since they are trying to figure out why you girls are like you are. Go on, go don't worry I won't speak a word to Lord Milori." Caroline nodded and ran out the door grabbing Tavin's arm in the process and dragging him along.

"Come on we need to get back. I need to get back to the Autumn Woods before Queen Clarion comes looking for me."

"You mean your mom?" Tavin asked, having come back to reality.

"No, Queen Clarion, she can't know I know, and what if she doesn't even know?" Caroline stopped on the other side of the border and continued to ramble.

"Hold on there Caroline. Calm down. Even if she doesn't know you know and that's all that matters. Now we are back in the Autumn Woods, you're ok. No one knows."

"No one knows what?" Shimmer walked out from behind a leaf. "What are you hiding Caroline?"

"Nothing now if you'll excuse me." Caroline walked by Shimmer and ran off in the direction of the shore.

"Tavin she's gone you can tell me what you two are hiding now right?" She walked around Tavin, her hand lightly touching his shoulder.

"There's nothing to tell and even if there was why would I tell you?" With that he flew off in search of Caroline.

"Stay away from her Tavin she's no good for you, I on the other hand…."her voice trailed off and Tavin gave a small sigh of relief. What was that last part all about? Stay away from her? She's no good for him? Shimmer is? I found Caroline sitting in the sand her coat in a pile beside her. He landed, softly, behind her and sat down.

"What's wrong Carrie?" I winced at the nickname I had always wondered if I should call her.

"Carrie? I like it and nothing just…why would Shimmer spy on us. I mean I've always thought something was up with her but I don't know what it could have been."

I sighed, she was ok with Carrie, "I may know why…"

"Really? What?"

"I think she thinks me and you are…you know…a thing." Oh no please don't let her ask if we could be or if I'd want that.

"A thing are you serious… But we're just best friends right?" Caroline secretly wished he'd say no but she knew better of course he wouldn't like her like she liked him.

"Uh…yea..right." Tavin sighed and stared out at the ocean. "Just best friends."
