I may make another one if this one is accepted well with the character's lives afterwards. Any way here we go!
"Caroline? Are you awake? Caroline?" Queen Clarion stood in the doorway of Caroline's room her long golden dress floating above the floor. Caroline rolled over in her be the bird feathers tickling her nose. Ah-choo, she sneezed and looked at the doorway.
"Hmm?" She jumped up out of bed when she saw the queen standing there. "It's the day of the Revelry!" Queen Clarion nodded and turned to walk away.
"Get dressed quickly Caroline we have a long journey to the Winter Woods." With that she was gone.
"Trust me I know how long of a trek it is" she mumbled. She ran over to her wardrobe and flung the doors open. She pushed all of her everyday clothes aside and stared at the dress in the back of the closest hanging on a rack by itself. Bobbin had made her a beautiful light blue dress of rose petals that swept the floor. Caroline slipped the dress on and stared in the mirror. There was to be a dance after the scepter was presented and she couldn't wait, I mean she was going with Tavin! She smiled and took her hair down out of the bun she had slept in. It fell in long light brown waves down to her hips. She walked out of her room and down into the big meeting hall where Queen Clarion was waiting for her. Clarion took Caroline's hand and took her aside. She produced a golden crown like that of her own only smaller and placed it on Caroline's head. "What's this?"
Clarion smiled. "Why dear you do have all the warm talents and so when my time as queen is up you shall become the next. As for now you are a princess of the Autumn Woods." Caroline smiled. Princess? Did Queen Clarion know about her being her daughter? "Oh there is one more thing," she sighed, "I need to take you to see Dewey after the Revelry, don't let me forget. Now come on let's go." She glided out of the tree pixie dust trailing after her. Caroline sighed a happy shine to her eyes and followed the queen down to Havendish Square.
"Hey Car-" Tavin stopped looking at Caroline his face showing shock.
"What's wrong?" Caroline asked. "Is something on me?" she looked herself over brushing her arms across her shoulders and back. Tavin grabbed her arms.
"No, no, nothing's wrong. It's just- you look…..beautiful" Caroline smiled a mischievous smile.
"I wasn't already beautiful?" he raised an eyebrow.
"W-what? No you were but"
"Relax I'm teasing." She giggled and grabbed his arm. "Come on I better not keep Queen Clarion waiting." Tavin smiled and picked Caroline up and flew to where Clarion was flying towards the border. She turned around smiling.
"Looks like you found a way to fly without wings. Thanks Tavin I forgot it's hard to keep up walking when someone is flying and you're trying to follow." Tavin nodded and continued to fly Caroline's arms wrapped around his neck.
Winter Woods
Milly twirled in front of her mirror. Her floor length light blue frosted petal dress sweeping the ice. Tonight would be amazing. First the Revelry and then the dance. She touched the straps of her dress, yet to be frosted, and frost spread out along the soft rose petals. She walked out of her house to be greeted by Caspian.
"Ready?" He asked and she nodded her head. Just then Lord Milori's snow owl landed behind them. He dismounted and walked over to Milly. He produced a golden crown(As mentioned above) and placed it on Milly's head.
"You must wear this tonight. I'll explain later but for now I must go." With that he took off on his owl and faded into the snow.
"What was that about?" Caspian scratched his head. Milly shrugged her shoulders to say I don't know. Caspian smiled and picked Milly up and flew off. (Does this seem familiar?) He flew off in the direction the Revelry was to be held, Milly's arms wrapped around her neck.
A/N okay next chapter we will find out why Caroline about fainted when Tavin poured dust on her, and no it's not because of her winglessness. What did you think? R&R Please.
