Chapter 9
*Lily's POV*
"That's my girl," dad said ruffling my hair after I told them I pissed off a wolf.
"Emmett, that is not something to be proud of," mom said crossing her arms over her chest.
"Lils is right though, she may smell like us, but she's a human; so they had no right treating her like that," dad argued back.
I yawned, it's currently midnight and as soon as I got in the car with dad and Alec I explained everything. So I'm exhausted right now, I just want to go to bed and I've been listening to this argument for what seems like forever.
"Go to bed Lily-Belle," Eddie smiled at me.
I nodded and got up dragging my feet all the way to my room. I didn't even bother changing out of my sweats; I just flopped on my bed and was out like a light.
I woke up on my own; it was Saturday so I didn't have anything to do luckily.
"It is about time, I was starting to worry about you Belle," Alec said beside of me making me chuckle.
"You don't have to be here the entire time I sleep, go hang out with my family," I replied.
"I enjoy watching you sleep, you are the likeness of peace and serenity."
"And I'm not always," I laughed kissing his cheek. "Kidding, but I don't want you wasting time, when there are much more productive thing to do."
"I am never wasting my time when I am around you Belle."
I could feel my cheeks burning. I mean I should be used to this right, I hear Jazz and daddy say it all the time. This is different big time since I usually don't have boyfriends, well friends in general; then I'm jumping into romance. I feel like it should go slower, but there's just no way because these feelings I have for him it's all new and weird.
"So is there a verdict?" I asked getting up walking to my closet.
"Well, I believe the outcome of the civil dispute downstairs ruled in the favor of the blame mostly being on the flea bitten mutt and small blame being on you, since you could have walked away," he explained making me frown.
"I fell like no matter what I say nothing's going to change," I said pulling out an outfit going to my bathroom.
"And mio angelo you would be correct," Alec said making me chuckle.
The months have gone by in a flash and the months till my death keep coming closer. It seems like no time at all, I was starting my senior year and now its mid-March. My team won the state championship for basketball and I was the MVP which is a huge honor, I couldn't believe I won. Now I'm slowly getting into softball, I just want to keep playing basketball.
"Lily-Belle come on, we're going to be late," mom yelled.
"I'm coming," I yelled back shutting the water off. Note to self: stop thinking about everything in the shower.
"Edward said you know that never works," mom said making me pout, before I thought of a shirtless Alec. "Now he said you're a bitch."
I laughed drying off putting on my dark jeans. I pulled on the neon pink cami with a black long sleeved see-through shirt. Mom came in and did my hair straight today. I walked out with mom and put on my black and neon pink shoes. Even though I'm not very dressy Alice loves making sure I match. I walked down the steps greeted with my coffee cup.
"We're about to be late baby girl," daddy said grabbing my back pack.
I took my coffee cup from Eddie taking a sip, Chai tea.
"Thanks grandma!" I yelled following daddy to his Jeep, since we're late I'm not allowed to drive.
I sat in the back with Alec as mom got in the passenger's seat. Alec wrapped his arm around me as I snuggled into his side. Wasn't long and we were pulling into a parking spot. Alec took my backpack as I followed them into the building. Daddy told me to go on to class he'd grab my books as I nodded. I walked into the gym as daddy ran in behind me handing me my books I needed for next class. I ran into the locker room and changed out quickly. The girls were playing volleyball and the boys were playing basketball. Luckily coach let me be an official for basketball, since I'm playing softball I still can't play in PE. Yes, my PE teacher is my volleyball, and softball coach, I can't do anything.
Walking to second block I kept hearing talk about a new girl and breathed a sigh of relief, maybe now they'll leave Alec alone. Feel sorry for the soul, but not that sorry. I was relieved when lunch came. I was starving since I had no breakfast; I waited for everyone Alec chuckling at me.
"They need to hurry up," I groaned.
"You're just hungry, I promise you will live. Alice even said there may be a baseball game this evening," Alec said making me smile.
"I love you," I said before I realized what I said. "Ohh my god, I mean ughh, ohh fuck my life."
"Language little lady," Jazz said smiling as the others apparently gathered some time ago.
"I hate my life," I groaned as daddy ruffled my hair walking in.
Me and Alec walked in right behind them. The others went to the table as Alec went up to the line with me. He got everything I did knowing I was hungry and followed me to the table.
"I love you Belle," he whispered in my ear, before we got to the table making me stop for a second before I sat down.
Mom, dad and everyone were smiling at me, minus Eddie something seems off. What the fuck, he was fine like 10 minutes ago. I smiled kissing Alec, before turning my attention back to my uncle.
"Eddie are you ok?" I asked.
"I'm fine Lily," he half groaned making everyone look at him. "I'm going to the car, I'll be back."
And with that he was gone making turn my head in confusion.
"He'll be fine, trust me Lils," daddy said as I nodded.
I turned and seeing the new girl at the table behind us. What's the big deal, she's a normal pale normal looking girl I thought rolling my eyes. I devoured mine and Alec's trays; then said that's why you don't let me go hungry; daddy called me a drama queen. The bell rang and I dragged myself to class with daddy and Alec. I somehow gathered enough energy to get through class; seriously I don't know how I make it through these boring classes. I was so happy coming out of the school and B-lining to the Jeep. Practice got cancelled, because it started raining.
"Hey Lily-Belle," I heard the nerd, I think Eric yell.
"Hi Eric," I turned smiling.
"I was wondering if you would be interested in singing a few songs at prom, since you won the talent show last year; I know there have been people dying to here you sing," he said. Damn why do I have to be so involved and I don't like people.
"Sure sounds fun," I smiled. Why the fuck did I just do that?
"Come on Lils," I heard daddy saying walking behind me unlocking the Jeep.
"Bye Eric," I said climbing in.
"Why do I have to be so involved I hate people," I groaned daddy didn't laugh or anything.
"Daddy is everything ok?" I asked.
"I'll explain everything when we get home Lils. Come on where are those two," he groaned, and then I saw mom and Alec human running to the car and getting in.
Daddy pulled out in front of a beat up truck, which I saw the new girl, before speeding home.
"Am I going to die?" I asked as we pulled in.
"No Lils, Edward's gone."
