Previously… Marceline threw some tude at Ember, and then almost killed Fionna's uncle Simon. What's going to happen with "princess" Ember? And why is Simon walking around by himself?
*************************************************************************************

"What are you doing Uncle Simon?"
"Uncle.. Fionna? FIonna! It's you! I knew you'd stay alive! And I see you've made a friend!" My uncle stands up and hugs me. He strokes my hair softly and slowly, whispering to himself. I pull away, and look at him. He's wearing a black button down shirt, and a dark gray jacket with matching pants. He's got a huge backpack on, and a sleeping bag strapped on the bottom. I laugh when I look down at his feet, he's wearing loafers. We let go of each other, and Marceline, Uncle Simon and I walk to the cave. We walk straight past Finn and Ember, who are still sitting on the couch. Jake runs up to us, and sniffs my uncle.
"Who's this? Is he up for being moving territory?" I giggle lightly at the dog.
"No Jake, you can't mark him. This is my Uncle Simon."
"Oh, okay!"

We walk down the hallway to Bubblegum's lab. I knock lightly and wait to hear her reply. A couple things rattle as she sets them down, and I imagine she's wiping off her hands, or taking off gloves or something.
"Who is it?" Her soft voice calls from under the door.
"Bonibell, it's me and Fionna, and we have a surprise for you. Now open the door." Bubblegum's feet clip against the tile. The door swings open. A gasp is heard as a blur flies past me. Bubblegum's body heaves as my Uncle holds the girl, whispering comfort in her ear. When she finally pulls away, she wipes her eyes.
"I'm happy to see that you're still you Simon." She sniffs and smiles lightly. He smiles ear to ear down at her.
"I'm happy I'm still me too." We all giggle at that, when, our happy little bubble, is popped.
"Who the hell is that?" An arrogant tone voices from behind us. We turn to see Ember, hands planted on her hips, feet shoulder length apart. Finn peeks around the corner.
"It's none of your business who this is." I snap.
"Now, Fionna," Uncle Simon starts, "let's not be rude. She's just curious." I sigh in irritation.

"This," I grit out from clenched teeth, "is my uncle, Simon. When Marceline and I went out today, we found him."
"Correction, I found you."
"Well, whoever he is, he can't stay here. There's no. More. Room." Marceline steps forward now, her eyes flaming.
"Did you build this place? No. that's right. Bonibell and I did. So don't even try to say who can and can't stay here. You might just find that your time here is up."

Ember glares at Marceline, who stands with her arms crossed, a smirk plastered across her face. Ember sighs, and turns around, because she knows she's lost. As she twitches into the living room, she looks over her shoulder, and finds that Finn isn't with her.
"Finn! What! Are you doing?"
"I-I was going to say hi to Simon. I haven't seen him for years."
"So? You're going to side with them? You're going to let a complete stranger into our home?"
"Ember, it's not just our home. It's everyone's. It's for survivors. We can't just make him stay out there. He'd get killed!"
"That's not my problem. And it's not yours either."
"But I'd know that it was because of me, he was dead. I can't do that. You know that. You know how bad I feel about my parents! I couldn't do that again."
"I don't know why. You have to get used to it Finn. That's what's going to happen in this world. And frankly, I'm tired of your crying every night. Nights aren't supposed to be used for crying. They're supposed to be used for something more productive."
"I told you the first night that I stayed in the room with you that I wasn't like that anymore!"
"Why not? What? Am I not pretty enough? I know for a damned fact that I'm drop dead gorgeous!" And then Finn just stands there for a while. His face twisting into different emotions. Now there are no more emotions. His face is a mask. He walks over to her, and my heart sinks to my feet.
'He chose her. He really chose her.'
Finn leans down, and I strain to hear what he's saying.
"Fuck. You."
"What did you say to me?" Ember looks shocked.
"Did I stutter?" Finn turns away from her and walks to us. He puts his arm around my shoulder, and says it one more time, this time louder. "Fuck you. I'm done with all your shit. I'm done with you."

And Ember loses her shit. She's screaming, and kicking things. Stamping around the living room. Throwing pillows, and pulling knifes out of the holder. She points a knife at me, and walks toward me.
"YOU! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! YOU'RE THE CAUSE OF ALL OF THIS! THINGS WOULD BE OKAY IF IT WASN'T FOR YOU!" My survival mode kicks in, and I instantly take a stance as everyone steps back. Ember lunges toward me, and I side step and spin around to end up behind her. She turns around, the knife outstretched. I kick the knife out of her hand, and turn around, grabbing her under the arms. I fling myself forward, and Ember flies over my shoulder. She hits the ground with a smack. I put my foot on her chest as she tries to get up.

I point to the entrance and look down at her. I resist the urge to spit in her face. "You need to leave. Now. Get your shit. And get out."
"You can't do that!"
"No, but I can! Get the fuck out my cave!" Marceline yells from the hallway. A few minutes pass, and Finn comes out carrying her things. He sets them down next to her head, and I take my foot off of her chest. We step back and everyone watches as she gathers her bags. Ember twitches out of the entrance and out of our lives. Hopefully this time, for good.

3rd person POV

Ember made her way out of the maze. She smiled as she made her way carefully through the woods. She had done exactly what she had planned. She had proved that the group could be divided. She walked causally to the spot. Past the river, after then bend, behind the willow tree, and four boulders to the left. Pulling on a handle that was hidden to the untrained eye, Ember descended down the stairs. She walked through the long corridors that made up The Underground. Stopping at two large double doors, coated in red velvet, she knocked. A few seconds passed as the hulking doors creaked open. She strode to the front of the room, and sat in a chair to the right of a steel throne. She draped her legs over the arm, and looked behind the throne.
"Why do you hide like that? It's weird." A figure stepped out of the darkness. A black satin cloak shimmered in the low light that came from the torches around the huge room. He sat in the throne, and turned to Ember.
"Did you get what you were sent for?" His deep voice boomed through the room.
"Yes dad. I did."
"Good." And then he laughed. A deep throaty, horrible laugh. It sent chills down Ember's back. But, she smiled none the less.
