Mira let out a scream of success for her punch had caused the barrier to shatter. The man waved his hand and all of the militairy forces seemed to disappear into red smoke.
Removing his robe Mira found him to be quite attractive but she tried to focus on his face which was as pale as a ghost, a wicked grin was plastered to his face and his eyes a beautiful red.
"That was not. You did not just. Grrr. Your creepy..." The man said.
"I could say the same thing about you. Hmm." She countered. The man in front of her seemed to fade into shadows, she looked in all directions finally locating him behind her.
This time the man was struck with a horrid frown "How could you say such a things, I try my best,"
"Are you here to fight me or will you let us go in peace?" Mira interrogated hurriedly.
"I'm sorry but I can't let you go. You have something we need." The man then jumped high into the sky, far out of Mira's view, he returned at an astonishing velocity heading right for Mira, right at the last second she jumped backwards. When the man came in contact with the ground he seemed to have the same effect to the terrain as Mira did to the barrier it shattered. Through the clouds of dust Mira could hear an evil cackle.
Picking up on his location by sound Mira sped into the dust, set her target and punched the man as hard as she could in the jaw. The psychotic mage flew threw the air only stopping by connecting with a building causing it to collapse.
Thinking she had done him in with that punch she felt a slight tap on her shoulder, turning around quickly her eyes connected with those of the man wearing a cloak. He put his finger on her forehead and sent a pulse of energy causing Mira to roll like a rag doll for about the length of a football field.
She tried to rise to her feet after the blow but found it difficult, she was running out of magic and fast. When she finally rose to her feet she saw the red eyed demon she had been fighting, rubbing at his jaw and spitting blood.
"You bitch! Now it hurts to smile!" He shouted, he summoned the magic tentacles again and started spinning like a top. His speed continually increased to the point that Mira knew if she was hit by the rotating attacker she would be cut in half. So the she devil extended both of her arms creating a seal.
"Magic Missile Volley x30!" Mira cast the spell and numerous rounds of energy shot from her palms. They desecrated the terrain surrounding the he spinning foe yet continued to get closer. She cast a beam of energy and it merely reflected off of her opponent. He was only five yards away when he called.
"Now Aukuma!"
He stopped spinning and sent the tentacles into the earth. The tendrils then extended from the ground right where Mira was standing, rapping around her arms as well as her neck and feet. She was bound to the ground and could not move. Hearing a heavy scream from above her, Mira shifted her eyes and saw her opponent both falling from the sky and maintaining a tight grasp upon her on the ground.
"Wait! There are two of you!" Mira shouted. Realizing she had run out of magic she returned to her human form.
The man descending from the sky stopped falling and created a seal "Abyss Cannon Suffering of Twelve Hundred Souls!" A green beam of energy about five yards wide shot from the seal with the horrid screeching of suffering souls. Mira accepted that she was going to die but right before the beam collided Ikki jumped in front of her taking the full force of the attack.
"No!" Mira screamed as Ikki's skin turned gray. He fell onto one knee and the discolored skin began to flake off revealing a glowing green body underneath.
"It's okay Mira, my magic takes the magic of others and allows me to use it to my advantage, in this case the pure magic overflowed out of my system and is being retained by the ring I'm wearing."
