Alright, I actually didn't wait to long to post here.
Though, as I'm writing this, I'm having trouble coming up with much. Is this what writer's block feels like? It feels...really heavy. And sweaty.
Anyways, how goes the story?
Well, Alot and Rouge successfully got Silver the All-Cure fruit, healing Silver in a days' worth. We also delved a bit into Alot's backstory, and learned more about his connection with his old sensei.
Now, Alot and Silver prepare for their journey ahead. But, like any grand adventure story, they have yet another obstacle to surpass?
WILL THEY SURPASS IT? WILL THEY OVERCOME IT? WILL ALOT STOP ACTING LIKE A LESS SHADOW-Y SHADOW?! ...hell, I have no idea. LET'S FIND OUT!
Well, I have to give it to him, Alot pulled through for me. I got out of that hospital just hours after the excruciating subsided from the All-Cure Fruit he got me.
Now if only he was good company...
"So..." Alot said, "What's exactly in the future?"
I looked at him a little stunned. "You're not worried about the whole time paradox thing if I tell you? It could be dangerous."
"Well, who knows what'll happen if you DON'T tell me."
...we don't blow up? "Well, it certainly looks nice. Lots of trees, blue skies. Kinda like now, only we also have another insane scientist to deal with, which is...actually, kinda like now as well. I guess not much happens." I rubbed my head. We were currently walking south from Grayley City, towards the first Chaos Emerald. From looking at the radar Tails gave me, it was on a beach, hopefully buried in sand so Nega wouldn't get to it.
"Well that's disappointing. Did the Puritans at least die out?" Alot asked.
"I'm gonna be honest, this is the first time I've ever seen or heard of these creatures." I said, slightly surprised.
"Well, that CAN be a good thing. If you haven't heard of them, maybe the damn things don't exist yet."
"Did the Puritans do something to you?"
Alot turned away for a second. "When I was two, my parents took me into the mountains so I could visit my sensei, Takama. When we got halfway up the mountain, something happened. I heard a howl, but I think I closed my eyes at the time. When I opened them, I noticed my sensei, the pools of blood, and my parents' dead bodies. When I got older, Takama told me everything that happened. Since then, I've gained two things relating to the Puritans. Fear..." He held up his hand, looking at his palm. All of a sudden, he clenched it into a fist. "And hatred."
Huh. Rouge left that out. Well, anyways, we're back at the plains, and it's just me and Alot for now. And that floating blobby silhouette in the sky-wait, why is there a floating blobby silhouette in the sky?
The floating blob turned out to be a vehicle...well it LOOKS like one from here. From the looks of Alot, it seemed like he was having trouble pointing out what it was too. It was floating in the air, and looked a bit gray. Come to think of it, the floating machine looks familiar...
"AH! THAT'S NEGA EGGMAN!" I ran as fast as I could, with Alot keeping up behind. I was slowly catching up to the machine, and when I was close enough, I pulled the machine to the ground.
"Doh, this happens. Of all the BLASTED things to frassle massle..." The pod opened, and I prepared myself for a fight against the evil doctor. When he stepped out...I may have gotten the wrong evil doctor.
"Doctor Eggman?" I said, surprised. Alot relaxed a bit, but not much. "So..." Alot said. "You're the esteemed Dr. Eggman that tore apart the planet so long ago."
Eggman looked at us both. He looked at me with familiarity and hatred. He looked at Alot with confusion, disgust, and...well, hatred. "Silver? Some hedgehog? What do you want? My next evil plan isn't until next Wednesday, and the infuriating blue hedgehog is supposed to be the one to foil it!"
"Well, you see, I...well, kinda thought you were your Nega counterpart." I said sheepishly.
"Nega Eggman? Pfft. The fool has nothing on MY IQ. I refuse to team up with him ever since he almost sacrificed EVERYONE just to destroy Sonic and that cat. Seriously, how can you rule a land when you're not alive?"
"One, that CAT is called Blaze. Second, you're against Nega Eggman now?"
Eggman gave me a sneer. "Note that I have no intention of helping you. I simply want to go about doing my evil deeds and getting my evil paycheck."
Oh, we're playing that game are we? "Fine. Be that way. By the way, you should probably know just what we're doing." Alot gave me this look. "Silver...what are you planning?"
"You see, I, along with my trusty sidekick Alot here, plan to collect all seven Chaos Emeralds. Once we do that, I'm heading to my own time. As you might know, the Chaos Emeralds I collect will stay here with me and, you know, trusty sidekick and all, and we're also going to use them to kick the rear end of our lovely friend Nega Eggman. But hey, if you're not interested..." I pulled Alot along and walked away. I held up three fingers and pulled them down respectively. "Three...two...one..."
"The evil paycheck can wait. Where are those Chaos Emeralds?!" Eggman rushed up to us, giving a crazed look. I have gotten some desired results.
"Oh, you see, we haven't collected any yet. But we'd be happy to share them with you. Just let us go home first, and they're yours. Hell, I'm not gonna be here anymore, and Alot won't care about what happens so long as you leave his city alone, isn't that right Alot?" I nudged his shoulder.
"What are you talking about, Silv-"
"ISN'T THAT RIGHT, ALOT?!"
"Oh, I, uh, of course!" Alot gave a sly smile and played it cool. Attaboy, Alot.
"However, if you want us to get them faster for you, then perhaps you could help us. See, Nega Eggman has been attacking us lately, so if you could just keep him under wraps, that'd be nice." I said oh-so-lovely. I wanted this to be played out as smooth as possible.
"Hmm...I'll have to push back my evil construction...but it WILL mean seven Chaos Emeralds! Very well then Silver and...uh...Alittle!"
"Erm, it's Alot, actually-"
"Whatever! I will help push back the Nega forces so you can easily collect the Chaos Emeralds for me."
Hmm...oh yeah! Now that I think about it, better milk this cow for all it's worth! "One more thing, Nega revived Metal Sonic and fused him with some sort of robot. He can copy others' abilities and mimic them with perfection!"
Eggman twirled his mustache a bit in contemplation. "Hmm...that sounds like that Emerl robot from so long ago. Chances are you won't be able to beat him. Of course, there's always that infernal Sonic that might be able to beat him."
"Why's that?" I asked.
"Because Metal Sonic and Sonic already both do the same thing. That's what I designed him for, to not only be like Sonic, but better!"
To be fair, I hate to say it...but he succeeded. I've had my fair troubles fighting Sonic, but fighting Metal Sonic, was like fighting an improved Sonic. With my powers to boot, nonetheless.
"Well, I'll get going then. I need to figure out Nega's next move. You two hurry up and get those Emeralds!"
"Will do Eggman!" I saluted. I pulled Alot away and we began walking towards the first Emeralds' location.
"Dude!" Alot said, shocked. "Why'd you tell him that?! He already almost destroyed the world once, and that was WITHOUT the Emeralds' powers!"
"It's fine, Alot. Of course I'm not giving him the Emeralds. You and me, hell, maybe even Shadow and Sonic will beat both Nega AND Eggman to the curb." I said, calm.
"I guess that makes sense. Oh, one more thing..." Alot punched me, sending me flying across the plains.
"OW! What was that for?"
"Never call me a 'trusty sidekick' again. EVER!"
And so ends another chapter. And I'm going to be honest...I have no idea what to do after this. I'm serious, I'm drawing a blank.
I don't want them to find the Emerald JUST yet. I want that to be a few chapters ahead. I guess I'm going to have to call writer's block for this one.
I WILL continue this story. I have ideas for it. Just...none that I want to execute yet. Trust me, this one's not going to end anytime soon...it will end though. You don't have to worry about that.
With that said, I'm the Silver Keyblade, and remember, NEVER call Alot a "trusty sidekick."
