Chapter 21: Welcome To Earth
(Wolf's P.O.V.)
"Are you ready Krystal?" I asked as I looked beside me and at the beautiful vixen holding my hand. She nodded her head, and I couldn't help but look over her clothing once again in admiration. Her clothing was casual, but it accented her beauty perfectly and in a way that sent my heart racing as I beheld my soon to be wife. She was wearing form fitting blue jeans that covered the top parts of her shoes, and her blouse was bright white with faint blue cuffs and a collar. And the best part, her wide smile and sparkling eyes.
"Sir, we are ready when you are."
Looking over my shoulder and towards the technician that had spoken, I nodded my head, and returned my gaze to my beautiful fiancée. "You may want to close your eyes... this device has a blinding effect."
She nodded, and when we stepped closer to each other, I made sure to watch her close her eyes before I did the same myself. There was a loud humming noise, and while the machine powered up, a bright flashing light began to strobe all around us, and the very air seemed to thrum with power. Krystal's hand tightened on my own, and I felt my heart picking up pace...
And then it was silent and my eyelids were dark, and I hesitantly opened my eyes and found myself and Krystal standing on a pad in front of half a dozen human technicians. They were looking at both Krystal and me or at the instruments that operated the teleportation pad.
Smiling, I squeezed Krystal's hand a few times to get her attention. Looking over, I saw her look over towards me with a loving smile, before I said, "Let's go find the general so we can go to my hometown."
...
Stepping out of the SUV and looking around, I saw lots of pedestrians stop and look in my general direction. Smiling, I turned and gave my hand to Krystal, and then proceeded to help her out of the vehicle as well. She smiled as she stood beside me, and as she did so, she took a look around. Many of the Cerinian scientists from the Base were here with us and looking around, and with each one of them was a human handler. Krystal and I however had our own handlers in case we separated from each other, but they had both promised to give us our privacy enough that we could carry out our own personal conversations.
"I can't believe we are really doing this!" Though she kept it between us, the excitement was pretty evident in her voice. She was looking towards me with bright, wide eyes, and she was smiling brighter than I had ever seen before, and as we stood there, I looked back towards the diner across the street with an idea in my mind.
Smiling as I looked towards Krystal, I knew she knew what I was going to ask, but I still had to ask it out loud, "Do you want to have some lunch before we go meet my family?"
She leaned against me and planted a kiss over my lips, and that was all the answer I needed from her. Leaning into the kiss while reaching up and pulling her into a hug, I felt her happiness seep into my own thoughts as she sent me a mental reply, I would love that...
We both pulled away at the same time, we both opened our eyes at the same time, and we both smiled a bit more at the same time. Everything was perfect. Nothing was going to stop us from enjoying our time here. And best of all, we were going to best focus on each other...
"Wolf...?"
"Hey Wolf!"
Looking towards the sidewalk, I saw two familiar faces looking back at me. Raising my eyebrows in surprise, I couldn't help but chuckle as I asked, "Rebecca? Striker?"
Krystal looked over as well, and as soon as we were all looking at each other, I found myself surprised to see them. During my time on Cerinia, I had quite literally forgotten all about them; rather I forgot about everything back here on Earth. Their eyes shifted from me to Krystal, and I saw the smiles slowly melting from their faces. Striker, as he didn't like being called by his first name of Rachel, was looking on with disbelief as he asked, "Is that... Krystal?"
"Heh," glancing over at Krystal, I saw her looking back at me with a smile, "Yeah... this is her."
Rebecca and Striker both looked a bit surprised, yet it was Striker that seemed to study her a bit more than Rebecca, who instead asked me, "Where you been for the last week Wolf...?"
Looking at the handlers and Cerinan's that were walking around, I let out a clipped laugh, before saying, "I have been living on Cerinia... hey, would you two like to attend my wedding?"
Their eyes widened as they gaped at me, and I shrugged as I said, "You two go ahead and make your decision, Krystal and I are going to be inside." Prepare yourself for a lot of questions...
Turning and leading Krystal across the street, I made sure to glance both ways prior to crossing, and while we crossed, I felt nearly every human eye on me. They are already thinking of dozens of questions. Krystal let out a happy giggle, before she said softly so no other ears could hear, "If they are surprised about the marriage, I wonder what they would think of if they knew of our plans after the wedding..."
I felt my heart jump into my throat as I knew exactly what she was talking about, and despite knowing and expecting her to say something like that, I still was unprepared for it. My cheeks felt like they were burning, and a quick look revealed the same for Krystal, except her smile was of warmth, not embarrassment. Chuckling a bit, I found myself remembering the vivid shower from days prior, and Krystal's cheeks began to color a bit brighter as I leaned over and whispered directly into her ear, "What about your shower habits... you know, the one where you want me to bite your ear?"
Smirking as her ear flickered and lightly batted against my lip, I used the opportunity to grab the tip of said ear in my lips and apply a very faint bit of pressure with my teeth. I made sure to pull away before anyone nearby could get a good enough look, but the real reward was hearing Krystal gasp softly as a she shivered; almost as if a cold breeze ran through her fur.
I felt her hand let go of my own, and she hit my chest hard enough to force a breath to leave my lips, and she said hotly in a whisper, "D-Don't do that in public!"
Chuckling a bit, I took her hand from my chest with one of my own and raised it to my lips, and I gave the top of her hand a kiss as I caught her eyes with my own. It's not like anyone will understand what I just did... remember, I'm your soon to be husband, and I didn't even know biting your ear was something seen as intimate.
She glared at me with the brightest blush I had ever seen on her muzzle, but she huffed as I opened the door to the diner and walked in with her. She kept by my side as we entered, and I looked around and saw it was rather empty in comparison to when I had shared a quick meal here with my friends last time I was here.
"Where do you want to sit?" I asked as I looked around. The few patrons that hadn't seen us were still talking to each other or eating, but those that had noticed us were all staring towards us. It was a little disconcerting after all...
"What about over there?"
Looking towards where Krystal indicated, I saw it was a rather comfortable looking booth that would provide us with a form of privacy as well. "Looks like a good idea."
Smiling as Krystal pulled me along we easily made it to the booth, but when Krystal sat down, she smiled sweetly as she pulled me down with her, but as soon as I was sitting beside her, she pulled and held me closely to her. Looking at her as I wrapped an arm over her shoulders, she gave me an innocent smile as she asked softly, "Can I have a kiss Wolf?"
As soon as I started to nod, she leaned up and planted a kiss on my lips. Yet as she started to tilt her head to the side, I felt her smile as I heard a pair of footsteps stop beside the table. Krystal didn't move to pull away or even acknowledge someone else was there, and I wasn't too worried about whoever it was; but I did have a sense of privacy when I wanted to kiss my beloved blue vixen.
Pulling away, I opened my eyes and saw Krystal smile as she lowered her head to lean against my chest. I already knew her enough to know she was just hiding her face from those that had come over, and when I looked over, I was able to understand why; It was Leo... the husky Cerinian I met upon my arrival to the secret base. Standing next to him was what I could suspect was his guardian, or handler, and both were looking down at me with wide eyes. The humans eyes were in surprise and Leo's were in wide in knowing with a humorous smirk.
Krystal buried her muzzle deeper into chest, and then she chose to speak into my mind. That is for making me blush so badly.
Chuckling a bit as I felt my face warming up, I looked down at Krystal, before looking back at Leo and asking, "Would you like to sit down...?" Fair enough...
He shook his head as he let out a sigh, "I would like to, yes, but only for temporarily." After he took a seat, he moved over so that his Handler could sit down as well. When they were both comfortable, I felt Krystal pull her head away from my shoulder to instead lean against it, and I didn't need to look to know she was studying the Cerinian across from us. Leo smiled as he inclined his head to her with a smile, before he looked back at me and asked, "I have read a field report from Mr. Seal, and I must ask, is it true that you helped in the defense of Cerinia?"
I felt my smile falter, but only by a fraction before I shrugged, mindful of Krystal as she remained leaned against my shoulder, before saying, "Not this time, but I did keep Krystal and our family safe during our trip to a cruiser..."
"Ah yes... I must say Wolf; you tend to always be in the right place at the right time... how do you manage to do so?"
Letting out another brief chuckle, I shrugged my shoulders noncommittally, but I did say, "I don't know. I just wish I could relax again without so much... er, chaos occurring around me. My side no longer troubles me, thanks to Cerinian medicine, but that was only after breaking a few bones and getting injured multiple times..."
I may remember those painful memories, but I also remember a few of the more enjoyable ones I shared with a certain beautiful blue fox.
Krystal giggled quietly, before I added out loud, "There were good memories as well, don't get me wrong." I see why those fighters are supposed to be single person usage, but we managed it pretty well... somehow.
Wolf, stop trying to make me blush.
"Yes, well I must apologize for your rough stay on Cerinia. I can only hope your life there isn't as unfortunate as your prior experiences." I felt myself nod as we both looked to the end of the table. Standing there was a waitress looking quite nervous. When she handed out the menu's, I saw her hand was shaking a bit as I accepted, but Leo kindly declined by saying, "No thank you, I won't be staying for much longer."
The waitress nodded as she looked towards Krystal and I, and then she proceeded to ask, "Do you two know what you want to drink?"
Looking down at the menu, I couldn't quite remember where to find the drinks, but then again, I felt a smile spread across my lips as I looked down at Krystal. Would you like to share a milkshake?
Krystal looked up at me with twinkling eyes and a bright smile as she replied through the same fashion. I would be delighted to.
Looking back to the waitress, I nodded and asked for a milkshake. It was something I hoped Krystal would enjoy...
Looking at the wide array of flowers that were stacked on separate tiers one behind the other at higher levels was quite a joyful sight to Krystal indeed. My hands were held in front of me as I continued to smile towards the sight in front of me; a blue vixen smelling possibly each type of flower that she could. There were roses, lilies, sun flowers, morning glories, and so many more, and even though we were the only ones from Cerinia in here, that didn't bother us one bit. Krystal was enjoying herself as she couldn't decide which kinds of flowers she wanted at the wedding, and as she did, I walked over to the red roses and looked them over.
While I didn't have the time to tell her the meaning of the various colors for the different types of flowers, I was going to tell her the meaning of a red rose when I give it to her. Looking at each rose, I made sure to eye each individual one so that I could get her the flawless rose. Soft petals... gentle curves... no wilting... and bright red coloration.
Yet just as I stopped and looked at a sole rose, I felt hands slide over my shoulder, before a soft white muzzle came into view. She let out a happy sigh as she leaned against my back and said softly, "I can't think of which kind of flora to have at our wedding Wolf... what if we just get everything?"
Feeling a smirk cross my lips, I glanced over the entire shops flora, seeing more flower types than I could count lining the walls, shelves, or even hanging from the ceiling. Letting out a brief chuckle as I looked at everything, I found myself drawn back to Krystal as I kissed the top of her muzzle. Pulling away and looking in front of me, I reached forward and grabbed the selected rose; only to feel a small stab of pain from the tip of my index finger.
Pulling my hand back, I saw a small drop of blood collecting along the tip of my finger, and as I saw it, Krystal pulled away and reached forward to grab my hand. I smiled as I instead reached forward and once again grabbed the rose, and pulled it from the bushel.
The Red Rose is supposed to symbolize love... the thorns on a red rose may hurt, but so does love I guess. I would, will, and do happily deal with this pain for your love.
Krystal smiled as she leaned up and gave me a kiss along the side of my cheek, I love you too Wolf, but you don't need to go through pain just to share my love...
I felt a snort leave me as I gave a loving gaze to Krystal. When I first met you, I think it was that blue blast of light from the tree. Then I got shot when your family was under fire, but I am glad I became that distraction. Shortly after that I held off the rebels from storming through the doors again. After that it was a month before I met you again... less than a week ago really, and you hit me with your staff. Smiling widely as I saw her starting to frown, I decided to end this on a positive note. All this pain... but I wouldn't have it any other way. I am lucky enough to be marrying the most beautiful girl of two worlds, and I doubt there will ever be a moment that isn't memorable.
I love you, and I don't want anything to change... well, except for the problem of you having yet to meet my parents...
