Author's Note: Sorry for the lack of update yesterday, but I have it for today. Things were pretty hectic for me this month, what with college starting back up again, running around to get all the books I need, along with some personal issues in my life, but I managed to get it up. I hope you'll forgive me for the delay, but enjoy.

Terror Beneath the Sea
Arendelle, Norway
March 17, 1889
"Ugh," came an annoyed grunt from inside Arendelle castle. Laying stomach down on his bed, Jason was fanning himself off while watching his TV. Sitting on his bedroom floor with their backs against the bed were Gzilla and Mephiles, and like Jason, they were fanning themselves off too. Despite it being springtime in Arendelle, it was unusually hot and humid today, and everyone in the kingdom were trying to keep themselves cool. Jason had Mephiles portal in a stationary fan about an hour earlier, but not even that was keeping the three friends cooled off as evidenced by their constant hand fanning. "It's so hot," Jason groaned. "Why is it so hot?" he asked no one in particular, but his glancing in Mephiles' direction caused the demon to think it was directed at him.
"I don't know. What do I look like, a weather person?" Mephiles looked at the fan with disinterest, seeing how it wasn't really making a difference in the temperature of the room. "I'm gonna go get another fan."
"Where are you gonna get another fan?" Jason asked as the demon pushed himself off the ground. "We don't even know where you got this fan."
"And you'll never find out," Mephiles replied, opening one of his portals to an unknown destination.
Before the demon could enter, Jason spoke up. "Just come back here. I'm pretty sure another fan isn't going to make things any better, and I have a hunch that you stole the one we have now from a store. Besides, I really don't feel like staying in here all day watching TV in this kind of heat."
Gzilla wiped off the sweat accumulating on his forehead and chest as he turned to Jason. "Oh, and what do you have in mind for us to do? I don't want to go outside in that heat."
Mephiles backed away from his portal before closing it, nodding in agreement. "With my black fur, I'll probably burn up faster outside than I am in here."
Gzilla turned to Mephiles. "I'm not being mean by asking this, but why are you here when it's this hot? Why don't you just portal yourself to a cooler place and relax there for the day?"
"Because I'm lazy and this heat isn't motivating me enough to go anywhere," Mephiles replied.
Noticing Jason was pushing himself off the bed, Gzilla continued where he left off as Jason walked over to the window. "You still didn't answer my question. What you have in mind?"
Looking out the window at the fjord gave Jason an idea. "How about we all go swimming? That'll be an excellent way to cool off."
"Sounds good to me," Gzilla replied.
"What about sharks?" Mephiles asked.
Jason hadn't thought about that. "I don't know. Hang on, I'll check and see what species are living in these waters." He walked away from the window and went to get his iPad from his nightstand drawer.
"Oh yeah, because I'm sure there'll be an accurate list of shark species in this area from the year 18-freaking-89..." Mephiles replied.
Jason rolled his eyes at the snarky comment as he began a search of shark species in Norway. "Sharks have been alive since the time of the dinosaurs, so I'm pretty sure that if they're living in one particular area countless years ago they'll stay in the same relative area. Plus, this water isn't very warm, so there won't be as many sharks here. The great thing about that is there won't be any possibility of us running into great whites, tigers, bulls, or oceanic whitetips." When he found what he was looking for, Jason walked back to the others, reading off the information.
"Okay, there are only three species of sharks that live around the seas of Norway, and only one has been known to attack humans, but it was due to human provocation and it was non-fatal," Jason said.
"Well, what might we be swimming with?" Gzilla asked.
"The Greenland shark, which is no threat to us since it lives in deep waters where it's very cold; the basking shark, which is a filter feeder; and the porbeagle shark, which is one we should be a bit weary of if encountered."
"Sounds lovely," Mephiles said in an un-caring way. All he wanted to know was if potential man-eaters could be in these waters. "Now are we gonna get going or what?"
"Should we ask the others if they want to come with us?" Jason asked.
"I think so," Gzilla replied at the same time Mephiles said "no."
Jason looked at Mephiles. "Why don't you want to ask the others?"
"Because they might say yes. Look, it's hot and humid outside, so I'm already in a bad mood. I don't need these cartoon characters doing quirky traits common to them that will only annoy me further. Especially the snow man."
"I still can't believe you don't like Olaf..." Gzilla muttered under his breath.
"Well, we're asking them, so if you don't want to be around them because you find them annoying then you can just stay here and not swim," Jason said, walking past Mephiles to the door.
"It's not that I find them annoying all the time... well maybe the snow man, but it's just that I'm already annoyed and cranky so there's a good chance I'll probably piss them off," Mephiles replied.
"I'm surprised that you actually care about not wanting to piss off other people. I think the heat's getting to your head," Gzilla said as he walked past Mephiles.
Just as he was about to vocalize a response, Mephiles paused and thought about it. Maybe G was right about the heat getting to him. Why should he care if people got pissed off at what he said? It wasn't until Jason and Gzilla were out of the room that he finally started to reply. "Eh, I probably just don't want to deal with any of 'em." Realizing that he was now alone after a few seconds, Mephiles simply shrugged his shoulders and floated in front of the fan, letting the breeze blow over his body. "It's probably best that I don't go anyway." He then floated over to Jason's bed and grabbed the TV remote that was laying next to where Jason had been, and started channel surfing once he got back in front of the fan. "After some Comedy Central, I think I'll do my favorite pastime; stealing food," he said hungrily.
The first person Jason and Gzilla went to ask was none other than Elsa. When they entered her throne room, they soon discovered how she was keeping cool in this heat. The entire room looked like the inside of a freezer, but ice only covered the ceiling, floor and walls. "Hurry and get in here, you're letting out the cold," Elsa said. She was sitting behind a desk with several short piles of paper sorted all over the desk, and was writing and working on the papers she had in front of her.
"Sorry," Jason said as he and Gzilla quickly came in. After closing the door behind him, he looked around the room. "If I knew that your room was like this, I would have just hung out here with you." The look that Gzilla gave him made Jason add-on to his statement. "With G and Meph joining me, of course."
Elsa sighed a little. "You'd have been disappointed then because I'm really busy today. I have to fill out paperwork for summer clothes, food for everyone, and many other things my people need." She looked up at them after writing something down. "I'm not trying to be mean when I say this, but can you be quick about this and tell me what you wanted."
"I was wondering if you'd like to come swimming with us since it's really hot, but since you're working, I guess that means you can't come," Jason said.
Elsa nodded sadly. "I'm really sorry, Jase."
At that moment, Jason decided that maybe his flirty charm would work on getting her to come. "Awww, you mean you can't take a tiny, little break just to see me swimming without aaaaaaugh." He was trying to strut over to her in a flirty manner while speaking, but it backfired on him when he slipped on the icy floor, falling on his behind. When Gzilla laughed at this, he sent the reptile a glare as icy as the room.
Witnessing this and finding it cute, Elsa giggled. "Without an aaaaaugh? I didn't know you had one of those on you."
"I meant to say without a shirt on," Jason replied, pushing himself back on his feet slowly so he didn't fall again.
Elsa playfully smirked at him. "But what if I don't want to see you without a shirt on?"
"Oh, I think you'd like it," Jason said.
"I've seen you without a shirt on and I don't like it," Gzilla said.
Jason looked over his shoulder at his friend. "No one asked you."
"Hey, I'm also in this room, so I think I can give my opinion."
Jason just rolled his eyes and said nothing back. Turning to Elsa, he tried once again to convince her to go swimming with them. "Please, Elsa. You don't have to stay out there with us for too long, just enough to get cooled off in the water and have some quick fun with us. I promise to help you with your work once we're done swimming if you go."
Finding his persistence adorable, Elsa finally gave in. "Alright, alright, I'll go with you, but you have to help me when we're done. No backing out of it," she said, giving Jason a semi-stern look to let him know she that she meant it.
"I promise I will help you, your Majesty," Jason said, bowing before her. Unfortunately, that caused him to slip on the floor again. He heard both Elsa and Gzilla laughing as he found himself laying chest-down on the ice floor.
Elsa got out from behind her desk and walked over to him. "Here," she said, giving him her hand. "I take it you'll be telling my people about your swimming idea so they can enjoy it too?" she said after helping him up.
"Of course. I'm sure they'd be happy to do it. I'm surprised that they weren't already swimming," Jason said. When he watched the movie, he just naturally assumed that the people here swam in the fjord when it got really hot, but upon looking out the window, he didn't see anyone swimming. He found it a little odd that Elsa had asked him in a way that made it seem like swimming in the fjord was a new idea to her.
"That's because people don't normally swim in the fjord because we really don't know what's in there. Trading ships that come here sometimes encountered giant sea creatures close to our shore, so everyone was too afraid to swim. Since you're here now, if anything like that would happen to come, I'd know that you're here to fight it off and keep everyone safe. Most of my people are in the ballroom right now. I turned it into an ice rink so that everyone could stay cool in there." She began walking out of the throne room. "We better go now because I don't know if I can wait any longer to see you without a shirt on," she said with a chuckle, winking at Jason playfully when she looked at him over her shoulder.
Jason's face turned bright red after hearing that, and when he started walking after her, he slipped and fell again.
Gzilla looked down at him. "You're really falling for her, aren't ya?" he said, laughing at his little pun.
"...Shut up," Jason said as he started crawling across the icy floor, standing back up once he was out in the hallway. "And that pun was terrible."
"Whatever," Gzilla said. "It was perfect."
They caught up with Elsa just as she reached the ballroom. Once she opened the doors and they stepped inside, Jason looked around and saw that ice was covering every available space just like in Elsa's throne room. The townspeople appeared to be rather comfortable.
Elsa walked toward the center of the room as Gzilla closed the doors behind him. "Can I have everyone's attention please?" she said loudly. Once everyone in the room stopped what they were doing and gave her their attention, she continued. "As you know, it's really hot outside, but Jason has told me something that we all can do to keep cool." She turned to Jason, giving him a silent cue for him to start talking.
Not expecting her to actually have him explain, Jason was silent for a few moments as he collected his thoughts before speaking. "Well, I was just thinking about all of us swimming in the fjord. The water should be very cool and refreshing, and I know from my personal experience that it's fun."
The townspeople began talking among each other about the idea before a middle-aged man spoke up. "But we aren't allowed to swim in the fjord. What if a sea monster attacks us?"
"I'm pretty sure a sea monster isn't going to show up, but if one does, I will protect all of you and the kingdom. Plus, there will be rules made by myself and the Queen to prevent any other things from occurring," Jason explained.
Elsa nodded. "That's right. So for today, and only today unless we have another hot day, I will let everyone here swim in the fjord. If everything goes smoothly, I will consider letting it be open for swimming in the summer." She was met with resounding cheers from her people before they began exiting the ballroom to return home so they could find suitable swimming clothes. Elsa, Jason, and G were about to leave to get their own swimming clothes, but Anna's shouting made them stop and wait.
"Elsa, wait for us!" Anna shouted as she, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf raced after her by sliding and skating across the icy floor. "I can't wait to swim around with you," Anna said once she reached her sister.
"We won't be going too far into the fjord, so don't get too excited," Elsa said. "Since it was Jason's idea, he probably knows more about keeping everyone safe in the fjord more than I do, so he's giving the rules and I'm just gonna make sure everyone follows them."
Kristoff looked at Jason. "We'll still be able to see stuff, right? I've always wanted to see fish when they weren't separated from me by a thick sheet of ice."
Jason shrugged. "I dunno if there will be any fish close to where I think everyone will be safe swimming at, but I'm sure you'll find some interesting stuff on the sea bottom like sea stars or little crabs."
"Come on, come on," Olaf said while jumping up and down in excitement. "I wanna go swimming! It's something I've always wanted to do despite not knowing how to do it!" As he slid out of the room, the others followed him.
"Let's just hope Elsa doesn't freeze the fjord like the last time she tried to step foot in it," Anna said with good-natured teasing.
"I won't, I won't," Elsa said. "Just make sure you don't try to marry the first person you bump into," she teased.
"You are never going to let that one go, are you?" Anna said with a laugh.
"Not for a million years, little sis." With that, the small group of friends went their separate ways in order to go change into swimming clothes in their respected rooms (although Kristoff had to change in Anna's room, the young princess made him wait outside by the door until she was done).
It wasn't long before a huge number of Arendelle's population was out by the strip of beached area on the right side of the castle. Since the side of the castle facing them blocked out the sun and provided them shade, it was logically a good choice to swim around there. Standing out in front of the crowd of people with their backs to the water were Jason, Elsa, Gzilla, Anna, and Kristoff. Although Jason was glad that everyone chose to swim in an area that was away from the open ocean, it still didn't mean they were completely safe in the water. Glancing over his shoulder, he saw that the fjord water was clear enough to see the bottom, which meant that lack of visibility wouldn't be a problem.
Jason turned back to face the crowd. Many of the townspeople were simply wearing their underwear, which made him a little uncomfortable. He knew that since they've never swimmed in the fjord before that there wasn't really a need for bathing suits, but they could have at least worn something else. At least there weren't any skinny dippers. Anna was wearing a red one piece bathing suit that she bought at D.C. on her eighteenth birthday. Kristoff was only wearing what appeared to be his boxer shorts, but Jason really wasn't interested in knowing exactly. When he looked at Elsa, he was really glad that he managed to convince her to get that blue snowflake two piece bathing suit they saw in D.C. because she was looking amazing in it.
Elsa felt like someone was watching her, so when she turned to see who it was, she saw Jason looking at her. She smiled a little, not realizing that he was checking her out. That was because she was checking him out a little. Jason wasn't wearing a shirt, but had on some red shorts, or swimming trunks as he called them. As they both looked each other over, their eyes met and they finally realized that the other was checking them out. Jason and Elsa smiled nervously at each other, blushing hard before they turned briefly away in embarrassment. Thankfully, no one seemed to notice. Anna was too busy talking to Kristoff, Olaf was petting Sven while they looked at the water, Gzilla was looking up at the sky with a bored look on his scaly face, and the rest of the townspeople were too busy speaking among themselves.
After a few awkward moments, Jason spoke to Elsa. "Um...so...are you ready to get this show on the road?" he asked with a nervous chuckle, wondering how she was reacting to the sight-seeing he did of her body.
"Yes...I'm ready... I'm sure everyone that wants to swim is here," Elsa replied, wondering the same thing Jason was. Mentally shaking the thought away, she got ready to address her people. "Attention, everyone. We are about to go over the rules for swimming in the fjord, so listen up." Everyone's attention was on her. "Okay, Jason will now explain what you can and can't do in the fjord so pay attention. I want everyone coming home safe and sound."
Walking forward a few feet, Jason began explaining the rules that he thought were good for safety. "Don't go too far away from the castle. Be on the watch for sharks, even though the three kinds that I've told you about aren't dangerous to humans. The most important rule of all is to never go anywhere alone. Always swim with someone so that if something happens to you, you'll have help," Jason said, finishing up his rules. Then he remembered something. "Oh, and for anyone's who eaten recently, like in the past hour, you'll have to stay out of the water for at least an hour or so. It really isn't pleasant to eat and then swim. You'll throw up and get cramps. Not a pretty sight."
The few people who had to wait were mainly guys, but there were a couple of women sitting out with them as everyone raced into the water. So far, everyone seemed to be following the rules gave and were having a good time. Jason walked beside Elsa and talked to her. "The water feels really nice. Aren't you glad I got you to come swimming?"
Elsa smiled and nodded. "Uh huh. The water feels great against my body and it sure beats paperwork any day." They began wading out until they were about waist-deep in water. While moving, Elsa let her hands slide and swish about under the water. Although she was at peace, she still had to make sure she didn't lose control and freeze everything. When she looked over at Jason, she noticed he looked like something troubling was on his mind. "Everything okay?" she asked, looking at him with concern.
"It's nothing. I'm just keeping my guard up," Jason replied as he kept looking around.
"Oh yeah, the sharks... I thought you said they wouldn't bother with us," Elsa replied.
"I know, but still, you can never be too careful when it comes to wild animals. Also, I don't want anything happening to anyone out here."
"Jason, it's okay to be on guard, but don't forget to have fun. This was your idea, and I would hate to see you not having fun while doing it. I'm sure nothing is going to happen like you said before, so put a smile on that face." Elsa playfully threw sea water up into the air above herself and Jason, smiling peacefully as it rained down on them.
"SPLASH ATTACK ON ELSA AND JASON!" Anna shouted with loud giggling when she came up from behind Elsa, and began splashing both of them with sea water. "They cannot be left dry!"
"Hey!" Elsa laughed before splashing her little sister back. "If you want a splash fight, I'll give you a splash fight." The two sisters started a splash war, giggling all the while. Elsa looked over at Jason. "Help me out here. My sis is too spunky for me to handle alone."
Jason laughed and decided to join in the fun forgetting about his concerns for the time being. He swam over to Elsa's side and joined her in splashing Anna, causing the nineteen year old princess to back away with her hands shielding her face.
"It sure would be nice if my boyfriend came to help me!" Anna said, trying her best to keep water out of her face and splash back at the same time. After a few moments, Anna shouted for her loving boyfriend again. "Kristoff! Get your butt over here and help me!"
Not too far away, Kristoff was floating on his stomach, looking down into the water to try to find some sea life. So far, he didn't find anything, but he hoped to see at least one fish up close. Close to him were Sven and Olaf. The little snowman was floating on his back while his reindeer friend dog-paddled across the water happy as can be. They both heard Anna shouting for Kristoff's assistance and saw that he hadn't, so Sven paddled his way over to his human friend. Sven plunged his head under water and used his antlers to lift Kristoff up into the air.
"WOAH!" Kristoff shouted in surprise. Looking down, he saw Sven's smiling face. "What's the big idea, pal?" The sounds of Anna calling out for him got his attention. Thinking that she was in some kind of danger, he looked around for her quickly, but when he found her, he was relieved to see that she was only being splashed by Jason and Elsa. "What have you gotten yourself into this time, feistypants?" he said to himself with a chuckle. "Hang on, Anna, I'm coming!" Sven lowered him back into the water, allowing him to swim over to her.
"About time," Anna said when he joined her side. With things even now, the four friends began splashing one another and were joined by Sven and Olaf seconds later. All of them were having too much fun to see what Gzilla was about to do.
Upon seeing that his friends engaging in a splash fight, Gzilla decided to join them, but in a big way. After wading back to shore, he unleashed his Atomic Ray on the ground seconds after jumping into the air. Like he did before when he climbed the North Mountain many months ago, Gzilla used his Atomic Ray to propel himself up into the air. He flew over to his friends, making sure that when he stopped firing his ray that he wouldn't land directly on them. Thankfully they hadn't seen him, so once he was in position, he stopped his ray and began plummeting to the water below. "Olly olly oxen free!" he shouted, getting all of his friends' attention, but it was too late for them. Performing an epic cannonball, Gzilla splashed into the water. The wave he created was large enough to envelop Jason and the others, splashing them in a very effective way.
Once the others and Gzilla surfaced, they all laughed and their splash fight began anew, with Jason and Elsa against Anna and Kristoff, and Gzilla, Sven, and Olaf splashing whoever they could. "Hey, where's Mephiles at?" Anna asked, realizing that the demon wasn't with them.
"He didn't want to come. He said that the heat was making him cranky and..." Jason thought carefully about what he said next because even though Mephiles was a jerk at times, he didn't want now to be one of those times. "...he just didn't want his attitude to annoy everyone."
"Aww, that was nice of him," Elsa said. "I wonder what he's doing?"
Outside the hallway that led into the kitchen, a purple portal that most everyone in Arendelle would find familiar appeared out of thin air. Coming out of it as sneaky as can be was Mephiles. He floated quietly and stuck close to the wall so that if someone was in the kitchen they wouldn't be able to spot him.
Once he was close enough to the kitchen, he pressed himself up against the wall connecting to the opened kitchen door. Slowly, he leaned his head to peek inside to see if there was anyone still in there. Unfortunately, there were. Although many of the people in Arendelle were outside swimming, some of the kitchen staff were still working in there.
Mephiles pulled away quickly to avoid being spotted, cursing under his breath silently as he rested his head against the wall. Although he's stolen food while people were in the kitchen before, at least he had a plan and was expecting people those times. This time, he had no plan. Not one to give up on something involving food just because there of complications, Mephiles decided that he had to wing it. Not wanting to risk being seen by peeking inside again, he dissolved his body into black liquid. Keeping close to the wall, Mephiles slithered into the kitchen.
The castle's kitchen was a medium-sized room, almost the length and width of Jason's room. There were various counters and a large stove that were connected to the walls. The counters lined both sides of the room, with pots and pans hanging from the walls. There was a door that led to the freezer in the back of the room, which was where the fresh meat was stored. In the center of the room was a large table where the food was prepared at. Even though it was a big table, there was still plenty of room between it and the counters for people to walk around. Although trying to steal food out of a kitchen this size would probably be a challenge for any normal person, it wasn't for Mephiles. He's stolen food out of here more times than anyone knew, so he knew every square inch of the room, along with where the best places to hide were. He'd only been caught in the act a couple of times, but that didn't stop him. Plus, that was when he was just beginning to steal food from here. Fortunately, there were only two people in the room; the chef and one of his assistants.
Neither men noticed some black liquid dart under the table and hide in its shadows. Mephiles' liquid form slid up one of the table's legs until he reached the underside of the table. Now all he had to do was wait until both of them left the room. It was a good fifteen-to-twenty minutes before that happened. He was relieved when he heard the chef and his assistant say that they needed something in the freezer because he thought they would never leave. Once he heard the door to the freezer close, Mephiles' liquid form dripped onto the floor where he began reforming his regular body.
Darting out from under the table, Mephiles quickly looked around the room to see what food was around for him to steal. He didn't know how long it would take for the two men to return, so he didn't have time to waste. First place he always went was where the sweets were kept. There on the counter were several dozens cookies waiting for him, and he planned on getting as many as he could. The hungry demon dashed over and opened a portal to his room that was exactly three inches over his bed. Mephiles began tossing in as many cookies as he could while making sure he didn't damage any. Looking to the right of the cookies, Mephiles saw a plate of brownies, so he decided to steal those too.
It might be strange for someone to steal food when they could easily ask for it, but Mephiles did it because he found it to be more fun and exciting. To him, it felt like he was stealing a million dollars, except that he was able to eat his reward. The fact that he was a demon was also another factor to add in, but the fun and adrenaline he felt were the main reasons.
Just as he was finished with putting five brownie slices into the portal, he heard the sound of the freezer door opening. Somehow, he managed to get distracted and wasn't paying attention to his surroundings. "Hey, what are you doing?!" the chef shouted at him. Mephiles said nothing as he leaped through his portal, but before the men could reach him, the portal behind him.
Now in his room, floating over his bed that was filled with sweets, Mephiles chuckled in a Bart Simpson-esque way. "Suckers." He floated down on his bed and pulled down the part of skin covering his hidden mouth. When he shoved a brownie into it and began eating, his stomach rumbled for more. He might not have gotten all the food he wanted to, but he did get a decent amount to satisfy his craving. Besides, when would he ever get all the food he wanted?
Out in the open ocean, three enormous octopi were currently fleeing for their lives. Closing in behind them was another enormous predator that had them in its sights as its next meal. The octopi were eighty-two feet tall and ninety-eight feet long, which made them somewhat smaller than the giant lobster chasing after them. The reason this was happening was because the three cephalopods thought that they could take out the lobster using team work. That proved to be wrong, and it left two of the octopi with some missing arms. With the lobster closing in on them by the second, it looked like they were done for, but they had a last line of defense. Together as one, the octopi released an enormous cloud of ink behind them.
The lobster let out a shriek of confusion as it swam into the cloud of ink. Unable to see anything, much less its prey, it began swatting its pincers in an attempt to disperse the ink. While the predator was doing this, the three octopi were already zooming away from the area using their jet propulsion. When the giant crustacean got out of the ink, it only saw open ocean. Its prey were long gone. Snapping its giant pincers in irritation, the giant lobster began searching for new prey. Hopefully something that will be easier to catch and won't fart all over it.
Meanwhile, the octopi continued propelling themselves through the water for some time until they were sure that they had evaded the giant lobster. Once they settled down, the three creatures began to continue searching for food. As they crawled along the ocean bottom, they quickly learned that something was wrong. The area they were now in wasn't familiar to any of them. Feeling the need to investigate this new territory, they spread out a little across the sea bottom and began heading forward, making sure they were in each others eyesight. Unknown to the cephalopods, they were inside Arendelle's fjord and were moving closer inland.
The huge splash fight between Jason and his friends ended only a few minutes ago when a truce was declared by Elsa and Anna. Now they were split up and hanging out with the people they wanted to. Anna was with Kristoff, Gzilla was with Olaf and Sven, and Jason was with Elsa. "Hey, Jason," Elsa said. "I was thinking about going back to my paperwork, so let's go."
Even though Jason wanted to keep swimming and having fun, he did make a promise to help her, so he reluctantly nodded. "Alright." As he and Elsa began swimming back to the shore, Jason took in a large whiff of sea air and smelled something strange. Thanks to being half-Gojiran, Jason was given an incredible sense of smell, which he used to sniff the air again.
Hearing Jason sniff loudly made Elsa turn around to see what was the problem. "Jason, fake crying is not going to..." She watched as he morphed into Gigantis, keeping his height at six feet. "What's wrong?"
"I don't know. For some reason something just doesn't feel right. Call it a hunch," he said as he scanned the area, sniffing the air a couple more times. Despite having an incredible sense of smell in both human and kaiju forms, it was much more heightened when he was Gigantis.
Elsa gave him a slightly annoyed look. "Are you just doing this so you can get out of helping me?"
"No, no," he said, shaking his head. "I wouldn't fake something like this."
From the tone of his voice and the fact that Gigantis was back to scanning the ocean carefully, Elsa knew he was being serious. "What do you think is out there, a shark?" she whispered so that only he could hear her.
"No, something much bigger," Gigantis whispered back. "Do you mind if I swim around the fjord and make sure nothing's out there?"
"No, no, go right head," Elsa whispered. "Just be sure you stay safe, protect everyone, and get them out of the water if something is out there." She gave him a quick hug. "Oh, and when you're done, come back to the castle and help me with my work like you promised."
"I will, I will. I won't ever break any promises I make to you." Gigantis hugged her back for a moment "And I'll make sure to keep everyone safe."
Elsa watched him swim over to Gzilla for a moment before she began heading back to shore. She hoped that Gigantis was just being overly cautious.
"Hey, G," Gigantis said, motioning for his friend to come over to him.
Hearing his name, Gzilla turned to Gigantis and nodded at him to let him know that he heard him. "Be right back." Gzilla said to Olaf and Sven before swimming over to Gigantis. "What's going on, and why are you Gigantis right now?" he asked his friend.
"Something's not right, I'm picking up the scent of a large creature in the fjord, so I'm going to check it out. If anything happens while I'm gone, I want you to get everyone back to shore safely."
"I will, just make sure you're careful. You haven't had that many underwater fights with sea creatures in a while so be on your guard. You're in its home turf," Gzilla said.
Without saying another word, Gigantis nodded and dived under the water. Swimming away from everyone else out toward the open ocean, Gigantis began growing larger and larger as he got into deeper waters until he was at his full height. "I just hope I'm wrong and nothing's here," he said to himself as he began following the scent.
Back inside the castle, Elsa was sitting at her desk once again. She was wearing her Snow Queen dress again, and was just starting to get back to work on her important papers. Unfortunately, that's when the chef and his assistant came into the room.
"Your Majesty, you must do something about that demon, Mephiles!" the chef said in frustration. "He keeps stealing the food, and I'm sick of it." His assistant nodded agreeingly.
Elsa sighed, sliding her hands over her face in frustration. Mephiles' food stealing has been a problem ever since first came to Arendelle, and after he was caught in the act twice, the chef kept blaming him for any food that would disappear. Even though Elsa did believe the chef, there wasn't any real proof that the demon did it, so Mephiles was able to get away scott free. "Are you sure you saw him do it this time?" she asked.
"Yes, we both saw him. He was throwing the brownies we had just made into one of his strange holes."
Placing her hands back on the table, she sighed in annoyance. "I'll be sure to talk to him about this." At least she was able to punish him this time thanks to there being eyewitnesses.
"Thank you, my Queen. Hopefully you'll be able to make him learn that the food we cook is for everyone, not just him," the chef said before he and his assistant left the room, returning to their kitchen.
Figuring she'd better talk to the demon now rather than later, Elsa sighed in annoyance once more as she was pulled away from her work yet again, only this time it wasn't by something fun. "Hopefully I'll be get some of my work done today," she grumbled quietly as she began walking to Mephiles' room.
So far, Gigantis hadn't spotted anything in the fjord in his search. He was about a half mile away from shore, and the scent he picked up was still strong. All he could do was follow it and check out what creature was in the area. If there really was anything out there. Suddenly, he saw something large moving around on the seafloor about a yard away, so he stopped to see what it was.
Shuffling along the sea bottom was one of the giant octopi. So far it hadn't been very successful in finding any sort of food, but that changed when something floating above caught its attention. Using its keen eyesight, the cephalopod studied Gigantis as it continued moving along to keep the giant reptile in its sights unaware that itsw presence was known. Determining that Gigantis would make a nice meal, the octopus made a particular gesture with its arm that no other creature would be able to tell had a significant purpose.
Being highly intelligent, the arm gesture was actually a silent signal to the other two giant octopi that closeby. Working as an ambush team, one octopus would move around in the open to attract potential meals, as well as scope them out to see if they were worth attacking, and then would send a signal to the others, who were camouflaged nearby, in order to effectively ambush their prey. Noticing that its partners were starting to silently move into attack positions, the giant octopus continued moving, making sure it didn't alert Gigantis to the coming ambush.
Gigantis was relieved that the kaiju was just a giant octopus. Although he fought them before back in his own universe and knew they weren't a threat to the kingdom, he still wanted to make sure that it stayed away. As he began heading toward it to scare it away, something large slammed into his right side and latched onto him, momentarily knocking the wind out of him. It was when something slammed into him from his left that he realized what was going on. He walked right into an ambush set up by three giant octopi. Gigantis growled in slight pain as the two octopi's suction cups on their arms began ripping away flesh every time one of them pulled an arm off of his body. Before he could do anything, the third giant octopus latched onto him.
Covered in a mass of arms, Gigantis roared in anger and pain as the three octopi began biting his flesh with their beaks and ripped away flesh with their suction cups. Gigantis tried to thrash his body around in an attempt to dislodge them, but they were stuck to him like glue. The worse thing was that the octopi were trying to drag him down to the ocean floor in order to keep him in a more manageable location. Knowing that he needed to get them off him, Gigantis' dorsal plates began flashing blue.
The flashes of light caught their eyes, causing the octopi lessen their attack in order to figure out what was going on, but that only gave Gigantis the opportunity he needed. A shock wave of pure heat and radiation erupted outward from all over his body, badly burning and hurting the three octopi. Instantly, the cephalopods unlatched themselves from the saurian, but while the one who initiated the ambush managed to get away, the other two weren't so lucky. Gigantis grabbed the two octopi by one of their arms and slammed them onto the sea floor as hard as he could. Before they could detach the arms the saurian still had a grip on, Gigantis released their arms and grabbed them by their heads before they could get away.
Although Gigantis didn't like harming innocent creatures, especially ones that were just hunting, he didn't like being ambushed. Also, they wouldn't be left for dead on the ocean floor. Gigantis loved the taste of octopus, especially when cooked. After a few blasts of his Atomic Ray to each of the cephalopods' heads, Gigantis grabbed their unmoving bodies and began heading to the surface. Breaking through the water, Gigantis let out a loud roar of victory.
Hearing the roar, everyone swimming in the fjord saw Gigantis swimming back over to them. "Hey, what's Jason doing over there?" Anna asked.
"Oh, just doing his job," Gzilla replied.
Everyone watched as Gigantis swam past them and began wading to the forest on the opposite side of the castle. The sight of the two dead giant octopi he was dragging behind him made them gasp and quickly rush out of the water, fearing that more could be in there. Gigantis tossed the dead octopi onto the shore and began carefully roasting them with his Atomic Ray, making sure not to set fire to the forest around him. He was hungry, and they would make an excellent lunch.
"Elsa! Elsa!" Anna shouted as she ran through the castle halls with Gzilla, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf running after her, trying to find her sister. She felt that it was up to her to tell Elsa what happened only moments ago since Gigantis was now eating the two giant octopi that he found and killed in the fjord. "Elsa?" she asked, poking her head into the open door to Elsa's throne room. Upon seeing that her sister wasn't in there, she turned around and ran to the library. She wasn't there either, causing Anna and the others, who were starting to get tired from all this running around, to head for Elsa's bedroom.
"Where does she get the energy to run all over the place at top speed non-stop?" Gzilla asked Kristoff between labored breathing.
"I really don't know, but I wish I had what she has," Kristoff replied.
When they reached Elsa's bedroom, she wasn't there, but Anna heard the sound of her voice coming from Mephiles' bedroom. It sounded like she wasn't in a good mood. Even though Anna knew that Mephiles didn't like people being in his room or going into it, Elsa needed to know what just happened, so she flung open his door.
Elsa was right in the middle of scolding Mephiles for stealing food when the door opened, and Anna and the others dashed in.
"Elsa!" Anna said. Suddenly, the exhaustion that came from running full speed at a non-stop pace finally got to her, causing her to pant hard and lower her head closer to her knees. "Whoo, I'm tired now," she panted.
While everyone else was catching their breath, they saw what Mephiles' room looked like. Mephiles was sitting on his bed while Elsa was standing nearby. Apparently, he had painted the walls black at some point because they used to be green. All of the furniture that was originally in the room (bed and clothe dresser) were still there, but mounted on the wall to the left of his bed was his Gravity Hammer and Energy Sword. The moment everyone saw the left corner at the end of the room, they looked at Mephiles in confusion. What appeared to be a large collection of pictures and posters of Sunset Shimmer's human form from the cartoon My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic resided there.
The sight of puzzled, and one amused (that was Gzilla), looks on their faces made Mephiles cover his face in embarrassment. "Oh you have got to be kidding me..." he said.
"Haha, you're a Brony?" Gzilla said, very amused by the fact of a demon being a MLP fan.
"No, I am NOT a Brony," Mephiles said in defensive annoyance. "I just find Sunset...pleasing..."
"You totally like her!" Gzilla said with a smirk.
"Oh shut up!" Mephiles shouted.
"Enough!" Elsa shouted, stopping both of them from continuing. "Now what's going here?" She looked at Anna.
Having regained her breath, Anna raised her body back to an upright position and answered her. "Jason found some giant octopuses in the fjord. He killed them and now he's...eating them..."
"Wait, what?" Elsa asked. What were giant octopuses doing around in the fjord, and were there anymore out there.
"I know, right? Why would you want to eat an octopus? They're probably slimy and disgusting and...bleh!" Anna said, shivering in disgust from the very thought of eating one of those things.
"That's...not what I meant, but yes, that does sound a little gross," Elsa said.
"Actually, eating octopus is normal where we come from," Gzilla said. "There are actually restaurants that serve them and other sushi delicacies."
"Ewwww," Anna said.
Elsa walked over to them. "When Jason is done eating, tell him to see me right away. It's very important."
"Why don't you do it yourself?" Gzilla asked.
"Because I've got to tell someone to stop stealing all the food in the castle so he can gorge himself," Elsa said, sending a glare Mephiles' way.
Olaf gasped in shock and got off Sven's back. "You steal things?" he asked Mephiles.
"It's a crime of passion, and I don't see what's wrong with stealing food. They're gonna just make more of it anyway," Mephiles said in an uncaring way.
"It's wrong because it's wrong," Elsa said. "How would you feel if I came in and stole your hammer over there?"
"Pfft, if you even tried to do that, I'd hunt you down and fight you if I had to, but one way or another, I'd get my hammer back," Mephiles said.
"Then you'd have to fight both of us, cause I won't let you hurt my sister!" Anna said aggresively while standing beside Elsa.
"Lol, if you even touch Elsa in a wrong way Jason will kick your ass from one side of this kingdom to the other, and you KNOW he'd do it too, so I doubt that you would lay a finger on her," Gzilla said.
Elsa looked over at Gzilla, surprised by the fact that Jason would get that aggressive if one of his friends harmed her. Looking back at Mephiles, she scowled angrily. "If you EVER try to hurt me, I'll freeze you solid and throw you in the kitchen freezer, and when Jason finds out, I'll unfreeze you so he can deal with you."
The fact that he was getting tired of everyone being in his room when he just wanted to be left alone made Mephiles decide to fake agree. "Fine, fine, I won't hurt you. Now I think I've learned my lesson, so everyone can leave now. I'd say it was nice to have you in here, but it's not, so get out."
"You've learned your lesson when I think you have," Elsa said. "I think someone needs to teach you about why stealing is wrong since me threatening to kick you out of my kingdom wouldn't be such a good idea."
"Yeah, cause your boyfriend would probably convince you to go back on your word and let me stay," Mephiles replied matter-of-factly.
"Me and Jason are not dating. We are just friends."
"Then how did ya know I was talking about Jason when I only said your boyfriend?"Mephiles asked, his hidden mouth was smirking underneath the skin that covered it.
That statement made Elsa blush a little bit while she glared at Mephiles.
"He does have a point," Anna said to her quietly.
Elsa looked over at her so she could tell her not to encourage him, but that's when she got an idea. She looked back at Mephiles with a smirk. "Oh, I know who can teach you. Olaf and Anna will help you understand why stealing is wrong, and hopefully you'll stop doing it."
"...I swear I'll leave this kingdom if you tell me to do it," Mephiles said. It would be much better than spending time with Olaf. He'd rather do a swan dive off the top of the castle all the way into the ground than spend time with the little snowman.
"No, I think this is the only way to make you learn not to steal," Elsa said, still smirking at him. "And that learning starts right now." With that being said, Elsa walked out of the room and back to the throne room, smirking with satisfaction and pleasure all the way.
"Come on, Mephiles, we'll teach you in the library," Anna said as she pulled him off his bed by his arm and led him out into the hallway.
"Oh boy, this is gonna be so much fun! I can't wait to be a teacher!" Olaf said, skipping after his two friends eagerly.
"Someone kill me," Mephiles muttered under his breath.
After Anna, Olaf, and Mephiles were out of sight, Gzilla turned to Kristoff. "Wanna eat some octopus with me?"
"Um...no, not really. It sounds disgusting. Sorry. Anyways, me and Sven are gonna go lay in our cabin, so see ya around." With that, Kristoff and Sven left.
Gzilla shrugged. "More for me then," he said before leaving as well.
Out in the open ocean, one of the many sea creatures that lived in its waters was experiencing pain like it never felt before. Writhing in agony at the bottom of the sea floor, the surviving giant octopus that ambushed and tried to make a meal out of Gigantis was going through a painful transformation. Due to Gigantis' radioactive blood and flesh that it consumed, the octopus' body was mutating and changing. Scales were beginning to grow on its skin in an extremely painful way, as did some sets of small horns above its eyes. The orange coloration of its skin was slowly changing to gray and bleak color, and pain wracked every movement.
Unfortunately, its pain wasn't going unnoticed. Heading straight towards it at a slow and careful pace was the giant lobster that chased it into the giant saurian's domain in the first place. Seeing that its prey was now weak and would make an easy kill, the lobster began moving in for the final strike. What it wasn't expecting however, was that its prey wasn't the same as it was earlier. Lunging forward as fast as it could, the giant lobster opened its enormous right pincer and got its smaller pincer into a stabbing position.
The giant octopus' writhing was causing its arms to flail around as it watched the giant lobster prepare to end its life. Before the crustaceon could do anything though, one of to octopus' arms managed to smack into the crustacean, sending a huge charge of energy from its body into the lobster's. The energy surged throughout the crustacean's body, making it experience a pain that it had never felt before. Stopping its attack, the giant lobster shrieked in confusion and swam a yard away from the giant octopus.
The alpha predator of the sea studied the still-writhing octopus, trying to figure out how it was able to produce such an attack. Slowly and cautiously, the giant lobster began approaching it again. This time it was prepared for anything. All it saw during its second approach was an octopus in pain, so it decided to try attacking it again. Lunging forward into an attack position, the giant lobster tried to stab the giant octopus' head with its smaller pincer, but like before, the giant lobster's attack was inadvertently thwarted. This time however, several of the octopus' arms struck the lobster's body, sending multiple surges of nuclear energy inside it. The giant lobster screeched in pain and swam away as fast as it could. No prey with that kind of attack was worth messing with if it meant going through such intense pain.
Noticing that the lobster was fleeing and that some of the pain in its body was lessened after inadvertently releasing some of the nuclear energy inside of it through its arms, the giant octopus began searching for a place it could live. Since its body still wracked with pain and was still going through a scaly transformation, the giant octopus couldn't afford to move all over the ocean unless it wanted to be ambushed and killed when it wasn't at its best. There weren't any dens or places for it to call home around the area it was in now, so the giant octopus knew it had to return to Gigantis' domain in the fjord. While it was looking around earlier, it saw a few places that could be made into a den.
Using its jet propulsion, the giant octopus began moving back into the fjord, trying to ignore the pain caused by simply moving. It wasn't long before it found a large crack in the seabed close to one of the rock walls. Although it was a big crack, there was no way that an octopus of its size would be able to fit inside it. Figuring that it could make the crack bigger using its tentacles to widen the split seafloor, the giant octopus' eight arms moved in to grab a side. Without thinking, the nuclear energy inside the octopus' body was released again, but this time the energy caused whatever part of the seafloor it grasped to explode and break away.
Shocked at first, the giant octopus stopped what it was doing and thought about what just happened. Figuring out that it can use its newly gained ability to make the den bigger, the giant octopus began smacking all eight of its arms against the cracked seafloor, each strike causing nuclear energy to break the ground. Soon, the giant octopus had a deep enough den for it to live in, and the best part was that it was really roomy and comfy. Safe and out of danger, the giant octopus decided to sleep. Even if Gigantis did return to cause trouble, it was sure that its new power would be able to hold him off.
Mephiles sat in a chair in front of a little table in Arendelle castle's library. He found all of this to be pointless, considering that he wouldn't be learning anything from Anna and Olaf. He watched them get everything ready for his 'lesson' about why he shouldn't steal, his right arm propped up so he could rest his head against it out of boredom. He could just portal out of there, but he would probably feel bad for ditching Anna. "Can't we just say we did this so we don't actually have to do it?"
"No, we can't. You need to learn not to steal from us, or anyone for that matter," Anna said. "Trust me, Olaf and I will help you get rid of this problem."
"Righto," Olaf added.
Mephiles groaned. "It's not a problem. I enjoy doing it."
"It might not be a problem to you, but it is for everyone else," said Anna. "Stealing from other people shows them that you don't really care about their feelings or what the thing you've stolen means to them."
"Yeah, that sounds about right," Mephiles said with a nod.
Anna gave him an unamused look. "So you don't care about anyone here?"
"Well, I care about my friends, you, your boyfriend to some extent, andddd that's basically it."
"Mephiles, I don't go around stealing your food or things because I care about you and know that it's your's. By stealing the food that's here, you're basically stealing food from me because I'm one of the people who eats it." She then gave him an innocent smile. "You wouldn't want to steal something from someone who reminds you of your dear younger sister, right?"
Not expecting her to play that card, Mephiles sighed in mild frustration, facepalming himself. "I'm really starting to regret telling you that." Removing his hand from his face, he looked at Anna. "No, I wouldn't steal from you, but stealing food is fun for me." He looked at her with innocent-looking eyes. "You wouldn't want to take away the fun someone that you care about has, right?"
Anna wasn't falling for his innocent look. "Normally, no, but for what you're doing, then yes."
"I don't think he understands how other people feel about getting stuff stolen from them," Olaf told Anna.
"I think you're right, Olaf. Let's show him." She began walking over to one of the many bookshelves in the room. "Now Mephiles, me and Olaf are going to put on a little show for you..." She was interrupted by Mephiles' loud and annoyed groan, but she ignored it. "and let you see and hear how people feel when they get things stolen from them." She grabbed a random book off the bookshelf and set it on Mephiles' table. "Now, this is my book. I'm going to leave it here and look away, and hopefully no one will take it." She walked away from the table.
Mephiles looked at her, not sure if he was supposed to be a part of this crappy show or not. "What, you want me to take it or something?"
Anna turned around to face him, getting out of her little character she was portraying. "No, you're just going to watch what happens." She turned back around.
Olaf walked over to the table and saw the book. "Oh, look. A random book that I know belongs to Anna," he said in a slightly monotonous voice that made him sound like a robot. "I think I will take it because I want to read it now and do not want to ask her if I can." He grabbed the book and began walking away until Anna turned around and called him out on it.
"Hey! That's my book!" she said, obviously overacting. "Give it back to me right now!"
Mephiles groaned once again, and covered his face. Compared to them, they were making Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson look like Jimmy Stewart and Katharine Hepburn.
"But I want it right now," Olaf said.
"But I'm not finished with it yet!" Anna replied, stomping her foot a couple of times in frustration. "Don't you even care about how I'm feeling?"
"Well, how are you feeling?" Olaf asked.
"Like I want to jab two forks in my ears," Mephiles muttered under his breath.
"YOU want to know how I feel? I don't think you can handle the truth of how I feel. No truth handle, you, good sir!" Anna replied.
Mephiles slammed his face against the table. "Someone kill me or get to the point of all this. I really don't care which you do at this point."
"Okay, okay," Anna said to the demon, breaking character. When she looked back at Olaf, she got back into her role. "I feel very hurt by your action of taking my book. I wasn't done with it yet, and by doing this act of pure thievery, I feel betrayed by you. I thought you were my friend. Why did you do this to me? I would have given it to you once I was done."
"I am sorry. I did not know you felt this way about your book. I am glad to know that you are willing to give it to me when you are done with it. I did not mean to make you feel that way," Olaf said. "Can I have a hug?"
"Of course you can have a hug." Anna gave Olaf a big hug. Once she was done, she broke character again and looked at Mephiles. "So, did you learn anything from this?"
"Yeah. You and him will never win an academy award for best actress or actor at any point in this lifetime.
Anna rolled her eyes. "I meant about what we were trying to teach you."
Mephiles didn't want to go through this all over again and wanted this stupid lesson to be over with, so now it was time for him to do some acting of his own. He was quiet for a few moments, really making it look like he was thinking over what they had just taught him. "I learned that stealing is really wrong, and that if I do it again, I'll probably be hurting someone I care about."
Anna smiled and nodded her head, not knowing he was just faking it. "That's right. Do you promise not to steal from here again?"
"I promise," Mephiles said.
"Goodie. Now you can go do whatever you want," Anna said.
"Class is dismissed," Olaf said cheerfully.
"Yeah, okay," Mephiles floated out of his chair and opened a portal back to his room. As he went in, he chuckled ominously. He was going to keep his promise about not stealing food from Arendelle, which would most likely make him wind up back in this nonsense if he tried stealing food from here again, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to steal from other places.
Not hearing his laugh, Anna and Olaf smiled at each other. "I think he really learned something today," she said.
"Yeah. Maybe we should teach him about manners next time because I really think he needs to learn them," Olaf replied.
"I'm sure Elsa will arrange it if we bring it up," Anna said as she walked out of the library with her snow friend.
Jason was walking through the castle's hallway to Elsa's throne room, wondering what she wanted to talk to him about. When Gzilla interrupted his meal by telling him that she asked for him, Jason shrunk down and morphed back into his human form to go see her while his friend began eating. When he reached the room, he saw that she was still working. He lightly knocked on the wall to get her attention. "You wanted to see me?"
Elsa nodded and waved him in. "Yes, please come in." When Jason reached her desk, she began speaking. "Are you sure you got all the octopuses in the fjord?"
"Well, there were only three attacking me, but it's a pretty big ocean, so there could be more. One did get away from me, so it's probably out there too," Jason replied.
Hearing that made Elsa nervous and worried about something that was coming up very soon. "Is it out of the fjord at least?"
"Yes, it's out of the fjord. The second after I let loose a Nuclear Pulse, it fled back into the open ocean. Is something going on? I mean, I know you don't want those creatures, or any giant creatures for that matter, in your fjord, but you act like something big is gonna happen in it."
"Jason, my cousin, her husband, and some people from her kingdom are coming here for a vacation in about three or so days. I really don't want anything happening to them."
Knowing the importance of family, Jason nodded. "I promise I won't let anything happen to your cousin or her people. I'll check the fjord daily to make sure it or any others aren't around."
"Thank you," Elsa said, smiling warmly. "It'll make me feel much better." She started going back to work until she noticed Jason leaving. "And just where do you think you're going?" she asked, looking at him.
"Just going to check around the fjord," Jason said.
"Uh uh, you're helping me like you said."
"But..."
"Nope, no buts. I'm sure you scared away everything when you were battling those things, so get over here. You promised me, remember?" Elsa gave him the sweetest looking puppy dogs eyes.
Unable to resist her cute face, nor the fact that he did make her a promise, Jason walked back over and took a seat beside her. "You're just lucky you have a cute face."
Elsa laughed. "Well thank you, and you should be lucky that I'm not making you do anything else other than this." And with that, they began working.
For the next three days, Gigantis swam around the fjord searching for any other giant sea creatures lurking in its waters, but he didn't find anything. He came close to finding the giant octopus, but he only found its den. Lucky for it, it was out hunting in the open ocean when he stumbled upon it. Thinking it was just some natural crack in the seabed, Gigantis didn't think too much of it and went on his way. Finally, the day came when the vacationers from Corona sailed into the harbor on their ship.
The vessel looked like any other sea-fairing ship that was around in the 1880s. It was brown and long with a pointy bow, a single mast with two white triangle sails, one big and one small, in the front while on the back was a half trapezoid sail with a triangle sail overtop of it, creating the image of a full rectangular sail. The ship looked like it could hold thirty or so people on it, but the actual number of vacationers was only about twenty. Including Anna and Elsa's cousin and her husband, there were a couple of other couples from Corona, along with a family or two. All of them were eager to enjoy their two-week stay.
A woman who looked about twenty-two with short brown hair rushed onto the deck, dragging a man who was in his early thirties. The woman was wearing a rather nice purple dress with puffy, striped upper sleeves. She looked all around in wonder at the sight of Arendelle. Even though she had been there before during Elsa's coronation, she always found her cousin's kingdom very beautiful.
The woman's husband was a little hesitant to come back here. He had on very formal clothing that one would find a prince wearing when he and his princess leave for another kingdom. The reason he was worried was because the last time he came here, the entire kingdom was transformed into a winter wonderland, and he didn't want to go through that again.
"Oh, isn't it wonderful, Eugene? The place looks so beautiful in the spring," Rapunzel said while still looking at the view.
"Just as long as it doesn't go bipolar and transform into winter," Eugene retorted.
"I'm sure that won't happen this time. In the letters that Elsa has written me, she says that she has been getting her powers under control, and since she's family, I trust that she has."
"It's not that I don't trust her, I do, I mean, I trust her a lot, it's just that... I'm not a big fan of the cold. I do not like being in the cold, especially when it's supposed to be warm."
"Well, you better not bring it up or make any wisecracks about it." Rapunzel then turned to face him, giving him a playful smirk. "Or I'll lock you in their freezer."
"You don't even know if they have a freezer," Eugene said, rolling his eyes with a smile of amusement.
"Do you wanna find out?"
"...I won't say anything."
Rapunzel giggled. "Good." She returned to looking at the scenery. "I can't wait to meet Anna and Elsa's new friends, especially Jason. She talked about him in her letters more than she did the other two."
On the shores of Arendelle, nearly everyone in the kingdom was outside by the dock awaiting the arrival of their partner kingdom's vacationers. Since the kingdom had been closed off to guests from other kingdoms aside from trading ships for such a long time, everyone was excited about the fact that new faces and new friendships could begin once more. Standing at the very front of the crowd in a side-by-side order were Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Jason, Gzilla, Mephiles, Kai, Gerda, Sven, and Olaf. All of them were dressed up nicely with the exceptions of Sven, Gzilla, Mephiles, and Olaf.
Elsa had her crown on with her hair in her normal single braid and wore her Snow Queen gown like always, but it was slightly altered. Along with it having more snow sparkles on it, she had on fancy fingerless gloves that had snowflake patterning on them and covered her arms up to her elbows. Anna had on the dress she wore at Elsa's coronation and had her hair up in a bun. Kristoff was wearing a fancy outfit. Although he wasn't officially the Prince of Arendelle, he was dating Anna, so he had to at least look like he was one. Jason had on a rather nice looking tan flannel suit with matching dress pants.
Jason groaned quietly, tugging at the collar of his shirt. He really didn't like wearing these kinds of clothes due to the way they felt against his body. That, and it just really didn't feel like him. He was a 'T-shirt with a picture on it' kind of guy. "Ugh, I really hate dressing up nice. It doesn't feel like I'm me," he said to himself quietly.
Standing right next to him, Kristoff voiced his opinion on what he was wearing quietly. "Same here, but at least you aren't in this getup. It feels like it's a hundred degrees with this outfit on." The only reason Jason and Kristoff were wearing these fancy clothes was because Elsa and Anna managed to smooth talk them into it.
"Well I think you look nice in it," Anna said in a whisper, having heard what her boyfriend just said. "Ooh, they're almost here!" she shouted, clapping her hands together in excitement. "I can't wait to see Rapunzel again."
"Me neither," Elsa said. With everything so happy, she felt that nothing could go wrong today. Unfortunately, that was about to be proven wrong.
Lurking under the fjord in its den, the giant octopus began to stir. The feeling of hunger was nagging at it again, causing the creature to wake up and enter the world of constant pain once more. It seemed that every time it went to sleep, its internal pain would come back to full strength even after it kept using its new-found power to make it go away. Ignoring the pain as best as it could, the giant octopus began leaving its den.
Over the past three days, its appearance had changed quite significantly. Its body was covered in scales that changed its body from its natural color to gray, the horns above its eyes had grown some, but they still weren't all that big, and the suckers on its arms now had slightly larger spikes lining the inner area of them, but it was hard to tell. It had even grown larger! The cephalopod was now one hundred and twenty-seven feet tall and one hundred and forty-four feet long. Just as it was about to leave the area, it saw something out of the corner of its eye that caught its attention. Up near the surface some distance away was a ship.
Back when it used to be a regular octopus, it attacked ships at sea whenever it could, knowing that there were usually humans or their food aboard them that tasted quite nicely. Even though this ship was smaller than the ones it usually attacked, there was nothing else around for it to eat, so the giant octopus began moving across the seafloor slowly, both from its pain and the need to stealthily approach it. Once it reached a close enough distance, it launched into an attack. Springing off from the seafloor as quickly as it could, the giant octopus zoomed toward its target using its jet propulsion. The speed of its jet propulsion and its springboard tactic allowed it to reach its target in no time, but there was one thing it forgot about: its pain.
The pain that wracked the giant octopus' body was much more intense than anything it had felt in the past three days combined. It was so overwhelming that it actually caused the octopus to miss its mark completely and make a surprising entrance to the people on the ship as its massive body erupted from the deep. As the people on the boat and the people on Arendelle's shore screamed in terror, the giant octopus thrashed its arms around in pain. When it began smashing the water with its arms and unleashed its nuclear touch, the waves it generated began both smashing into the boat and pushing it to shore faster.
From the shore, Elsa watched this unfold in horror. Once she snapped out of it after a few moments, she turned to Jason. "I thought you said you didn't find anymore of those things!"
"I didn't! I don't know where this thing came from, but it sure as hell wasn't in the water any of the days I checked," Jason replied, starting to run toward the water. "Trust me, if I had seen something that big and ugly in the water, I would have definitely tangled with it." As he leaped off the dock and into the water, he morphed into Gigantis and dove under. This thing was much larger than the other octopi he's ever fought and it had a much different skin texture. With those horns above its eyes, it kind of looked like a demonic octopus. The further away from shore and the deeper he got into the fjord, the larger he grew, preparing himself for the upcoming fight against the Devilfish Octopus.
Rapunzel and Eugene were both thrown around the deck as waves kept smashing into the ship. People were scrambling to get below deck and away from the monster outside, but the royal couple were having a rather difficult time. Bracing himself as another wave hit the ship, this one nearly capsizing it, Eugene grabbed his love and shouted to her over the crashing waves. "Hang onto my leg and don't let go." When Rapunzel grabbed his leg and held on for dear life, Eugene began crawling his way to the doorway leading below deck. One of the men from below ran back up to help them, when the sound of the water's surface exploding upwards made everyone turn around in shock.
Rapunzel's mouth hung open in a mixture of sheer terror and amazement. Not more than several yards away from the ship was an enormous reptilian creature that sort of reminded her of Pascal, except this thing was extremely big, had razor-sharp plates running everywhere down its back, was apparently bipedal, and looked really mean.
Gigantis had to distract the Devilfish Octopus in order for the ship to safely reach shore. Glancing at the Corona ship before looking at the giant cephalopod, he noticed that it still didn't see him. The creature was still thrashing around in an unexplainable manner, but it seemed to be doing it with less force each time, so he had to make this quick. Charging up his Atomic Ray, Gigantis blasted the giant cephalopod with it, causing it to thrash in intense pain before diving into the water. Knowing he didn't have long before it pulled him under, Gigantis reached out for the ship with his hand and pushed it forward. Only seconds after he did that, he was pulled underwater. The strangest thing was that before he pushed the ship to safety, he could have sworn he heard someone shout "no" in a voice that sounded remarkably similar to Rapunzel's from the movie Tangled.
Still screaming with her eyes closed tightly, Rapunzel stopped after Eugene shook her a couple times. She opened her eyes and stopped. The boat was still in one piece and that everyone was still alive. "Heh," she said, still in a semi-state of shock. "We're... we're alive!" Rapunzel got up and jumped happily. "We're alive!"
"That giant thing saved us," Eugene said, giving her a tight hug.
After sharing a loving kiss with her husband, she looked out at the area of ocean where the water was churning madly.
Below the surface, the Devilfish Octopus was constricting its arms around Gigantis, unleashing its own nuclear pulse on him. It remembered the giant saurian. The one who caused it to enter this world of pain after devouring some of his flesh and blood. It would make the dinosaur pay dearly.
Gigantis was unable to release his nuclear pulse because the Devilfish's was causing him too much pain for him to concentrate. He tried using his Atomic Ray, but one of its arms unlatched itself from his body, ripping apart the flesh it was clinging onto in the process, and jammed itself into his mouth, covering it. Gigantis struggled to removed the tentacle, but realized that with his Atomic Ray's exit point being blocked, the energy will be forced out of his body via an involuntary nuclear pulse. After thanking God for his body's fail safe, he began charming more power to his Atomic Ray until the energy was channel throughout his body.
The erupting nuclear energy from Gigantis' body blasted the Devilfish Octopus off of the saurian's body. Not only was its scaly body badly burnt and in pain, but most, if not all, of its arms were either burned beyond recognition by the nuclear pulse's intense heat or blasted off its body. With its body ruined and having no way to defend itself, the giant cephalopod waited for Gigantis to deliver the killing blow.
Gigantis grabbed what remained of the Devilfish Octopus' body and stabbed his claws into it. As the creature lightly thrashed about, Gigantis began absorbing the nuclear energy that had been plaguing the creature's body before unleashing his Atomic Ray on it. After several blasts of his Atomic Ray, the remains of the Devilfish Octopus were barely recognizable and were burnt so badly that nothing would want to eat it. With his job done, Gigantis pushed his way through the water back up to the surface. Once his head and upper body broke through and the sky was above him once again, Gigantis let loose a loud roar of victory that got everyone on the shore cheering, aside from the Corona vacationers. They didn't really know what to think. Gigantis was glad to see that their boat had made it to the docks safely during his fight.
Rapunzel watched as the giant saurian began wading back to shore. Although the monster did save her and her people, she was still rather unsure of what its intentions were. "It's coming over here!" She hid behind Eugene and protectively clung onto him, her head peeking out from behind his shoulder.
"Don't be scared, that's Jason," Anna said to Rapunzel with a reassuring smile.
"THAT'S Jason?" Rapunzel asked. When Elsa said Jason was interesting in her letters, she wasn't expecting this kind of interesting.
"Sorta. Technically he's called Gigantis when he looks like that, but everyone just calls him by his real name," Anna explained. "You don't remember him? He was here last year like his friends were."
Rapunzel thought back to Elsa's coronation, the great freeze, and the great thaw. Then she remembered being with Eugene on their ship watching Gigantis battle that massive bird that showed up when everyone was returning home. "Now I remember! I guess I must have forgotten about him when we went home. It's been kinda busy there ever since we returned. I can't believe I actually forgot meeting something like that," she said with a laugh.
"Wait, why does he have two names?" Eugene asked.
"You'll see," Anna said.
Once Gigantis was only a few yards away from the dock, he began shrinking down to six feet and swam the rest of the way to the dock. Once he pulled himself out of the water and onto the wooden dock, he morphed back into his human form. This surprised many of the Coronaers, causing them to mumble among themselves as Jason came over.
"It's alright," Elsa told them. "Jason is our Official Protector, so you have nothing to fear from him, or his friends."
Before Jason got too close, Gzilla and Mephiles rushed over and began talking to him. Everyone thought it was to check on him and see how he was, but they were really telling him about who Elsa and Anna's cousins really were. Needless to say, Jason was rather surprised when he found out that apparently, Rapunzel, Eugene, and probably the rest of the Tangled characters and events also happened in this universe. He knew Rapunzel and Eugene made a cameo appearance in Frozen, but he would have never guessed that Rapunzel was actually related to Elsa and Anna.
After introductions were made between Elsa and Anna's friends and Rapunzel and Eugene, the vacation for the Coronaers truly began. Not much happened during their stay. Mainly, Jason, his friends, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven bonded with Punzel and Eugene, and generally got to know each other. Since there were now two different incidents involving giant octopi in the fjord, no one wanted to swim in there again despite the fact that now there really wasn't anything like that in the fjord. Also, Elsa didn't want Jason showing Rapunzel and Eugene all of his universe's technology since they wouldn't be able to use it or see it ever again once they returned to their kingdom, and thought that it'd be best if they never experienced it. Despite what some might call limitations, fun was still had and everyone had a great time. So much so that when the Coronaers' vacation time was over, no one wanted to leave. In the end, Jason and his friends made some new friends, Mephiles learned to steal food from his universe, and Gzilla didn't do anything.
The End
A/N: I hope you enjoyed this. Surprisingly, this felt like it took an eternity writing this. Anyways, there's one more chapter left before Bagan (yes, I didn't forget about him) makes his reappearance in this story. Stay tuned.
