Elizabeth woke up grumbling, rolling onto her back staring up at Riley's bright pink colored ceiling. She had designed it with various band stickers and old record sleeves covering it in a sort of collage. Betty smiled at the idea, she'd have to do that whenever she gets her own place.
With a sighed, she leaned up rubbing her face and under her eyes to make sure her mascara didn't leave her looking like a raccoon. Stretching her arms above her head she looked around the room noticing Donnie fast asleep in Riley's large, corduroy covered papasan chair. She smiled at the idea of him not leaving her all night and being gentlemen enough to not assume he could just hop in bed with her. He left himself to be uncomfortable instead, and he did looked completely uncomfortable.
She tried to get from the bed as quietly as she could without waking Donnie, knowing now he was some sort of skilled Ninja. She now understood his inability to be sneaked up on as many times as she tired. Also, whenever she dropped something or tripped he was right there so quickly to catch her or whatever she dropped in an instant. It all made sense.
Donatello smirked to the sound of the bed creaking under Betty's slight weight. He opened his eyes, to her stopping mid crawl towards him at the edge of the bed. She smiled back at him sitting on her heels, trying to smooth out her hair and crumbled dress.
"Good morning." His voice in the morning was amazing. It still had that dorky Donnie-ness to it but, it was smokey from lack of sleep. She cleared her throat trying to better her own voice from sleep.
"Morning." She squeaked out. "How'd you sleep?" She asked, tilting her head at him as he sat up, rubbing the side of his neck.
"Not very well..." He chuckled, turning his head from side to side letting it crack. She grimaced at the sound. "I've slept in worse places."
"I bet..." She said, biting her lip as he smiled at her, getting from his chair and sitting next to her on the bed.
"Hey..." Riley said, opening the door as she knocked. "I heard you guys up. Willow's making some breakfast you want some?" Mikey opened the door wider, putting his arm around Riley's shoulder.
"Can I have my bed back?" He asked as Riley rolled her eyes at him, elbowing him in his plastron.
"It's my bed numb nuts and no, they're still talking. C'mon my endless pit, let's get some pancakes in that cake hole." Riley chuckled, winking at Betty as she pushed Mikey back down towards the kitchen.
"So..." Donnie said, clearing his still husky tone. "You have some time to think about it?" He asked, nervously.
"Think about what?" She asked, confused.
"About us?"
"What about us?" She asked, shaking her head. "Don, I made it perfectly clear last night didn't I?" She asked, turning towards him as he nodded solemnly. "I want this. I wanna be with you."
"Yes, but are you positive? Maybe you should talk with Willow first. It's not just me being... Well, this. It's more, a lot more. I fight and I've... Killed people before..." Betty's eyed widened a little to the seriousness of where he was taking this conversation. She took a deep breath for a moment, taking Donnie's hands in her own.
"If it'll make you happy, to make sure that I am not going anywhere I will talk with Willow." She nodded as he left out a breath of relief.
"Thank you, it will make me feel a lot better." He said, taking another breath as she giggled.
"Have you been worrying about that all night?"
"Yeah." He said nervously as she smiled, leaned up and kissed his cheek.
"My nerdy boy." She cooed, nudging her nose against his green cheek for him to turn towards her. He did, willingly kissing her lips softly. It took him a moment for his mind to catch up with what his mouth and hands were doing. Betty wasn't seeming as thought she wanted to protest.
He grabbed her sides, putting some of his weight on her as she started to lay back against the mattress. She opened her mouth to his, feeling the warmness of his tongue slide slowly between her lips. She smirked at the new feeling of their kiss and wrapped her arms around the back of his head pulling his body tighter to her own.
Normally she would have felt the slight give of his hardened chest against hers as they kissed softly and shyly laying on her dorm room bed. This time his chest was hard and unmoving. She felt her breasts flatten under him as he pushed her down against the mattress. It wasn't an uncomfortable feeling, it was more of a safe feeling. The weight of his body on her made her feel safe, as if nothing could move him from her body even if he was forced.
Pulling back in a pant he braced his hands on either side of her head, looking down at her perfect, beautifully flushed faced. She sighed happily, looking over at his large green forearms caging her against the bed in a safe little cocoon. She was just so utterly content laying there staring at the green, turtle face that she was beginning to become just as happy to see as his human face. As long as it was her Donnie, she really didn't care.
"That was new." She said in a pant of her own and a coy chuckled.
"Yeah, sorry..." He sighed, leaning back from her but, she kept her arms exactly where they were. He still sat up, bringing the weight of her body up easily as she sat on his lap with a laugh.
"I wasn't complaining." She shrugged.
"So..." Raphael said, lifting up his ventilation mask as he and Donnie gutted the new Dojo. There was sheet rock and crumbled concrete all around them from previously breaking down a entire wall. Leonardo and Michelangelo were out with Casey, Usagi and Hayden to get more supplies they needed to finish the blue print that Donatello had been working on with Leo.
"So what?" Don asked, moving his mask from his face and breathing a little heavy as he put his large slug hammer down.
"How'd the talk go?"
"Oh..." He chuckled with a shrug, putting the mask back over his mouth. "Good. Very good." He said, slightly muffled. Raph nodded, pulling his mask back up as well.
"Good."
"We're going out still." He said, swinging the hammer at a large wooden beam, grunting from his strength.
"Well, I would hope so." Raph said with a chuckle, swigging his own hammer.
"Yeah."
"You do it yet?"
"What?" Donnie said, swigging the hammer and throwing it across the room. Raph laughed as it bounced loudly against the concrete. Donnie sighed, going over to the hammer and picking it back up, moving his mask up to his forehead, pushing his long brown hair back from his sweat covered face.
"You do it? Ya know, sex?" Raph chuckled as Donnie rolled his eyes.
"No. Also, if I had I wouldn't tell you."
"Why? I'm your older brother, I can give you some pointers." He chuckled as Donnie shook his head, groaning under his breath.
"I'm OK."
"You sure? I mean, you just threw a slug hammer across the room?" Raph laughed, gesturing to where the hammer just fell.
"Trust me, Leo already... Filled me in." He shrugged as Raph rolled his eyes.
"Well, Leo don't know everythin'. OK?" Raph chuckled, going to the cooler that was filled with bottles of water. He opened one, tossing another to Donnie.
"I know that..." Don said, taking a swig. "It's just easy to talk with him."
"And not with me?"
"Well, you're not exactly the most open person." Donnie said as Raph nodded.
"What you call it once, uh... Abrasive?" He chuckled as Donnie nodded smiling.
"Yeah, you are. Leo has more of a welcoming persona. Not that I couldn't ever go to you, I know if I needed to you'd talk to me but I just..."
"Don, it's OK." Raph chuckled putting his bottle down. "I understand. Mikey 'n I have a closer relationship than you 'n I, just like you 'n Leo have a close relationship. I find it easier to talk with Mike." He shrugged. "Not that we talk about deep shit or anythin'... But, it's just easier."
"Yeah, exactly. How uh... How'd you um, the first time... With Felicia?"
"Felicia wasn't my first time." Raph shrugged.
"Oh..."
"Yeah, um... Meredith that chick from the coffee place we got Felicia and Will from a couple weeks ago. That was uh... My first... Whateva that was."
"Huh. I never knew that."
"Never really thought to tell anyone while it was happenin'. Just kinda did one day after I saved her 'n I gave her my number on the Shell Cell if she ever needed anythin' 'n... It... Escalated to somethin' whateva it was..."
"Does Felicia know?"
"Yeah, yeah course she knows." He smirked, picking up his hammer and spinning it on it's head.
"You guys get along very well. Have you um... Said the big one yet?" Donnie chuckled, leaning his shoulder against one of the main beams.
"What, like I love you?"
"Yeah."
"No... Hell no. Not yet." Raph said shaking his head.
"Why? You obviously do."
"Yeah, but... It's a little more complicated than that."
"How so?"
"Well, for starters... She hasn't said it yet, or really came across like... I don't know. How do you even say somethin' like that to someone?"
"You just tell them how you feel." Donnie shrugged. Raph scoffed at the idea shaking his head before rubbing the back of it with his hand, having dust billow up from his short hair.
"Yeah. I have no problem with that." Raph said rolling his eyes. "I just don't think we're there yet... I don't even know if I could...Again... I mean, from before..." He sighed shaking his head again. "Can we change the subject back on you gettin' laid?" Donnie laughed nodding his head and putting his mask back over his nose and mouth as Raph followed suit.
"Sure."
"You've been shot with an arrow?!" Betty nearly yelled as Willow nodded, pouring another glass of wine for herself and Betty. "How... I mean well, like what were you doing?"
"Being stupid." Willow shrugged with a laugh. "I went out with Raph one night thinking I could keep up with him and Casey since Leo was training me to fight and it failed miserably. It was my own fault and Leo made sure of letting me know that after the fact." She said with a laugh, remembering that night and how furious and worried Leonardo was when she came home in Raphael's arms.
"You went out with Raph and Casey?" Felicia asked, sipping on her wine.
"Yeah..." She shrugged.
"Have you since?" Riley added.
"No, God no. Leo wouldn't let me first off and second I have no idea how to fight now. Well, I can a little but, not enough to keep up with any of them."
"So, they're really good?" Betty asked as Willow nodded.
"Yeah. They're amazing. They've been training since they were able to walk by their Father."
"Splinter right? The um... Rat?" Betty asked unsure as Willow smirked with a nod. "That is amazing..." Betty sighed, sipping her wine.
"It is but, you understand what you're getting into right?" Willow asked, taking a more serious tone as she looked at Betty. She needed to make sure for Donnie's sake and her own that Betty knew. She had to know that this wasn't going to be a normal relationship with Donnie. It was harder, much harder and scarier. "I mean this isn't a run of the mill relationship. This is serious stuff. You always need to be aware when going out with him that there could be someone watching you. You just being seen with them once makes you a target."
"Oh..." Betty sighed softly, thinking of all the walks they've shared around the city. "Not in the daylight though, right?"
"Even in daylight. I was pulled into an alleyway not too long ago by a Foot because they're looking for the guys still."
"Jesus..." Riley hissed, thinking about all the evenings spent on Willow's rooftop with all of the brother's as they're normal turtle selves sharing a wonderfully calm night. There could have been Foot watching them then and she would have never known.
"You're OK right?" Felicia asked, looking Willow over quickly as Willow rolled her eyes.
"Just a small bruise on my face..." She shrugged. "It's not the point, my point is that these people have killed before and they will again. Not just the Foot either. I'm talking about the guys too. They've killed people. I've seen blood on their bodies, I've seen Leo cleaning his katana that literally had been caked on with blood. It's not something to take lightly and it's not something that you should not be thinking of. I think about it everyday." Willow sighed, closing her eyes to the image of Raphael's hands with bloody knuckles and Leo's scabbard dripping dark red, leaving a trail on the lair's concrete floor.
"I think I am beginning to understand." Betty said softly, her thumb nail at her lips. "I mean, it all seems really..."
"Scary..." Felicia breathed out, taking a large gulp of her wine.
"Yeah... I never really thought of all that." Riley added. "I mean I know they went on patrols now and again and every time they came back Mikey always seemed so happy and worry free but, they were going out to look for crime... They were looking for it."
"How can they think they can protect a whole city?" Betty murmured to herself.
"...Since the planning of the wedding, them moving up here to the surface and living with them, seeing how normal Leo and Mikey are... You kinda forget that, they've killed people..." Riley sat back in her chair letting everything slowly seep in with Betty as she sat next to her.
"They could be killed themselves." Felicia added, staring ahead of her with a blank expression.
"Killed..." Betty repeated as Willow looked around at all their faces.
"Jesus Christ, you two never thought of this?" She exclaimed, breaking all the girls out of their own haunting thoughts.
"Well, no not really..." Felicia shrugged. "It's like what Riley said, you just think of them as normal aside from being what they are. You forget the Ninja aspect. They're Ninjas! I mean, Raphael has Sais! They're illegal in a lot a states!" Riley nodded at Felicia's statement.
"Nunchucks too! Mikey uses those all the time. He's like a..."
"Like a Ninja with them?" Willow added dryly. "I can't believe you never thought of this. You do realize they came up to the surface because the Foot Clan is following them correct? I mean I thought at least you would Fee." She sighed, shaking her head.
"Well, it's not like I'm going to do anything." Felicia defended rolling her eyes as she got from the table to grab another bottle of wine. "I love Raph." She shrugged.
Felicia stopped for a second, furrowing her brow before turning to look at Willow, was making sure she actually said what she just said out loud. Willow's face was a mixture of shocked and happiness with a tad bit of almost, worry. So, Felicia knew she did in fact say what she said out loud.
"What..." Riley asked surprised, sitting straight up in her chair.
"I-I think I might... Love him? Oh my..." Felicia placed the bottle of wine down on the table, staring straight ahead and walking into the living room. She looked down to the streets below from Willow's large bay window, turning back to the girls in the kitchen and started to pace back and forth.
"Oh Jesus..." Riley sighed with a smile. "She's gone."
"What's that mean?" Betty asked.
"Remember when she realized in high school that that dork guy had a huge crush on her in band? He was like a grade ahead of you?" Riley asked as Betty nodded then a large smile came over her face.
"She's gonna freak out."
"Yeah, times a thousand." Willow nodded, getting from the table bringing Felicia's half full glass of wine with her. "Felicia..." Willow said softly, snapping her out of a self rant. Felicia looked up at Willow and snatched the glass of wine from her hand, downing it quickly.
"How can I just blurt something like that out?" She asked as Willow chuckled.
"It happens. I did pretty much the same thing with Leo." She shrugged.
"Oh, my God... What if we get married? How the hell would I be able to tell my family?! They would never be as accepting as Maggie and Paul!"
"Raph doesn't seem like the marrying type." Willow shrugged.
"... I'm never getting married." Felicia sighed, her eyes starting out again with a blank expression as Willow shook her head, looking up at Riley for help.
"OK Fee, let's just tackle one thing at a time, huh?" Riley said softly, putting her hands on Felicia's shoulders. Felicia tried to take a couple deep breaths in and out and failed miserably, feeling like she was about to have a panic attack instead. Snatching the bottle of wine from Betty's hand that she brought with her from the kitchen Felicia filled her glass with it, drinking the whole glass down again quickly.
"Felicia, you love Raphael?" Willow asked as Felicia's looked up at her. She nodded slowly, tears starting to fill her eyes as Willow smiled, opening her arms for her smaller friend. Felicia stepped between them as they hugged tightly.
"I love Raph." She sniffed into Willow's neck.
"That's a good thing isn't it?"
"Yes. I don't know how I could not. I mean..." She sniffed again, pulling back from Willow's arms. "He's amazing. He's everything." She shrugged as Willow smiled.
"That's how I feel about Leo."
"When are you going to tell him?" Riley asked, as Betty handed Felicia some tissues. Felicia took them, wiping her face from tears, looking at Riley confused.
"Tell him?" Felicia asked as Willow laughed.
"You have to tell him you love him." She shrugged as Felicia shook her head.
"No, no, no. I can't do that." She said, sitting down on Willow's couch as Riley and Willow sat on either side of her, Betty on the coffee table's edge in front of them.
"Why not?" Betty asked as Felicia smiled at her kindly.
"Oh honey, you don't know Raph very well." She chuckled as Betty furrowed her brow. "He's not exactly going to take this well."
"Hey!" Isabella yelled out as she entered Willow's apartment, holding two pizza boxes in her arms. "So, I put the down payments on the rooms at the hotel and let me tell you there were none to pleased about me asking for four king sized beds. You are very lucky I love you Willow Marie otherwise I would have told you and those brother's to shove it. Anyways... They're all set for us to check in tomorrow night and hair and makeup will be at the bridal suite bright and early on Friday." She smiled, pouring herself a glass of wine as she fluttered around the kitchen. She looked up towards the girls all in the living room, box of tissues in her sister's hand finally realizing all the girls were huddled together in conversation. She tilted her head at them, crossing her free arm over her chest. "What happened now?" She sighed as Willow smirked a little.
"Felicia loves Raph."
"That's all? Jesus...I thought something horrible happened." Izzy sighed in relief as Felicia rolled her eyes.
"I just realized it." She sighed as Izzy snorted out a laugh.
"Really? I knew it that night you went off on me." She chuckled as Felicia groaned, sitting back on Willow's couch.
"This is bad. It's so ridiculously bad. He can't possible take this anyway but bad. He's going to freak on me. He's not going to listen to anything I have to say..." She sighed, shaking her head.
"How could he not take you loving him in a good way?" Willow asked softly from beside her. "He most likely feels the same way about you."
"He could... But, his track record with that word isn't exactly good." Felicia groaned, putting her hands over her face.
"No, but you can make it better." Riley shrugged as Felicia sighed.
"Or scare him beyond belief."
"He's a ninja!" Betty exclaimed. "Nothing scares ninjas!"
"I think you need to tell him." Willow shrugged as Felicia shook her head, getting up from the couch and started to pace again.
"I'll think about it..."
"I'm sure you will." Riley chuckled. "And write a pro and con list." She added.
"Whatever." Felicia said, rolling her eyes.
"You want me to get you a piece of paper?" Izzy asked, completely serious as she looked for one at Willow's computer desk.
"No..." Felicia grumbled before rolling her eyes. "Yes." She sighed putting her hand out as Izzy placed a pen and paper on it. Felicia took her spot back down between Riley and Willow on the couch. Betty scooted over for her to write on the table.
"So number one should be that he's a turtle." Izzy shrugged, taking a seat next to the couch in Willow's arm chair. Willow glared past Felicia over at Izzy. "What?" She asked as Willow rolled her eyes.
"No it shouldn't. Does it matter to you that he's a turtle?" Willow asked as Felicia started down at the word she had already written. It nearly screamed at her to scratch it out but she kept it writing a number two below it. Willow sighed and shrugged. "OK... So, what's number two?"
"How can we get married?" Felicia asked to herself but, out loud writing 'not the marrying type' copying Willow's words from earlier in the number two spot under cons.
"Leo and I are getting married?" Willow shrugged as Felicia sighed, sitting back against the couch.
"This is ridiculous." She groaned.
"Write some pros." Betty suggested. "What you love about him."
"Everything..." Felicia said with a sigh.
"Then why is there even a list?" Betty asked with a chuckle. "There shouldn't be one."
"No, no. Let me write this out." Felicia argued, sitting back up on the couch and grabbing the pen writing a number one under pros. "He makes me feel safe." She said out loud, writing it under number one.
"That's a good thing." Willow nodded.
"I've never seen you more alive than when you're with him." Riley added with a shrug, reminding herself of how she felt with Michelangelo. Felicia nodded adding 'feeling alive' under number two.
"He's beautiful as a human." Izzy chuckled as everyone turned towards her with glaring eyes. "What? I was just suggesting like everyone else." She sighed, getting from the couch to grab some pizza.
"I can't help but think about him, all the time." Felicia added, writing number three. Betty smiled nodding her head as she thought about Donnie.
"Yeah... They do kinda take over your mind set don't they?" She asked, looking around at Riley and Willow as they both nodded.
"He's..." Felicia said writing a number four and thinking for a moment. "Everything..." She sighed, rolling her eyes and putting the pen down. "He's just... I can't even think of anymore. It's just Raph. He's Raph... I can't think of a life without him. He's more important to me than marriage even if he never wanted to or did want to. He's more important to me than all of that. I just need him."
"Well, that's obviously number five." Riley chuckled. Felicia smiled as she wrote 'I just need him' on the number five for pros. Looking back at the cons list she rolled her eyes at 'turtle' and 'not the marrying type'. It was so ridiculous. She took the paper and folded it in her bag.
"So, what about the beds?" Willow said turning towards Izzy as she took a bite of her pizza.
Riley stared at Michelangelo with a musing expression as he sat in front of her at a restaurant he said he's been dying to try since he's been human. Leonardo had been working him day in and day out at the Dojo to keep everyone's minds off the wedding that was approaching a lot faster than Leo had expected. Willow explained to all the brother's that their part with the wedding was done. They have their suits, Leo gave her the ring now all they need to do is show up for rehearsal and the wedding and that's it. Leo was relieved but, was harping on all the brother's to help him at least get the Dojo gutted before the wedding.
Mikey looked up at Riley from across the wooden table, tilting his head to the side in question at her expression. She'd been very quiet all night and he was beginning to worry. He couldn't remember saying anything to her that would have upset her? He tried to rack his brain since they sat down, but nothing.
"What?" He finally asked, taking a sip of his soda.
"Nothing." She shrugged, going back to her plate of food, rolling around a piece of chicken before looking back up at him. He was in his human form, obviously and she was getting less and less used to seeing him as this than a turtle. She was beginning to love him as a turtle. She couldn't wait to see his handsome green face with the slight dusting of freckles and a pair of crystal blue eyes set against it. Now, looking at him she knew he was still very handsome but, it wasn't all that kept her in the relationship. Not like when she first started to like him.
After their talk months ago about him and his past she was beginning to understand him as just Michelangelo. Not some hot blonde with killer abs. She knew him inside and out and she was beyond grateful that he let her in the way he did. She never knew he could be so deep, it was Mikey for God sake. Smiling to herself she went back to her food taking a bite and thinking of what Willow had said earlier.
"They've killed people..." "I can't believe you didn't think of this..."
Willow's shocked voice echoed in her head as a chill ran up her spine. Riley looked back up at Mikey, studying his face. She noticed little scars around his neck and one slight mark on his cheek bone. She tilted her head to see if she noticed anything new on his arms that were exposed from the short sleeves white shirt he was wearing but, saw nothing she wasn't already familiar with. She knew he had scars, she's seen them. So, why was it so confusing to her to know that he could fight, and did fight and... Killed.
"OK, what's up with you?" Mikey asked, breaking Riley out of her serious examination of his body.
"You've killed people?" She whispered, leaning over the table towards him. Mikey choked on his bite of food, grabbing a napkin as he coughed into it.
"What?" He asked, taking a large gulp of soda, ignoring his straw.
"Willow talked to Betty today about dating... You guys."
"OK..." Mikey dragged out slowly, clearing his throat. "I-I don't get where this is going?"
"Willow told us about... The arrow thing." She whispered again as Mikey nodded.
"That was years ago?" Mikey asked, shaking his head. "I still don't understand why you asked if I... Killed people." He whispered, looking around the restaurant. Riley sighed, taking out her wallet and placing a couple of bills on the table.
"Come with me." She said, getting from the table and leaving the restaurant. Mikey looked up at her confused, getting slowly from the table with a groan and following her out of the restaurant. He found her outside under a street lamp, her foot tapping on the pavement and arms crossed over her chest.
"You're upset." He stated as she rolled her eyes with a huff.
"Ya think?"
"You knew I was a... Ninja." He said, leaning towards her with a whisper. He took her arm and looked up and down the street before crossing it with her trailing behind him. Leading her down an alleyway, he let go of her arm and walked a little ways into it himself before running a hand over his blonde head. He turned towards her looking around the darkened space and up at the fire escapes above them. "I don't get where this is coming from?" He asked, stepping closer towards her as she shrugged.
"I don't know, I'm just... Have you killed people Mikey?"
"Yes." He answered, plainly crossing his arms over his chest. "Many."
"How many?" She asked her voice lowering slowly.
"Too many." He answered, his face still straight and serious. She never knew her Mikey to have this expression. He was always so happy with bright eyes and smiling face. This face was new, and straight and almost scary...She could see the killer in him coming to the surface. The face he needed to have when in a fight. He couldn't be happy-go-lucky Mikey. He needed to be Michelangelo, serious and in control.
Seeing him this way with a straight serious face, perfect posture, strong lean body... She could see him as himself, a turtle fighting with his strong, long green arms and gripping his weapon like it was an appendage. Kicking and punching through men along with his brother's by his side. In her head of course it played out like a movie, she knew in real life it was to look a lot more horrific and a lot less romantic. But, even so, she couldn't figure out why she liked it.
"Oh..." She sighed.
"Anything else?" He asked as she looked up at him with a glare.
"You go out with Leo, Raph and Don to find crime in the city?"
"Yes. We help. Keep your voice down." He hissed, looking up towards the buildings that surrounded them.
"What happens..." She started to say as he shushed her, holding his hand up. His lean, graceful neck still looking up towards the roof tops above. He went over to a fire escapes, pulling the ladder down easily with his weight and climbing up it quickly. She watched him in awe as he leaped up another fire escape, finally reaching the roof top. He jumped down, landing on a platform, before dropping down in front of her.
"What were you saying?" He asked, nonchalant as if he had been standing before her all along. Her mouth opened and closed from shock as she looked from where he went to where he was now, in front of her. He climbed a building in a couple minuets, not even, a couple seconds. Half a minuet? She couldn't fathom what just happened and it happened right in front of her. He was amazing...
"Uh...What if you can't help, what happens when something goes wrong or..." She breathed unsteadily as he moved his hair from his face.
"I get killed?" He finished for her as she nodded. "I try not to think about it." He shrugged as she sighed and shook her head, looking down at her shoes.
"That's all I can think about." She sighed, wrapping her arms around herself.
"I'm not going anywhere." Mikey said, his voice closer than before. She rose her eyes to his blue ones staring back at her. His body pressed tightly to hers, unwrapping her arms from around her body and putting his long arms around her waist.
"You can't know that." She said softly, looking over his freckled face. Seeing small scars she's never noticed before. He had one on the edge of his nose and another down his jaw. They were slight and a light pink from being years old.
"You're right, I can't. But, what I do know is that I am good at what I do. Real good." He said with a smirk as she felt her body erupt in goosebumps. "I have my brother's to back me up if we get into trouble."
"Have you gone out... On patrol since we've been... Together?" She asked softly as he shook his head.
"No. But, you've seen me have a bad night on patrol." He said, confused.
"Yeah... But, it was different."
"How so? You knew I was a turtle, you saw me hurt because I went out on patrol and got into a fight... What's the difference?"
"I love you now for one and I don't think I could handle seeing that again, or worse. You getting hurt worse than that night. That night was awful... I can't even..." He kissed her hard on her mouth, pulling her body tightly to his lifting her feet from off the ground. Pulling back slowly, his face was nothing but a large smile. "What? Why are you smiling?" She asked, glaring at him as he laughed.
"You don't know what you just said do you?" He asked as she furrowed her brow, trying to think what she could have just said. Her eyes grew wide as she looked back up at Mikey's smiling face. Her mouth opened and she put her hands on his chest, giving herself some room from his warm touch so she could think clearly.
"I-I can't believe..." She sighed, raising her hand to her mouth. "Felicia freaked out about this earlier and now I... What the hell." She said, turning her back to Mikey as he furrowed his brow.
"Did you not mean it?" He asked, worried as Riley turned back to him quickly shaking her head.
"No, no... I think... I did mean it Mikey." She said, tears welling up in her eyes. She looked down at her shoes again shaking her head and raising her hands to her face, covering it. "I can't believe that I just said that. Oh my God." She chuckled, starting to laugh full out now. "I love you." She said, snorting out a laugh. Mikey watched her amused and walked to her, wrapping his arms around her waist.
"I love you Riley." He said, letting out a long breath. "I haven't said that in awhile."
"Me either." Riley laughed.
Betty stood outside Casey and April's apartment, turning her phone around in her hand as she looked up and down the sidewalks for a tall moppy head of hair.
"Hey." She heard from behind her making her jump. She turned quickly to the familiar, beautiful hazel eyes she was starting to get used to seeing wrapped around an olive green. This time however they were wrapped around perfectly tanned skin.
"Hi." She breathed, placing her hand to her chest. "You scared me." She chuckled as he smirked.
"Ninja." He shrugged as she nodded.
"I've heard."
"Yeah..." He said softly, clearing his throat. "How'd uh, how'd that go today."
"Good." She smiled, leaning up to his dust covered cheek and giving him a kiss. "Very good. I'm still here." She said opening her arms to the side as Donnie nodded with a laugh.
"You don't know how grateful I am for that."
"C'mon, let's get you cleaned up and we'll talk." She said, nodding her head towards his temporary apartment.
They both entered April and Casey's apartment to it being empty. Donnie smirked a little, going over to April's window and shutting the blinds. Betty furrowed her brow to his action and he shrugged.
"It's gonna wear off soon." He said as she nodded. "I'll be right back." He muttered, rushing towards the bathroom and closing the door with a soft click.
Betty sighed, going into April's kitchen and taking a seat at her antique, round kitchen table. Betty smiled at the painting in the middle of some grapes that were clearly worn from years of having bowls and cups scrap against it. Donnie came out of the bathroom only a few moments later and smiled at her meekly in his normal form.
"Hey." He said, clearing his throat and taking a seat.
"Hi." She smiled, putting her hand out for him as he took it. She ran her fingers slowly over the calloused bumps over his palm. "What's this from?"
"Years of using wood as a weapon." He shrugged. She nodded, tracing the hardened bumps with her index finger.
"What kind of weapon was it again?" She asked, trying to remember the hazy talk they shared last night. It was over baring and a lot to take in so, she tried to focus on the important things.
"Bo staff." He said as she looked up at him, meeting his hazel eyes. She smiled at their familiarity and warm feeling she got every time he looked at her. Like, she was the only girl he's ever seen before.
"Bo staff fits you." She smiled.
"How so?"
"I don't know... You don't seem as though you'd use a sword..."
"Katana."
"Or those trident thingies..."
"Sais."
"Yeah that..." She chuckled. "Would you show me?"
"Show you? My Bo staff?" He questioned as she nodded. "Uh, yeah...Hold on." He said, getting from the table and heading up April's small staircase to the upper level of her apartment where the guestroom was.
He stepped into his room, looking at the window where he kept his Bo Staff as it sat, leaned against the windowsill. He grabbed it, twisting it quickly in his hands turned towards the door way to Betty standing there watching him.
"Wow..." She sighed, stepping into his room. He felt heat rush all over his body as she looked over all his notebooks, sitting on the edge of his bed.
"It's um... A little bit of a mess." He stammered as she smiled, looking over to him and nodding.
"You're a pig." She chuckled as he did too, sitting next to her on his bed. He placed his Bo staff on his lap as she turned to him, letting her hand run over the smooth wood. "This is impressive." She said, looking up at him from under her lashes. Heat rushed over his body once more.
A knock against his door frame broke them both out of their gaze towards each other. Betty's eyes widened slightly as Splinter stood in Donnie's doorway.
"Who is your friend Donatello?" Splinter asked as Betty opened her mouth to talk but, closed it quickly before any noise other than a 'hello' came out. She didn't want her first impression on Donnie's 'father' to be a scream.
Donnie smiled at her, taking her hand and walking her over to Splinter. He bowed towards her as she look to Donnie and he nodded at her to do the same.
"This is Elizabeth Master. She's my... Um, girlfriend." He sighed happily as she smirked, looking up at him, forgetting completely about the large rat in front of her.
"A pleasure to meet you Miss Elizabeth." Splinter said, taking Betty's hand from Donnie's and holding it in his own.
"Pleasure is all mine...Um..." She furrowed her brow looking to Donnie as he smiled.
"You may call me Splinter." He said bowing his head.
"Pleasure is all mine Master Splinter." She said, bowing her head.
"She has a good heart Donatello. You need to keep her like Leonardo has with Willow." He nodded.
"Are you coming to the wedding tomorrow Master Splinter?" Betty asked, putting her arm under his as she walked him down the steps. Donnie arched an eye ridge, watching her take to his master so easily. Willow even had some trouble getting used to seeing Splinter's form.
"I am, yes my Child. Donatello has been telling us all that you are in a band that is to perform for my son and Willow?" He asked as she lead him to the kitchen, taking a seat next to him.
"Yes. I am with Riley, Tyler, Hayden and some of my band mates. Felicia has been working on the lighting." She said, excited to talk about something she knew about.
"I am very interested to see, or I suppose hear this music."
"I hope it is going to be alright..." She chuckled, looking up at Donnie as he put on a pot of tea.
"Would you like some tea?" Donnie asked, leaning towards Betty as she made a face shaking her head. "I'm making coffee too." he chuckled as her face perked up with a nod.
"How um... If you don't mind me asking Master Splinter, but how will you be able to attend the wedding?" Betty asked, cautiously as Splinter smiled.
"This was not my natural appearance a time ago my child. I once was a young man, human man. Donatello's serum he had created gives me a chance to see that young man again, however now much older." He said, taking the tea Donnie set in from of him and sipping it.
"That must have been... Hard for you." Betty said softly, reaching across the table and taking Splinter's furry paw. He smiled down at it, nodding.
"Feelings I experienced cannot be put into words, that is true. You are very old beyond your years my child. Very much like my Donatello." Splinter smiled. "Please, do not let an old man intervene on your evening. I will return to my room." He said getting from the table, taking his tea.
"No, please don't leave on our account." Betty augured as Splinter smiled, placing a furry paw on Betty's head.
"You're a very sweet my dear. But, I know that you and Donatello have much to discuss. Take into consideration my dear that his heart is pure and his skills are vast." He said as his nose twitched and his face broke into a smile. "You are meant to be with my Donatello much like Leonardo is meant for Willow. But, that is something you need to figure out on your own." Betty smiled up at him nodding her head and turning back towards Donnie who's face was deep pink on his cheeks.
"I am beginning to." Betty said with a smile as Splinter nodded, turning to climb the stairs to his room. "He's sweet. I now know why you guys are so gentlemanly."
"Well, you don't have to listen to that you know..." Donnie sighed taking a seat next to her at April's table. "Let's just focus for now on that fact that you are OK with me being what I am." He sighed as Betty chuckled a little.
"I am very much OK with it Donnie. All of it. Not just, this..." She said motioning towards his body. "But, being a Ninja. Killing or whatever it is you do I know you don't do it out of hate. You don't have a hateful bone in your body."
"You really are amazing..." Donnie sighed, taking Betty's hand into his own. She smiled at him, leaning across the table giving his mouth a soft kiss.
"I try."
Felicia typed on her laptop, ear buds in her ears as she listened to some calming music. The conversation earlier with Willow left her feeling anxious and needing to figure a lot of things out. She kept checking her phone to make sure she had more than enough time before Raphael came home. They both had been busy lately, her helping with the finishing touches on the wedding and him with tearing down the Dojo with his brothers.
She looked over her shoulder towards her door as she clicked the internet to where she already had a wikiapedia page open, trying to figure out what exactly being a Ninja entailed. So far, it seemed very intense. No wonder Raphael was so intense and Leo...
She leaned in closer to the screen, adjusting her thick rimmed glasses as she scrolled through various weapons and fighting positions, clicking on quick links. Shaking her head to herself, she sighed leaning back against her couch. She felt it give a little in the back and turned quickly, ripping her ear buds from her ears and grabbing a pillow as a weapon. She held it above her head to strike and saw Raphael, chuckling with his arms crossed over his broad chest.
"Hey babe." Raph smirked, jumping easily over the back of the couch in front of her as she tried to calm her breathing.
"I didn't hear you come in. You're early..." She said, looking towards her clock on the wall as he shrugged.
"Not a whole lot we could do til after the wedding." He said, tilting his head at the page that was still opened. "What's this?" He asked pointing to the screen. She bit her bottom lip and shrugged.
"I was uh... Studying." She said sitting next him slowly, going to close her laptop and he stopped her. He took her mouse, scrolling through a few pages, chuckling to himself.
"You could have just asked me." He said, looking at her out of the corner of his eye. "I'll tell you anythin' you wanna know."
"Have you... Killed people..." She said slowly and he nodded, looking towards the screen and scrolling. "A lot?"
"How many is a lot?" He asked, turning towards her.
"A hundred?" She shrugged as he smirked.
"Give or take." He said. "I need a beer for this." He sighed, getting up and going into her fridge. He grabbed two, one for her and opened them both, putting the one for her on a stack of notebook papers beside her laptop in front of her.
"You've um... You've trained in all of this?" She asked, gesturing towards the website page. He nodded, taking a swig of his beer. "Have you gotten hurt?" He nodded again. She looked towards all his scars on his arms not covered by the ratty baseball tee Casey had given him that was covered in dust, dirt and sweat from working on the Dojo. Of course he's gotten hurt. She's seen all the marks on his shell and arms even without knowing about all the violence he's seen.
She was being stupid, and blind. She knew he could fight, she knew all of this about him so, why for the past couple of months has she not thought about it? Out of sight out of mind? Just because he's not patrolling right now and is staying with her doesn't mean he's always going to. There will be some nights she'll be up wondering why he hasn't come home, wondering if he's dead.
"Why you askin' 'bout all this?" He asked, taking another swig of his beer, breaking her out of her painful thoughts.
"Willow told us about the arrow incident." She said, taking a long pull of her own beer.
"That was years ago?" He said shaking his head. "Why'd she bring that up?"
"She was telling Betty about how... Dangerous it can be to be in a relationship with you." She sighed, as he nodded.
"I thought ya knew that?" He sighed shaking his head.
"I wasn't fully aware of all of it." She shrugged. "Not that it matters." She said, looking at him as he nodded.
"It doesn't?" He scoffed, finishing off his beer and getting up to grab another.
"Well, no not really." She said, grabbing her beer and following him to the kitchen. She wasn't aware of a piece of paper her beer was on top of falling to the floor. "I know to be careful, and after the wedding you'll go with the guys and search for that... Foot Clan?" She questioned as he sighed, nodding his head and leaning back against her counter.
"You know..." He stepped closer to her, putting his beer down and wrapping his arms around her waist. "I'm always going to protect you."
"If I know anything about you Raph, it's that I know you'll always protect me." She smirked as he did back, pressing his body tight to her own and leaning to her lips. "I'm gonna order pizza." She breathed against his lips as he sighed, pressing his forehead to hers and nodding.
"I guess I need to eat for what I have planned for you." He smirked, grabbing his new beer and heading for the couch. She smiled, taking her cell phone from off the counter and dialed a near by pizza parlor.
Raphael sat on the couch, looking at the Ninja technique explanation and snorting out a laugh before he closed the laptop. In that swift motion a piece of yellow legal note paper fell to the floor on top of the other piece of paper. He picked them both up, turning them over and seeing a paper for Felicia's class and another with her hand writing on it. On the top read 'Pro and Cons'.
"Pizza will be here in ten." She smiled, sitting next to him and curling her legs beside her. "What's that?" She asked, looking at it before gasping and reaching for it. Raph got to his feet, snatching it quickly out of her reach.
"What the fuck is this?" He asked, reading the small list over once more, focusing entirely on the cons.
"It's something stupid that I was just concerned about earlier at Willow's... It's dumb." She said, getting to her feet as well, trying once more to grab the paper from him. He held it out to the side, glaring at her.
"Turtle." He said, turning the page over for her to see. She grimaced at the word coming from his mouth. "That's number one under con." He chuckled darkly. "Not the marrying type, number two." He shrugged. "Couldn't think of any other reason why you can't be with me huh? I guess now you can add killed people." He said, tossing the paper onto the couch like it was the most disgusting thing he'd ever touched.
"It's not what it looks like Raph, you didn't even read the other side! I was doing that for our future..." She argued, picking up the paper and folding it in half to show him the Pros. Raphael scoffed again, snatching the paper from her and ripping it in half.
"What future?" He asked, letting the pieces fall to the floor. Felicia watched it, tears starting to well in her eyes. "Ya know, I honestly thought maybe you'd be different than her but, I was fuckin' wrong." He said shaking his head.
"Raph, no. It's not..." She reached out, grabbing his arm as he went to leave. He stopped and looked down at her as tears started to fall down her perfect pink cheeks. This feeling was almost too familiar and a lot more hurtful for him to stand there and listen to an explanation.
"Then what is it?" He barked as she let go of his arm, shrinking back from his outburst.
"I-I was...Trying to see..." She stammered, nervously as he shook his head.
"See what? Why you're even still with me?"
"No! That's not..."
"Save it." He said, shaking his head and pulling his arm back from her loosening grasp. "I'll come back tomorrow for the rest of my stuff."
"Raph please." Felicia's tears started falling freely now as he tried with everything in him to ignore it. He shook his head, giving her one last look before slamming her apartment door. Felicia's legs gave out from under her as she listened to his heavy footsteps dissipate down her long hallway.
She sat on her kitchen floor, after the footsteps long faded away and all she could hear was the sound of her own shuttered breaths and whimpering sniffs. She looked up at her oven clock, seeing that it had been a good ten minuets since he left. With shaky hands she reached for her cell phone, tears streaming down her face as her sight was blurry from new tears forming.
"Hello?" Willow's groggy voice said on the line hearing Felicia's sniff on the other end. "What's wrong? What happened with Raph?" She asked, sitting up completely in bed as Leo did the same, looking at Willow with concern.
"H-he left... He found my list and-and completely took it out of context... I-I didn't tell him, he wouldn't let me." She sniffed as Willow sighed, looking over at Leo.
"Your brother's an idiot." She growled as she threw her covers back, pulling up a pair of pajama bottoms. "You just have to explain it to him Fee." Willow cooed softly as Felicia sniffed, wiping tears from her cheeks, shaking her head. Willow walked to her door, stubbing her toe on the large duffel bag filled with her and Leo's things for the wedding. "Damn it." She hissed in pain, hopping on one foot.
"No. He didn't want to hear it. I knew I shouldn't have written that stupid list!" Felicia said, laying on her floor, hitting her head against it a couple times. "I'm a fuckin' idiot."
"Maybe I can tell him when he gets here?" Willow suggested as Felicia shook her head.
"No!" Felicia cried, sitting up quickly, getting a little dizzy as she grabbed her head. "No, it'll just make him more mad." She groaned, shaking her head. "Idiot." She hissed at herself. Willow heard her apartment door open then close and she glared towards it.
"He's here. Want me to call you back later?"
"No. I'll be..." She started to sob again, covering her mouth from the mouth piece of her phone and clenching her eyes shut.
"I'll come over for a little bit."
"No! You're exhausted. I'll just... Try and talk to him tomorrow? I don't... Know. You need rest before the wedding."
"It's in two days I can handle a..."
"No, Willow please. I'm OK." Felicia assured her, getting to her shaky feet making herself stand up.
"You're in no way OK." Willow said as Felicia nodded, feeling more tears start. She shoved them back, blinking her eyes.
"We'll talk tomorrow. I'm just gonna go to bed." Felicia sighed as Willow nodded.
"OK. I love you babe, please call me if you need me."
"I will. I'll be OK." Felicia said with a slight smile. "I love you too." Willow hung up her phone placing it on her dresser before heading for her bedroom door.
"Wait." Leo said softly, getting from the bed. "He's mad, you shouldn't talk to him." He said as Willow glared at her soon to be husband.
"I've handled him before when he was mad Tiger." Willow scoffed, going for her door handle.
"Not like this Will. Please, I don't want him to say something he's going to regret and he will. Believe me. Just, give him some time. Please." Leo said, putting his arms around Willow's shoulders. She glared at the door before nodding and stepping out of Leo's arms, laying back in her bed. Leo followed her, slipping into the bed next to her and kissing her naked shoulder. "Thank you babe." He smiled as she rolled her eyes.
"Whatever. He's a dick."
"He just doesn't like to listen when he thinks he's right."
"That doesn't sound familiar at all." Willow chuckled as Leo smirked and kissed her softly on the lips.
"Oh, hey Raph... Where's Fee?" Riley asked, as he came into the apartment, walking to the living room sitting down hard onto the couch. Mikey looked towards his brother, then back at Riley shaking his head.
"Leave him." Mikey whispered as Riley furrowed her brow. "C'mon." He said, taking the glasses of wine Riley had poured for them and leading her back to her bedroom.
"What was that about?" Riley asked, closing her door softly as Mikey sat on the edge of her bed.
"Something not good." He sighed.
"Uh oh..." Riley said, rolling her eyes and laying back on her bed behind Mikey's shell. He looked over his shoulder at her.
"What?"
"Felicia was ranting and raving today about her epiphany of finally coming out and saying she loved Raph. We helped her write a pro and con list because, you know Fee she loves to be super crazy organized and Izzy..." Riley said in a growl, shaking her head. "Izzy had her write turtle as number one under cons. Raph must have seen it. It probably wasn't pretty." Riley sighed, shaking her head. "She's an idiot."
"Wait... So, Felicia came to that conclusion today?" Mikey asked, turning to Riley as she looked up at him.
"Yeah, why?"
"You said you loved me?" He asked, putting the wine down on her night side table.
"I do love you." She smiled, taking his hands. He smiled at her, forgetting for a moment why he was getting upset.
"Do you?" He asked. "Or, is it just the wedding and Felicia?"
"What?" Riley asked, furrowing her brow completely confused. "Why would you... Mikey, no." She said, sighing as she placed her head on his bright green shoulder. She kissed it softly, looking back up into his bright blue eyes. "Michelangelo..." She said softly, lifting her head. "I love you." Mikey's face broke into a large smile. He pushed his body against hers as she laid back against her bed. Her mouth opened to his, their kiss deepening as Mikey pushed her up to the head of her bed, laying his body heavily between Riley's legs. "We've never..." She said through panting breaths, biting her swollen lip. Mikey smirked a little and nodded, realizing himself that this was the first time they would take their relationship to this physical level.
"Do you want... I mean, are you OK with..."
"I am more than OK Mikey." She smiled, leaning up to his mouth and kissing him.
"You need to tell me if anything feels...Wrong or..."
"Mikey, you always feel right." She smiled as Mikey followed, putting his head down kissing her naked shoulder, exposed from a tank top.
"I love you..." He sighed and she felt tears start to sting in her eyes again.
"Stop, you're going to make me cry." She sniffed as he chuckled, kissing her lips again.
"Sorry. I didn't know you could get so emotional." He chuckled as she narrowed her eyes in a fake anger.
"Really?" She asked, pushing up on her elbows as her breasts pressed tightly to his plastron. "You want me to fuck you or not?" She asked as he felt heat rush from his head down his body. He swallowed, nodding slowly as she smirked, pushing Mikey away from him and climbing onto his body. "Good." She said, pulling her tank top from her body and tossing it onto the floor. Mikey watched carefully as she reached behind her, slipping her bra from her shoulders. She was beautiful on top of him, her milky skin almost glowing in the moonlight that shinned in from her window.
