Willow looked around her mother's yard in Stockbridge Massachusetts, leaning up against a large oak tree. She looked to her left with a smile to Michelangelo and Riley were both splashing at each other in her parent's pool. She looked across the large yard towards her husband, talking with her father as he grilled some food and Leonardo tossed a ball for Boba. The poor girl moved a lot slower climbing the stairs than she used to, with her graying snout and tail but still loved to play none the less.
Feeling a tug on her pants by little hands Willow looked down at the beautiful face of a beautiful little girl. Her chubby little hands reached up, opening and closing them as Willow happily chuckled, picking the girl up in her arms. Leonardo walked over to his wife and the little girl snuggled against her chest, giving them both a soft kiss on their cheeks. The little girl reached up to Leonardo's human face, rubbing her little hand against the scruff of his cheek.
"Itchy Unc Leo." The little girl said with a scowl as Leo chuckled and nodded his head.
"I'm sorry princess. I'll fix it, OK?"
"Pwomise?" She asked as Leo nodded. "Daddy!" She called out as Tyler, Willow eldest brother picked his head up. He was holding his younger daughter by the straps of her overalls as she giggled wildly. Tossing the little girl easily over his shoulder he trotted towards his sister, brother in law and eldest daughter.
"Yes Julia Rose?" He asked as she crossed her arms, adjusting her body in Willow's arms to turn to her father.
"Unc Leo pwomise to no more itchy face." She said pointing a finger at Leo as Willow snorted a laugh as Tyler looked at him confused.
"Promise the girl, Leo! Damn." Hayden said from the patio, holding onto his own little baby boy as Maggie and Jane, Felicia's mother cooed at him.
"When are you two going to have some of your own?" Jane asked as she grabbed onto Hayden's little boy Jace's foot, kissing it.
"Uh..." Willow said, looking at Leo as Julia turned to her aunt.
"I want cwosins." She pouted as Willow pointed towards Jace.
"He's your cousin." She said with a shrug as Julia rolled her eyes, squirming out of Willow's arms. She set the little girl on the ground walking over to where Raphael and Felicia sat, her on his lap in a lawn chair.
"Auntie Fee, I want cwosins. Unc Ref and you should make some." She said as Raphael spit out the beer he was drinking coughing into his hand as Felicia sighed getting up from his lap and wiping the beer off her arm.
"Yeah, I believe we need to see a wedding first my dear." Felicia's mother said, glaring at Raphael as Felicia rolled her eyes.
"I'm not going through this with you again, mother." Felicia sighed as mother and daughter shared a look climbing the stairs to the porch together. Raphael got from his chair quickly, picking up Julia easily and putting her on his shoulder.
"And as for cousins. I think you have plenty." Raph said to Julia who shook her head.
"No. I want more." She said going over to her new baby cousin Jace and examining him in Heather's arms as she and Hayden sat comfortable together under the large oak tree.
"I don't understand why this is such a sore subject with you two? It's not like you haven't been dating for over a long period of time. Isn't three years usually when people get married? You're not exactly getting any younger Felicia." Jane said, as she followed behind her daughter into Maggie and Paul's home.
"If you two are going to argue then at least help me chop these cucumbers." Maggie said, popping one into her mouth. There was food set all along the kitchen counter, being prepped for the dinner they were all about to have celebrating summer and Leo and Willow's third year anniversary.
Felicia smiled, kissing Maggie on the side of the head as she grabbed a knife from the wooden block and started to chop.
"Those two had a beautiful wedding, why couldn't you?" Jane asked, grabbing a large head of lettuce and pulling it apart. Felicia looked over at Maggie who gave her a comforting smile.
"Willow's wedding was too much I think." Felicia shrugged as Willow walked into the house, carrying a baby boy on her hip.
"Hayden said his milk is in here, the little monster won't leave me alone." Willow sighed, pushing her sunglasses off her face as the handsome boy in her arms tugged on her long brunette hair. "Ow, ow..." She hissed, pulling it from his chubby grasp.
"Nice way to talk about your nephew." Felicia chucked as Willow rolled her eyes.
"I was talking about Hayden, and what about my wedding?" She asked, grabbing the bottle from Heather's bright blue and green Vera Bradly cooler, going over to the sink. She bumped her hip with her mother's to move out of the way as she got a large cup, filling it with water and putting it in the microwave.
"Your wedding was beautiful. I just want the same for my daughter." Jane said, putting her hand on Felicia's head and running it against her short chocolate brown hair. Felicia rolled her eyes, moving out from under her mother's touch.
"My wedding wasn't that great." Willow said over her shoulder, watching the baby bottle circle in the microwave. She caught Felicia's reflection in the dark glass of it, noticing the small scar left on Felicia's cheek. It had faded over the years and from Izzy forcing her to use several different face creams on it but, just underneath her foundation Willow could still make out the harsh scar of Karai's boot. "Let's not talk about that." Willow nodded as Jane huffed, taking a sip of her wine.
"Well, how long did you and Leo date before he purposed?" Jane shrugged as Felicia rolled her eyes once more. "Do not think I cannot see you rolling your eyes at me Felicia Lillian because I can. It's an honest questions." Felicia looked over at her friend for help who cooed at the little boy in her arms, taking the bottle that she had been shaking in her hands and placing a drop on her wrist to test the temperature before popping it into the little boys mouth.
"Leo and I dated for about five years. Those boys aren't... Normal when it comes to relationships, especially Raphael. He's had a hard... Past. So, it might take him some time." Willow shrugged, looking at Jane and giving Felicia a small smile.
"Yeah, they're good boys but have had a hard life. But, they're all amazing boys. Just... Give it time Jane. It's not like she's going to become a spinster, and you have that son of yours who just got married with a baby on the way. Be happy." Maggie said, taking the little boy from Willow's arms and blowing raspberries on his chubby cheeks. "She should be grateful, yes she should. Huh my Jace? Yes, Gigi is gonna make you some delicious cheerioes, yes I am." She said in a baby voice to the little boy as she walked him over
to the kitchen table, taking out his highchair.
"You finally decided on Gigi?" Willow chuckled, grabbing a beer for herself from the fridge and handing two to Felicia for her and Raph.
"Well, Noni seemed too much and Grandma was just... No. So, Paul mentioned Gigi and I thought that was good. Seems to suit me, no?" She asked, setting the little chubby guy in his seat as Jane helped, placing his legs into the holes.
"It does suit you." Felicia smiled.
"How's the Dojo coming along son?" Paul asked as he flipped a burger from his wheelchair. Leonardo still stood with the ratted ball in his hand, tossing it back to Boba as she wagged her tail at him in anticipation.
"It's coming." He smiled. "We're set for one class so far, fifteen kids."
"Oh wow, how'd you get the word of mouth out there?"
"Well, Donnie made us a website and Raph has posted filers at his work, I've been posting all around the City and Riley and Willow have at the school. There's mostly where those kids have come from."
"Are they younger than you expected?"
"No, not at all. I thought that we could have a wide range of kids from all ages. Mikey is really good with the young ones and Raph and I can handle the teens." He shrugged with a chuckle.
"I ain't dealing with no teenage drama bullshit." Raph said, climbing the stairs to the porch where the grill was set up.
"Not anymore than your own as a teen." Leo chuckled as Raph rolled his eyes.
"That's what I'm afraid of."
"You'll do fine, son. You father taught you all very well." Paul said, patting Raphael's arm in passing. "How is his health doing?" He asked solemnly as Raphael and Leonardo shared a look.
"Not very well..." Leonardo said with a sigh. "He's been staying with our friends April and Casey. They have more space than we do at Willow's. We've been actually talking about moving, probably closer to the school. It's a nicer area and more space so Splinter can move in with us until..." Leo stopped, looking down at the bottle of water he had been clenching in his hand. "Until he feels better." He said with a clear of his throat as Paul nodded his head.
"How did Felicia's move go with Betty?" Paul asked, looking over his shoulder at Raph as he hopped up on the porch banister.
"It was good. I'm just glad she got out of the apartment she was at." He sighed, shaking his head. "That place was a shithole."
"What's a shithole?" Felicia asked as she and Willow made their way onto the porch. Felicia handed Raphael a beer, noticing his downtrodden face for a moment and rubbing her hand against his strong back. "You ok?" She asked softly as he smiled, kissing her on the cheek that held her scar.
"I'm better now." He said, taking the beer from her and kissing her again. "Your old apartment was a shithole." He said a little louder as Willow chuckled, putting her arm around Leonardo's slim waist.
"It was pretty bad."
"Not any worse than your first apartment." Felicia argued as Willow rolled her eyes, taking a swig of her beer.
"It was good for the money I was spending which was next to nothing."
"I still think you should have waited to save up more before moving." Paul sighed with a shake of his head, flipping some steak over.
"Oh Daddy, I'm fine. I did as good as I could have and if it wasn't for that crappy apartment I wouldn't of moved and I would have never been rescued by Mikey."
"It's true. It all started with me." The blonde, young handsome man said as he climbed up the stairs of the porch with a towel over his wet head and Riley close behind. She walked over to the patio furniture, putting a black coverall over her bikini body as Mikey pouted at her. She chuckled, walking over to his lean, tanned human body and giving him a kiss.
"Yeah, yeah... We all know the love story of Mikey and Willow." Leonardo said with a roll of his eyes. Willow chuckled as Mikey put his wet arm around Willow tugging her away from his older brother. She sighed, looking down at her white tank top now wet from his body.
"I think he's jealous babe, what about you?"
"Jealous? Leonardo? No..." She said as Mikey chuckled as Leo glared falsely at Willow. She chuckled with a pout, kissing his fake angered face.
"Izzy is finally here." Felicia smiled as she noticed her friend and her new husband get out of their stylish crossover SUV. Zachary ran over to the passenger side as Boba danced around his feet with a wagging tail. He helped a very pregnant Izzy out of the car, sunglasses over her face and a beautiful white sundress on.
"Oh hello my precious girl!" Izzy cooed, trying to bend over to pet the dog's face as Boba sat, waiting patiently for the rub. "I can't reach her head anymore, oh God I'm a whale. Willow! Am I a whale?" She called out as she and Zachary made their way up the porch steps, Izzy hobbling as quickly as she could. Willow met them halfway, taking her long time friend's arm and helping her the rest of the way.
"No momma, you're just very pregnant." Willow chuckled as Izzy sighed, pushing her outlet bought designer sunglasses up over her hair.
"Hey everyone..." Izzy said with a sigh as Zachary got her a chair, placing it in the sun. "Babe, can you move that in the shade please? Baby doesn't like the sun today." She said softly, pushing the sweat that was already covering her brow from the walk off her forehead.
"Of course love." He smiled, kissing Izzy on the side of the head, moving the chair underneath the porches canopy. "I'll go get you some Lemonade."
"Oh no, babe... Baby doesn't like Lemonade it gives me horrible heartburn..." She sighed. "I'm sorry, I'm such a premadona..." She said looking over at the others as Willow smiled, pulling out a chair for Zachary to sit in next to his wife.
"Don't worry about it. Zach, you sit and Felicia and I will get anything Isabella wants. I think Daddy needs a break." Willow said with a smile as Zachary as he sat heavily in the seat next to Izzy.
"He's been running around like crazy today after me. I try and get it for myself and..."
"You can't stress yourself too much you'll put yourself on bed rest and that might push back the pregnancy."
"Yes Doctor." Izzy said with a roll of her eyes.
"So, I'm guessing a beer for the Doctor and something for the blushing bride?" Willow asked as Izzy thought for a moment.
"Water I think, is there lemon?" She asked with a grimace as Willow nodded. "That please."
"Coming up... I get a tip right?" She asked as Zachary chuckled.
"Here's a tip, listen to the pregnant woman before she beats your ass." Izzy said as Willow chuckled, going into the house. "So, what's new?" She asked, looking over at everyone as Riley shrugged.
"The Dojo looks pretty nice. I drove by it the other day after a meeting I had downtown." Zachary said, looking over at Leo who smiled.
"Thank you, we actually just got the decals yesterday. Donnie put them up."
"Speaking of Donnie where is he with my sister?" Izzy asked, looking towards the driveway, waiting to see if her car would pull up.
"He said they were on their way... That was like fifteen minuets ago?" Mikey said, grabbing his phone from the glass table underneath the canopy.
"Huh... They were right behind us." Zach said as Izzy rolled her eyes.
"They're in love and it's new and exciting they probably pulled over somewhere to have sex." Izzy said with a shake of her head as Paul cleared his throat. Her face went bright red, grimacing. "Sorry Paul." She said sheepishly as Paul smirked a little, putting the meat he had just got done grilling on a large platter.
"Leo can you put that on the table please." He said, looking up at Leonardo who took the large plate of food. "I need to go see how my wife is coming along with that salad. I'll leave you kids to chat." He chuckled, rolling himself towards the house and Raph jogged over quickly and opened the screen door for him. "Thank you son." Paul said with a smile.
"How is the Dojo?" Izzy asked, putting her sunglasses back over her face and looking over at Leonardo.
"It's going good."
"You have enough money?" She asked, with a furrowed brow as Zach looked over at his wife.
"Babe, I don't think that's..."
"It's an honest question. If they're hemorrhaging money already and he's married to my best
friend I want to know if she'll be financially stable." She shrugged as Zach sighed, shaking his head. Leo chuckled a little, taking a seat next to the couple. Willow came outside with the glass of water with sliced lemons and ice, and a bottle of beer, handing them both to her friends.
"We're fine for now. With Paul and Maggie's money and all the money from the wedding and without a honeymoon we were able to put all that into it." He shrugged.
"Oh God, you're asking about money again?" Willow asked with a sigh as Izzy shrugged.
"Yeah, and Mikey's tips last summer, Raph's job at the garage and Donnie's IT job they've been actually saving up a lot of money." Felicia said with a shrug, looking over at her handsome boyfriend's human face proudly.
"Oh yeah... You guys got jobs and all that. I completely forgot because of the..." Izzy said waving her hand towards Mikey's body.
"Forgot about what? Why would they not have jobs?" Zach laughed, taking a swig of his beer as Willow glared towards Izzy for a moment. She grimaced, looking over at her husband, patting his leg.
"You know me babe, pregnancy brain." She shrugged. "Duh."
"Hello all." Betty said with a smile, her long ebony hair tried up in a bun on top of her head. Donatello following behind her, with his moppy hair a mess atop his head.
"Hello you two." Izzy said with a knowing smile. Betty walked up to her sister, kissing her cheek and rubbing her large belly.
"Hello my niece or nephew. How are you, you beautiful baby? How's momma today?" She asked, looking at her sister as Izzy rolled her eyes.
"I'm fine. You're just as bad as him." She said pointing towards her husband. Donnie said hello to everyone, shaking Zach's hand as he took a seat next to his eldest brother.
"How was your drive?" Zach asked with a smile as Izzy chuckled.
"Yeah, did you guys get lost?" Mikey asked with a smile as Riley rolled her eyes.
"No... We didn't get lost. Just... Traffic." Donnie said with a shrug, looking towards Leonardo who smiled, shaking his head.
"They think we had sex." Betty said with a roll of her eyes, taking Willow's beer from her hand and taking swig. "Oh, that's good. I want one." She said, heading into the house, leaving Donnie with a red face.
"So, branica how was it?" Raph asked with a chuckle as Felicia slapped him in his stomach. "What?"
"Stop it." She said, rolling her eyes and following Betty into the house.
"...How long have you and Donnie been together now?" Jane asked as Betty made a confused face, looking towards Maggie and then Felicia as she entered the house.
"Oh my God mother." Felicia sighed, going into the refrigerator to grab another beer.
"What? I am just curious about my daughter's boyfriend's family? Is that a crime?" Jane asked as Maggie rolled her eyes, taking a long pull of her white wine.
"They're a wonderful family and good boys. That's all that is need to be said." Paul said with a shrug, taking the large bowl of salad and rolling himself towards the porch.
"It's true, they are and Donnie and myself have been dating for several months." Betty said with a smile, grabbing a beer for herself.
"So, engagement isn't really on the radar for you two yet. However, if you were dating for lets say several years would it be? For Donnie at least?" Jane asked as Felicia sighed, rolling her eyes and heading towards the screen door.
"Uh, probably not." Betty said with a shrug, following Felicia outside. "What the hell was that?" She asked her friend in a whisper as Felicia rolled her eyes once more, taking a long pull of her beer.
"She's been on my case about getting married." She sighed, looking over at Raphael and keeping her voice down as low as she could. Betty nodded her head following Felicia's line of sight and smiling at her Donatello.
"That sucks." She said, still watching Donnie as Felicia smirked, following her line of sight now.
"You and Donnie are getting kinda serious huh?" She asked as Betty shrugged. "It's good. He deserves a good person like you."
"Aw, thanks." Betty said, pushing her fist against Felicia's shoulder.
"What are we talking about?" Willow asked, making their way over to her friends.
"Just relationships." Felicia said.
"Yeah, and marriage." Betty chuckled as Felicia glared at their younger friend.
"Yeah, that'll happen." Willow chuckled as she glanced over at Raphael.
"You don't think so?" Betty asked.
"What are you guys grouping around for? You look like a flock of hens." Riley said, walking up to the group of young woman as Willow chuckled.
"Marriage apparently." Willow said as Felicia sighed, taking a long pull of her beer.
"Is Raph talkin' 'bout...?"
"No. God no." Felicia said, looking past Willow's shoulder to her boyfriend, still blissfully unaware of the conversation and wrapped in his own with all his brother's, Hayden, Tyler and Zach. The men all gathered around the glass patio table, laughing and drinking with one another.
"So, what 'bout marriage then?" Riley asked confused, putting her arm on Willow's shoulder.
"Her mom is harping about when and if they're going to get married." Willow said softly as Riley nodded.
"Oh..." She said nodding her head before chuckling. "Yeah, Raph must take that real good." She said as she felt a large hand on her bare shoulder.
"Raph is takin' what good?" Raphael asked, looking at all the girls as Felicia's face turned bright red. Riley turned to him, moving from under his hand as she looked at Willow quickly.
"Uh..." She stammered as Willow rolled her eyes.
"Jane and all the marriage questions." She shrugged as Felicia tsked her tongue at her best friend.
"Really?" She said, turning from the group and going down the porch steps getting away from all these ridiculous questions. Raph looked at Willow for a moment as she shrugged.
"Follow her genius."
"Why I didn't offend her, you did." He chuckled as Willow slapped his arm.
"Go!" She said pointing towards the pool where Felicia plopped herself down on one of the lounge chairs. He sighed, finishing off his beer and handing the empty bottle over to Willow. Going down the stairs slowly he tucked his hands into his jean pockets, making his away across the yard and over to the pool. He was worried about what she could be thinking. If she was worried about marriage, and if they were would. He was scared that it would one day be an issue, for either of them. Did he want to get married? Did she? He had no idea and he was too terrified to even ask.
Walking up the small steps to patio he watched as she laid back against the plastic chair, her hands behind her head. She looked beautiful today, wearing a black tank top and jean shorts that came up about mid thigh. He loved those on her, even though he never told her he somehow guessed she knew so, he never had to. She had gained some weight since they started dating. She called it her getting comfortable fat. He didn't mind it at all, in fact he thought her to be even more sexy having a little more meat on her bones. Her feet were crossed at the ankle and covered in a pair of green flip flops. Her hair was getting longer and pulled back from her face in a messy bun atop her head. She couldn't be more perfect. He sighed, remembering why he had to walk over to her to begin with. Marriage.
"Hey." He said softly as Felicia didn't look over at him. Her head back against the chair looking up towards the sun, her glasses off her face and sitting on the arm of the chair.
"You don't need to babysit me, I just need a minuet to myself." She said softly, as she heard him take a seat next to her.
"I'm not babysittin' ya. I'm checkin' on ya." He shrugged as she sighed, putting her hand over her eyes to shield her from the summer sun.
"Baby, this is too much." She said shaking her head. "My mother is crazy and not giving up on this marriage shit. I don't think anything of it so neither should you." She said as Raphael furrowed his brow.
"I'm not listenin' to her if that makes you feel better?" He asked as she chuckled, putting her head back against the chair and closing her eyes.
"It does. She doesn't make my decisions, we do. Together. That's what couples do." She shrugged as he nodded his head, taking her hand that was on her lap into his.
"I agree." He said as she looked over at him again, squinting one eye.
"Good."
"Come back up to the porch. Sit with me and stop leavin'." He said in a chuckle as she smiled. He kissed her hand softly as she nodded her head, getting pulled to her feet by him.
"See..." Maggie said over at Jane as she pointed out her daughter and Raphael, smiling and happy on the pool's patio together. "Give it time. He's a good guy." She said, patting her best friend on the shoulder as Jane sighed.
"I was being a little much huh?" She asked as Maggie raised an eyebrow at her.
"Please, I wasn't even that bad with these two and their wedding." Izzy spoke up pointing at Leo and Willow as they sat at the table.
"You weren't bad?" Willow asked in shock as Izzy turned to her, pushing her glasses up from her freckled face.
"Yeah, why you think otherwise?"
"Remember Willow, she's pregnant and her emotions are a little... Extreme?" Zach said as Willow smiled, rolling her eyes.
"No Iz, you were perfect." She lied with a smile as Izzy glared at her friend, putting her sunglasses back over her face.
"Whatever, you love me." She said with a smile as Willow chuckled getting up from her husband's lap, kissing her friend's cheek.
"You got that right boo."
