Upon returning in 1994, Voldemort realized how ridiculous wizarding Britain is and decided to retire and enjoy his immortal. He decided to take Peter with him, giving his pet death eaters ridiculous tasks. He spent time sunning himself, randomly cursing Peter, and assigning Snape impossible missions that give Dumbledore heart attacks. Sometimes he entertained Harry Potter too.
