The Third King of Kuoh Academy
Chapter 22
I watched Seraphin and Violet dash through the last few trees and arrive on the beachhead. "Thank Lucifer! Will you two please let me go now?" I begged and Aria shrugged, finally releasing from a headlock. They are so abusive; I mean who shows love that way? I fell to the ground and scrambled back to my feet and ran over to Seraphin. The beautiful red head was talking to her equally beautiful Knight as I approached. "So what did you two-" before I could even ask anything, Seraphin had stopped talking and kissed me. She placed her hand on the back of my head and pushed me against her even more, kissing me more and more passionately. When she was finally done and I was released, it took me a few seconds to regain consciousness. That was an amazing kiss.
"So, Seraphin, how was the island?" I asked, trying to sound smooth for some reason. "Everything seems to be alright so far Master. I only ran into one of them, a Rook, and I took care of her easy. Other than that, there doesn't seem to be anything to worry about." She explained and I nodded. "I wonder what he's planning. You said you beat a Rook?" "That's correct Master." I put my hand on my chin and looked at the landscape around us. What could he be planning? Did he only send one out on purpose or did we just run into one? "How did it go for you Violet?" I asked and the black haired girl shrugged. "I didn't see anything of interest except for a couple pretty flowers." I sighed and face-palmed. I should have known she wouldn't take this seriously. "Aria, Ashlen!" I called. "Can you two come here, I need your advice." I asked and my two bodyguards sprinted towards me, kicking up sand and basically tackling me. "Yes…Master…what…did you…need?" Aria asked between breaths, giving a slight wink to Ashlen after latching onto me first. Violet just giggled, "You two just sprinted about thirty feet, why are you out of breath?" Both Rooks gave her a death glare and she took a step back.
"Okay, you all relax and lets focus on the enemy." I suggested and the girls nodded and looked up at me. "Alright, so what do you all think our next move should be? Where are the others anyway?" I asked, suddenly remembering half my household wasn't at the campsite. "Well the young ones were waiting on Violet and myself so they're…" Seraphin explained and then pointed past the campsite at the water. The five young girls were splashing and playing around, completely unaware they were on a battlefield. "Well, at least they're okay." I commented and smiled. "And Brittany…" Aria started before the island shook with a sudden explosion. "I think I know where she is." I muttered as we turned around and saw two forms flying above the tree line.
Brittany held her staff above her head and made all the wind around her charge straight forward in an arrow barrage form. The pink haired, large breasted, enemy Queen simply smirked and pointed her staff at Brittany's chest. "Boom." She muttered and sent a small purple ball towards the brunette. Brittany, thinking fast, redirected the wind currents to circle around the ball as it exploded. The large explosion sent both of the Queen's back a few meters. "I see your title as Boom Queen is defiantly well deserved." Brittany commented as the smoke cleared between them. "And you are defiantly skilled yourself, Wind Angel. I'm defiantly impressed that a former servant like your Master could share so much power with you and make you as strong as you are." The enemy Queen smirked, her excessive amount of purple lipstick made her expressions even more disgusting. "Your move, Boom Queen." Brittany taunted as she held out her staff and readied herself.
Back on the ground, my entire peerage had gathered around me to watch our Queen fight. "Should we help?" Violet asked, pulling both her daggers out of her sweatshirt pouch. "Two of us could defiantly beat the makeup wearing slut." Aria chimed in. Seraphin and Ashlen nodded and began to move forward before I held out my hand. "Brittany will be fine." I said matter of factly and smiled. "I'm positive. No need for any of us to get upset. Now, let's focus on what we're going to do." I turned to face the little ones as more explosions rocketed across the sky.
Brittany forced the winds to push her even farther up as small purple balls exploded all around her in a circle. Spinning her gold staff between her fingers, a gale force wind blew towards the purple haired Queen from all four sides. The enemy Queen, looking around frantically, set off a bomb beneath her, pushing herself much farther up into the sky. However, Brittany wasn't close to done. She stopped spinning her staff and swung it straight up above her head, forcing the winds to follow the Queen at mock speeds. The purple haired devil looked down in horror as winds tore through her clothes and cut at her skin. The barrage was over in a few seconds and Brittany smirked as she watched her opponent struggle to remain flying. "You're much tougher than I thought, that was a good trick. Looks like I'll have to use it already." The enemy Queen muttered and pulled a small vial out from her cleavage. "Phoniex tears. These little vials have some amazing healing abilities so," she unscrewed the cap and drank the whole vial, "you're going to have to do way better than that to beat me now." She pushed her staff forward, a large purple ball appearing at the end of it. Brittany held her staff at her side, dividing the winds between herself and her opponent so the ball would have no air to travel through. The purple haired Queen grinned and shot the ball off at an incredible speed. Brittany gasped as it passed through her vacuum effortlessly and made the winds push her down as fast as possible.
She stopped just above the tree line a second later but the blast was still enough to shoot her down through the trees and onto the ground. She clenched her eyes as the explosion hit and she was sent tumbling down into…what? The brunette cracked an eye to see that she had landed in my arms. "I said I wasn't going to interfere in your fight, but I can't have my princess getting hurt now can I?" I asked and she smiled. She brought up her hand and flicked my forehead. "Thanks for catching me." She whispered and pecked me on the cheek. "Disgusting." The purple haired Queen hovered just above the trees over us and smirked. "How can you show such a disgusting, pitiful devil that kind of affection? He's nothing compared to Lord Riser." She commented and I just smiled, holding my one and only Queen. "Thank Lucifer he's nothing like your scummy Master. He treats me as an equal and shows me love and respect and buys me whatever I want. I would never want another Master." Brittany yelled back and jumped out of my arms. She looked over her shoulders and winked at me. "You take care of the others baby, I'll handle this." She said confidently and I smiled at her. Her purple eyes are so dreamy. "I'll get you an awesome gift if you beat her." I joked and her grin widened. "Is that a promise?" She asked before making the winds take her back to her fighting level.
I watched the two Queen's face off from below. They stared at each other for a few still moments before Riser's Queen dashed back and swung her staff in front of her, sending a wave of purple balls towards Brittany. My Queen just smiled calmly and swung her staff slowly, sending arcs of wind forward to slice through the approaching balls. There were dozens of explosions across the sky as the barrage exploded. Brittany pressed her advantage, swirling all the smoke together and making it surround herself and her opponent. "Do you think blinding me will work?" The purple haired Queen called out, but Brittany didn't answer. Suddenly, to the Queen's surprise, multiple parts of the smoke suddenly blew apart and arcs of wind flew towards her at different speeds. She dodged and evaded but she couldn't keep up with all the different directions. She flew farther and farther up, some arcs slicing at her skin and slowing her down, until she emerged from the smoke far above the island. When she could finally see, she looked up into Brittany's eyes. The brunette smiled and hit the enemy Queen across the face with her staff before causing the wind to circle around her in a vortex. "You called my Master disgusting. I can't let you off with a warning after that now can I?" Brittany teased and increased the speed of the vortex. The speed of the wind ripped into the enemy Queen's skin and began to tear her apart. Brittany then pushed the vortex towards the ground and her opponent, now cut up and week, fell to the ground helpless.
"Riser's Queen, defeated." The announcer called and Brittany, flying far above, smiled. She slowly lowered herself back to our basecamp and immediately laid down. "Are you okay?" I asked, worried if she'd been hurt or not. "I'm fine Varian, I just need to rest for a bit." She explained and sat down beside the campfire next to Aria and some of the little ones. "Well, since our biggest threat has been taken care of by our awesome Queen, let's take this fight to Riser!" I yelled and the girls cheered. "Seraphin, you take Ella and Amy and follow me into the forest. Violet, you Sara, Tera, and Jasmin follow us in about ten minutes. Then I want the rest of you to come in about twenty minutes after that. If we keep our waves spread out, we can take out as many of them as possible and always have back up. Sound good?" I asked and everyone immediately yelled "No!" "Varian! You are not going in first!" Violet and Ashlen yelled in unison. I think that's the loudest Ashlen has ever been. "No way Master, we can't let you get hurt." Tera commented from my side. I looked down to see her and Amy pulling at my hand and looking very upset. "I'll be fine, but, if it means that much to you all, I'll go later on." I conceded and the girls cheered.
Seraphin, who had been cooking marshmallows on the campfire, stood up and grabbed her huge sword. "Well, lets go hunting little ones. Master, can I talk to you really quick?" She asked as Amy and Ella gathered their things and got ready to head out. "Of course Seraphin." The two of us walked away from the campsite and I watched the beautiful red haired Knight walk in front of me and sit on a large rock. "When I fought that Rook, I announced myself as the head of the Gremory's royal guard and…you're protector." She admitted and I was caught a bit off guard. "I thought you hated that title." I commented, moving closer to her and trying to gauge her expression. "I do but that's not why I feel off. It just made me think of how close we used to be, especially before I started having to guard you all the time." She explained and I nodded, thinking back to all the times we'd run around in the courtyard with stick swords and she'd beat me half to death just for fun. "Seraphin, I remember those days too." I told her and she seemed to smile a bit. "I'm not just your bodyguard Varian. I'm your friend too. No matter how dutiful and proud I act…I'm a girl underneath too. I just wanted to represent you well and be strong." She explained and I smiled at her. I took her hand and, getting down on a knee, kissed the back of it. "You're a very special girl Seraphin. Strong, confident, proud, and incredible. I'll never forget how childish and cool you used to be and I'll never forget how strong and brave you are. I've always known you're more than a guard." I told her and she smiled even more, a few tears coming to her eyes. She let go of the Blackflame, which she'd been gripping tightly in her other hand the entire time, and she tackled me. She kissed me against, pushing me deeper and deeper into the sand as her hands interlocked with mine. I really missed this feeling. "Um…are we still going to go fight or should we go get a bed?" Amy asked and Seraphin stopped kissing me. I looked up and saw an upside down Amy with her arms folded and a confused looking Ella starring at us. Seraphin punched me in the gut suddenly and stood up. "You should really learn to not say the right things all the time." She muttered and I could see her blushing and smiling as she grabbed her sword and walked away, a few tears falling onto the sand. "Bye bye Master." The two little ones called as they followed the older servant into the woods. I could only lay on my back and wave as they walked in. Seraphin…
