Hey guys! It's me! Yes I am back after a really long time. I am here to apologize for my long awaited return. I feel absolutely dreadful that I let you guys go! But as a gift, from me to you, is a new chapter! I've been really busy lately with school and just life in general. Time gets away from you... Haha. Well, on with the story!
Christine left Erik in the kitchen, who sat slumped against his chair, his cheeks aflame. 'What... What was that all about?' He thought as he pondered what his next move should be. Should he tell her everything? Including his feelings that he has stored up for her all these years? The thought terrified him quite a bit. What if she rejected him? What would he do with his life then? Christine was his everything and if he lost her, he wouldn't have the strength to keep on living in a world that couldn't even love him.
She was the only light in his life. Even now, with his successful musical career, he just couldn't imagine living life without her. Sighing he decided to follow her into the living room, there he found her sitting on the couch with her knees drawn up to her chest, her petite chin resting on them as the remote dangled lazily in her hand.
"So, how does it look?" Erik asked her as he took a seat next to her, his weight making the couch cushions sag. Christine shook her head, sending her chocolate curls in a glossy arc. "Not so good... It actually looks worse than what yesterday was." She said, closing her eyes for a brief moment. "I'm never going to get home." Was all she muttered before burying her face into her knees. But she wasn't crying. Erik hesitantly patted her on the back, "Christine... It's okay." He said, doing his best to comfort her.
Before long he felt his hand roaming until they started to stroke her hair repeatedly. Christine relaxed into his gentle touch and before long, she was laying down, her head resting in his lap while he continously stroked through her spiral curls.
"Erik... Would you mind if I spent the night here once more?" She asked innocently, while nudging his hand with her forehead. Erik's heart melted. "No, not at all Christine. You can stay for as long as you need to." He simply replied. Upon hearing this, a slow smile spread across her rosy pink lips. "Thank you... I'm glad to hear that." She responded, her voice light, like a zephyr in the summer.
Erik almost couldn't handle his feelings of passion for her. He wanted to be with her forever, he wanted to be her boyfriend and hopefully eventual husband. Even when they were kids, he always thought that. Of course, he would probably never admit that to her, but sometimes, when they had moments like this he felt like he could.
"Erik... Do you remember when I first entered high school?" She asked after a short while. "Yes... I do." he replied. "Haha, you were so worried about me making new friends and regulating my schedule." Christine chuckled at the memory of Erik acting like a worried mother. "It was hilarious." Erik blushed at this, "Well... Maybe I did overreact a little bit. But that's only because my high school experience wasn't the best." He said.
"I know... But still, you did help me score the lead role in every Fall Musical up until my Senior year!" She said cheerfully. The corners of Erik's lips quirked up in a smirk, that he did. Threatening the music teacher to let his Angel be the lead unless there was another girl who outmatched her. Which was no one. She was peerless to her classmates.
"Erik... I-" She was cut short when he leaned down and planted a warm yet gentle kiss on her forehead. When he sat back up, she only stared up at him dumbfounded. 'Did he... Just kiss me? The love of my life?' She thought as her mind buzzed with excitement.
Not thinking, she turned herself around so that their chests were touching. Gently removing his mask and looking into his eyes before hers closed, their lips touched.
Sorry guys! That's all I have for today! I apologize again for my lateness on this story... On all my stories. And how short this chapter is. But, I am back! - Lyricalmiracle134
