Hey there guys! I know it's been forever since I have updated and I owe you guys a huge apology. I have been very sick lately, I fell down a flight of stairs and hit my head resulting in a very bad concussion and I also have been suffering a broken heart as well. My now ex-boyfriend decided to break up with me as soon as I was about to continue writing so down in a huge depression I went, which is why this story has been hindered in it's progress. But don't fear, I am back and wiser. I hope you enjoy this chapter because I owe it to you guys. Expect more to come soon.

Christine couldn't believe that this was happening, Erik was kissing her! She felt her cheeks flush scarlet as Erik pulled away and brushed her hair away from her hot face and smiled at her with serene eyes. She blinked a couple times trying to clear her frazzled mind, 'This is actually happening... But why now? Is it because I'm no longer a child?' she wondered as Erik pulled her in close for a tender hug. Her body rigid at first, relaxed into his warm embrace. Wrapping her arms around his waist she rested her head on his chest and listened to his beating heart. "Your heart is racing..." she murmured into his chest. A deep laugh resonated within his chest, "Yes, but yours is as well." he replied. Christine's face burned, since there was nothing she could do about it she just buried it into Erik's chest and he held her for a while in a perfect silence.

After what seemed like an eternity Erik shifted his position, startled Christine looked up at him with questioning eyes. "Is something wrong?" she asked. Erik chuckled, "No my dear, I was just wondering if you would like to dance?" He asked standing up and offering her his large hand, to which she accepted with a half smile on her lips. "To which do I owe this dance?" She asked teasingly as Erik put some music on. Her eyes widened when she recognized the tune to Ed Sheeran's newest hit "Thinking Out Loud".

"I love this song!" she exclaimed as Erik took one of her hands and put his other hand on her waist while she put her remaining free hand on his shoulder. "I thought that this song was appropriate, besides you never got to go to your Senior prom either." he remarked, making her blush at his thoughtfulness. As they slowly waltzed around his living room Ed's voice seemed to sweep them into a world that it was only the two of them and no one else.

"So baby now, take me into your loving arms. Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars. Oh, darling, place your head on my beating heart, I'm thinking out loud..."

As they danced to the gentle music Christine was swept away to another lingering memory from their past.

Fifteen year old Christine was struggling with her dance routine that she had been practicing for what felt like weeks. She wanted to be perfect, but due to her recent sprained ankle she was having a difficult time getting back on her feet, so ever since the doctor told her she could start dancing again she locked herself in the dance studio for hours on end trying to perfect her moves. Erik was a co-instructor as this time at the dance studio because he wanted to be involved in the performing arts in college, this was a short internship. It wasn't music but he thought that it was better than no internship.

He had just come into the studio to find Christine pushing herself over her limits and he could see her frustration building. Luckily he was her partner for this waltz and he decided to help. "Hey Chrissy, want me to help you?" he offered, walking over to her as she scowled at herself in the mirrors. "I think I'll be alright on my own." she huffed as she wiped her brow.

"Just saying, it looks like you could use the help." Erik said, putting his arm around her slumped shoulders. "Okay, okay, yes I do need some help. I'm really frustrated right now anyways." she said. Erik smiled at her, but his eyes looked somewhat sad. "Are you okay?" she asked him as he stretched and got ready to run their routine."Yes, I'm fine Chrissy, stop being such a worry wart." he teased as he took her in his arms and they stood poised waiting for their cue in the music to start.

As they progressed, Christine looked into Erik's eyes deeply and performed exquisitely well despite her formal struggles. He thought she was the most beautiful creature he had ever laid eyes on, 'She's really grown up.' he thought as he whisked her across the dance floor. Twirling her around and lifting her up into the air and finishing with a graceful dip in which she comes back up slowly to pretend to kiss him. It was a very passionate waltz and when it was over Erik stood there breathless taken with the near kiss Christine nearly gave him every time they rehearsed. Oh how he just wanted to pull her in and ravish her lips until they became swollen. But he held himself back and watched as she smiled at him.

"I did it!" She said excitedly. "I actually did it perfectly with your help! Sometimes Erik, it's like you're my good luck charm." She said, her eyes twinkling with admiration.

Reliving that moment was amazing and thrilling to her now as it was back then, but even more so because their feelings for each other were true. She leaned in close to him and kissed him tenderly on the cheek before resting her cheek against his as the song slowly stopped.

"That maybe we found love right where we are. Oh, baby, we found love right where we are, and we found love right where we are..."

Awww, that was quite a sweet chapter. I'm sorry that it was shorter, it's been a while and I have to get back into writing lengthy chapters! Hopefully they will start to get longer as I continue to update. I am working on my other stories too just so you should know. I'm not gone! I love you guys and I hope you can put up with me. 3 - Lyricalmiracle134
