Chapter 12: Missing

No one was in the house, not a trace of anyone even being there besides the foul smell, and tagging all over the damn place. "Help!" The voice screamed again, and again. Maddy and Rhydian eventually racing down the stairs. "Oh… My….God…." Maddy said, her jaw dropped down to the floor, as she looked around the house. "Rhydian… what the hell." She spit out, her hands shaking, eyes transforming into a bright yellow, her veins turning ink black. "Someone Help!" The voice screamed once again, and at that split second Maddy and Rhydian raced out the door, into the backyard, where Jana was standing before their three children, and Emma and Daniel were on the ground out cold. Sicilia was standing in front of Fallon and James growling at Jana aggressively, her eyes turning to a dark green and yellow, her veins growing ink black, and she howled for help, trying to side step, and out flank Jana's every move.

"Jana, get away from my children!" Maddy growled, her eyes growing a bright red with a dark blue pupil. "Like I said, Maddy, I told you to watch your kids." Jana said, Maddy's power eventually effecting her. Jana fell to the ground, her eyes eventually turning black, which made Maddy weaken, making her dizzy and disorientated. Maddy eventually was blinded, and heard Rhydian step in front of her, also Jana call out a name. "Laney!" Jana called, and in two seconds a half-blood was standing beside Jana side, with dark red eyes, and a vicious growl rising from its throat. Jana looked over to the cubs and back to the half-blood. It nodded, and began to walk over.

"No, Jana stop this!" Rhydian growled pulling the blinded wolfblood closer to him and the cubs. Jana barked at the half-blood, as if telling it to stop. It stopped but kept a close eye on the cubs, its veins slightly lightening up but darkening up when it got tense. "Follow me, and you won't see me again. Promise." Jana grinned, and began to walk toward the woods.

"Rhydian, don't!" Maddy barked at her mate looking in the completely wrong direction. "Maddy, I'll be fine. Have a little faith, will ya?" He said kissing her on the cheek, and followed Jana. "Damn it, Rhydian." Maddy stomped her foot. She stood still staring at nothing.

"Okay, what the hell do you want?" Rhydian growled at Jana, his body getting tense. "Rhydian, are you seriously in love with that….. tame?!" Jana barked at him, trying to keep calm and not to kill him on the way. "Don't you EVER call Maddy 'tame'!" Rhydian snapped at the crimson haired girl. "Answer my question!" She growled. "You know what? Yes, I am in love with Maddy. I always have been, from the second I laid eyes on her, I loved her. Leave her out of this, what it the actually the point in this damn conversation if you're just going to insult my mate!?" He growled, his eyes turning a bright yellow and his veins turning black. Jana couldn't think about a response, she ran up and kissed Rhydian, in a desperate effort attempt to get him to love her instead of Maddy. Rhydian pushed Jana off, and nearly smacked her, but held his instincts In check. "Then your precious mate, can stay blind forever, and my sister will kill you cubs." She grinned, blackmailing him. "Not a chance in hell, are you going to touch Maddy and my cubs." He growled defensively. "Then come with me, and be my alpha male." She said. "No.. I NEVER liked you Jana. And I NEVER will!" Rhydian growled, and pinned Jana.

"Rhydian?" A voice said from behind, "where are ya?" Maddy tried to find a scent of her mate. "Maddy, stay there." Rhydian ordered. "Why?" She asked. "Just stay there!" He barked. Maddy sighed and stood facing the direction of the voice. "Just come with me, and everything will be fine with your mate and cubs." Jana smiled, knowing that Maddy had heard. "What the hell? Give me my damn vision back so I could kill you Jana!" Maddy growled, her eyes changing to yellow, veins turning ink black, hands turning into paws, a muzzle growing out, and fur sprouting out of her skin.

Maddy's sight came back, and she leaped on top of Rhydian, knocking him off, and jumped on top of Jana, her eyes changing to red and blue, and began trying to bite Jana's neck, Rhydian slowly recovering from his mate throwing him across the forest floor. Rhydian sent Maddy a mind message, she nodded and jumped off. She growled, trying to her attention. Jana was getting pissed, her veins turning black, and eyes changing color. Jana looked up, and around for Rhydian. Maddy turned to normal, but still ready to transform if provoked. "Jana, I'd watch out." Maddy said, seeing a blonde wolf jump from behind Jana, and knocking her over. Maddy's eyes turned red and blue, making Jana scream in pain.

Eventually, Jana was laying on the ground, out cold, foam rushing out of her mouth like a bloody river. "Let's go." Rhydian said as he turned to normal, and grabbed Maddy's hand and ran to the others.

The half-blood was gone, and the kids were hugging as tight as they could, and Daniel and Emma were just waking up from their attack. "Mom, Dad!" The cubs came running toward Maddy and Rhydian, and they hugged tightly. Maddy let go, and went to her parents aid. She helped them up and into the house, with help from the others.

"Mam, Dad, what happened out there?" Maddy asked her parents. "We heard the cubs howling for help so we went out to see what was going on, and we saw them cowered against a wall, staring at something in the brush. We asked what was wrong, and then we were thrown against the house by something, and that was when we blacked out, I think?" Emma said, her eyes ghost white, as if she was scared. "Mam, Dad, why didn't you come get us?" Maddy asked, a confused expression crossed her face. "We tried Maddy. We couldn't find ya." Daniel said, firmly. "We were sleeping." Rhydian looked at Maddy, then back to Daniel.

"Well, it doesn't matter, it's over. But all of you need to learn to control you powers, to make it stronger or duller, or even other possible abilities with each of your powers," Emma said, "you need to train if the tames are going to bring the wolfbloods together." She finished, firmly. "Yeah, mam, I get it. We can try tomorrow, okay?" Maddy said, and looked at Rhydian. He nodded, and looked back at Emma. "Okay, then.. we start at noon." She said. "Fine." Maddy said snarky, pulling Rhydian up the stairs. He looked at Emma and silently said, "Help Me!". Emma laughed, and shook her head, and looked at the cubs who were playing with toys, and chasing each other around the house.

"I can't believe me mam!" Maddy yelled when she slammed the door as they walked in. "Mads, she's just doing what she thinks right." Rhydian said, calmly. "No! She's not, she's just doing it to annoy me. I can control my power, I don't need her telling me what I need to do! I'm not a cub!" She barked at Rhydian. "Whatever, Maddy. I'm not gonna stand here, and listen to you complain." He said, turning around, and shutting the door. Maddy sighed, and slumped down onto the bed, whipping away a tear every now and then.

"Hey, daddy, come here!" Fallon and James hollered to Rhydian. He sighed, and walked over to them. "What is it, guys?" He said, kneeling down, and rubbing their heads a bit. "Can we play on your phone?" Fallon asked, giggling. "Sure, just share, and no more games on my phone, okay?" He said, with a stern expression on his face. "Yes, daddy." They said in unison. Rhydian smiled, and looked at Emma and Dan. "I'm going for a walk." He said, and walked out the door. "Okay, be back before din-…. Why did I bother?" Emma said, shaking her head, and continued to cook.

A few hours later, Maddy walked down stairs with bloodshot eyes and dried tears on her face. "Mam, I'm sorry." She said. "It's okay, pet." Emma said, hugging her daughter. "Where's Rhydian?" Maddy asked, looking around for her mate. "He went for a walk, we couldn't stop him." Daniel said, looking at his cubs face. "I need to find him. I'll be back, in a few minutes, promise!" Maddy said, slightly panicked, kissing her mom and dad on the cheek, and ran out. It was pouring down cats and dogs, and hid his scent extremely well, but there was a slight scent left. Maddy raced with it, but eventually it faded away completely. Maddy growled, and kneeled down. Her fingers spread into a cone, and looked at the sky. Eolas took her to their tree, and Rhydian was leaning against it, his clothing soaked head to toe, and of that wasn't bad enough he had bloodshot eyes, and dried tears on his face.

"What have I done?" Maddy sighed, and began racing toward Rhydian. His scent came into range, and she smiled. Maddy began to jog toward him, and saw him. "Rhydian, I'm sorry." She said, and began to walk toward him. Rhydian ignored her, and was still leaning against the tree, not even looking at her. "Rhydian, I'm sorry. I'm really am." She said, waiting for a response. Still Rhydian stood still by the tree. "Rhydian….please." She begged, and walked up to him, "Please." She said, again. "It's fine, Mads. I forgive you." Rhydian said, kissing her lightly. She smiled, and walked back hand in hand.

As they walked back to the house, each of them felt watched. Twigs snapped, and there was the sound of footprints, they stopped and looked around. They heard something and turned, and then they were pinned under something, but when their heads hit the ground, they blacked out.

Rhydian slowly woke, he noticed he was standing up, in the middle of a forest, his hands tied behind his back, his feet also, and blood was coming out of his mouth, right ear, and nose. He looked over, and saw Maddy. "Maddy, can you hear me?" Rhydian said, panicked. "Rhydian? Rhydian, where are you?!" She began to cry out. Rhydian tried to calm her down. "We're trapped. Our arms, and legs are tied. You just have a blind fold on." He said, trying to keep calm. "Rhydian, we have to get out of here!" Maddy panicked, and tried to transform. "Mads, don't! It will break every break every bone in your body." Rhydian yelled at her. "Well, how do you want to get out here?" Maddy asked, tried to use her strength to break the ropes. "Stay calm," Rhydian said, "I have an idea. Maddy howl as loud as you can." He said. "Okay?" She said confused. Each of them howled at the top of their lungs hoping that someone would hear their cries.

"Don't bother. No one can here you all the way out here." A voice said, and walked between the trees. "What do you want, Jana?" Rhydian growled. "You know." She said. "Laney, get the girl." Jana said, and Maddy was taken from the tree. Maddy fought, but the half-blood was to strong, and was tied back up but the opposite direction. "Jana, what are you doing?" Rhydian growled, his eyes flashing to yellow, and veins turning ink black. "Let Maddy go!" Rhydian yelled, and howling for help. The half-blood walked off but came back with a whip and gave it to Jana. "Rhydian, what's going on?!" Maddy yelped in panic, trying to squirm as her shirt was lifted over her head. "Jana! Stop, please!" Rhydian begged. "Sorry, can't do that." Jana smirked. The whips tail, met Maddy's skin. Blood gushed out like a river, and with every strike Maddy screamed louder and louder, Rhydian kept calling for help.

The forest was silent other than the screams of them. "Stop, please!" They pleaded.

"Stop? STOP? Trust me, I haven't even started!"

Hey guys, this is the longest chapter I've written for this series, and GOD! I had so many writers block moments, it would've been longer, but…. I didn't want to spoil to much. I wasn't even supposed to tell you who was hurting them, but I couldn't think of anything. Sowwy… But anyway, yep… I just want you guys to know there are only 7 or 8 more chapters in this series, and I'm trying to finish before season 3 airs, so expect a lot more coming up. If ya'll have any ideas for me to use in the next few chapters, just say them in the Reviews or Message me. Love you guys! -Whitie
