Chapter 13: A near death experience

It was the next day, Rhydian and Maddy were still tied to the trees, Maddy still tied forward and her blood of the wounds seeking threw her shirt. "Rh-Rhydian?" Maddy weakly said, sobbing. "Maddy, you okay?" Rhydian said, concerned of his mate, his back feeling like knives digging into his flesh, wounds slightly forming on is back identical to Maddy's, same pain but less of the blood. "We need to get out of here." Maddy cried, trying to tug the ropes free. She began to playing with the ropes with her fingers trying to untie it. "Mads, it's no use." Rhydian sighed, a tear streaming down his face, looking at Maddy's bleeding back. "I'm so sorry, Mads. It's my fault." He sighed, and a clear drop slipping out of his eyes. "No, it's not, Rhydian. It's mine, I'm the one who drove ya crazy, and made you come out here." She looked at his Redding cheeks, Bloodshot eyes, and his tears slipping from his eyes. Maddy sighed, and looked down at the ground, her hair falling in front of her chocolate brown eyes, and tears falling from them. "Maddy, It's not. It was mine, I should've kept my cool, and not have ran out. I know what you're like sometimes." Rhydian said, sobbing slightly, looking at his mate. "Someone will find us Mads, stay strong." He sighed, looking down at his feet.

Tom and Shannon were walking to Rhydian's house, hand in hand. They stopped when Tom's phone began to ring, which made Shannon jump. "Hello?" Tom said. "Tom, Is Maddy or Rhydian with you?" The voice said. "No, Mr. Smith. We haven't seen them since the beginning of break, we were just about to go to Rhydian's house, what's wrong?" He said, slightly panicked. "Tom, give it here." Shannon said, worried.Tom put it on speaker phone, and then Mr. Smith continued, "Maddy and Rhydian got into an argument, and Rhydian ran out. Maddy came out a while later and followed him, but we haven't seen them since." Tom and Shannon looked at each other each with a confused look on their faces. "Tell us if you find them." They said in unison. "Same." Mr. Smith said hanging up. Tom and Shannon looked at each, and ran to Rhydian's house like bats out of hell.

Emma and Daniel were frantic. "What about Eolas?" Dan said, franticly. "Dan, do you think you could do it?" Emma said, despising it when he said Eolas, but what choice did they have? "I think I can. Let me think of how the wild pack did it." He said, and walked outside. He made sure no one was watching, he knelt down, laid his fingers against the ground, and looked up. He kept calm, trying to think of Maddy and Rhydian. And finally he did it. It began to flash to places, and eventually leading to Maddy and Rhydian, and he saw their condition, he yanked out of Eolas. "They're in trouble." He said, looking to Emma. "What's wrong?" She said, panicked as a scared expression plastered on her face. "I'll be back, stay here." He said, beginning to run off. "No, Maddy is my daughter too, Sicilia, watch the others." Emma said, turning to Sicilia, who nodded, and she ran off.

Shannon and Tom arrived at Rhydian's house, and ran inside. "Daniel, Emma?!" They each said, at the same time. Sicilia walked out from the living room, and looked at them. "Their gone. They left to find Mam and Dad." Sicilia said, and walked back into the living room. Shannon and Tom sighed, and followed.

Rhydian's head jerked up, along with Maddy, they sniffed. And looked at each other, and smiled. But then, their eyes turned yellow when they smelled Jana and the Half-Blood. Maddy looked at Rhydian, tears forming in her eyes, and a scared, ghostly white expression plastered onto her face. "So, how are you guys?" Jana said, walking up to them with the whip. She took advantage of Maddy and Rhydian being tied up, Jana looked over to Rhydian, and kissed him forcefully. Rhydian growled, and yanked his head to the side, his eyes turning yellow, as he looked at Maddy, who was starting to cry. Jana jerked her head up, and sniffed. She growled, and smacked Rhydian, who instinctively growled at her as his cheek began to turn red. "Laney, give it here." Jana ordered, who's eyes were now a bright yellow. Laney dropped the whip in Jana's hands, who turned to Maddy. "Jana, please, leave Maddy alone." He said, pleading. "Nope." She turned to Rhydian, and kissed him. He spit, and whipped it on his shoulder.

Jana grinned, and walked over to Maddy, and pulled her shirt over her head. "Jana! Stop!" Rhydian begged, trying to break free. Jana looked over to him, then back to Maddy. Once again, the whips tail met Maddy's bruised and bleeding skin. With every whip, Maddy yelped, as well as Rhydian. They got louder every hit, both of them getting weaker. Jana was about to finish Maddy's beating, when she was knocked off her feet, the whip falling out of her hand. Maddy's weakly tried looking over, unable to move her neck very well, but she could hear growling from behind her, gagging, and screaming. Eventually, Maddy's shirt was pulled off of her head, and Rhydian ran in front of her. "Rhydian." She smiled, as he was trying to cut the thick rope with his pocket knife.

The rope broke, and both Maddy and Rhydian hugged lightly trying to avoid each other's wounds, and they kissed lightly. "Ehem." Mr. Smith coughed, looking at them. "Mam, Dad!" Maddy quickly ran over to them and hugged them tightly. They smiled, and let go of each other, each of them whipping tears from their faces. Maddy turned to Rhydian, who was a crying mess, but with joy. Maddy smiled, and walked over to him, and weakly pulled down his face, and kissed him. "Once again, Rhydian, It's not your fault." She said, the clear liquid forming in her eyes, and her cheeks Redding. Rhydian smiled, and whipped her tears off of her bright red cheeks. Rhydian lightly laid his arm on her shoulders, and then she laid her head on his chest, they each smiled. "Can we go home now?" Maddy asked her parents, turning around. "Yes, please." Emma said, smiling, and began walking off with Daniel, with one hand, and Maddy in the other, with Rhydian's shoulder across her shoulders.

It took a while to get back to Rhydian's house, due to Maddy's wounds and blood loss. They weakly walked into the house, both pairs hand in hand. "Mam, Dad!" The three cubs racing to their parents, hugging them as tight as they could, and when they began the hug, Maddy looked up at Rhydian with a smile, and then the cubs accidently squeezed Maddy's wounds. Rhydian and Maddy yelped in pain, and they cubs yanked off. "Sorry Mam, Sorry Dad." Sicilia, James, and Fallon all said in unison. "No, it's fine." Maddy said lightly, lightly hugging them. Maddy sniffed, and looked around. "Shan? Tom?" She said, and went into the living room. "Mads!" They said, and quickly hugged, and let go. "Are you okay?" Tom said, worried, seeing Maddy's bloodshot eyes, red cheeks, and her blood soaked shirt. Maddy turned to Rhydian, who was leant against a wall, as white as a ghost, identical to Maddy's skin. Their eyes turning silver, they began shaking, and they passed out.

"Get them up stairs. I'm going to have to sow them up or they will die in a matter of a few hours." Emma said, racing to a cabinet, and pulling out a needle and thread. Daniel picked up Rhydian, and Tom picked up Maddy and raced up the stairs, placed them on Rhydian's bed, and franticly walked out when Emma walked in with towels, a needle, tons of rolls of thread, and a whole lot of plasters. She took off their shirts, and flipped them onto their stomachs. She looked and tears fell from her eyes, and began stitching Maddy's wounds, whipping the blood as she was close to finishing, and then she finished up, and tied a knot at the end of stitch line. She copied the same process on Rhydian's wounds, turned them back over, began to put plasters on them, and then taped it into place. She slid the towels underneath their backs, kissed Maddy on the head, and walked out of the room with her eyes foaming with crystal clear liquid.

Emma walked down the stairs, tears streaming down her face. "We just have to wait." Emma said to the rest of them, walking over and sitting down beside Daniel, and buried her face in his chest. Everyone sighed, and looked down at their feet. "Hey, won't the wounds heal by morning?" Shannon said, looking over at Emma and Dan. "No, not by morning, the wounds are to deep and large to heal," Emma said, looking up. "and it's also a no moon day tomorrow." She whined. "Oh.." Shannon said, "sorry." She looked down to the feet. "It's okay Shannon, you didn't know." Emma said. Shannon nodded, and laid on Tom's shoulder.

It was the next day, everyone was asleep on the couch, but Maddy and Rhydian were beginning to stir from their slumber. Rhydian was the first to wake up, he looked around confused, then he shook his head trying to wake himself up. He looked down, seeing Maddy, he grinned and sat up. "Ouch, shit." He groaned, feeling a strong pain on his back. Rhydian tried to ignore it, and tiredly stood up. "Ugh, I hate no moon days." He complained as always, tiredly walking out the door not even caring that her didn't have a shirt on.

He tripped over his steps, as he walked down the hall. "Oh, great." He whined, and walked down the stairs, still tripping over his feet. Rhydian groaned as he landed at the bottom of the stairs, and began limply walking into the kitchen, and began rummaging through the refrigerator for something to eat. "Nope." He growled, and threw some toast into the toaster, and walked into the living room and saw everyone zonked out on the couch, but with all of the wolfbloods snoring away, he had no idea how Tom and Shannon were sound asleep. Rhydian shook his head, and walked back into the kitchen, and got his toast. He began to eat it.

A sluggish Maddy walked into the kitchen without Rhydian knowing, she took out a glass, and filled it with orange juice. "Oh, hey." Rhydian said, startled. "Hi." She groaned, taking a sip of her orange juice, sitting down, and she finished buttoning Rhydian's shirt onto herself. "Hey, that's my shirt." He smirked lightly. "Yes, you will just have to deal with it." She giggled, quietly. Maddy snatched a piece of his toast from his plate, and took a bite from it.

Rhydian shook his head, and chuckled lightly. He finished his one piece, and began trotting back up the stairs. "Gee, thanks." Maddy groaned, and finished her breakfast, and followed him. They each slumped down onto the bed, and snuggled together. Rhydian kissed her head, and she looked up at him. "Uh… What was that?" She giggled lightly. A sly look plastered on his face, and kissed her on the lips. "Much better." She smiled, and laid her head back down onto his chest, and quickly fell asleep. Rhydian looked down again, smiled, and then fell asleep.

The door flew open, and in came a woman, with a ton of luggage. The woman looked around.

"Rhydian?!"
