~Mercedes's P.O.V.~

After Laura, Dean and I got back from hell we sat in silence, everyone too disbelieving of what just happened to speak a word. Adam and Sam kept pressing for answers though. I left Laura and Dean to explain what happened to Sam while I pulled Adam aside.

"What the hell happened in there?" Adam paused, just long enough to contemplate the irony of his choice of words.

"Hell." I started, my mind going over a million possible ways to phrase what happened. I decided to start with the obvious. "Aria isn't coming home. She's made up her mind, and Abaddon has helped her."

Adam looked to the ground. As much Aria was Dean and Laura's kid, Adam helped me raise her for those twelve years. She is just as much our responsibility as she is to the parents that were taken from her. I felt the guilt that weighed on him, I knew Adam felt responsible for everything that happened. He wasn't there the night of the fire. Having taken the night shift at his job he came home in the morning to find the house in ruins.

He thought I'd died with the house and when I found him, searching restlessly through the burnt ashes I hesitated. Just the thought of telling him what Aria had done to the house, to Bobby. But it was too much to handle without someone else. Adam and I tried our best to move on, I told myself that Laura, Jess, Sam and Dean were never coming back, Adam wrestled with his guilt and the dark truth that Aria wouldn't return.

We'd always hoped...that she was out there remembering the family she had with us, working up the courage to come back to us. Now that the truth was plain to see, it was harder than ever to accept.

"She's really the queen of hell now, then?" I grimly nodded my head. Adam grew silent once more. I could see the darkness in his eyes, hidden from plain view by his long bangs. I didn't know how to deal with the information we'd been hit with, but I knew that I wanted Adam beside me through all of it. It may have been selfish, to wish for him to be my rock when he was the one who needed support, but then again, our relationship had always been the selfish kind, relying on each other for support, gathering strength from the others company.

I pulled him into an embrace, his arms wrapped around my waist delicately. My hands clung to his shirt and I felt tears wet his shoulder. I held on tight, feeling like I'd break the delicate way he held me back. Like a child holding onto it's teddy bear. The embrace that was returned to me was soft and weak but loving all the same.

~Sam's P.O.V.~

I sat next to Jess on the couch while Laura paced the room thinking of ways to get Aria back. Every once in a while she would stop in her tracks and then keep going. Dean was calling her name, but she wouldn't respond. He stood up and forced her to stop.

"Laura! Calm down." He forced her eyes to look into his and for the first time since we got back from hell her stare didn't hold a million mile gaze.

"Calm down? Calm down?! How the hell can you say that?!" Laura's voice grew furious.

"Losing our heads now won't help us! We have to think of something to find her!" Laura and Dean went back and forth, arguing over every detail they could think of. But I wasn't really listening as Jess placed her hand on my knee.

She leaned in close, I could feel her minty breath on my ear and the scent that wafted from her was driving me crazy. None of that mattered though after what she said. "I want you to come with me to find Eli. I can't find him without you." Her tiny arm clung helplessly to my jacket sleeve. Honestly I'd been trying to quietly discover ways to find him on my own, I came up with nothing though. Now that Jess was asking me for help the guilt of leaving him filled my mind.

I grabbed her hand and squeezed, an indication that I wanted nothing more than to help. She faked a small smile. Before I could say anymore she sat up and interrupted Laura and Dean by putting herself between them. Jess's hair covered her eyes making her face unreadable.

"What's wrong?" Laura asked almost immediately her eyes narrowing to slits.

"We can't find them if we stick together...We'll all do a better job finding Aria and Eli if we split up."

"No no no no! That's not a good idea." Dean was immediately against the idea.

"Dean, she's right. You know it's the only way we can find them." I stood up and addressed him, if anyone was going to change his mind it would be me. "Heaven, Hell, and Earth are too large. We can cover more ground if we look for them separately."

Dean looked incredulously at me. "Sam and I work better together."

"Dean, it's for the sake and safety of our kids. If Ben went missing and you had to split and go with Lisa, you would have in a heartbeat." I mentioned. Dean went quiet. I knew I had hit a nerve.

"Who's Lisa?" Laura asked curiously.

"No one important." Dean said quickly, trying to dismiss the subject. I gave him a look or warning. "Look," He started obviously annoyed. "that's not important right now, we need to stick together and find our kids...together."

"Babe, I'm sorry, but we are splitting up. It's the best way to cover more ground. If you don't like it then you'll have to get over it." Laura commanded. The way she resonated her voice dared anyone to defy her, though none of us wanted to, the look in her eye was murder.

Dean bowed his head because he knew that he was outnumbered. After a long silence he said, "Fine. We'll split up, find Aria and Eli and come back here."

Everyone stayed where they were awkwardly and voiced or nodded their agreement. We all slowly made our way out to the two different cars. Adam and Mercedes were told to stay incase either of the kids were seen or if we needed research done.

~Laura's P.O.V.~

Of course Dean and I took the impala, Jess and Sam took Adam's truck. Each car went in a different direction once we left the driveway. I was a little sad to leave Jess but that part of me was blotted out by the conviction I felt for finding Aria. Nothing was going to keep me from getting my little girl back. I've already lost one child to Abaddon, I'll be damned if I lose another.

I was rudely interrupted by my phone going off. I checked and saw it was Jess.

"Do you already miss me?" I laughed.

"I can't do this. I need you here." She sounded genuinely scared.

"Jess, breathe. You have Sam there. I'm a little scared, too, but this was the only option left. We'll be back together sooner than you think."

"Laura, what if we can't find them." Her voice came out a breathless whisper.

"Well, I'm pretty sure we already know where Aria is."

There was silence on the other end, I almost thought Jess had hung up on me. "YOU'RE NOT FUCKING HELPING!" She screamed on the other end, loud enough to make me cringe away from the phone and Dean was distracted from driving.

I was afraid to put the phone back to my ear. If Jess was going to scream my ear off, I didn't want any part of it, she could be scary when she was angry. But I couldn't really blame her. We were both just trying to find the family we lost twelve years ago.

"Low fucking blow, Laura!"

"...Sorry." I didn't dare say anymore until I knew Jess was calmed down a little.

I heard a deep sigh, "I'm just worried for Eli." She admitted again her voice dropping in volume significantly.

"Don't worry, Jess. We'll get through this. And I swear I'll plant Abaddon's fucking head on a spike and hold it as my royal scepter for all of hell to see!"

"That'd be a sight to see…" Jess trailed off and I hinted just a little bit of the playful joking we always used to share.

"You're damn right it will be! We should focus, though. You know you can call me on my phone or just pop into my mind and we can talk in private. Love you, bae!" With that I hung up and put my phone back in my pocket. I slowly scooted my way closer to Dean and he put his arm around my shoulder. It was silent for quite a while, except for the radio.

"Oh!" I scooted away and turned to face Dean as best I could. "Who are Lisa and Ben?"

The look on Dean's face was a little surprised and pained before it quickly changed to show no emotion.

"Who?" He asked his lips pursed, something I knew he did when he was upset.

"You know who they are. Sam mentioned them before we left, but you never answered me. Who are Lisa and Ben?" I repeated the question when he didn't reply, knowing he wanted to drop the subject, but I wasn't willing to do that.

It was a while before he responded again. "They're not important. Just someone I used to know."

"Someone you used to know?" I mocked. "That's bullshit tell me the truth!" If he wasn't willing to give me an answer I'd force it out of him.

"Laura-" His tone was less than cooperative.

"No! Don't do that! Don't avoid this. Tell me who Lisa and Ben are!"

Again, Dean thought for a long time, I could see how his jaw moved and teeth grinded. There was a sort of bittersweet remembrance in his eyes, but also a darkness I hadn't seen for a long time.

"If you won't tell me, I'm sure Cas will."

"It's not that I don't want to tell you, honey. It's just a painful memory." Dean sighed and continued. "I met Lisa back in '99. I was on my own while Sam and John were hunting a banshee. We spent a week together."

"Ok. who is Ben?"

"Ben is Lisa's son. After Sam was in Hell, or I thought he was, I stayed with Ben and Lisa for a year. They gave me the apple pie life I wanted...for a short time." My gaze fell down to my lap. "A lot of shit happened once Sam came back. Lisa was being possessed by a demon. We saved her and Ben, then I- I had Cas wipe their memories of me. Me, Sam, and everything about the hunting world that I told her." By the end of the explanation Dean was crying softly. I just looked out the window, not saying a word.

~Aria's P.O.V.~

I watched Mom and Dad leave and the only thing running through my mind was why the hell didn't I smite them when they were right in front of me. It's not as if they ever did anything for me! They left me in that warehouse! Adam and Mercedes were the only people to take care of me...them and Bobby.

There was a clash and breaking of wood, the table holding a map of hell on it had been toppled over in my rage. With Bobby running through my mind I couldn't think straight, fire rose up around me. If it wasn't for Sebastian loudly announcing his entrance I probably would have burned all of hell.

"Wow. This much rage after one visit from family? Reunions must be a bitch."

"What do you want, Sebastian?!" I shouted at him none too politely, he'd walked in on my throne room too many times for my liking. If he wasn't here to grovel and plead his loyalty to his one true Queen of Hell, I wasn't interested.

"No need to be testy." Sebastian smiled playfully, his fangs out and tongue licking the tips lovingly. That boy is way too into this whole vampire thing… Whenever I saw him like this my blood curdles, I detest his claim to my bloodline. Laura didn't even care about him, she just felt pity on an infant then sent him to be raised by a Nanny his whole life. That woman didn't care about anyone, she was no mother. "I came to brief you on the daily patrols." My jaw tightened, I turned away and waved a hand for him to continue. "There has been talk about the newcomers to hell." I glanced over at him, his expression meaning to confirm these newcomers he talked of were my parents. "Crowley has had a big mouth with the wrong demons. Now demons are getting ready for Laura to take back her throne."

"IT'S NOT HER THRONE!" I wheeled to face him, the torches flaring up on the wall. "It was never her throne!"

Sebastian continued talking, slight discontent showing in his fading smile, "Nonetheless they're loyalty is wavering. Apparently many demons think you will not stand a chance against your mother. They are choosing a side before everything falls to dust."

"My kingdom will not be ravaged by this has-been! What are we doing to these disloyal demons?"

"Abaddon has them in for questioning. She says she can break their souls."

"Good. If they don't want to be loyal then they can at least fear Abaddon."

Sebastian chuckled. I turned to question his jovial behavior. "Shouldn't you be the one they fear?"

"What?"

Sebastian shifted his feet, his head hanging down before a little confidence returned to his face. "...If you so wish to build up this 'kingdom' under your name, it would be of high interest to be the one on top, would it not?"

I got close to Sebastian, my three inch heels bringing me eyeheight with him. "Are you questioning my position as Queen?"

Sebastian chucked again. "Of course not, your majesty." Sarcasm dripped into his voice. That bastard does question my right to the throne.. "Though you may want to start acting as if you deserve it."

"I am acting as I damn well please, I'm the queen. Not you, not Abaddon, not Mom. I'm the queen. I'm the first born, it's my right to be queen."

"Only, you're not the first born, Aria." Sebastian stated.

"What are you talking about? Of course I am. I don't have any siblings. Well, unless Mom still has a soft side for you."

"Aria, do you ever leave this damn room and explore? Mom has put her whole life's history in the walls of this place. You just have to know how to look for the clues."

"What clues?" I sat down on my throne.

"I'll let you know when you decide to get off your high horse and have fun for once." Sebastian said as he exited the throne room, but before he closed the door he turned to me and said, "Call me when you want to actually not hate on Mom. You'll be surprised at what you'll learn." He closed the door and I was left to my thoughts.

It didn't take too long before Sebastian's words got to me. Dammit, if that asshole wants me to be his Queen then I will! I ran out of the room, chasing Sebastian's receding footsteps down the castle hallways.

"Wait a minute!" I called. He turned with a smug look, he expected me to run after him. "Tell me what you mean. About me not being the first born. I mean I know you're older than me but you're not her child."

"I wasn't talking about myself, dimwit." He teased. "How self-centered do you think I am? No, I meant your older brother." I gave him a questioning glare. "Before either of us were born there was Henry. Only Mom doesn't talk about him because of what happened."

"And what did happen?"

"Prophecy said Henry was supposed to inherit all of Mom's powers and more. Demons and angels waged a war on the boy's soul. In the end he didn't survive."

"Then where is he now? Heaven, hell, surely that wouldn't stop him from obtaining powers like Mom?"

"And it wouldn't. But no one knows where he is. Stuck in the void would be my guess, or worse...purgatory." I closed my mouth, thinking over what I'd just been told. "I'm sure if Henry had survived he'd be the King of hell now. And you wouldn't have even been born." There it was again, the mocking scorn in his tone that I loathed so much. Sebastian just loved to rub things in, especially things involving family. I wouldn't give him the satisfaction of a reaction though.

"Well, Henry's not ruler of hell, I am. And I'm doing a better job than him and Mom ever could have."

"You say that now…" A voice whispered loudly from the shadows. Sebastian just laughed. A tall boy, about my age came out from behind a pillar. "You're mother, my aunt, will claim her throne back. One way or another. She always finds a way to get what she wants."

"Elijah?" I was surprised and angered at the sight of him. "You're here, in hell?"

"Yeah. I have been this whole time. My mom and the angels wouldn't even dare to look for me here. Since I don't wanna be found it's the perfect spot."

"You can't just show yourself after twelve years! You left me alone in that warehouse! Our parents taught us to protect each other if they weren't around, even at a young age." I went up and punched him in the jaw, still angered by both him and Sebastian.

He rubbed his jaw where I'd hit him as he said; "What did you expect me to do?! I don't have extraordinary powers like you or my mom or anyone in our crazy family. I was only four!"

"I would have expected you to protect me and stay close to our family! Do we mean nothing to you?!" I was getting ready to punch him again.

"Actually yes. After twelve years, emotions sort of dull away."

"Then why are you here now?"

"I came to ask what your parents wanted. I thought they were all lost to the void."

"They were. Apparently they came back and now they want to be a family again." I crossed my arms and looked away trying to feign disinterest. "Though, I have no interest in being close to my mom, I do miss my dad. But, I can't let the unloyal demons know that. They'll use it against me."

"I miss my parents, but I'm not going to let them find me."

"Why? You could be up ruling heaven."

"I don't want it. My mom can keep it. I just want to do my own thing." He leant himself against the pillar.

"What? You just going to fly around the world smoking weed and doing drugs?"

"Possibly. If I want to."

"You're messed up you know that."

Eli chuckled a bit. "Says the Queen of abandonment issues."

"What did you just say!" I ran up to him ready to give him another punch this time with special demon queen powers added but Sebastian grabbed my arms and held me back. "You son of a bitch! I'll kill you!"

Eli didn't even looked fazed. "Please. Like you have the heart to kill me." He turned to Sebastian who was loudly cursing at me to stop. "Sebastian I need you help with a group of unruly vampires. When are you able to aid me?"

Sebastian didn't answer immediately. He was too busy holding me back. "Dammit you idiot will you calm down!"

I finally managed to free myself from Sebastian but I didn't try to go for Eli. Instead I righted my clothing and faced Sebastian with a stern look. "Next time you do that I'll have your head!" I made it a point to turn on my heel and walk away with purpose.

I heard the muffled plans being made by the two boys behind me.

"Yeah, I'll talk to those vampires if you want me to but do I get to kill anyone?"

"I just need you to talk them into moving to a different nest. One where they won't cause so much trouble. If you must kill I have no qualms about it."

~Elijah's P.O.V.~

"So what's with this nest of vamps anyway? Why are you so concerned with them?" Sebastian asked, his arms resting on top of his head while we walked to to the nest.

"They have something I want." I'd managed to maintain a disconcerting look this whole time and I wasn't going to break that facade for Sebastian. In the twelve years I'd known him he'd always been nosy. Always interested in affairs that he shouldn't be. One quality I never much cared for in him.

"Is that it?"

"Pretty much." Sebastian kept looking at me. I knew he wanted more of an answer from me. "Why are you looking at me like that?" I questioned his glare of expectancy.

"Just wondering what you could want from vampires."

I stopped and turned to Sebastian. "Look you're here to talk to these vamps for me not to interrogate me! If I went in there alone it'd be a slaughterhouse and I might not end up the victor. You're my way of avoiding conflict and thats it, got it?"

"Aye, aye captain." He replied in a flat tone.

The minute we walked inside the vampires rented apartment complex the smell of blood filled my nostrils. Instinctively curling up my nose I walked over to the first vamp I saw.

"What are you doing in here?!" He demanded. I flashed him my angel eyes while Seb showed his teeth.

"Don't worry." Seb took the lead, walking in front of me. "We're only here to talk, you know the boring stuff."

The vampire reeled back when Sebastian stepped up. "R-right. If he's with you then of course."

Sebastian walked passed him flashing a thumbs up. "You know them?" I asked, catching up to him.

"I'm sort of their leader. Just one of the few nests I lead."

"One of them?"

"Yup. Any problems you have with them we'll discuss with the whole nest. Maybe we can work out a deal. My nests safe relocation for whatever it is you want?"

I looked around at the nest, it was filled with new vamps still heavily reliant on fresh blood and the older vampires showing them the ropes. "Sure. As long as I get what I came for."

The nest meeting started soon after. Sebastian's underlings were getting killed off by the bunch, thats when they started making trouble in the streets, to fight back. Word got around about a group of young vamps dealing drugs, Sebastian wanted his nest relocated and I wanted the drugs they cartelled. We came to an agreement after thirty minutes of talk.

I was to guard the underlings while they travel, using my angel powers to be their bodyguard and in return they'd give me all the drugs in their possession.

I shook hands with Sebastian when the meeting was over. "I never took you for an addict, Eli." Sebastian started with his usual big nose.

"I know my mom would kill me if she saw me with these. Which is exactly why I want them."

"Do you really have no emotions or are you just faking? Something like that I'd expect to be said with a lot of emotion behind the meaning but you said that as if it's nothing."

"I guess you'll just have to find that out for yourself." I told him looking him in the eye never breaking my stoic stature. He dropped the subject at that and we made our way back to Hell.

~Sam's P.O.V.~

Jess and I drove around looking everywhere for Eli. We were just on our fourth city after getting no leads on him. The small lead Cas gave us proved fruitless for the most part. I was driving, keeping an eye out for any suspicious angel behavior and keeping an open mind about where our son could be. Jess seemed to have lost her steam, and her hope as she stared out the window her elbow propped up on the door, holding her head up. I was just about to pull over and think up a new gameplan with her when she nearly jumped out of her seat.

"ELIJAH!" She shouted and was out of the moving car within seconds. Parking on the side of the main street I followed her.

She was standing alone forlornly across the street. "Jess, did you see him?" I ran up to her. She was shaking and tears were beginning to form in her eyes, but underneath the fear and sadness I saw unbridled rage.

"He disappeared before I could get to him. That boy...using his angel powers to escape us."

"Th-that means he saw you too!?"

Jess just nodded. She took a deep breath then. "I don't understand why he wants to avoid us but when we find that boy I'll rip his tainted lungs out!" I shoot her a look, asking for an explanation. "Our kid had a joint in his mouth! He was smoking! Drugs! My kid doing drugs! How the hell could this happen!...DAMMIT!" She kicked over a trash can in her fury, only her Seraph powers added an extra mini explosion and the pavement was left cracked. "We should have been there to raise him! Now he's out doing drugs with a vampire! There was a vampire with him!"

She was pacing back and forth furiously. "Just stay calm, we'll find him." I wasn't sure if she heard me as she kept up her pacing. I rubbed my face trying to process all this information. Jessica ripped out her phone and furiously punched the call button.

"What are you doing?"

"Calling Laura…" She replied with a sad look. I knew being apart like this was killing her. We were all losing our family in more ways than one. "C'mon pick up your damn phone!" She shouted to the ringing line. After a few more minutes Laura picked up. I heard her angry 'What?' when she answered. Jess explained how she saw Eli. It was faint but over the other line I heard Laura's voice;

"Well if I was your kid I'd be doing drugs too." Jess's face turned instantly red and her nostrils flared. In the blink of an eye she was gone and the phone fell to the ground, miraculously not cracking.

I picked it up and heard Laura; "Jess? Where are yo- OH MY SATAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" There was a sound of a powerful punch colliding with someones face, Laura yelled, cursed and more crashing sounds were heard. Jessica zapped back to me, her ponytail slightly ruffled and her bangs now falling out. She drew a large breath and huffed out angrily taking the phone out of my hands.

When Jess answered the phone she continued as if nothing had happened and she hadn't just beat the crap out of her best friend. "I'm serious, Laura. Have you had any luck talking to Aria maybe her and Eli kept in touch with her all these years."

"No we're not even allowed to get close to hell! Why'd you have to punch me so hard you bitch!?"

"Alright well let me know if you contact Aria she might know where Eli is." I heard Laura shouting over the phone but Jess pointedly hit the end call button and shoved the phone back in her coat pocket. She walked past me back to the car.

"Jess?"

"Let's go, we're wasting time." She completely refused my concern and sat back in the passenger seat.
