A/N: Hey guys I'm back with another chapter! In this chapter we find out what cancer Blaine has and how serious it is. Right now I don't know if I want him to die or not, as he is one of my favourite characters but again, it depends on how I feel. Now enough jibber-jabber from me and onto the story! And remember, R&R PLEASE!
Disclaimer: Go back to chapter 1 cause I don't want to keep writing it in every chapter
Chapter 2
Blaine sighed as he sat in the passenger side of Cooper's car on the way to the hospital for tests to determine what cancer he had and how serious it was. Sensing his quietness, Cooper glanced over at his brother and asked, "Are you ok, B?"
"Yeah." Came the reply then silence again. Blaine stared out the window and he went into a flashback of finding out he had cancer:
Blaine was having a lot of severe headachesand they were so severe that he often collapsed. Kurt had taken him to several doctors that told them that they were just migraines and gave Blaine pills to lessen the pain but the pain didn't lessen, it got worse so they went to the hospital and met with an Oncologist.
"Hello, I'm Dr. Johnson." The Oncologist said, shaking Blaine and Kurt's hands.
"I'm Kurt and this is my husband Blaine." Kurt replied.
"I heard that Blaine has been having severe headaches." Dr. Johnson asked.
"We've been to several doctors who checked him and said they were migraines and gave him pills to 'lessen the pain' but it only made it worse." Kurt frowned.
"Alright, we need to do some blood work to determine the cause of these severe headaches so Blaine, I need you to get on the bed and lift your sleeve up."
Blaine nodded and laid on the bed, rolling up his sleeve and Dr. Johnson started the blood work.
Minutes later, the blood work was done and sent to the lab and Blaine was given food and drink to have as the results came back so Dr. Johnson took a look at it then said, "Blaine, I have bad news. You have cancer."
Cancer. The word went through Blaine's mind as he stared at Dr. Johnson blankly, thoughts of Chemo and death going through his mind then he broke down in tears, Kurt rushing to his side to hold him.
Blaine was brought out of his thoughts by Cooper shaking him and saying, "B, we're here." Blaine got out and started walking towards the doors with his hands in his pockets and his head down, his usually gelled hair in wild, untamed curls that went everywhere because he didn't have the energy to gel it. Kurt had wanted to come but Blaine told him that he'd tell him as soon as he found out what he had.
Blaine and Cooper sat and waited to be called in, Cooper reading a magazine and Blaine watching what was on TV. When they were called in, Cooper and Blaine followed the nurse to the examination room and seconds later, Dr. Johnson walked in and shook their hands and Blaine laid on the bed then Dr. Johnson started the CT scan where Blaine had to stay very still which was hard but he did it.
After the scan was done, Dr. Johnson looked at the results and she turned very serious, going back to Coop and Blaine then she said, "The results show that there's a large tumor in Blaine's brain. It looks to be at stage 2 or stage 3 so Chemo will have to be immediately."
Blaine broke down in tears again and he sobbed, "This can't be happening!" And Coop pulled Blaine into a hug then whispered, "Shhhhh it'll be ok, B. I promise."
Blaine sniffed and said, "C-can we stop by the school so I can update them?"
"Sure, baby brother." Cooper replied.
Dr. Johnson came back with the stuff for the Chemo and Blaine gulped but held Cooper's hand then when it was done, Dr. Johnson said, "Twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays and here's a list of things he can and can't eat and the side-effects to the Chemo. He also needs to stay inside or bundle up well on cold days so he doesn't get sick or it could be serious. Same goes if someone is sick he can't be around anyone who is sick because Chemo causes the immune system to become weak against infections so Blaine can get sick easier."
Coop nodded and said, "I'm in Lima for a while until Blaine gets better then I'm going back to L.A. and my agent knows this so I'm on leave since it's a family emergency and my agent was very understanding about it. While I'm here, he'll be under my care so I'll be bringing him to his appointments."
Dr. Johnson nodded and said, "I understand. You're an amazing big brother." To which Coop smiled and replied, "I love him to bits. But one question, is he undergoing surgery to remove the tumor?"
Dr. Johnson nodded and said, "We have to see if the Chemo shrinks the tumor to a safe size so we can operate but until then, we can't do anything because it would be risking his life."
Coop nodded and said, "Thanks, Doctor. See you Thursday."
Dr. Johnson waved as Coop left with Blaine who was feeling tired already and they got in the car then Coop drove to the school. When they got to the school, Coop helped Blaine inside and to the choir room then he knocked and opened the door as he said, "Hey, guys!"
Rachel stood and said, "How was everything? We need details now!" So Coop sat Blaine on the empty chair and sighed deeply, meaning it was bad so he turned to the kids and said, "Blaine has stage 3 brain cancer. They found a large tumor on his brain and the doctor said it was risky to start surgery now so she said they will wait and see if the chemo will shrink the tumor to a safe size to operate on. They had to start chemo early cause of how big it was."
Everyone was silent then Madison said, "We're all here for you, Blaine. You're a fighter so you can beat this I believe in you." Blaine smiled tiredly then said, "Thanks, Madison." Then Mason asked, "So you're off of school?" Coop nodded and replied, "Yes, he's off of school for the remainder of the year until he beats the cancer. He needs rest because the chemo makes him exhausted so I'm keeping him in bed but when he feels like it, I'll bring him in to visit and you guys can come visit too if he's not too tired."
There was silence again before Roderick asked, "So...is he going to lose his hair?" and Coop shook his head then said, "No. This is a different kind of chemo so there's no hair loss." Mr. Schue leaned towards Coop and whispered, "Looks like Blaine needs to be in bed because he fell asleep."
