So Sane can't keep people in character and Lon'qu suddenly became a very OCC girly-man...

Fair warning: This chapter is kind of graphic. Not sexually explicit or anything, but I wanted this to be a very reflective and emotional chapter to follow up the last one. So the chapter will naturally touch on some things that are a bit... Romantic? I guess..? I'm trying to keep this T, but after this chapter I might be forced to move it to the M category, depending on how the reviewers see it. Just the way I have it in my head, it's really borderline...

Also, I feel like I should cover my own ass and say I have zero experience in this topic so if something is weird as all get out... Yah.

It's not like the books at all. Sex. It's even less like the fanfictions. Sure, the actual descriptions of the act itself may be pretty spot-on, but how many combinations of 'Tab A meets Slot B' can you have? But something that you'll never find in any book, fanfiction, or any other literature no matter how hard you look is the emotion, and the reflection, and just... Everything else you can't explain. Sure, there's how it starts. The need. The illogical urges.

I need you.

I need you.

I want you.

I want you.

I love you.

Then there's just the... Union.

It's awkward. Your hands shake, your heart races, you breathe weird...

And if you're me, you make that weird dying animal sound when you inhale.

But union...

Slow kisses, nothing but love. They keep happening, feather light. Cheeks, lips, nose, anything you can reach.

Then they get aggressive.

The need sets in again, you kiss harder, kiss more, deeper. You just need so much of the other person. You need everything they have to offer.

Clothes come off. They're tossed aside, to hell with them. You pause, you look, you blush, then you get curious. You touch, feel the new skin beneath the tips of your fingers. The new sensation is something you can't quite explain. Why does their skin feel so different? What is it composed of that makes it so warm and electric to the touch?

The cold sets in, your bodies draw closer.

Then you just...

Do.

Evolution, nature, instinct... It happens, unaided. Bam. It's not coordinated, it's not uncoordinated, it's all action-reaction and it works and how that happens I don't think anyone knows. They move, so you move, which makes them move again. It just keeps happening until you stop.

Then you pause, catch your breath. And...

You're tired.

Mentally. Your head feels fuzzy. Your body is slow to respond, but it does. You're not paralyzed. You could go run a marathon if you really wanted to. But you don't. You smile. Or maybe you chuckle nervously.

Or if you're me, you do both.

Then you pull each other close. You're not done being together yet. Skin touches skin and you feel the warmth move through you.

But you're still cold so you pull up the blanket.

You hold each other close, you kiss a few more times, but there's no need. You already sated that need. There's just love. It's so slow, it's so delicate. And it's once.

But I had to sneak in one more.

You don't want to close your eyes, but they lower anyway. They droop and you try to force them open but they still drop because you've been satisfied and it's just time for you to go to sleep. So finally you let them drop. You take one last look at the man or the woman whose arms you are securely nestled in and you smile and you close your eyes and you just sleep.

I remember when I fell asleep, Lon'qu was holding me. Our chests touched and I was resting my head against his neck. I could feel his heart beating, feel his breath caress the top of my head each time he exhaled. I would've been happy if it was the only thing I would feel for the rest of my life. I fell asleep. When I woke up, I wasn't really awake, I was more like that strange place between sleep and wake. I remember when I opened my eyes, Lon'qu was on his back now, my head was resting on his chest as it rose and fell with each breath. One of his arms was around me, the other was outstretched and hung over the edge of his bed. I remember smiling before falling back into sleep.

The next time I woke up, Lon'qu was stroking my head. A very small amount of light was coming into the room, the earliest rays of the sun finally coming to greet us. Lon'qu smiled when he saw my eyes flutter open.

"You're here..." He whispered.

His voice was so impossibly quiet, he wasn't the hard Myrmidon that he was in the game. He was a man with a soft soul and warm heart.

"Of course I'm here." I said.

He moved his hand and caressed my cheek.

"I was honestly afraid I'd wake up and you wouldn't be here."

He smiled at me, but there was a hint of sadness in it.

"Why wouldn't I be here?"

"Rumour travels fast Sane... You seem to think that the Outrealms are going to snatch you right up..."

I frowned.

"I... Had reasons for not wanting to get close to anyone."

"Had, so they're gone now right?"

"..."

Lon'qu continued to smile and caress me.

"Sane... As long as you're around... Stay with me, alright?"

He looked at me with pleading eyes that made me melt.

"I... Alright Lon'qu... As long as I'm here, you're going to be stuck with me."

I smiled.

"I'm... Glad you opened up to me..." I said quietly.

"I need someone who I can be with I guess. I've never had that before..."

I laced my fingers together with Lon'qu's.

"When I met you I couldn't stand you." He admitted.

"I thought you were just trying to be a bigger person than you really were. But then I realized that you weren't trying to be anything. You are a force to be reckoned with Sane... You just need someone to help you along."

"And you want to be that person?"

"I might not serve the Exalt, but I could be a Knight in shining armour just for you."

"I like your Myrmidon garb better."

Lon'qu chuckled.

"Alright then. I'll be your Myrmidon then."

D'awwww! Feely feels followed by cliched gooey crap. Sorry about that. But yeah... Emotion and crap. And a short chapter, sorry. but you should just love that I've updated so quickly.
