Day Twenty-Two: gazing into each other's eyes.
Timeline: dating
Years of interrogating suspects had endowed her with a magnificent talent in uninterrupted staring, but thirty seconds in she started to get way - she'd though Gibbs would be an easy takedown, but apparently Marines were excellent at not blinking, as well.
"Starin' down that sniper rifle," he drawled, eyes on hers. "Got a lot of practice."
"That's violent of you to comment on," she said cooly. "I hope you're not fantasizing about shooting me."
"Not with a bullet."
"What the fuck, Jethro."
He smirked, and laughed, and she clenched her fist - how the hell did someone LAUGH without blinking?
"Um - did one of you just say the F word in front of my kid?" Kelly asked loudly, turning around from the couch.
Jenny winced.
"You blinked," Levi called, blowing a little whistle.
He shoved Jenny's hands way from the table and climbed into her lap, leaning on the table to glare at his grandfather.
"I play winner!" he reminded him.
Jenny held Levi securely, and glared over his head at Gibbs, giving him a defeated, but proud, glare.
"Well," she drawled primly. "I'll just have to tell myself you've gotten practice from staring moony-eyed at me while I sleep. Like a creep."
