These last few chapters are really short since I never added much to them and I don't want to do so now since I've not watched the show in forever. Sorry, but at least I'm posting them now.

Chapter 8

"That was way too close!" Kagome sighed after they'd finally bid Eri, Ayumi, Yuka, and Hojo goodbye. The group was slowly making their way slowly towards to park's exit.

"It's good it all worked out," Miroku smiled.

"It doesn't even look like anyone remembers the demon attack!" Shippo commented while looking around.

"It probably has something to do with the properties of that powder that was released," Sango shook her head looking thoughtful.

"Lucky for us," Kagome smiled. 'And especially for me!'

"This is no time to be congratulating one another!" Myoga jumped onto Inuyasha's face.

"What's up Myoga? And where have you been...?" Kagome glared at the cowardly demon.

"Never mind that! The sun's about to set!"

"Wow," Kagome said as she looked. "You're right, but why's that such a reason to freak out?"

"Have you forgotten!?" Myoga cried. "The well only glows from sunrise to sunset! If we aren't back on the other side by the time the last rays of sun fade we'll be trapped here!"

"What!?"

"Myoga! Tell us these things sooner!" Inuyasha said as he squished the flee.

"Oh no...we'll never make it! It's rush hour now!" Kagome cried as she looked at her watch.

"Calm down!" Inuyasha told her. "As if something like that'll beat us! Let get moving! Kirara!"

Nodding, the cat demon transformed into its larger form, the others quickly got on and the demon flew off as fast as it could, but its speed alone wouldn't be enough.

"This way!" Inuyasha cried as he jumped onto the train station's roof. "We'll hitch a ride on one of these things!" Inuyasha said as a train stopped. "Nobody ever said we had to ride inside right?"

And so the group quickly made their way back towards the Higurashi shrine. They ran up the stairs just as they last rim of the sun began to sink beneath the horizon.

"Hurry!" Kagome cried as Inuyasha dashed ahead and opened the door.

"What about you guys!?" Shippo froze as he looked back at them as Sango, Miroku, and Kirara all disappeared into the well.

"What are you talking about?!" Inuyasha snarled as the sun sank out of sight. "We can cross anytime, you idiot! Go!" He grabbed Shippo roughly just as the well's light began to fade and threw the demon into the depths of the well.

The young kitsune crossed the well's threshold just as the opened gateway faded into darkness.

"Little...idiot...!" Inuyasha gasped still standing poised at the edge of the well.

"That...was a little too close..." Kagome groaned as she sank to the floor.

"Sis...? What are you doing in there?" Sota asked as he walked by, a soccer ball in his hands.

"Oh my, did something happen?" Mrs. Higurashi looked in on them, her hands full of groceries.

"A lot of stuff happened, Mom," Kagome smiled. "But you know? It was still fun."
