I don't own any characters from Twilight or Harry Potter.

It was silent in the Cullen manor. No one could bring themselves to speak. Everyone was aimlessly walking around the house or sitting quietly, waiting for something to happen. Various people would periodically come to check up on Hermione. It had been hours since Draco left them and still no sign that anything had happened. Alice and Hermione were alone in the livingroom cuddled on the couch.

"So the snake?" Alice said trying to ease Hermione's worries. Hermione chuckled a little at her attempt.

"That's just Draco's way of being a cunt. He could have put anything there, but he chose a snake. He knows how much I hate Slytherin." Hermione said.

"And you picked the lion for the same reason?" Alice asked.

"Yep." Hermione told her earning a small smile from the vampire.

"Well, it comes off right?" Alice asked, she didn't like the idea of someone else's name permanently tattooed on her.

"Yeah Alice, it comes off. I just have to have Draco release his half of the bind, then it will go away." Hermione said snuggling a little closer to Alice.

The room fells into silence again. Hours past one after another. Still nothing happens. Everyone was still waiting silently for some type of sign.

Nothing happened. More time passed, still nothing. It was well after the midnight and nothing happened.

Another hour. Nothing. Another one. Nothing. The silence was beginning to drive them all insane.

"Hermione, I don't think they're going to attack today." Ron said walking into the room exhausted from no sleep.

"Maybe you're right Ron. Kingsley probably has a plan of atta-" Hermione suddenly stopped talking. Her eyes went wide and sweat began to fell from her forehead. She began to gasp for air.

"Hermione!" Ron yelled causing everyone to run into the living room. She said nothing, Ron ran up to her and began shaking her. He called her name again, still no response. Again he called her name. Still nothing. He began to shake her more forcefully. Still all she did was look absentmindedly at nothing, wide eyed and gasping. Ron started to slap Hermione. Everyone looked on shocked. He continued to slap her until Hermione's eyes rolled into the back of her head. Ron looked on in pure disbelief.

"Hermione." Ron said barely above a whisper, taking his hands off of her.

Hermione was completely still. The she let out a blood boiling scream and begin to thrash around on the floor. Her whole body was jerking making her head hit the floor repeatedly. Just as quickly as it began, it was over. Hermione laid on the ground eyes open breathing heavy.

Carlisle and Alice were the first ones by her side. Carlisle was there checking her vitals.

"Harry...Draco…. Cruciatus Curse… Need help." Hermione barely managed to get the words out her mouth. She stood up, swaying heavily while doing so. She was beginning to lose her sight.

"Hermione you shouldn't move, your body is going into shock. You have to re-" Carlisle tried to tell Hermione but she vanished before he could finish. As soon as she was gone the house erupted into chaos. Everyone was scrambling, trying to figure out how they were going to help her. The wizards were about to blindly apparate to a random location in Italy, when Edward screamed for everyone to be quite. He ran to the nearest window.

"What the fuck, Edward! We need to figure a way to help!" Emmett said he couldn't believe that Edward was trying to do the same.

"Listen!" Edward hissed at his brother. Everyone stood silent trying to pick up on some sort of sound. The wizards couldn't hear anything but the vampires, thanks to their heightened senses, heard everything. They heard mad laughter and screams. They heard what sounded like explosions. All coming from the direction the town was in.

"There attacking the town." Edward whispered.

Hermione reappeared next to Draco, in what appeared to be a large room of some sort of compound. She was barely able to shield a spell that was about to hit her. she parried it and sent one of her own at her attacker. When it hit him in the arm it, it was torn from his body and sent him flying back. Spells and hex where flying in every direction. She threw herself on the floor to dodge more spells that were coming her way. The room she was in was totally destroyed. Furniture was thrown across the room. There were holes blasted into the walls, letting the cold night air into the roam. Bodies littered the floor and from what Hermione could make out the bodies weren't all Death Eaters.

There were more explosions and screaming coming from all directions. There seemed to be people fighting on the floor above of her as well.

"What happened!" Hermione screamed in between firing spells at her attackers.

"We Got the jump on them but we were heavily outnumbered. They were able to fight back. Most of them are in the castle but some feld. We're still fighting but they have the advantage now!" Draco screamed over all the noise. "My father put me under the Cruciatus Curse. He had me under for a full minute before I blacked out. Potter must have hit him with something, and he ran. Potter must have ran after him, he was gone when I came to."

"Which direction did he run!" Hermione asked firing more spells at the death eaters. A mangled scream let her know that it found it's mark.

"I don't know." Draco said right as he got hit in his side with some curse that sent him flying backwards. Hermione didn't know what he got hit with but it felt like she was hit by a bus. The curse left her inside burning. She didn't know the full extent of the damage done but she didn't have time to stop and think.

"Take upstairs, I'll take the first floor." Draco told her, as he regained his composure.

Hermione took off up the stairs, still firing back at the death eaters on the lower level. The second floor was a long hallway with doors lining the entirety of the left wall. On the right side stood a wooden railing. The end of the hallway branched off in two directions.

Hermione began running down the long hallway.

She was almost at the end of the hall, when a death eater burst through one of the doors that lined the wall and knocked her into the railing. She was thrown into the railing with so much force that it broke. A piece of the wood impaling her in the ribs. She knew it was bad but she had no time to worry about that, all her attention was on the death eater on top of her. She could only hope that Draco could deal with the pain.

The Death Eater through her back against the other wall, pinning her wand hand against the wall. Hermione held on tight to her wand. He was unarmed but his size alone made it impossible for her to get him off of her. The Death Eater cocked his free arm back and threw it forward hitting hermione square in the nose. It broke with a loud crack. Hermione barely had time to scream, when the death eater cocked his arm once again.

Hermione closed her eyes as he threw it forward.
