Hermione was lying in her bed next to Alice, arms around her shoulders as Alice snuggled up against her. Eyes closed. Hermione knew that vampires didn't sleep yet this wasn't the first time that she had caught Alice "Sleeping." She wondered if it was a habit that she never lost.

"It calms me down." Alice whispered.

"What?" Hermione said confused. "What calms you down?"

"Sleeping, or at least pretending too. It calms me down." Alice took a peek at Hermione. "I got a vision of you asking me that question." Alice then followed up that with no she wasn't going to tell Hermione about the future. Alice had rules with her vision, she never told anyone more that what was necessary. Hermione found it really frustrating knowing that someone who knew what was going to happen next never told anyone. "I love the sound of you heart." Alice whispered. "It calls to me you know?"

"Calls to you?" Hermione said intrigued. "How do you mean?"

"Put me in a room with ten thousand people. Ten thousand beating hearts and yours would beat just a little louder than the rest. At least in my ears." She ended by planting a small kiss where her heart would be. Her and Alice had been officially dating for three weeks now. Their relationship was interesting to say the least Hermione thought. They often bickered like it was no one's business so much so that Rosalie referred to them as an "New old" couple. But there was something in the bickering that Hermione noticed. Even though they argued a lot it almost alway took place with a smile on their faces.

"Phone." Alice said, heading her cell phone to Hermione. Hermione raised a eyebrow at her. "Its for you." Alice said before the phone began to ring.

"Hello?" Hermione asked.

"Hermione I need you to listen to me" Emmett said "Rosalie wants to go out for dinner tonight and I don't want to go and I know for a fact you won't either." He was right. " I need you to convince Alice to not go. Can you do that?"

Hermione's eyes slowly wandered down to the vampire on her chest. Alice already looking back at her, slowly shaking her head no.

"Sorry Emmett, my hands are tied?"

"Are they now?" Hermione blushed red.

Alice took the phone back. "Em, what did I tell you about making my girlfriend blush? That's my job. Now yes we are going to dinner tonight. And you are to wear something nice too." She was taking on the phone but Hermione felt she wasn't just talking to Emmett. "Yeah yeah, i'll be there soon." She said before hanging up.

"Leaving?" Hermione tried to sit up abit and winced in pain. Alice gave her a angry look but Hermione gave her a pleading one of her own, silently asking her to drop it.

"Yeah, Rosalie wants me to do her hair." Alice said getting up from the bed, looking for her bra. Hermione watched her, no shame whatsoever. She found her clothes and put them on quickly. After kissing her goodbye she was out the door.

She had to walk slowly as she made her way downstairs.

"That was one mad looking vampire who just stomped through here. Care to share?" Ron asked.

"She wanted Carlisle to look at me a while back but I told her I was fine. Then she just caught me hurting."

"Glad to see we aren't the only ones you've been lying to."

Hermione was caught off guard, she quickly tried the find an excuse.

"Looking for more lies?" Ron pressed further. "How bad Hermione?"

"Bad." She said truthfully, slowly lowering herself in the empty seat next to George. He helped her sit but made no other indication he was even listening to them.

"You already know what I'm going to say." Ron replied.

"Yes and I agree with you, I'll need to pay Mungo's a visits." Hermione said. "But not today. Tomorrow."

"Why?"

"Tonight I have a dinner date with Rosalie and Emmett." Hermione didn't sound too excited "And you guys are going to help me pick out a dress."

That's when the protest begun. They could protest all they want to.

It won't matter in the end.
