Church stared up at Felix. His eyes narrowed even though he couldn't clearly see Felix; his message was still as clear as crystal; he wanted Felix dead. He was positive Felix wanted the same thing.

Felix laughed. "And judging by your reaction, you are in fact the AI known as Church. I wasn't completely positive to be honest with you. Thanks for making me one hundred percent sure." Church could only inwardly sigh at his own stupidity. He should have seen that coming. "Don't beat yourself up about it, the tattoos were also a dead give away."

Church touched his thigh, where his leggings had been ripped during the crash. The hole proudly showed the tattoo of the guys names to the world. Church gritted his teeth, trying to think clearly through the ringing in his ears. "What do you want, Felix?" Church's words were near incoherent, but Felix clearly understood them.

"Normally I would say I want you dead—and believe me I do—but I want off this shitty planet. And, well, you're the best bet I have."

Church scoffed. "You want us to work together, so we can build a portal to our world, just so you can stab me in the back?"

Felix nodded. "Yes, but without the backstab part."

"Go fuck yourself."

Felix sighed, shaking his head. "I was really hoping you would help me willingly but if you're not then I guess I have no choice." Felix stood from his spot, moving closer to Church.

Church felt for his weapons but they weren't on his back or near him on the ground. Church focused his vision on a blur on the ground only a couple feet from the Bullhead; he couldn't tell exactly what it was, but it was definitely too big to be his weapons.

"Looking for these?" Felix held up the reincarnated AI's weapons. "They look like they could be used against me, so I think I'll keep them."

Church pushed off the ground with his hands. He stumbled for a second, his balance absolutely shit. Church sprung for the Bullhead; he wasn't about to let Ash and Agni die. Church crashed into the side of a tree. His perception was off; he wasn't sure exactly where everything was.

Felix laughed, walking to catch up with Church. 'Come on vision, clear up!' Church turned to the blurry Felix. Even his bad eyes spotted his weapons hanging from Felix's fingers; both weapons sat in his left hand. Church couldn't use his daggers to get his weapons; he didn't want to reveal them just yet. Church eyed his weapons and a plan was formed.

He launched himself at Felix, tackling him. Felix easily shoved Church off him, but he had gotten what he wanted. He stood with his weapons in hand. It had admittedly been a crude plan, but it had gotten the job done.

Felix chuckled. "Nice move, but can you even see me?"

Church scoffed, but did not reply. Instead, he fired Tucker's Vengeance blindly at Felix; the explosive rounds did their job. Felix, too preoccupied with dodging the explosions, to notice Church had backed up to the Bullhead.

Church chucked a grenade at Felix, before he reached out to Ash. Or, at least he thought it was Ash; it could have been Agni. He threw the person over his shoulder, ignoring the burning pain. He tossed another grenade as he looked for Agni. He was positive the person on his shoulder was Ash. The lithe frame couldn't have been Agni, who was shorter and stockier.

Locating Agni was harder, but Church did find him. Tossing him over his other shoulder, which was harder than he had thought it would be. Agni weighed a considerable amount more than he looked.

Church heard Felix looking for him, but he moved swiftly through the wreckage, then through the trees. Sure, he tripped every now and then, but that was from how dark the forest was. His vision was still blurry, but it was clearing up fast. His ears were still ringing loudly, but he could handle that.

Church ran fast, but the extra weight of Ash and Agni severely slowed him down. He had to dump them somewhere. The trouble was; he had no idea where he could put them without Felix finding them and without them getting trapped.

Church felt his leg muscles being drawn to their max, his achilles tendon felt like it would snap at any moment, his shoulders hurt from supporting Agni's and Ash's weight. He couldn't keep it up for much longer.

Just as Church was sure he would have to make a stand against Felix for Agni and Ash, he spotted a little nook underneath a tree caused by the roots. Church glanced at it, but shrugged. 'It's better than leaving them out in the open.' He quickly put Agni and Ash in the nook then took off, leaving a clear trail where he went, ensuring Felix wouldn't find them.

He looked at his achilles, gauging just how far he could push it. 'Without the added weight of Agni and Ash I should be fine.'

Church honestly had no idea how he was going to get out of this situation. Felix crashed the Bullhead, he was sure of it. Which meant, he probably had this spot rigged to kingdom come. Church could easily walk into a trap and that would be it, Felix would have him. Not having aura was affecting Church immensely. Without it he couldn't use his semblance, or fight normally as the chance of dying was rather high. Suffice to say he was a sitting duck.

On the brightside, his ears had stopped ringing and his vision was clear as anything. On the downside his muscles were tired, his achilles was ready to tear, his head was pounding from being thrown against a rock twice, and his back hurt like hell, again from being thrown against a rock twice.

His hands curled around his weapons tightly as he thought hard about his options. Running was not one of them; his luck would run out on that end very quickly. Fighting wasn't really an option either. Yes, he had his weapons and yes he had ammo, but he didn't have enough to feel comfortable. Felix had taken the ammo he had found in Tucker's Vengeance, which was about half of the ammo he had with him. Huntresses-in-training were only permitted to carry a certain amount of ammo.

'I'm fucked.' Church glared at Tucker's Vengeance, hoping that if he glared hard enough bullets would magically appear. As he was glaring at the rifle his eyes caught sight of Caboose's Retribution. 'Maybe not.'

Church turned Caboose's Retribution over in his hand; his plan would have to be impeccable, something he wasn't really known for. He glanced at the sky, still not a single bit of light peeking over the horizon. 'Good, that means I have the advantage.'

Church hummed, listening for the sounds of Felix. He heard them, but they were pretty far away. He glanced around, looking for the sniper's perch that would make his plans come to fruition.

Church laughed as he spotted the best place for his perch. 'If this won't do, no other place will.'

He gauged how far Felix was away from him. He estimated he probably had less than a minute before Felix caught up to him; plenty of time.

Church hauled himself onto his perch, or at least tried to: His feet slipped out from under him, leading him to fall on his ass. 'Shit. Shit. Shit.'

He scrambled to his feet, before carefully climbing to his sniper's nest. He crouched down, getting as low to the ground as he could. Tucker's Vengeance trained on the hill that Felix would surely crest anytime now.

He heard Felix's footfalls slowly walking the path Church had made. Church grinned, but kept his calm; he couldn't go and give away his location.

Church shot at Felix, the explosive rounds doing their job in distracting him. Church flipped over to a branch, swinging Caboose's Retribution at Felix. It wrapped around his neck before Church jumped down, whipping Felix into the air. A satisfying crunch was heard as Felix's neck broke, leading to the death of the mercenary. Or, at least that's what Church's plan was. In reality, instead of the chain wrapping around his neck, it merely only grazed the side, before Felix ducked low and grabbed the chain. It bit harshly into his aura, but the mercenary brushed it off, as he yanked Church down from his perch.

Felix laughed as Church struggled to his feet. "That was a good plan; executed poorly, but a good plan nonetheless." Felix walked over to Church, kicking his feet out from under him, before he pressed him into the ground. "See, this is why I want us to team up. I can execute a plan perfectly. The only thing is I'm not that creative. All I need is your creative brain, nothing else. If you help me willingly I won't kill you or your friends. Isn't that a fair trade?"

Church growled as he struggled to get to his feet, but Felix's foot kept him pinned to the ground. Church closed his eyes and sighed. "Strangely, it does. Fuck! Fine, I'll help you." Felix smirked and lifted his leg from Church's back, allowing the AI to get to his feet. "I feel like I'm making a deal with the fucking devil, but I'm a man of my word."

Felix held back a laugh. "Don't you mean a woman of your word?"

Church slowly turned his head to Felix, his eyes dark. "Do you want to die, fucker?"

Felix chuckled, shaking his head. "No, not yet. I have a few things I need to check off on my bucket list."

Church felt his eye twitch. "Then keep your fucking trap shut!"

"Not gonna happen Sweet Cheeks. I like to hear myself talk."

Church scoffed. "Stole the words out of my mouth."

The mercenary hummed. "Perhaps we aren't so different. We each love talking, we both died on Chorus, we both want to get off this shitty planet, and we both have an end goal in life. Although mine is truly simple, all I want is wealth. While I'm sure you want some shit like universal peace or something. Am I right?"

Church laughed, shaking his head. "You nailed everything, except that end goal. I want money. Preferably enough where I never have to work again, but can still spend like crazy. But, you know, I'll settle for just living in the lap of luxury with slight work. Like maybe three days of it per week, something within reason."

Felix gaped. "God damn it, why didn't I team up with you from the start? You're like a female version of myself."

Church crossed his arms over his chest. "Not fucking female. As for your question, you were too busy being pals with Locus and trying to kill me and the guys to notice."

Felix closed his eyes. "Gee, you really know how to hit a guy in his sore spot."

"...Yes."

The mercenary raised an eyebrow, but otherwise ignored it. He turned around, his back facing Church. "Well, we'd better get going, the storm's gonna hit this place hard."

The AI felt a pang of worry for Ash and Agni, but brushed it off; they would fare better with the storm then with Felix. The only reason Church wasn't dead was because Felix needed him; he didn't need either of the pilots.

He sheathed his weapons, before following Felix. He intently stared at the ground far ahead of them, his enhanced vision looking for any signs of the pilots. Luck, however, favored them as Church didn't see anything that pointed to them.

Church trailed behind Felix as they walked. Church desperately wanted to stab Felix for all the pain he put Carolina through, but he had more pressing matters than revenge. 'I have to get back to you C, I will put up with anything to do that.'

Felix led them to a Manta. Church just looked at it. "You stole this didn't you?"

Felix quirked his lips. "I prefer to call it borrowed. Why?"

"I just like to know, in case the owners come after us, I want to be ready."

Felix nodded. "Fair point. You don't have to worry about this ship's owners though, they're long dead."

Church grunted. "You killed them, yes?"

Felix smirked, giving a slight nod. "Oui, mademoiselle."

"You know, you just fucking admitted to murdering someone, right? That's not something people generally boast about, unless their some sick fuck."

Felix just slyly looked at him, having no good response. But the silence seemed to answer Church's question.

'Yeah, this guy's a sick fuck. Shit, I'm about to be stuck in a Manta with him.' Church sighed, dipping his head. 'This day definitely could have gone better.'

"You're not having second thoughts, are you?"

Church shook his head. Time must have slipped past him. The AI ignored Felix and walked into the Manta. The mercenary quirked an eyebrow, but otherwise let the odd behavior pass.

Church bit at his lip. This whole trip had been to check on Ruka, but Felix's interruption had made that impossible for now. Church took a breath. 'He's been the same for five weeks. Why would he suddenly change now?'

Dragging himself to the copilot seat, Church sat down. The pilot seats were the only seats with a window. He would need one so he could know where Felix was taking him.

"Uh, no. Sweet Cheeks, you're sitting back there."

Church followed Felix's extended arm to the back of the cabin. Church huffed, ignoring Felix. He wasn't about to let himself get stranded somewhere.

Felix laughed. "That's not an option." With that, Felix grabbed Church and dragged him into the back, cuffing his wrist to the seat handle. "There you go. Now be a good girl and wait here."

Church growled. "Fuck you. You fucking prick."

Felix just smirked. Church sighed, before resigning himself to his fait. He sat back, closing his eyes. The Manta soon took off, curving left. It would be harder, but Church would just have to feel where the Manta went. That way he could draw a mental map.

Church listened to the hum of the ship as it drifted through the wind currents, easily making its own. Church personally had never been on a Manta before, just Bullheads. It was quite the change; Mantas glided through the air with elegance, while Bullheads seemed to act like a bull in a China shop.

'No bumps? …Nope! Haha, living in luxury here. Well, I am handcuffed to a chair, so it could be better. I'm also being taken by my enemy to his hideout. Okay, now that I sum it up, my life fucking sucks.'

Church marked another shift in the ship. It was a very slight tilt, probably just course correction, but nonetheless Church noted it.

'I wonder how CCAT is adjusting? Nila still holds a grudge that I forged their signatures, but at least she's smart enough to not fucking tattle on me, unlike Kakar. But Ward, I'm not sure about him. He might tell Sapphire about me. Assistant or not, she'll either kick me to the curb —which she's been wanting to do for months— or make my life hell. Neither of which are preferable.' Church scoffed, before snickering. 'Actually, scratch that. He's too whipped by Nila to disobey her orders. That being said, I should really take care of him once I'm back.'

That thought settled Church's mind. Yes, he hoped to get away from Felix in a timely manner, but it was Felix he was talking about. Getting away in less than a month seemed plausible.

Church felt the ship rise up, before tilting right, then dropping low again. The Manta was going extremely fast, so the shifts were harder to detect. 'The air's getting colder. Judging by what I've mapped, we're heading for Solitas. I would have guessed his hideout would be in Anima. Away from General Calcerr and Ozpin. Maybe, since Solitas is just a fucking iced over tundra with two cities on it, it allows a hideout to easily stay hidden.'

Church laid his head back, sighing. The interior of the ship was bland, plain, but more well kept than the Bullhead Agni piloted. Well, that was if you ignored the blood staining the right half of the floor. Something Church wasn't so keen on ignoring, but he would push it to the back of his mind, for now.
