Sorry I haven't updated for so long. I had stopped writing for this fandom and almost forgot about this fic until someone asked me to return to the fandom in a guest review for a non-Titanic fic. Anyway, here's chapter 2. Enjoy!

"And that's how I met Fabrizio," said Jack.

"Wow," said Rose. "What kind of name is 'Huaryu'?"

"Jack, why did you quote everything my mom and I said in English? We spoke in Italian, remember?" said Fabrizio.

"Well, how is Rose supposed to understand what's going on if I quoted you in Italian?" said Jack.

"So how is she supposed to know whether my mom and I were keeping our ability to speak English a secret from Americans, like the Russians in The Hunt for Red October, or if you're translating for the listeners, like in The 13th Warrior?"

"Well, you spoke English in front of me in the story, so obviously you weren't hiding your ability to speak English from Americans," said Jack.

"So what happened next?" asked Rose.

"America," said Fabrizio's mother in astonishment. "I've always wanted to go to America."

"And he will take us there one day!" said Fabrizio hopefully. He turned to face Jack. "Won't you, Huaryu?"

"STOP CALLING ME HUARYU!" yelled Jack.

"'I can't wait to go there and become a millionaire!" said Fabrizio. "And you, with your good looks, you could go to Hollywood and become a movie star!"

"Hollywood?" said Jack blushing. "Me?"

"Wait, I thought you didn't understand Italian yet," interrupted Rose.

"There is no Italian word for Hollywood, ok?" said Jack.

"Oh. But how did you know Fabrizio was talking about you?"

"Do you want to hear this or not, Miss DeWitt Bukater?" said Jack impatiently.

"Sorry. Go on," said Rose sheepishly.

"I'm terrible at acting," said Jack.

Fabrizio nodded in agreement, although he had no idea what Jack said.

"Hey! You haven't even seen me act!" said Jack forgetting that Fabrizio couldn't understand him. "Do you think I've been acting this whole time? Do you think I've just been pretending to be a homeless to make you give a shit about me?"

Fabrizio nodded again.

"That's it, I'm leaving!" said Jack angrily.

Jack stormed out of the house. Fabrizio ran after him.

"Wait! Please don't go! I didn't mean to offend you!" said Fabrizio. "I don't have any friends! I don't even have a father anymore! All I have is my mother! And I love her, but it would be nice to have some company aside from her!"

Fabrizio started sobbing.

Jack stopped and turned around. The look on Fabrizio's face said it all.

"You didn't really mean to offend me, did you?" said Jack. "It was all just a misunderstanding, wasn't it? You really had no clue what I was saying."

A tear rolled down Fabrizio's cheek.

"Ok. Here's the deal. You learn English, and I'll learn Italian. That way, we'll understand each other," said Jack walking back to Fabrizio and putting his arm around him.

Fabrizio smiled and wiped his tears.
