Chapter 4: Another Chance To Do Things RIGHT!
Lelouch just died, again, and this time it was because of Shirley. Well, it was Mao's fault in the first place. Or maybe Lelouch was the only responsible for his four deaths in a row. No, it was God's fault, Lelouch thought, during his precious second of 'eternal rest' he gained after his death, only to be resuscitated suddenly. It was the twenty-first time -also his twenty-first century-, and Lelouch just wanted to be done with it. Except that he couldn't. He was trapped in this time loop and was accustomed to it, so he decided long ago to take profit of this to its fullest. With this power, Lelouch had been able to discover some new experiences, like ruling the World for real, ruling a crime syndicate, leading the Britannian Revolution of the Proletariat…
"Do you fantasize about running a major corporation?"
Lelouch blinked, and realized that he was on a side-car.
Rivalz's side-car.
They were probably out to play their clandestine chess games. Lelouch remembered vaguely that, in his first life, he was playing chess against nobles because he was bored.
Two thousand years later, he was doing exactly the same thing on a bigger scale, and kept the same philosophy.
He wasn't sure why, but Lelouch guessed it had something to do about him lacking power.
Now, it was only because he lacked purpose.
*HONK HONK*
"Rivalz. Truck." Lelouch said boringly, referring to the vehicle that didn't appreciate Rivalz's allure on the road.
And the Truck went out of the road, to a building in construction.
Rivalz's motorcycle didn't have power left.
This scene was awfully familiar to Lelouch, but he didn't seem to remember why.
"Was that our fault?" Rivalz asked.
Lelouch got out of the said-car.
"It depends on the driver's relations." He said, preoccupied about something.
He looked at the truck, then at all those people taking photos with their phone.
And, at that precise moment, Lelouch finally remembered.
"I finally found you!" Said a too familiar feminine voice coming from the truck.
"Yeah." Lelouch said slowly, observing the truck. "I remember perfectly."
'It was at that precise moment when my life changed completely.' He thought angrily. 'I couldn't stand seeing the Britannian sheep doing nothing but acting like sub-humans. I was an altruist and I wanted to help those people. It was my altruism that led me to obtaining my Geass. If I had played my role on that day, nothing of this would've happened. I might have changed the World for the better; someone keeps on erasing my deeds and sends me back in time. If that's the answer you give to me, fate, then here's my answer to you!'
Lelouch made the finger to the truck.
"You know what?!" He shouted. "Screw you, fate! Screw You, Screw you, Screw you! I'm going home."
Then he went to see his blue-haired driver, who was looking at Lelouch with a puzzled face.
"What's wrong with you?" He asked.
Lelouch said nothing for a moment. Once he approached the motorbike, he said finally, with a huge grin on his face. "Everything is fine. How about I help you restarting your motorbike?"
And then Lelouch went to class, and with the mechanical skills Lelouch gained thanks to 2015 years of existence the two comrades arrived at the Academy in time for the next course.
And Lelouch would go to this precise Math course for the very first time of his twenty-two lives.
For the first time of his life, Lelouch would be nothing but an ordinary student, with no Geass and no will to do something in order to change the World for the better.
Lelouch had never been that happy about resolving second order differential equations.
He was sitting on the table, doing his math problems and surrounded by boys and girls his physical age with no more problems than their studies and teenager stuffs.
Why should he be different than them?
Lelouch whistled playfully. "Oh, it is wonderful. Who knew that we could simplify everything and say that the solution is the form of a cosinus?"
The girl next to him seemed to take an interest in what he said.
"You know a lot about math." Random girl number one said with a tone that had nothing to do with math. "Could you give me some, you know, private courses?"
Lelouch shrugged. He wanted to say: 'Sounds cool! I'm going to fuck while the Shinjuku Ghetto is being obliterated.'
Instead he just replied. "Sure. I'll make you exercise for the oral exams."
AN : Aaaaand this is the end of the story!
Just kidding.
But Lelouch will stop dying every chapter.
At least for a while.
