Chapter 9: Homophones.

AN: Hey, sorry for the delay, I was working on finishing God's Reward and now I'm currently working so, yeah, I didn't update since two months.

Here's a new chapter, and the answer to 'what the fuck is going on?' . Enjoy :D

Lelouch was sitting on his desk, trying to figure out what the fuck was going on. His retarded half-brother Clovis, a.k.a the worst choice for a Viceroy of this unstable Area had made a speech about promoting the Eleven civil rights. And the worst of it was that he mentioned Zero. No one knew about Zero, since it hadn't left Lelouch's mind at the point of the timeline.

'Well, he mentioned a masked messiah.' Lelouch thought. 'It has what, 1% chance of being a coincidence. So, someone manipulated Clovis to make me react or something. Someone that knows my past as Zero… Perhaps Clovis had gone back in time or has been sent by god or something like that… no, that's stupid. I know the effects of a Geass when I see one. Perhaps Mao is already in Tokyo and has already read my mind, but if it were the case he would contact me directly, not through my retarded brother. Besides, it's not his style.'

His thoughts were interrupted by the arrival of a certain redhead. Kallen.

And then Lelouch was surprised for the second time of the day.

'She's still alive.' He thought while staring at her absently. 'Even without me leading her to victory, Kallen's still alive. How? Perhaps someone else led her, or perhaps she was the one to go back in time. Then she would have got a Geass from C.C and … at least there is one scenario that makes sense.'

"What's up buddy, see something you like?" Rivalz asked suddenly.

Lelouch shrugged. Kallen had been his waifu a couple of times. She was one of the few people in this World who didn't whine when they had knowledge of Lelouch's Geass.

Instead he stared straight at his blue-haired comrade and said, with a frightening calm tone. "You are not ready for hearing what I like and what I don't like, Rivalz." Lelouch shook his head. "Oh no, you are not ready."

Rivalz gulped. "Okay."

It was already the pause and Kallen was on the park, eating a sandwich. Well, she wouldn't have been able to eat a sandwich if an odd guy saved her a day before, when he led her and her terrorist group to victory at the Shinjuku Ghetto. Well, they would have been dead if Clovis didn't decide to order a ceasefire at the middle of the battle.

"Are you?" Someone asked behind her back.

Kallen stiffened. She didn't hear him coming. The crimson-haired terrorist turned to see her interlocutor.

It was Lelouch, a guy from her class. Kallen's classmates kept cackling about him and it was starting to become annoying.

"Yes?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"What is the first thing that comes to mind when I say 'Guren'?" Lelouch asked casually, being careful not to use a Japanese accent for the word 'Guren'.

Kallen's eye twitched. Guren was the Japanese word for crimson; perhaps he knew that she was half-Japanese.

And if such a thing happened, then Lelouch would inaugurate Kallen's pouch.

"Goo Rain?" Kallen asked with a straight face. "Is that what you meant?"

Lelouch shook his head. "Forget about it."

Then he walked away, leaving Kallen completely puzzled.

Lelouch was sitting on a bench, thinking at the odd speech Clovis gave earlier.

'As expected, Kallen didn't go back in time.' He thought. 'I don't see any logical explanation in this; why would someone manipulate Clovis to send me a message? But maybe it was because of my actions yesterday; after all, I hacked a Britannian research facility and two Chinese military bases so … perhaps V.V of all people is responsible for this…'

In western China, V.V was wandering on a desert, kilometers away from the Geass Order who had been turned to nothing but ashes a day ago. His clothes, too, had turned to ashes.

"You dared." He said weakly.

There could only be one responsible for this. His brother.

Charles knew.

He knew that V.V was the one to kill Marianne and he decided to take his revenge. The little bastard.

Well, V.V was smaller than Charles, and he was also not full of virtuous principles either, so he might enter that category. Hey, after all, V.V had sworn not to lie.

"I may be a little bastard as well, but I'm still your brother." He said to himself.

Then a Chinese peasant with his cart stopped in front of him.

He stared at the apparently-young boy naked, a nasty smile on his face.

Needless to say, it wasn't a bad day for the immortal blonde midget.

In the meantime, Lelouch was still thinking, sitting on the same bench. 'No, that's dumb. But then again, so are the 27 possibilities I'm considering at the same time.'

He noticed Sophie Wood, his classmate Lelouch had seduced because he was bored. Sex was exactly the thing he needed to wipe away his concerns.

One hour later, Lelouch was in Sophie's dormitory, on Sophie's bed with, well, Sophie.

"What do you think of Clovis' behavior?" He asked suddenly while Sophie was lying next to him, completely exhausted. Well, Lelouch was exhausted too but he didn't want to show it. It required a huge mental force but, hey, Lelouch was bored anyway so he needed to do these kinds of challenge.

"I don't care." Sophie replied in a purr.

Sometimes, Lelouch tried to find answers to complex problems like the Clovis affair in ordinary people. And, oddly enough, it worked.

"So do me." Lelouch said. He obviously thought at the double meaning.

He wasn't the only one either.

"Sure, let's do that." Sophie said, grinning seductively.

At this moment, Lelouch thought about something.

'Wait a minute, isn't Sophie the roommate of Shirley?'

And then, someone opened the door.

It was Shirley.

"WHAAAAAAT?!" She exclaimed, falling due to the shock of witnessing this certain scene.

"Shirley, it's not what it looks like!" Lelouch shouted instantly.

To Lelouch's point of view, Shirley had been his wife only one day ago, the Empress Shirley vi Britannia and first lady of the universe. Then Lelouch had decided that it wasn't very entertaining so he had killed himself. But he wasn't staring at his wife, he was staring at the average student council cheerful girl with a crush on the Shonen main protagonist.

"Wait a minute." He said slowly, nodding his head and staring at Shirley with a bored look.

Meanwhile, Sophie was already covering herself with the sheets and was blushing in shame.

"Yeah, it's totally what it looks like."

Two days later, Lelouch was assisting a course as usual. Shirley had lectured him and decided that he was a hopeless case, but she got over it.

Oh yeah, and Britannia declared war on Europe. It was weird because the missiles who destroyed the Geass order were Chinese, so logically Lelouch's father would declare war on the Chinese Federation. It seemed that in this timeline logic had gone away in vacations.

Like with the Clovis thing: Lelouch still hadn't found any logical explanation for it.

'We can assume that the one who manipulates Clovis is a pro-Japanese.' Lelouch thought. 'We can also assume that he, or she, knows me from the future, and it is pretty obvious that our mystery guy isn't really a partisan of a direct conflict against Britannia. It seems like he wants to change the system from within.'

"My name is Suzaku Kururugi, and I will attend class with you from now on."
