Chapter 13: The C Word.
AN: Hey guys! Here's a new chapter of SYFIGH where Charles and V.V are conspiring, Lelouch confides himself, C.C is confused, and where Suzaku is respecting the elders.
'Hey, It's been a while … Cecilia.'
The green-haired immortal was wearing a female Ashford Academy uniform and had tied her long hair up. C.C was heading to see Suzaku, and Marianne's kid, too, yet she expected anything but this.
"You mistook me for someone else." She replied with a dull tone, eyeing the raven-haired Britannian teen suspiciously. 'Is that Marianne's kid?' C.C wondered in her thoughts. 'It's got to be Marianne's kid.'
Suzaku raised an eyebrow. "Cecilia? Is that your name?" He asked. "I know Lelouch knew your real name but he never told me. That's a nice name."
C.C was taken aback by the weirdness of the situation. She knew that her new contractor had been hiding things to her, since he wasn't surprised that C.C took a bullet in the head, didn't die, and gave her a supernatural power. But that this kid knew of her real name? That was unexpected.
"Actually, I…" She began.
Lelouch chuckled, which made her stop talking. 'Damn this chuckle was annoying', C.C thought, 'He's got it from his mother.'
"I was just kidding." Lelouch said. "Cecilia's not your real name."
C.C's eye twitched. "What."
"I know that you don't remember it right now." He continued with a smirk. "Am I right, my dear Cera?"
C.C gave her a cold glare. She didn't like when people messed with her.
"Ah ah." She said dully. "You think it's funny, do you?"
Lelouch shrugged. "No, but I'm bored." Then he smirked musingly. "You know this feeling, right, Cassandra?"
C.C shook her head. "No, that's definitely not my name."
Lelouch laughed. "How should you know since you don't remember it, Caciera?"
"Do parents who give this name to their child even exist?" She asked in annoyance.
"Carolina?"
"Not even close."
Lelouch sighed loudly. "Whatever you say, Chigusa."
C.C snorted. "Do I look Asian?"
Suzaku stared at the scene, highly amused. 'They have been through so much together… Ah, the eternal youth…' Temporarily forgetting that he was young again, too.
She walked in Lelouch's direction, giving the Britannian not-quite-teenager one of the darkest glares in history of glares.
"Oh, come on." Lelouch protested. "There's no need to be in such a fuss, Chewb…"
However he couldn't finish his sentence as C.C grabbed Lelouch's arm and activated her Code. The red tattoo on her forehead glowed and Lelouch lost consciousness for a second, in the real World at least.
Lelouch was thrown off to that weird blue universe where he received on many occasions the power of the Kings N' badass calculating anti-heroes.
"You seek power?" C.C's voice echoed all over the illusionary place. "I can give you …"
However, she didn't finish her sentence.
"Oh, don't sell me your shit!" Lelouch snarled in annoyance while still being in this alternate dimension. "Blablabla, power of the kings, a life of solitude and all, I'm fed up with this!"
C.C deactivated her power.
"What in C's World was this?" She muttered in shock.
"Suzaku, Mao and Marianne aren't enough?" Lelouch asked rhetorically. "Do you want to build your own Geass order or is it because my creepy mother told you that it had to be me and not Suzaku who'd have to make you wanna go to the Sword of Akasha?"
C.C widened her eyes. The surprise on her face was unhidden this time.
"That was a real question." Lelouch added. "I've never seen Spinzaku with a Geass whose donator wasn't I."
Too much information, too much information was passing through C.C's brain.
How? Why? When? Where? Who?
What?
"You're not making any sense, kid." C.C said simply.
Lelouch raised an eyebrow. "Kid? I'm two times older than you, you impertinent little girl."
At this point, nothing this brat could say would surprise her anymore.
"Something has driven you insane for you to spout nonsense like this." C.C stated. "I saw Marianne being pregnant for the first time and wish that you would be a little girl, Lelouch vi Britannia." She stared at Lelouch's silhouette. "I guess her wish was half-granted."
"Che." Lelouch snorted. "I granted your wish seven times already, and what do I get in return? You questioning my undeniable manliness!? You're the one spouting nonsense!"
Suzaku stared at the scene silently. After all, he had always been taught to respect the elders, even when they were arguing.
C.C blinked. This kid knew way too much for a kid.
Lelouch paused. He wondered if there was still a chance to sleep with the C.C of this timeline.
"Well, enough already." The green-haired immortal said. "Explain what's going on."
Meanwhile.
Charles and V.V, the two inseparable brothers, were lazing around on their turf, the Sword of Akasha.
"So C.C has chosen a new contractor." V.V said pensively, with his childish voice. "It is that Eleven soldier who become some sort of hero isn't it?"
Charles nodded. "Yes, that is the most probable of conjectures." He wouldn't tell his brother that this conjecture had been confirmed by Marianne, who had a mental connection with C.C.
It was painful to hide things to his brother, henceforth breaking the promise they've made to each other, but, come on…
V.V had lied first.
How could Britannia be the first World power when its Emperor has such a mentality?
My bet is on Schneizel.
"It is boring." V.V sighed. "I thought she would have chosen your son Lelouch. He would have been an interesting challenge but sadly, it seems he did die in the war. What a tragedy."
Charles hid his annoyance. Seeing his brother hide his true feelings like a low-born hypocrite straightened his resolve to trigger Ragnarok.
"Your whims matters little to Ragnarok, big brother." Charles pointed out.
V.V raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? Do you know who destroyed the Geass Order, by the way?"
The Emperor shook his head. "Apparently it was a missile test from the Chinese Federation, but the location of the impact cannot be a coincidence."He said "The forbidden City may have learned of the Order's existence."
"Then why did you let Schneizel negotiate peace with them?" V.V asked. "It seems you still have much to learn, big brother. What about C.C's new contractor?"
Charles frowned. "I don't think he's the culprit. The incident happened only hours after his acquisition of the Geass. However…"
V.V knew what his brother was going to say. "These two events are linked, aren't they?"
Charles nodded. "Then it seems there is more to Suzaku Kururugi than we first thought."
V.V smirked. "Let me take care of him, Charles. If you send the Rounds in Area 11, he'll just turn against us."
Charles observed his brother with interest. "What do you suggest, then?"
"Just give me some time, a research team, a test-subject, and fifty brainwashed orphans."
The 800 years old green-haired girl and the 2000 years old raven-haired boy were on Lelouch's room. The 80 years-old Japanese guy was away, having military duties and stuff.
"So it's true then." C.C said in disbelief. "You guys are time-travelers."
Lelouch nodded and sat on his bed. "It's Suzaku's first time. Mine is like, the twenty-fifth or something." He explained with a hint of melancholia in his voice. "Every time I die, I wake up at some random moments of my first life."
C.C stared at him with sorrow. "And obviously, you know I don't know anything about that phenomenon."
"Nor is V.V." Lelouch replied in a sigh. "I've checked on the Geass Order's data and found nothing about it, same with the Sword Of Akasha. I've dedicated a century trying to understand my situation but I haven't found anything."
C.C looked down. "It seems we're very much alike. Do you have resentment towards me, for giving you the Geass in the first place?"
They stared at each other in silence for a while.
Lelouch smiled. "Not really. I accepted the contract, I bear the consequences. I just blame my parents for giving me the will to fight in the first place, and God or fate or whatever for playing with me like this, but not you." His voice became softer. "You just wanted to die after centuries of loneliness, it's something I understand perfectly."
C.C smiled. "Thanks for sharing with me the memories of your first and second lives. You seemed to have granted my wish, my true wish I mean."
"The first two were the only one I could call 'lives'." Lelouch admitted. "After that, I slowly began to lose the love and affection I had towards my friends. What's worse is that it doesn't even hurt to see them as strangers."
"I forgot them all." It was what C.C said before hugging him. "It must be less bad than you."
"Yeah." Lelouch passed his hand through her back, and then, his lips approached hers.
'Well, that's makes it 109.' Lelouch mused before entering into a passionate lovemaking session with the woman whose name definitely began by another letter than a 'C'.
