Chapter 15: Recognition.
AN: Hey guys, so this is the latest chapter of SYFIGH. This is the biggest chapter I'll ever write on this story. Enjoi :D
"What do you mean by that?" Schneizel asked to his fellow aide-de-camp, Kanon Madini. "All of our allies' accounts have been emptied?"
Kanon nodded sternly. "Yes, your Highness."
Schneizel tried to maintain his composure the best he could. "We shouldn't let this piece of information to be leaked." He ordered. "At least until our situation stabilizes."
Kanon shook his head and showed him his computer. "I'm afraid it is too late, your Highness…"
Schneizel frowned and stared at the screen. "I've received it this morning…"
He widened his eyes.
It was a compilation of screenshots, screenshots made by someone sending email to hundreds of people. These people were members of high society: shareholders, influent aristocrats, and most of them had connections with some of Schneizel's siblings. It detailed how every supporter of the Second Prince had been emptied, with every proof one would need should one wanted to be sure of it.
'PREPARE YOUR ANUS, SCHNEIZY BOY' was written in the center.
Schneizel paled. This was bad, very bad. Nearly everyone was aware of his sudden weakness, and since he was the best candidate for the throne, it was obvious that he'd be one of the most targeted man on the Empire.
"I… have to think of a plan."
Lelouch got out of Milly's room with a satisfied smile on his face. The gift Milly gave to him was … pleasant.
"Hey Lelouch, did you see Milly and Kallen?" Nina asked as she saw the raven-haired not-so-ordinary student walk on the corridor.
"Yup." Lelouch replied casually. "They're on Milly's room, doing God knows what."
Nina blushed. 'Milly plus Kallen plus Bed equals … !'
She had such a dirty mind for a timid girl.
"Ah, let's not disturb them." She said weakly. Nina noticed that Lelouch was carrying a box. "What is this?"
Lelouch winked. "Chocolate. Milly gave it to me." He opened the box. "Want some?"
Nina approached him and took a chocolate from the box. "Thanks."
"You're welcome." Lelouch replied before eating another praline. 'That was for Milly's gift.' He thought while walking away. 'Now let's find Sayoko.'
Hey, what did you expect?
This?
Well, okay…
Milly lay naked on her bed alongside Kallen, who was naked too. They had a rather raunchy three-way intercourse with Lelouch, a.k.a the playboy of Ashford Academy a.k.a He-who-probably-already-screwed-your-girlfriend a.k.a Suzaku-sama's best-friend. The blonde stared at Kallen's body and licked her lips.
'Daaamn!' She thought in excitement. 'It's not like I'm into girls, but daaaamn!'
Milly put her head between the curvaceous red-hear's boobs and began to finger Kallen's snatch.
Kallen's face became as crimson as her hair. "Yes, Milly-sama, that is good!"
Milly grinned like a Cheshire cat. It's not like having fun with Lulu one hour earlier had put her into a state of exhaustion –even if he was quite experienced Lelouch had still a crappy stamina, to Milly's opinion-, quite the contrary, it had aroused her more than anything.
Milly squeezed Kallen's left boobie and sped up her fingering process.
Then Kallen moaned and let out some words in another language.
Milly raised an eyebrow. 'What?'
She didn't pay much attention. The blonde then started to lick the valley of Kallen's breasts, then moved her tongue slowly and sensually to her neck.
'Damn she's cute.' Milly said before plunging her tongue down Kallen's throat.
It was at this moment Nina entered the bedroom.
"Holy Sh…"
"You're from the mainland?" Suzaku asked, even if he knew the answer. He wandering in the Tokyo Settlement with Euphie, or rather Princess Euphemia incognito, but he wouldn't admit that he knew who she really was from the start.
Euphie nodded. "I just finished my studies."
Not so far away, a mysterious truck was parked and its occupants seemed to spy on the couple.
"My, my." Lloyd said with a smirk. "Our little Suzaku's in good company."
Cecile looked at the pink-haired girl through the window. "Is that Princess Euphemia?"
Lord Aspund nodded. "Yup. Oh, and by the way, I forgot to tell you something important."
Cecile gave her boss an interrogative look. "Go on."
"Schneizel's ruined."
Euphie sat on stairs, next to a well-known stray cat. "Meow! Meow!"
Suzaku smiled. It seemed Arthur went to the party too. His first encounter with Euphemia was one of the happiest moments of his life, if not the happiest. Reliving it was making Suzaku happy.
Then, suddenly, his phone vibrated.
Euphemia raised an eyebrow. "Is that yours?"
Suzaku nodded and took his phone. He stared at the name of the caller. It was Lelouch.
Suzaku sighed and refused the call.
"Who was it?" Euphie asked.
"Nothing important." Suzaku replied. He didn't want Lelouch to ruin this perfect moment, dammit! Lelouch was just a cynical, bitter guy who wished that Suzaku would be in the same state of mind than him because he was just plain evil. Suzaku just lived a life with tons of responsibilities, forced to live with a mask, and now he had a chance to live a normal life and Lelouch knew it well. Could he care about his friend happiness? Noooo! He just kept on telling Suzaku how hellish it would be for him in the future. Will Suzaku be forced to live the same hell as Lelouch? Well, the truth was that Suzaku knew well why Lelouch was stuck into these time loops, and why Suzaku wouldn't.
That was because Lelouch was evil, and Suzaku was not!
Tokyo International Airport
"Will the passengers of flight number AB11359 to Pendragon please go to the loading gate."
It wasn't as if this white-haired boy cared about what the announcer said, but he wished he could hear it properly.
'Damn, I hate crowded places!' Mao thought in extreme frustration. Mao, as most of you knows it, is forced to hear the thoughts of everyone close to him within a certain range, and it was damn annoying, especially when they were thousands.
He just got out of his plane and rushed for the exit.
Mao took his headphones back in order to hear the melodic voice of C.C.
Ah, C.C. … she was the only being whose mind was silent to Mao!
Unlike those pesky little parasites, who couldn't help but thinking out loud.
'Samantha's starting to have suspicions, she might already know that I'm cheating her.'
'Oh, come on! What's with these security measures? Do I look like an Eleven?'
'What!? 5 pounds for a freaking coffee?!'
'My credit card isn't working! And to say I have an appointment with Prince Schneizel tomorrow…'
'…I'm pretty sure the way I'm reviving is all but random. Every time I come back to life, I live again a significant event of my first existence. I have to look into this matter: next time I'll steal either C.C or V.V's code so I can search in my memories freely…'
Mao widened his eyes. "Wait, what?"
The Chinese mind-reader tried to search for this voice, but the airport was crowded and he was surely at another room.
Or rather in a plane flying straight to Pendragon.
C.C entered Milly's place. It was a two-room apartment within the Academy ground. When she searched for a girl named Kallen and asked to a geeky girl named Nina, she babbled the name Milly rather awkwardly. Then, C.C asked someone else where Milly's place was and poof! Here she was.
"They're not in the living room." C.C stated. "Let's check the bedroom."
She opened the electronic door of the second room and…
C.C found Kallen, sleeping naked alongside a busty blonde. Probably Milly.
The immortal sighed. "What's with this school?"
Without caring much about the scene, C.C approached the left side of the bed and grabbed Kallen's cheeks with her right hand.
'I wonder why I'm doing this.' C.C mused while approaching her face to Kallen's. 'But, oh well. He gave me pizza money after all.'
C.C planted a kiss straight in Kallen's lips. It wasn't the only way to remove the effects of one's Geass, but apparently that was what everyone wanted. 'Don't Worry, Lelouch.' She thought with resolve. 'I'll take care of V.V for you, or rather for my dear contractor…s'
"You appear to have a goal that goes beyond your own life. A goal that seems impossible to achieve on your own. If I grant you power, could you achieve it?..."
The following day, Pendragon, 9AM.
Charles zi Britannia was sitting on his throne, staring at the members of the Imperial Court and waiting for the random nobles who had sought audience to come, one by one. It was boring, useless, and time consuming but it was Charles' duty as an Emperor to give audience to his subjects, or rather those with a proper status.
'These useless frivolities will stop once Ragnarok is triggered.' Charles thought with a smirk on his face. These last month's frivolities were … entertaining, at least:
-A hacker had been aiming at Schneizel by erasing sensible datas and ruining most of his allies. That was amusing, to Charles' opinion. 'Serves him right for trying to dethrone me.'
- The Chinese had destroyed his brother's Geass Order. Well, that wasn't cool, but hey, V.V deserved it for 'killing' Marianne. Charles would take his brother's Code in due time.
-Britannia had been at war with both Europe and China. To be honest, yes, wars were wrong. But then again, once Britannia's honor was stained, then it was obligatory to give a lesson to our enemies. However, Charles was disappointed by Cornelia's job. Come on, the Goddess of Victory failing a landing in Korea! It was bad for Britannia's reputation. And no, Charles didn't talk about the country, but about his own family name. He wasn't a fool, if one day the Britannia family is weak enough to be kicked out of the throne (That time will never come!) then the Empire's name will change. Oh, it would be a shame for Charles' ancestors if this glorious Empire would one day be renamed … the John Smith Empire! Or worse, the Kururugi Empire!
-Kururugi. Yes, him. This Jap was C.C's new contractor, and he already controlled the entire Area 11, manipulating Clovis and forcing him to make humiliating –but important for the Elevens' well-being nonetheless- measures. The fate of such proud people wasn't to become another people's endless servants, but to fight its oppressor until oblivion. Struggles and rivalries were the motor of progress, not some useless laws on civil rights!
Just for this, Charles had hoped that It'd be his own son who'd get a Geass from C.C. Getting rid of Suzaku Kururugi's plans and ambitions and lead him to the Twilight Gate would turn out to be nothing but mere formalities.
But then again, it was better this way.
"Announcing, the Duke of Wellington!" The guard shouted. "Sir Julius Kingsley!"
Charles rolled his eyes upon seeing the noble's silhouette. 'It's probably one of Schneizel's pawns that crawled here to complain…
The Emperor widened his eyes in shock. 'NO WAY!'
It had been seven years, and he sure had changed, but Charles was sure of it: The former 11th Prince of Britannia, Lelouch vi Britannia, had returned.
Lelouch was walking on the carpet, a smug expression on his face.
"Is it really Sir Kingsley?" Lelouch could hear one of the useless aristocrats whisper.
"I don't know, but this face seems familiar to me."
"And these purple eyes… They're as purple as his Majesty's."
Lelouch vi Britannia stared at his father while continuing his walk.
"Wassup, Daddio?" He asked nonchalantly. "Did you miss me?"
Charles twitched. "Such impudence. Why don't you present yourself under your real name, Lelouch?"
The whole court was now filled with excited whispers.
Lelouch smirked. His father was ready to use his Geass and he knew it. 'That won't work on me.' He thought. 'But he doesn't know it, he he….'
"I wanted to surprise you." Lelouch admitted, then he turned his sight to the court. "Hello, fellow members of the most civilized court of the World! Watashi-wa Rurushu vui Buritania!" He exclaimed, speaking the last part in Japanese in order to annoy them all.
Sayoko Shinozaki was a maid, but she was also a kunoichi. She was a kunoichi, but more importantly she was a woman of honor, who had a great sense of loyalty to Lelouch and Nunnally.
"Where are we going, Sayoko?" Nunnally asked innocently as they entered the helicopter.
So, when Lelouch gave him the following instructions: take this private jet for Europe and put Nunnally in this high-security mansion in the Balkans he'd just acquired, she didn't let him repeat twice.
"Adriatic Coast." Sayoko replied bluntly.
"And, will Lelouch join us there?" Nunnally asked worryingly.
The helicopter flew off, heading to the private aisle of the airport.
"That depends on him alone."
Lelouch and his father were staring at each other.
"Why did you come back here, my son?" Charles asked.
To his surprise, Lelouch smiled. "I wonder…"
Tokyo, 2AM.
Suzaku Kururugi had just finished his eventful day and entered his apartment in the Tokyo Government Bureau (a gift from brainwashed Clovis). He had been knighted, had spent time with Princess Euphemia, then assisted ceremonies, press conferences, parties in his honor. He was exhausted. Tomorrow there would be another party, but this time it would be at the Academy, with all of his friends.
Mechanichally, he turned the TV on. There was some advertising for a hair clipper.
Suzaku smiled. Milly would probably throw another of her crazy festivals, with the student council as their slaves. Kallen would congratulate him, though he had preferred she'd be happy without being Geassed, but alas, it was a necessity for her life to be saved. Suzaku had feared that she'd have done something stupid while being on her own.
'And since Lelouch doesn't want to be Zero…' Suzaku thought, and then realized something. 'Lelouch!'
Suzaku took out his phone. 'I completely forgot about him.' He thought.
'You have 1 missed call.' It was written on the screen. 'There is one vocal message: do you want to hear it?'
Suzaku pressed 'Yes'. And put the phone next to his ear.
"Ah, Suzaku… Did you really think you could use me that easily?"
On the imperial court, Charles and his son faced each other. The 98th Emperor stared at Lelouch's eyes and found nothing but… nostalgia? He didn't know what was going on. The mighty Charles didn't seem to have the control of the situation.
"I thought I could escape my chaotic life for a while…" Lelouch began. "But it seems peace bores me."
"You may hate me right now, because I told you how harsh reality is. You know what? I don't care."
Lelouch chuckled. "Being an ordinary student definitely not suits me, after all. Perhaps it's in my blood."
"Truth is… I envy you."
"So I came here." Lelouch concluded.
"You know… My second life… my life after the Requiem I mean, was the best I could hope for."
"Are you finally accepting your duties to your family?" Charles mused.
"My kids, my grandkids, my great grand kids, my nephews and nieces… I could recite you their names anytime."
"My family…" Lelouch said nostalgically. "My family is nothing more than a shadow of the past."
"I was happy … Tche, look at me, dwelling on the past like this…"
Charles, in the meantime, was starting to get annoyed. "Are you done spouting your nonsense? I have no times for your child's plays."
"It's not like I want you to be happy or anything!"
Lelouch frowned and showed his father one of his most intimidating of glares.
Charles was taken aback for a moment. 'Damn he's scary!'
"I have one more thing to say." Lelouch said finally.
"It's just that … if back then there was someone who'd keep on telling me that I would live a never-ending hell, I'd have probably killed him on the spot."
Lelouch moved his right arm to the left, which made The Emperor flinch.
"So, as recognition for your patience…"
"I always hated your shitty haircut."
The ad for the hair clipper was cut. "We interrupt our programs for a special flash…"
"…I'll do something you cannot help to achieve."
The Emperor's bodyguard reacted, but it was too late, in one flick of his arm, the ceramic knife Lelouch had been hiding under his sleeve was being thrown in Charles' direction.
Lelouch smirked upon seeing his knife planting himself in the Emperor's forehead. When he saw his father's lifeless gaze, Lelouch knew it was over.
"Sayonara, Suzaku."
When Suzaku saw the stern face of the announcer, he knew what Lelouch had just done.
In the imperial court, the guards approached the murderer, the Regicide, and threatened him with their spikes.
"Surrender, King's Lair!" One of them shouted.
Lelouch raised his hands in the air and, to everyone's surprise, laughed.
"Do you really think I'd wait until my execution?" Lelouch shouted, loud enough so everyone in the room could hear. "I'm not that of a masochist."
Then he bit the cyanide capsule he was keeping behind his molar.
Lelouch vi Britannia died, for the twenty-fifth time.
Suzaku dropped his phone and cried.
"He just HAD to decide that at this exact time!"
Yes, Lelouch died again, Suzaku is a little crybaby and someone is annoyed that Lelouch left, but let's leave this timeline a bit, would you?
How about we go on the original one? The canonverse? Let's get back to the future, 25 years after the Zero Requiem, were the World was suffering one of his worst crises…
December 13th, 2043, Aerial Zone of Mexico City, Autonomous Republic of Mexico, Commonwealth of Britannia.
To say that Kallen Kozuki, General of the Black Knights was furious was an understatement. The sky was filled with explosions, gunshots and combats. It was war.
Twenty 'Maximilian', the standard enemy units, were surrounding her Knightmare Frame.
"Go away!" Kallen shouted. The push of one button was enough to make her enemies vanish, despite them having one of the best armoring in military history.
"I won't let you reach Los Angeles!"
Then, she pushed her own unit, the Guren SEITEN MK-12 Xenoblade, to max speed. She reached the enemy's sky fortress in less than one minute. In the end, it all came to this fortress: in twenty years, an alliance of aristocrats had created in secret a new version of the Damocles, the Neo-Damocles. With an army composed of fanatics and mercenaries (and also wankers who were piloting drones, which was a cushy job), they intended to pressure the Empress into abdication, in order to seize the power for themselves. It was The Demon Emperor all over again.
"I won't let you…" These bastards were about to threaten the ones she loved. Nunnally was there, Kallen's wife was there too… (Yeah, Kallen has a wife… who would have thought?)
Finally, she reached the fortress. Just like the old one, the Neo-Damocles was protected by a gigantic Blaze Luminous shield.
Kallen smirked. Zero was not the best for strategy, but Rakshata was always at the top in her domain.
Kallen checked on her radar the location of the shield's generator.
There was one near her location. Kallen aimed at the generator with her unit's right arm and fired.
The beam went through the greenish shield and hit the generator straight on, making a big hole in the Neo-Damocles' armoring, on top of it.
It created an opening big enough for Kallen to go past the shield.
"Come with me!" She ordered to her allied pilots close enough to her.
Zero's unit, the Nidai Shinkirou, followed her too.
Kallen wondered why Suzaku of all people would use the Shinkiro to fight. After all, he would be of better use in the Lancelot, but Kallen thought that after all these years, he was still scared that they'd find out his real identity.
"Well done, Kallen!" Zero said on the radio. "We have them for sure!"
Kallen let out a sigh of relief. There had been too many deaths, too many sacrifices but in the end the Black Knights would be victorious once again, and peace would be restored.
Kallen made a hole in the sky fortress, looking for the enemy's HQ. Zero along with Kallen's subordinates followed her.
She used her infrared radar to look for life presence.
Then something stuck her.
Kallen had the Shinkiro in sight, it was moving naturally, but there was no trace of human heat signature in the cockpit.
It was a drone; Suzaku had never been in the Shinkiro.
"What is the meaning of this?!" Kallen shouted while communicating with Suzaku, or rather Zero, because he was wearing his costume.
"I'm sorry, Kallen." He said on a surprisingly calm tone. "But this is for the Greater Good."
And then, the FLEIJA warhead that was in the Shinkiro cockpit exploded.
Everything within a range of ten kilometers (Suzaku didn't remove the limiter!) vanished in a hellish purple sphere.
December 13th 2043 was the day of the Rebellion's end, but also the one of Kallen's death.
But, to her point of view, one second after receiving the fatal blow, she didn't seem to be dead.
Kallen opened her eyes. To her infinite surprise, she was being kissed by no other than … C.C.
'What the hell?'
AN: AHAHAH! You didn't expect this, didn't you? This is now the ending of Screw You Fate, I'm Going Home, or rather, the end of the first part. The storyline has been divided in two parts, there is the one with Lelouch respawning again and again, and there's Suzaku & Kallen (Yes, Kallen just gone back in time, in case you haven't guessed it.) The main story is still centred around Lelouch, do not worry! But I'll write a sort of spin-off on the adventures of Kallen and Suzaku too. I don't know how I'll put it, and, well, I'll think about it later anyway.
So, I hope you have enjoyed this first part, this story was a sort of 'recreation' for me so that's why it is poorly written sometimes... I apalogize if it had bothered you. Anyway it had been fun writing this, the sequel is of the same spirit but it'll be something more than Lelouch not-giving-a-shit and doing whatever he wants... well, Lelouch will still be the king of bastards that doesn't give a shit about anything, but at least he won't act as an ordinary student anymore.
In him, there's the 'OFF' mode and there's the 'ON' mode.
THIS, was the 'OFF' mode.
Oh, by the way, this story holds a big secret, but I can't tell you more details since it would be Spoilers. So shhh!
Until next time, take care.
