Chapter 16: Oh, Come on!
AN: Hey guys! It's been a while, wasn't it ? So, this is a good old chapter like the first ones. Anyway, I'm glad you liked the last chapter.
To Worker72: Nop, Lelouch has left this World, sorry about that. In fact he chose to left because he wouldn't have liked seeing Suzaku living an happy life and everything.
By the way, just so it won't be confusing the story with Kallen and Suzaku will be set in another fanfic so I'll tell you when it's done. Right now we'll follow the adventures of Lelouch in the never-ending circle of laifu!
One second ago, Lelouch vi Britannia killed his own father, Emperor Charles, then committed suicide in the middle of the whole Imperial Court.
For the World, it was one of the most shocking events in Britannia's history. For our fellow Lelouch, it was just an ordinary Thursday.
Did I mention that Lelouch vi Britannia couldn't really die? I did. Well, in fact, every time Lelouch died, he was resurrected at one point of his original life. And this time, Lelouch found himself in front of the Twilight Gate.
The Twilight Gate was the access to the Elevator Thought, the Sword of Akasha, and the World of C.
Lelouch blinked, and then observed the gate. 'I'm pretty sure I'm at Kamine Island…' He thought.
Then, suddenly, he heard a gunshot. The bullet landed straight next to Lelouch's masked head. Yeah, Lelouch was impersonating Zero right now. You know, the Black Rebellion, Nunnally's kidnapping and all that…
"Oh, great." Lelouch muttered sarcastically. "You have a great sense of humor, you know. I am literally rolling on the floor laughing. Ah, Ah, Ah."
"Turn and face me, very slowly." Suzaku ordered in a calm, authoritarian, yet extremely annoying tone. Yeah, when Lelouch ordered people around, it is badass, but when Suzaku does it, we just want to slap him in the face.
Lelouch searched for his pistol. 'If I remember correctly, I'm always carrying a gun here.'
Zero turned around, not like he followed Suzaku's injunction but it would be better to face his interlocutor.
Lelouch could finally see Suzaku's face. 'Damn that look on his face is really annoying.' Lelouch thought. 'And my body is so weak right now…'
"Zero." Suzaku said, aiming his pistol at … well … Zero. "Your Geass power is quite convenient isn't it?"
Lelouch raised an eyebrow. 'Was it V.V that told him about Geass? Yeah, it's gotta be V.V.'
"You get to hide in the shadows while…"
Lelouch interrupted Suzaku's monologue. "Is that a blonde midget named V.V who told you this tale?"
Suzaku's eye twitched in anger.
Lelouch could see Kallen lurking in the shadows, observing the scene.
"It is quite convenient, isn't it?" Lelouch continued, repeating Suzaku's words. "Britannia's biggest threat is here, unprotected, within your gun's range."
Suzaku narrowed his eyes. "It doesn't change anything." He retorted.
Zero shrugged. "Probably not."
Then the masked terrorist made a move, and Suzaku made a summation shot. "Don't move an inch!" Suzaku shouted.
Lelouch ignored him. "It is no use to argue with you. Hatred clouds your judgment." Then he put his left hand to his mask. 'But it wouldn't change anything, you're just a screwed up kid anyway.' Lelouch thought internally. Then he removed his mask, to the shock of everyone present.
Lelouch smiled. "Am I right, my old friend?"
Kallen fell on her knees. "No, impossible…" The student she once suspected of being Zero … No, he couldn't be Zero! One day she talked to her boss in the shower and Lelouch was there too, so, no, it was impossible.
Suzaku gulped. He didn't see that coming. Or rather yes, but he didn't want to admit it.
"You were Zero, the entire time…" Suzaku said weakly.
Lelouch threw his mask away. "No. I'm not Zero."
At this moment, Kallen and Suzaku thought the same thing.
'Wait what?'
"I'm relieved." He said finally, to everyone's surprise. "I'm relieved you finally found me."
Suzaku didn't know how to react. Kallen didn't either.
Lelouch looked down. "Zero knows about me." He said with a distress in his voice. "About Nunnally, too."
Suzaku widened his eyes. 'The Black Knights had taken Ashford Academy!' He thought in dread. 'If he knows about Nunnally, then…'
Lelouch nodded. "Yes." He closed his eyes. "Zero has kidnapped Nunnally. He had ordered me to wear this costume and stay here." Then he fell on his knees. "I… couldn't do anything about it."
Suzaku softened a bit. "So, you're just another victim of Zero in the end…"He was relieved, but also worried. 'I'm glad Lelouch isn't Zero, but if Nunnally's been kidnapped, then…'
"I'll save Nunnally." Suzaku swore to his friend. "You can trust me on that, Lelouch."
Then he stared at the red-haired Black Knight. "You see? This is the kind of person Zero is! He's an abject, manipulative bastard who doesn't deserve the right to live."
Before Kallen had the opportunity to retort, Lelouch spoke. "I can't agree more."
There was something strange in his tone, Suzaku thought. It wasn't the voice of someone whose sister was kidnapped, but more some kind of … a jaded man?
Suzaku turned to see Lelouch, and then his blood froze.
Lelouch held a gun and wore a huge grin on his face.
"You're really a hopeless case, you know that?" Lelouch asked mockingly. 'Did I really entrust this guy to be Zero? I guess I was pretty dumb when I was young.'
Suzaku grit his teeth. "You…"
Lelouch laughed. "Yes, me. I'm Zero, lol. I killed Euphie, lol. And I'll avenge her right here right now. Lol."
Then, to everyone's surprise, Lelouch pressed his gun's cannon to his own temple.
"Just kidding." He said with a more serious tone. "I cannot die."
Then he pulled the trigger.
One second later, Lelouch woke up.
The first thing he saw on his 27th life was a familiar black helmet.
Zero's mask.
Lelouch blinked, then looked more attentively.
Zero was standing just in front of him.
And he was holding a sword.
This sword was aimed at Lelouch's chest.
Lelouch respawned during the Zero Requiem.
"Oh, come on!"
AN: LOL
