The air was palpable with tension as Dr. Paylor and Lindow were going over the training session that happened that day. Lindow was pacing, wary over the person Paylor had brought in. Meanwhile, Dr. Paylor was wracked with guilt and worry over both Lindow and Yuri.

Dr. Paylor cleared his throat before speaking. "I understand your concerns. I myself thought that this was a bad idea. Recruiting another person would have proven difficult, but I agree that she has a knack to rush into things."

Lindow sighed. He looked at Dr. Paylor with a pain expression. "That's an understatement. She nearly killed me. I feel bad about hurting her, but those swings were fast enough to match a Dyaus Pita."

Lindow and Dr. Paylor began walking back to Yuri's room as Lindow bridal carried Yuri. They remained tense and kept a constant vigil to ensure nobody happened upon them. Secrecy was important, and having an unconscious person in your arms tended to raise questions. Dr. Paylor on the other hand was struggling to carry Yuri's weapon. It was heavy, and he had to make sure he carried it on the flat side with both arms to prevent self injury.

As they continued forward, sweat flowing down the doctor's face, he could feel the heat from the sword. The weapon felt alive, and he was to hazard a guess, it seemed like the blade itself hungered for blood. It felt like a sword from ancient legends, a weapon wielded by a demon.

With the world as it is now, something like a demon would not be too far fetched. Aragami are a common threat these days, and the God Eaters combat these threats. So Yuri being some kind of ancient demon that awoke in modern times would not be such an impossibility. Knowing the origins of the Aragami made him want to understand Yuri's origin, but he felt it to be a horrible idea. The Aragami came to exist almost as if from humanity's hubris.

Eventually they arrive back at Dr. Paylor's office and Lindow leaves Yuri on her bed. Then he goes back to sit in front of the doctors desk. Dr. Paylor follows suit before placing Yuri's weapon on his desk. They both stare at it with trepidation.

Lindow massages his forehead, the stress of the day washing away as his adrenaline passes. He taps the sword before grabbing it and testing the weight of it. From his experience fighting, the weight of the weapon was clearly meant to deal a lot of concussive damage over time rather than actually be used to slash at enemies. Which surprised him when he tapped the edge of the blade and found his finger bleeding from the contact. Whatever this thing was made from, at least he knew he made the right call.

Strong as he is, this thing would have either hurt a lot more than what the average Aragami could bring, or he would be lying dead on the ground of the training room. Turning towards Dr. Paylor, he saw his inquisitive stare as the man awaiting a breakdown of what he observed about the weapon. They both knew it was dangerous, but only a person used to fighting with one would get how each one might work.

Once Lindow explained just the kind of weapon Yuri welded, Paylor's face paled. The weapon was not discreet like a god eater's weapon, and her headstrong personality would make her unfit to go out on any field missions in the foreseeable future. It would be best to stop her training or have her undergo training as a proper god eater. This would make it more difficult to keep an eye on her, but there seemed to be little choice.

Dr. Paylor took a deep breath before speaking. "Do you think it would be best to have her undergo training as a god eater, or to stop these training sessions altogether? She has managed to improve overtime, but she needs a better guiding hand than I can give her."

Lindow stroked his chin before replying. "You were the one that wanted me to test out her abilities. She's not very skilled, but she is very aggressive. She would work well as a heavy hitter, but do you think she could really work well in teams? Not to mention she mentioned something about seeing me from somewhere. I don't know what that might have been about, and could only really speculate. Right now it's probably better you just keep her on as an assistant and try to see if you can get some kind of basic sword training schedule for her."

Dr. Paylor nodded. This was probably for the best. Yuri's inexperience was detrimental, and having her learn more about the ins and outs of being an assistant would be much better. Not to mention the idea of having her learn to wield a sword more effectively. Perhaps looking into the history archives could help. He had an idea of where to start, and that seemed better than nothing. The only issue would be what to do with Yuri once she began to feel restless again. From what he understood about people's behavior over the years, Yuri had clear signs of someone that used to move around a lot, and whatever came before her current life without memories meant she may have been part of a group of nomads scavenging and surviving in the areas beyond the walls.

Dr. Paylor placed his glasses on the table before wiping his head with his arm. Looking towards Lindow, he smiled reassuringly. "Thank you for your input. I will hopefully have a routine set up for her. Could you tell me more about that new god eater that your sister was having trouble with?"

Lindow chuckled at that, the tension going away slowly as he began to talk about this new person's antics. Strange things are happening these days indeed, as two powerful people have joined Fenrir. Lindow mused to himself that it was a bit like fate. He hoped he could see what the future might entail, as uncertain as it was. The next few months were at least going to be exciting.
