My bad :V

Anyway review corner, we have one review from the last chapter !

From : Allan4242564

Oh cool, another fic that has Lady Nagant as a character. What's funny is that they play oddly similar roles, a babysitter and now a bodyguard to a mother with a child, all because of All for One.

Woohoo a strong willed Inko is so nice to read, especially when it comes to Bakugo.

Aside from the main characters, I'm always curious to see how Kurogiri will grow throughout a story where AFO isn't just some megalomaniac villain who's only character trait is being evil.

Somehow Stain is more popular as fanfiction material than most characters when his psychology literally sums up to "going stab stab stab at anything I do not like because MY LOGIC IS UNDENIABLE". Lady Nagant doesn't impose herself on anyone, she is strong, has a tragic backstory ... and ends up being a side character -_- ... meanwhile Stains is just killing people around and still being relevant ? Whatever.

I'm not the first one to use Inko as a lawyer, but I just can't see her having any other job. And when you think about it, YES her quirk is strong, too strong ... and smart, and badass ... she is just the best mom.

I envision Kurogiri with mostly the same personality as in the anime, with one big difference ... well more like an existential crisis but this will be covered wayyyyyy later.

Oh we are already done ? Well here is chapter 3.

Inko glared at Shigaraki "You are scaring my son." She pointed out. Making the symbol of fear shiver and panic. It wasn't supposed to be akward, he really wanted to be nice ! But indeed the small toddler in front of him didn't look comfortable.

Kurogori shrugged, looking away from the scene, if All for One wanted help he would have to look elsewhere, the mist man wasn not dealing with another child. Meanwhile Lady Nagant wondered if there was indeed something in that drink ... she rolled her eyes, concluding it was always better than being in prison.

"I-Uh ... I'm sorry, you can call me Shigaraki, I'm a friend of your mother." He waved his large right hand at Izuku, the boy had suddenly taken a strange interest into his hand.

"What's your quirk ?" He asked out of nowhere.

Inko scolded him "Izuku ! This is rude, you can't ask people you do not know what their quirk is." Kaina chuckled, All for One was putting himself into some weird situation, she found it even more funny when she noticed the smirk on Tomura's face and Kurogori slowly distancing himself.

"S-sorry." The young boy muttered looking down at the ground.

Shigaraki activated his quirk, his true quirk, showing the red sparkles of All for One dancing around his fingers. "My quirk is kind of unique. Most people have a derivation of a certain type of quirk, breathing fire, creating ice, changing the physical property of their body. My quirk can take other people quirk and give quirk to other people." He explained.

Izuku was beaming, All for One had expected him to be- ... terrified, most people are when they hear about something that can potentially render them quirkless. But this boy didn't mind the beginning of his explanation, he was interested about the end, obviously, he wanted a quirk for himse-

"That's why you have big hands ? You need to touch people to take their quirks ?" He asked.

"W-well ... yes." Shigaraki looked at Inko, she sighed and smiled at him, he had her approval. "Your mother told me you had quite an interest into quirk, I do so myself, would you like to discuss on this topic with me ?" As soon as he asked Izuku's face displayed the widest smile he had ever seen, he was almost crying.

Inko phased for a moment, when she looked at Shigaraki and Izuku standing face to face she couldn't deny that the two shared too many similarities ... well, if you put aside the All for One personality that is. "I should leave now, I assume your legal service is still as messy as it was all these years ago."

The symbol of crime turned around and forced himself to smile, scratching the back of his head and trying to make up an excuse, Inko rolled her eyes and grabbed her coat "Nevermind the details, I will estimate the amount of work myself." Lady Nagant followed Inko closely, she was headed for the door when the mist man stopped them.

"Perhaps you would prefer a shortcut ?" The barman offered as he opened a rift. "I assume you know where to go Miss Midoriya." Inko nodded at the barman while Kaina gestured at Inko that she would be going in first.

She turned back, waving at her son as she stepped into the rift with her bodyguard "Have a nice day Hone-" he voice was muffled by the rift.

On the other side of the portal Inko and Kaina arrived into a back alley, she wondered if Kurogiri had checked the place himself before sending them out, she doubted the barman would take any risk with her life but she could never be sure.

"Perimeter clear ... sorry just a habit." Kaina explained. "Where are we headed ?" Inko pointed at what appeared to be a small rental office building. It wasn't the massive cliche skyscraper she had envisioned when Inko had mentioned that All for One had a "legal service".

"It isn't a cover really, Shigaraki doesn't bother with anything legal unless it means publically crushing and opponent or ruining someone's life in a "legal" way. I assume from his point of you these two reasons aren't that different in the end, but it just as humiliating for our targets." Inko walked toward the building with Kaina following by her side.

"Your smile is off, but I know this kind of expression, you must really like you job." The ex-hero deduced.

Inko chuckled "Close enough, I'm not addicted, unlike Shigaraki, but when I work on a case it aim for perfection. Attacking someone as an attorney is like playing a game of cards with a blind dealer and an ever changing set of rules." Inko opened the door of the building, inviting Kaina to go in first "Last door on the left, the one with the security code."

Inko hadn't been here in years, it was her office, her "real" one, far away from the agitation of her cabinet. Well back then it wasn't like she really worked at her cabinet anymore, Shigaraki had monopolized her time, she could fight corruption day and night and All for One provided unlimited resources. She gestured at Kaina to see what code she was about to enter, just in case her bodyguard had to access this place.

05032140

"A date ?" Kaina asked silently.

"Yes, the day I met him ... he was the one who suggested it. How could I forget it ?" The door opened on a staircase, leading under the building. "And before you ask, yes, this is intended to be a bunker.

Kaina had seen the server room of the hero commission once, this place was pretty much similar, it was only filled with walls of shelf to stock boxes filled with documents, only paper documents. Nothing electronic, at least All for One and Inko were smart enough to not use anything that could be hacked by a quirk. The ex-hero checked her phone as well, no signal, she should have thought so.

It wasn't a big room though barely as large as All for One's bar. "It's not even dusty, five years and it's exactly how it was when I left it." Inko sat at a desk in the back of the room, she stared at it for a few seconds. "Well ... I'm back in the game. Let's start shall we ?"

"How does it work exactly ? I know the law ... or at least what you would call the HPSC's rules, otherwise I guess I watched some series about lawyers and cops doing their jobs but assume it's not as fun and exciting as reality." Lady Nagant grabbed a chair and sat on the other side of the desk, stretching in the process.

"Keep in mind that we work for All for One with his resources. There is nothing that can stop us, the HPSC is the only entity that can stand in our way. Most of the time it's just about exposing a few scandals here and here to act as a distraction, I work on the legal side while Shigaraki does the less legal one." Inko explained as she attempted to restart an old computer. "Goodness, that thing is prehistoric ..."

"Then what is my part ? Surely he didn't hire me because he has a crush on you ?" Kaina partially suppressed the smile on her face when she noticed the slight shiver in Inko's composure.

"I admit that he is- ... very protective with his assets. I used to work against him at some point, you do not have anything to worry about. I said I used legal means, I never said I was bent on following the rules, it's not illegal if there are no witnesses."

"Glad to hear that I'm not on vacation, what do you have in mind ? Miss Midoriya ?" The ex-hero joined Inko's side to look at her screen. "You aren't wasting any time are you ?"

"I'm sending a message, just enough to complete a good warm up."

"I wish I had met you earlier."

"And this is how my quirk works, I must admit I possess so many that I managed to forget how to trigger quite a few." All for One explained as he and Izuku were ... socializing in his personal study. He had given Izuku an empty notebook, he was no expert but obviously this child was smarter than he should be.

He kept asking questions, Izuku was genuinely curious, and not just about quirks. The poor boy could barely handle so many things at the same time. It was a good thing that he gave him a support, in this case the notebook, to keep the young boy partially focused on writing his thoughts somewhere.

"I heard that when people get their quirk it is ina- ... inha- ... in- ..."

"Innate ?" Shigaraki guessed.

Izuku nodded "Y-yes ! They know how to use it when they get it."

"I believe it is quite different depending of the individual, most people do not attempt to explore all the potential of their power. My quirk sounds quite simple, I take, I give ... but what if I-" All for One was about to mention the Nomus but refrained, a toddler shouldn't hear this ... and Inko would murder him.

"It would be dangerous if you gave multiple quirks to someone, what-what if their body gets sick ?" The symbol of evil was quite shocked, a four years old was more responsible than most humans on the planet ? This child was a miracle ...

"Most do, but you do not need the details, you are smart enough to understand that some things are better kept under silence until you are old enough to get your own opinion."

Izuku stopped writing for a moment, tapping his pen on the side of the page while he processed the informations. "Mom said I would get a quirk ... you- ... you will give me one ?"

"Taking quirks are like an obsession to me ... giving one out ? It's harder than you think." Shigaraki attempted to explain, he didn't wish to present himself as a greedy kleptomaniac, which he was but only because of All for One urging him to take a quirk when he found it interesting. "Do you already have an idea of your ideal quirk ?"

The young boy looked distressed, he started mumbling incoherently and none of All for One's quirk seemed able to translate this gibberish.

"I- ... I do not know. It's- ... I always wanted a quirk, I never thought about what I wanted it to be."

"You find yourself in quite a strange position, you have what you want but you cannot figure out if it is what you need. There is quite a difference don't you think ?" Izuku nodded approvingly. "How about we do things a bit differently ?"

All for One stood up and gestured at Izuku's notebook, requesting to have a look at the boy's work. He barely mentioned a few quirks he had acquired recently, about height pages had already been mostly filled up. He prevented himself from commenting and remained on the main subject "Take your time to think, make up your mind carefully, do not rush anything. I will still be here when pick a decision."

Izuku beamed at the idea "I-I will think a lot about my quirk I promise !"

"I like your motivation, this little session was very interesting but for now we should go back and-" All for One didn't pay attention to the actual amount of time they spent together and he noticed they completely skipped lunch time, Inko was going to kill him if she knew he accidentally starved her child. "How about we grab some food on the way ? I know a place where they make the greatest Katsudon in the country."

He offered his hand to the young boy, again he felt this odd feeling of emptiness pulling at him when he touched Izuku's hand. It was nonexistent the first time, the second it was barely a passing shiver, now the third time it was ... akward. "Hold on tight." The duo stepped through a portal and vanished from the study.

"Enji Todoroki, also known as the hero Endeavor, currently rank number two according to the "official" system ... while his results are "great" his efficiency on the terrain equals the amount of damage he leaves in his path." Inko began to explained after spending half an hour with Kaina to setup a proper projection.

Her bodyguard argued it wasn't necessary but Inko replied she had always dreamed of supervising her own team if she had one a few years ago, plus she thought it would he fun if Kaina could get motivated by relieving what she saw in her movies and series.

"I met them once ... brutish, rude, disinterested. Basically not your friendly every day colleagues. But I guess the HPSC likes their dog obedient yet just aggressive enough to carry on any dirty side task." Lady Nagant commented.

This allowed Inko to transition to why they were targeting this hero specifically "His quirk is way more powerful than most regular fire quirk. While he has public routines he is often joining police raids or even sent in the frontlines to "weaken" the opponent. All for One wants him gone ... well, at least "officially", he would absolutely despise getting himself into anything close from a total war, no what we want is to ruin his reputation and tarnish the HPSC's on the way."

Kaina nodded, waiting for the next part of Inko's master plan "Sounds easy enough with all his mess but trust me the HPSC is way too careful about cleaning up behind him, we need something that they haven't gotten themselves involved with yet."

"I'm coming to this point give me a minute, you are spoiling my lines." Inko complained, she waited to the next picture, it was taken from an article showing Endeavor's wedding. "You see anything wrong on this photo ?"

Lady Nagant didn't hesitate before answering, she was a sniper, a single scan and she knew what was wrong "She isn't genuinely smiling is she ? Also where are her parents ? ... quirk marriage." She deduced.

Inko nodded and stopped the projector. "I cannot confirm anything, yet. But if it is indeed true then we have found ourselves a ticking bomb to blow up our target." Inko went back to her desk and switched through the internet on her computer.

Kaina was silent for a moment, she respected Inko's need for concentration but there was one detail that bothered her. "Is she going to help us, or are we going to help her ?"

The lawyer's gaze diverted from her screen for a few seconds. "I am not a hero ... I have killed before, people who probably didn't have a choice or didn't know what they were doing. If i had to choose between one thousand unknown bystanders and one person I can specifically identify ... I would pick them, it doesn't matter how many people you save if they do not feel safe afterwards. I pay attention to details, but Rei Todoroki is not a detail."

"You didn't answer the question."

"My explanation didn't satisfy you ?"

"I will assume we are helping her ... somehow, how do you want to approach the situation ?"

"I will ask Shigaraki to get us invitation to a charity's evening, as much as Endeavor doesn't like these surely he must attend a few official events and bring along his trophy wife with him."

"Don't you think it's going to look suspicious if suddenly an attorney that hasn't practised in the last four or five years show up at this kind of event ? How am I even supposed to protect you ? I may be an underground pro but that doesn't mean-"

"Get disguise, ask Shigaraki for a little help, be creative, I will need your measurements too, we need clothes."

Kaina brought her left hand over her face, she tried to convince herself that it was always better than being sent into some hellish place where the HPSC dumps their broken or non compliant tools. "No dress, jeans, nothing too tight and please absolutely nothing too bright."

"Gotcha, can you go get us some coffee ?"

"Sure madame."

"Please do not turn into Kurogiri."

"You are my new boss, consider this as politeness."

"I am not giving raises."

"I hope not."

Inko was relieved that she managed to get accustomed again to her old job, and having Kaina by her side to keep her "sane" was a big plus. She had been able to focus on something else than her messy "divorce" and she was almost certain she could entrust her son to Shigaraki for a single day.

What could possibly go wrong ? Shigaraki was an adult ... or at least he acted like one, but he had been alive for Gods only know how long, surely he was more mature than most people.

She was getting worried again ...

"Hum ... you haven't forgotten how to open a door right ?" Lady Nagant brought her back to the present, Inko smiled awkwardly and entered inside the bar. She immediately spotted her treasure sitting at the bar with Tomura, the older boy was discussing with Izuku.

By comparison he sounded more sociable than yesterday, they seemed to be talking about Tomura's quirk, with Kurogiri attempting to supervise them. When Izuku noticed his mother was back he immediately hoped down from the stool and rushed to get a hug.

"Hey my baby ! Did you behave ?"

"Yes ! Mister Shigaraki brought us to a restaurant, we had Katsudon."

"Oh this is- ... very nice of him ! I hope you thanked him a lot." Inko genuily thought that All for One didn't appreciate children more than he had to, Izuku was just like him though, a quirk nerd, she didn't mean it in an insulting way of course. "I'm gonna be working a lot for some time so I won't be here a lot, but I'm sure Kurogiri will take good care of you."

This wasn't a question but an order and the bartender knew better than to deny the "request" of his master's guest. Tomura made his way near them and starred at Izuku in Inko's arms. When she looked at him the boy avoided her gaze. "Is something wrong Tomura ?"

The older boy mumbled something.

"Sorry I didn't hear, could you repeat ?"

"Can Izuku and I keep playing together ?" He asked a bit louder this time, Tomura was just a kid after all, and he seemed to appreciate Izuku just as much as Shigaraki.

"Of course you can !" She dropped Izuku to the ground and the boys didn't waste any time going upstairs. "Children ... I just hope they won't do anything dangerous."

"He made me get gloves." Kurogiri told her.

"What ?"

"Gloves for Tomura, it was obvious when he told us, young Tomura just need to wear artist gloves to prevent his quirk from triggering. It's harassing for him, he doesn't like physical contact a lot, but he can tolerate the gloves if it means he doesn't have to pay attention to all his movements."

Now that the barman mentioned it, Tomura had indeed a pair of black gloves covering his hands. "Izuku made the suggestion ?"

"He talks a lot about quirks when he isn't keeping to himself. Would you like something to drink or eat ?" The barman asked as he extended a glass toward Inko.

Kaina sat at the bar and leaned in toward Kurogiri "I would like a cup of tea, any flavour." The barman glared at her "What ? Surely you weren't asking only for Inko, that would be very impol-"

"I will be right back." The mist man interrupted, warping himself away, most likely into the kitchen.

"Just how can you get on his nerves so easily ? Kurogiri could have been a surgeon with his patience and self control."

"Simple, I'm flirting."

"I noticed yes." Inko went next to her bodyguard and waited, Kurogiri arrived a few minutes later with two cups of tea accompanied by a collection of small cakes and other treats.

"I'm impressed Kurogiri, you made these yourself ?" The hero asked as she proceeded to dip a biscuit into her cup of tea.

"I requisitioned them if you need to now miss Nagant, it would have been inappropriate to make miss Midoriya wait." Kurogiri replied, attempting to get back at the bodyguard.

"The biscuit is wonderful." Lady Nagant said as she took a bite "However the tea is a bit dull." She added after taking a sip, making the barman flinch. "Do not worry, I still like it a lot."

"I-... will do better next time." The mist man apologised.

Lady Nagant looked guilty for a second. "I appreciate the flavour though, you have very good tastes."

The lawyer smiled, these two seemed to fit together, as chaotic and full of sarcasm was their relationship. "When will Shi- I mean All for One be available ?"

"I am certain he will free himself in the next minute if you are the one requesting his attention miss Midoriya." The barman informed politely.

"Good, I need to- ... get a full report on his day with Izuku."

"You didn't give him a quirk ?" Inko felt betrayed, it was the only reason she was here, to help her son fulfill his dreams. And now Shigaraki was attempting to justify why he didn't keep his promise.

"Again, it's not something you can rush."

"What if you give him a quirk too late ? What if his body can't handle it ? What if it makes him sick ? It's not like quirks suddenly pop out in existence, Izuku has a medical record you can't just edit-"

All for One tried to calm down Inko, he wished he did not had to raise his voice. "Inko ! Inko ! INKO !" Maybe he was too aggressive and accidentally used an aura quirk on his last call but it worked anyway, it was his turn to talk. "Izuku can be a late boomer it's not uncommon, I already have a contact who can arrange his records without leaving any trace, and finally no, under good supervision a quirk can perfectly adjust to it's new host."

"Then why wait ? ... don't tell me you are being greedy."

"No, no I swear I am not. I wish to give him exactly what he needs, and I would like to emphasize that I'm saying "need" not want." Shigaraki sighed and took a few seconds to fix the mess in his study. "Izuku is not picky, he is smart, he overthink everything ! A bit like I do ... He wants to be a hero and I'm fine with it, I will give him one of my quirks, trust me this is hard and this could come backstabbing me in a few years but I will. It just have to be what he needs ..."

"You have something on your mind."

"Do I ?"

"Seems so ... is it about my request ?"

"No, not at all, I already arranged invitations for you and Nagant. I trust you will make Endevaor's career a living hell right ?"

"I can't promise anything but he won't be able to reach the number two spot ever again, as a result of his downfall in popularity the HPSC might lower their guard and you can deal with him on your side."

All for One nodded he already pictured himself taking away Endevaor's quirk for himself as the brutish hero agonized while rethinking his actions, justice in a twisted way. "This will be enough to make sure the HPSC will not be looking deeper into his "end", just the result of the public's anger."

"As usual, thank you for hiring Kaina, she is very nice."

"I hope so, otherwise I would have called her in my study and subjected her to a new contract that would have been way less enjoyable."

"You should be careful though, she is very ... interested into your butler."

"... Kurogiri ? No chance, trust me, Kurogiri is physically unable to have this kind of feelings, Nagant is aiming for a lost cause.

Inko decided to not mention what she had seen earlier at the bar, perhaps Shigaraki meant he wouldn't allow any personal relationship between them. "If you say so, there are also a few things I wish to discuss with you."

"Hum , about ?"

"Tomura. I want to make sure he is well treated here, and I want to know his background." Shigaraki defied Inko with his glare, except as expected his friend was absolutely unaffected.

"You already have one kid to take care of and Tomura is under my charg-"

"Then you are doing a poor job at taking care of a kid, have you seen his scars ? Have you seen how his quirk impacts his mental health ? Hell, did you even attempt to speak with him about his trauma ?" All for One looked away, Inko shouldn't be involved into this war, not another target of One for All.

"Tomura is special, trust me Inko, for your own good I cannot let you help him."

The lawyer scanned him, Inko moved closer, making sure she was inside All for One's personal space, anyone else would feel the urge to get away, All for One, the quirk, could send very strong vibes of hunger and make anyone fell like a prey. In Inko's case however the situation was reversed, Shigaraki was the one feeling pulled. "You are hiding something from me."

"There are things that even I cannot stop, Tomura is the result of my actions. If you get involved-"

"I am getting involved and you will have to deal with it, just like the old time. It wasn't a problem before, why would it be one now ? And I couldn't care less if he is the son le grandson of some deceased great hero, he is kid, isn't that what matters the most ?"

As Inko gestured her hands all around Shigaraki the villain progressively reached for her forearms. The contact with her skin harassed his quirk, All for One was sparking through his veins. "No, I guess we have changed at all. Fine, we will take care of Tomura together, but if you get involved with him I hope you will not mind if I get involved with Izuku."

Inko raised an eyebrow, partially ignoring the disturbing feeling of something terrible looming over her soul. "You aren't turning my son into a villain."

"No, no I promise, I just want to make sure he doesn't turn out like Endevaor."

"Do not even mention the idea, you will give me nightmares." Too late, the thought had been planted in her head but with enough time she might just forget. "Izuku seems to like you a lot ... if you can- ... it's akward to say it but-"

"A father figure ? It's a reflex to see me as one, I'm- ... physically old enough to be your husband, I have enough charisma to not scare most people, unless I need to of course and I assume I am not as monstrous as everyone says I am."

"Had you not been- ... immortal and less involved with country scale criminal empire perhaps- ... we have our reasons to keep our relationship to a professional and friendly level." And now they had to give up on their private interactions too.

"Says the lawyer had been living a healthy and stable life until she fell into vigilantism and later the charms of the greatest criminal mind to ever walk the ear-" Inko's deadpan expression ended up silencing All for One, and as soon as he shut his mouth he saw the corner of her lips moving up "Let's just agree on acting as responsible adult figures for both of them and make sure they are healthy and well educated, unlike so many of their peers who do not have their luck."

"We have an agreement then."

"We do."

Inko had insisted to help Kurogiri with tonight's meal, the bartender said she had nothing to fear and that he had been cooking for Tomura and All for One for years. But it was not the issue, Inko had to get in touch with Tomura, to make him trust her, the foundation of any good relationship

Kurogiri did not know if the boy had any specific likes and dislikes, much like Izuku he was often into his own world, what was he thinking about ? Who knows ? You see the world very differently when you are an adult, you are more aware of your existence, your limitations.

As a child- ... Inko couldn't remember, it was so long ago, back then heroes weren't as symbolic as today. All Might being a prime example, inspiration for the youngs, safety for the olds and fear for anyone who would try to fight against society. You grow up learning that the world isn't right as it is, or at least not perfect, you figure out it's a fact rather than a truth but you have to live with it.

Inko couldn't, she had enough to concede all her efforts, she would never make a change but. Why did she do it anyway ? Because she could, and it felt good. "Here you go." Izuku and Tomura were still talking about quirks, at that point anyone would have asked Izuku to change the subject of their conversation, Tomura was either very patient or genuiely interested.

Izuku thanked his mother for the food, Tomura muttered something but she couldn't quite hear it, she assumed he thanked her too, taking example on Izuku. "You are welcome Tomura." The four of them ate mostly in silence, Kaina was in her own room, she decided to rest since she expected to have a long day ahead of her.

"Tomura, have you finished the assignment Sensei gave you ?" Asked the bartender in an almost scolding tone.

"No." The young boy replied without any sign of guilt, judging by Kurogori's sigh this was something he expected.

"Sensei will not be happy about it, you played with young Izuku all day ?"

"So what ? It's not like you are going to do anything about it." The boy challenged, not even looking up from his food.

Kurogori was about to reply but a discret motion from Inko silenced him, obviously this wasn't the right approach. "How about we have a look together at these assignments when we are done eating Tomura ?" She offered guidance instead of threat and it worked, Tomura froze and starred at her, his face softening into surprise. "I am sure Shigaraki will not mind." Inko put on her warmest smile, making the boy look away.

"S-sure ..." he replied almost whispering.

A few minutes later, after putting Izuku to bed, Inko went into Tomura's bedroom. At first she thought she was in the wrong room because the light was off, but it was indeed the right place and her first impression was ... chaotic to say the least, piles of dust scattered around, a couple of books laying on the ground with torn pages, a surprisingly large collection of video game ... yes this child was falling into a loophole of depression. Speaking of Tomura, Inko almost got scattered when she finally noticed him crouching in a corner of the room. "I hope you aren't too tired. Do you mind if I switch on the light ?"

Tomura whispered something ... she decided to keep things as they were for now, she was intruding in his personal space after all. Inko went to sit next to Tomura, the boy barely moved "I would ask how you are feeling but I don't think you wish to answer. I can guess what you have been through though ... nobody helped you."

Tomura nodded slowly.

"True heroes do not exist, they are only good and bad people and the limit is always thinner than we think. It's the human nature to think about ourselves before the others, it's unnatural to go against our instincts." Inko explained, she gently placed her hand on Tomura's shoulder, he reacted better than she expected, his body shook once with the surprise, but nothing else. "But from time to time someone will be selfless enough to reach out for the other, either from their own decision or because they know how it feels to be left alone and secluded."

The boy looked at Inko, this expression, did he have the same one when Shigaraki found him ? When he got "rescued" ?

"I'm here for you, just like Shigaraki and Kurogiri, I can't stand to see someone in pain ... if it's alright, would you like to share with me what you have been throught ?"

She had done it, Tomura had been silent for a few minutes but he opened up to her.

"Tenko Shimura." That was his true name. He spoke about his life, his family, his father ... Inko didn't have all the details and yet she could make a portrait of the family, if onlyTomura's father had put less pressure over him, then perhaps he could have controlled his quirk, and this tragedy would never have happened.

But it did, and Tenko's misery only got worse afterwards. From his description, he had been running away for days. A child alone in the streets asking for help for days and nobody helped them ? It was absurd ... Tomura admitted he killed a few thugs before All for One found him, self defence in that case.

"How long have you been here ? With Shigaraki and Kurogiri ?"

"Three months ... Sensei tells me he has projects for me, he needs my help, he wants me to destroy this society. He trained me, he helped me to hunt down the people who pushed me to the bottom when I was alone. I- ... I destroyed them." Inko was shocked, Shigaraki wasn't a monster, but this was extreme. "He asked me how I felt, I'm not sure even now, it hurt them, I- ... I got revenge but it's not enough. People are still left alone by the heroes, they are still being lied to."

"You want to change that."

Tomu- ... Tenko nodded.

"You are still young, you have a lot of time to think about it. It's a noble mission you have in mind, you wish to fight against the status quo ... I understand your motivation. But there is a long road ahead, and it starts with strengthening your mind and body, Shigaraki is giving you these assignments for a reason, I'm sure he would be very proud of you if they were completed tomorrow." Inko gave a small hug to Tenko, before heading out of the room she added "I would also be proud of you."

Had she decided to stay a few seconds to listen to the noises inside the room, she would have figured out Tomura had found a new motivation.
