Siblings and Strength

A few days had passed since Izuku had learnt about the Sentai and met the others. He was back at pre-school…and now in the principal's office with his parents.

"So, wait." Hisashi asked. "You're ignoring the fact that the other boys used their Quirks...but giving my son trouble because he pushed them away AFTER making it clear he would defend himself?"

"Mr. Midoriya, please understand that this behavior is not…"

"I know its not excuseable, but I'm also seeing that my son had no choice."

"He used his Quirk as well!"

This got the parents attention.

"Um, beg pardon?" Inko asked. "Izuku is…well…"

"He doesn't have a Quirk." Hisashi said.

"So he says. But how do you explain this?"

The Principal played a video of Izuku bobbing and weaving between the bullies (one of whom, Inko realized, was her dear friend Mitsuki's son Katsuki) before the green haired boy broke into a run and leapt forward

'Wait a tic…That's my Zeo flying kick!' Hisashi realized, then another realization grew. 'Izu was able to copy that after seeing it once? ON A SCREEN?!'

He smiled and took his son into a hug

"That's my little buddy! I'm so proud of you!" The man beamed, nuzzling Izuku's face. Inko sighed with a smile before taking out from her purse Izuku's medical report.

QUIRKLESS.

The principal was losing more and more ground to stand on.

"Principal-san, are you familiar with Asui Law?" Inko asked, delighting when the principal's eyes widened. "Or the phrase 'big god damn lawsuit?' Cause you just lost our patronage and can expect a call from them: You and the teachers who have been enabling this kind of behaviour. And rest assured...you WILL lose."

She then picked her little boy up from his father's arms., smiling sweetly as she did.

"Come on sweetie, lets go get some ice cream."

"Wait, please!" The principal said. "We're just a preschool!"

"And I'M a Papa Wolf with a pay-cheque somewhere in the millions." Hisashi cut back in. "And you don't want to KNOW about her daddy."

Izuku started at his new pre-school that Monday and immeadtely knew he'd enjoy it here, even if Ka-chan wasn't with him.

"IZU!"

Mina and Tsuyu raced towards their friend, hugging and dragging him into class. The students all smiled and welcomed him warmly.

That Friday, the Sentai parents took their kids to see the new All Might movie. The kids were ecstatic and ran out of the theatre, comparing their favorite scenes and were they though the sequel was going to go with the post credits scene.

Their parents on the other hand?

"I got to say, that was an excursion." Jet groaned, although he was happy Ida had enjoyed himself and was acting like a kid.

"We paid $120 bucks for that?!" Maji complained. "We could've eaten out thrice instead of watching that!"

(AN: That's $120 for the whole party, not just one admission)

"Suddenly, I understand why Enji turned down film deals." Rei noted, spying her oldest son Natsuo typing up a review on his phone whoile Fuyumi and Shoto listened to Touya point out how most of the heroes in the movie NOT named All Might made such rookie mistakes. Shoto also chatted with Izuku about copying their parents' moves, which brought a smile to Rei's heart.

"It was okay…. I mean, I think your fights with Ooze could've been a better movie…" Inko mused.

"If the kids didn't enjoy it so much, I'd demand my money back." Beru followed. "In fact? I think I still will."

"Meh. 3 out of 5." Hisashi said. "The writing, especially the love story between Toshi and Nerumi, was elementary, the quality of acting was all over the place, the story itself was generic and the pacing was standard. Still, it did at least make the villains sympathetic and showed off an aspect of the show's world they couldn't cover in the series proper without a multi-parter and like Beru said, it was entertaining in the very least. I won't say I'll lose sleep over this one, but if Izuku wanted to, I would watch it again."

His friends and wife looked at him as if he had a second head.

"What? I AM a writer after all." He mused.

"HEY! STOP THAT KID!"

The group turned to see a lower ranked hero and several police officers chasing a little girl: She had blonde hair in meatball pigtails and yellow eyes that seemed kind of dazed…what stood o0ut most about her was that she had red covering her clothes and mouth. Red the adults recongized as not being ketchup.

The girl dropped several dull and rusty scarps of metal, along with a dead bird, before she fell to the ground. Struggling to get up, she paused when she saw Hisashi, who had been, along with Maji and Beru, racing to help her.

"F-Fire-spitter?" The girl managed.

Now it was Hisashi's turn to be shocked.

"H-how do you know that…?"

He then got a proper good look at her: The fangs, the smile, the eyes?

"Oh my god…!" Beru gasped, realizing the same thing. She then leapt in between the pursuers and the child. "What is going on? She needs medical attention! Her Quirk needs blood!"

The police and hero paused.

"I know her father! Togoro Toga!" Beru snapped. "Now get an ambulance!"

Hearing that name, the other adults leapt in as well; Rei making some ice to chill the girl's fever, Maji and Jet trying to clean her up as best they could while Inko called 911…

The kids then stepped forward, unsure how to act. Izuku and Tsuyu gave each other a look and ignoring their parents, stepped forward.

"Take what you need." Tsuyu said bluntly.

The girl didn't hesitate and bit onto the frog girl's arm until she bled. Instantly, her bruises healed and proper color returned. Tsuyu then took her arm away and Izuku quickly followed in suit. His blood seemed to bring awareness to the girl, who tried to hide in fear,

"Wait a minute, please!" Hisashi begged, getting down to the girl's level. "I-is your daddy Togoro Toga?"

The girl nodded, tears in her eyes.

"A-are you uncle Hisashi?"

Hisashi nodded and the girl began to sob, crying into his embrace. The heroes and police bandaged up Izuku and Tsuyu, who were just happy to have helped.

A day later, they were all at a funeral.

Hisashi and Sorahiko wept freely

"...You may have been a hard-headed and hot-blooded fool, but you were and always will be my brother." Hisashi said.

Sorahiko just collapsed in front of his son's grave.

"Dammit..."

First it was someone he had considered a brother. Then it had been Nana, his best friend. And now...his son.

And for the girl, now named Himiko, she relived the worst moment of her life over and over.

Flashback

"Papa!" Himiko called out as the sled he;d strapped her to and pushed raced down the mountain.

Their plane had been crashed by the pilot, who'd revealed himself to be an old foe of her papa's. Papa had gotten hurt shielding Himiko from debris, but was standing strong as he faced off against this enemy.

"Himiko." Toguro said, a gentle smile on his face. "Remember; those who smile? They are always the strongest."

"PAPA!" Himiko bawled desperately, unintentionally sparking an avalanche.

Her father, still smiling, turned to face the monster in front of him. They charged once more as snow rushed towards them.

Through her blood connection to her papa, she could see his last moments.

"This is where you finally lose, Toguro." The creature had

Himiko could feel her father beam in pure and utter pride. What he said next would haunt her for the next year:

"She's safe." Toguro grinned. "I've already won."

Then the connection was severed by a bitter cold.

Flashback end

She'd been rescued the next day and sent to live with her mother; an unloving woman who only held onto Himiko for inheritance related issues, otherwise partying and drinking away the days, not caring for her daughter's condition and usually locking Himiko up until she 'returned to normal.'

The girl had broken out (or rather, her mother forgot to lock up) and wandered the streets, deseprate to find ANY kind of blood to calm her down and make her see straight. And she had…before civilains called a hero to take her away for disturbing the peace.

One the service ended, Hisashi sat down next to Himiko.

"Well, Himi...I guess there's no beating around it; would you rather go to an orphanage...or stay here with your...?"

Himiko cut him off with a hug.

"Well, I guess that answers that." Hisashi beamed.

The Midoriyas were as kind as her papa had been. Izuku was curious but never hated her Quirk…and Mama Inko?

Never had Himiko known a nicer woman; warm smiles, good food, buying her nice clothes and just being happy to have her around.

"Would you like to hear how I first met your daddy?" Inko asked one day when the two kids were drawing. They stopped and eagerly listened as Inko began:

Flashback

14 year old Inko walked home after another day of school. Mitsuki, who usually'guarded' her, was suspended for pummelling a boy she had refused for a date, but so far, she was doing okay.

Until she came across a strench of road alongside the lake and found herself surrounded by punks.

"Think of it as a toll, rich girl." One of the punks asked. "You give us all the cash you got on you, we let you pass."

"Of course, we can find other ways of payment..." Another smiled perversely.

"Like a good therapist?" Inko smirked, only to lose that confidence as she found herself grabbed from behind.

"HEY!"

The punks turned to see a boy with green hair glaring at them.

Hisashi Akatani. Age 14

Quirk: Fire Breath

"Leave her alone." Hisashi ordered. "She's not from her and probably lost."

"Oh, and what're YOU going to do, Mr. 'scared of my Quirk?'" The leader smirked, his followers laughing with him. "I mean, seriously? You live under that retarded and pedo 'hero' and yet you can't do anything!"

"...Well." Hisashi, taking in a breath, mused. "I can do this."

A punch to the stomach.

"Or this."

A chop to the knees and two feet kick to the chin.

"And this."

Hisashi turned his attention to the punk holding Inko and leapt upwards before kicking him in the head. He let go of Inko, but then the other two punks jumped him…before another figure entered the fray, kicking one into the river and poking the eyes holding Hisashi in the eyes, forcing them to let him go and for Hisashi to deliver a two foot kick.

"How many times I got to tell you, Fire-spitter?" A new voice asked. "I'm the only one who can kick and or watch your ass."

"Toguro?"

Toguro Himiko. Age 14

Quirk: Bloody Body.

Hisashi cleared blood from his nose and mouth as his brother helped him up. Togoro smirked as he saw the blood on his brother's hand and face and licked it from his own, feeling much more enthusted.

"Lets keep it PG, okay?" Hisashi suggested.

"Yeah, yeah. Sure, sure. Whatever."

The next two minutes were straight out of an action movie; the brothers watching each other's backs, linking up to throw the other into another punk.

Inko found herself clapping and feeling overjoyed when they finally knocked the last punk down for good…until the leader snuck in one more insult:

"…Stupid, whimpy, sons of a creep basatrds."

Togoro literally froze midstride.

"...Bastard?" Toguro asked.

"Uh oh..." Hisashi teethed.

"What did you say?" Toguro asked,

"You deaf?" The punk smirked.

"T-they didn't mean it!" Hisashi quickly said, motioning for his attackers to stop.

"Yeah we did"

"Well maybe you should take it back?" Hisashi begged, his hands in a praying stance and his head bobbing towards the other boy.

"...They're mine, Hisashi." Toguro ordered. "Stay out of this one."

Hisashi smiled weakly...then adopted a sinister smiled.

"Go for it, Blood-head. Oh yeah, they also called Sorahiko a creep and a pedo."

Toguro let out an enraged roar, then leapt towards the punks, a bloodthirsty grin on his face. Hisashi covered his and Inko's eyes.

"You'd think I'd be used to this, growing up with him." Hisashi mused. "You'd be wrong."

"Still, can't imagine most bullies pick on you." Inko mused. "I'm Inko Midoriya, by the way."

"Hisashi Akatani and…we've actually met; your friend was flirting with buddy Masa and,,,"

"Ooooooh.:" Inko grimaced, remembering that.

"No worries." Hisashi assured her before he collapsed to the ground. "Ah crap. One of em did get me there…Oh, and one had a delayed injury quirk, too…Crud. Old man Sorahiko is going to hate this….!"

as a few minutes later, the two opened their eyes to see Toguro wiping dust off his uniform and straightening up his shirt.

"Everything cool on that end?"

"Yeah, thanks for that. Hey, I thought you cut class." Hisashi asked as Inko helped him to his feet.

"They owed me money." Toguro said, taking and emptying their wallets before tossing them back to them. "I want the rest by Monday, you got it?"

The punks merely groaned. Toguro grunted and kicked them each one more time.

"And if you pick on a cute girl again, I'll kill you and use your skin for soup!" Toguro added.

More groans greeted him.

"Cute?" Inko mused. "I thought you said I was…bland?"

"Oh, ya heard that? Hey, Mitsuki is smoking!" Toguro smirked. "But even I can tell that you're a cutie. Anyways, you do your thing, fire-spitter. I'll let the old man know what happened. Later, flamer!"'

Inko blushed at Togoro's response before looking at the battered Hisashi.

"Yeah, he does not have a fliter. Y-you better get on home…"

"And leave you like this?!" Inko called out.

A portal suddenly opened right behind the two children, and from said portal emerged a man in a bartender outfit.

"Young mi...MISTRESS!"

He then dashed towards Inko, acting like a mother.

"What happened? Are you okay? Do you need some juice? Did this boy try to harm you? WHO DOES KUROGIRI HAVE TO DEPORT...?!"

"I'm okay, Giri." Inko assured her butler. "This boy saved me."

Kuorgiri finally noticed the beaten and battered young man who Inko was supporting.

"I...I cannot thank you enough, young...?"

"Akatani. Hisashi Akatani." Hisashi said weakly.

"Please, at least let me put some ice on those knuckles and bandage you otherwise." 'Giri' insisted. "Step through the portal, both of you."

Flashback end

Himiko and Izuku listened with adoring eyes.

"Daddy was so cool!" They said together.

"...I got my butt handed to me." Hisashi pouted.

Inko smiled and cuddled with her husband, then dragging a finger across his chest

"Well, you certainly redeemed yourself later, my big, strong, brave dragon..."

Hisashi blushed.

"Inko...the kids are watching..."

The doorbell rang and outside stood Maji and Mina

"...She called you, didn't she?" Hisashi asked.

Maji beamed

"Hey you two, who wants a sleepover?"

THAT'S RIGHT! ITS BACK!

SO sorry for taking so long! this chapter was hard to write, with Himiko's bits. I hope I did good.

Next time; Sentai and Ranger training begins!

Then we jump a few years ahead to what should've been a certain fateful meeting…but something else is going to happen instead!

Omake: Togoro's Will

"I, Togoro Toga, being of somewhat sound mind and definite sound body, do hereby declare this to be my final will and hence, render the previous one null and void."

It was a full room; the Midoriya family, Sorahiko and two new faces

"Firstly, to my ex-wife Ayano. Who used me as a meal ticket and trophy, fought with me and cried for me to spoil and pamper her when I made it big before ignoring me and our daughter whenever things got a little rough? To my Ayano, I leave…A boot to the head."

"Wait, what?"

WHACK!

"OW!"

"And another if she hasn't been taking care of Himiko."

WHACK!

"OW!"

"But still, there WAS love in our relationship at some point. You did give me my precious daughter. You also long admired my prized harmonica and since I no longer will be playing it, I bequeath…a boot to the head. And another for all Himiko's birthdays you were too drunk to bother attending."

Two more boots were thrown.

"Next to my adoptive father, Gran Torino…"

"Oh boy…" The old man whimpered.

"To Sorahiko, who beat me senseless, trained me until my Quirk was broken and has never once cut me any slack in all the years under his care….I leave my shares in the various snack companies I advertised for and three crates of candy."

"….Really?"

"And a boot to the head."

"Ow! I deserved that…."

"And one more for Ayano, the skank that she is."

"OW! OH COME ON!"

"Finally, to my adoptive brother Hisashi….To good old Fire-Spitter, who was always patient with me, tried to help me see there was more to life than fighting and who shared my dream with me for the longest…I leave this pre-recorded message for him to play at his leisure, preferably in the company of his wife Inko, their kid and the rest of our old gang: Maji Ashido, Beru Asui, Jet Ida and Rei Todoroki. Spoiler…. I am sorry for how we ended things, my brother."

Hisashi tentatively took the envelope, already fighting back tears.

"I also bequeath a boot to the head for how sickeningly sweet you got whenever Inko came up."

"OOF! There it is!"

"And another for Ayano if she hasn't stormed off in a huff yet."

After that one, the lady did storm out of the room.

"Next to my manager…To Chad, who brought me into the life, advised me well in the ways of training and eating, taught me how to work the crowds and make the most of any role, looked after Himiko as best he could whenever I had a match…"

Himiko shot the man a grateful look.

"To Chad, I leave…a boot to the head."

WHACK!

"OW!" chad said. "Oh well. I DID still get 10% of everything not in the will."

"Next to my cat, Curry. I leave my entire, vast…Boot to the head."

WHACK!

"MEOW!"

"And finally, to my lawyer, who has helped me on this will, I leave not a boot to the head, but a rabid, Rabies carrying wolverine…TO BE PLACED IN HIS PANTS?!"

Beru and Maji smiled evilly as they dropped said animal.

"A-AND I LEAVE MY ENTIRE ESTATE AND ALL OTHER PROPERTIES TO HIMIKO SO THAT SHE CAN DO WHATEVER SHE WANTS WITH HER LIFE!"
