Lena's POV

Every memory and emotion I had that dealt with Kara flooded my memory like a movie only I could see. She's worried. I need to say something. Anything to let her know I'm okay. Blinking into focus, I smiled at the worried blonde beside me. "Hey…"

"Hey…are you okay? You went somewhere."

Bringing a shaky hand to Kara's face, I caressed her warm cheek with my thumb. "I'm fantastic. That was incredible and the shock I needed."

Kara's brows furrowed. "The shock you needed?"

"You flew to my office on a bus for our first solo interview." I grinned as the realization sank in.

"Y-You remember?" I nodded. "Everything?"

"Everything." Tangling my hand in blonde locks, I pulled my future wife down for a kiss. My kiss. Her Lena's kiss.

The next morning, I walked into the D.E.O. with a triumphant demeanor. It caught everyone's attention. "Either something happened or something is about to happen." Confused when I walked past without a word, Alex followed. "Lena? Where are you going? Lena?"

"I'm going to see my mother before her court hearing." I swiped my ID card and waited for the elevator.

Alex jumped into the elevator before the doors closed. "Your ID doesn't work for the final door."

"But yours does."

"I…" Alex was speechless. The doors opened and I walked out, the agent close behind. "What are you planning to say to her?" She jogged in front of me. "Wait." Placing her hands on my shoulders, Alex studied me. "That fire. You got your memories back!"

"I did. And now I'm going to tell my mother to rot in Hell."

Wrapping her arms around me, Alex cheered. "I'm so happy for you! Does Kara know? Where is she?"

"Thank you, Alex. Yes, she knows. At work. I told her this was something I needed to do on my own."

"Understandable." Feeling her earpiece vibrate, Alex tapped it. "Yes, Sir?" Shock washed over the woman's face. "Right away."

Folding my arms, I smirked. "He told you to stop me, didn't he?"

"No. He said to let you in. Astra is waiting for us at the final door."

I followed the agent down the long hallway. Meeting Astra, she smiled knowingly. "I hoped this day would come. I'm glad. Are you ready?"

"Yes."

Entering the small room, I kept my face as stoic as possible. "Hello, Mother." Rounding the table, I smirked seeing my mother handcuffed and chained to the table.

Tired eyes examined me. "You look well." Shifting, she motioned towards the empty seat across from her. "Join me?" Taking a seat, I glanced back at Astra and Alex who stood on either side of the door. "Are they staying? I can't harm you or anyone else."

"They're staying. You're clever. I'm sure you've already tried to figure out how to escape a time or two."

"You're right," she shrugged. "Being underground makes it a bit harder. I've been down here for at least a few months. I've kept track of time by how many meals I'm given."

"You're going to court soon. Prison after that." I couldn't help the satisfaction in my voice.

"Do you really hate me that much?"

"You abducted me and tried to make me kill the woman I love. You were going to have me kill my chosen family after that." The venom induced dream felt so real that I had to keep reminding myself it wasn't true. "The thing you didn't count on was that I was strong enough to fight the cocktail you poisoned me with."

"Your chosen family?" My mother scoffed. "The two aliens and a group of humans? They're all beneath you, Lena. You could have helped clean this world of alien filth."

"That's not a world I want to live in." Keep your temper in check. Don't let her see the anger. Don't give her the satisfaction. Standing, I leaned forward to meet my mother's gaze. "You failed. I remember everything from before the venom."

"How? The venom and fear was supposed to erase your memory."

"You underestimate my strength and the intelligence of my family. They reverse engineered the venom and gave my body the opportunity to heal and remember. Goodbye, Mother." Pausing at the door, I smiled triumphantly. "I hope you won't be offended by not receiving a wedding invitation." With that, I left.

Thankfully, Alex waited until we were in the elevator to speak again. "So, Kara accepted your proposal?" She tried to keep her excitement to a minimum.

"Yes, before I regained my memories." Strong arms wrapped around my neck. "Ooph." I will never get used to the random hugging. "We're not telling everyone yet."

"Of course. I'm happy for you both."

"Thank you, Alex."

Entering the main area again, I approached Mr. Henshaw. "A word?" Everyone stared as we walked off.

Mr. Henshaw folded his arms after we entered a nearby empty office. "How can I help you, Miss Luthor?"

"Will you close the door?" He did as I asked. "You're an alien. I'm not sure what kind. I just know that you have to be able to read minds. There is no other explanation for why you would suddenly let me walk in here and go to a floor that you've banished me from for months. Please, do not insult my intelligence or gaslight me."

The air between us changed. "You realized this on your own?" He paused, choosing his words. "I am. Only a select few are privileged to this information."

"The Super Friends and Astra?"

"And a few others." Uncrossing his arms, he continued. "I'm the last son of Mars. One of my abilities is to read thoughts. I do my best to ignore them." A grimace flashed across the man's features. "It's difficult because some of you think so loudly."

"Kara and Alex?" I laughed.

"And you when Kara is around." An almost grin cracked the older man's face. "I'm telling you this because I can see that you're trustworthy on your own merit and you'll be around for a long time." Standing, Mr. Henshaw held out his hand. "My name is J'onn Jones. It's nice to meet you, Miss Luthor."

"Thank you for trusting me." Taking his hand, I shook it. "You know if we're on a first name basis around everyone, their heads will explode."

"I've been looking forward to that day for weeks."

A genuine laugh escaped me as we walked out. "I'm sure." All eyes were on us. Alex was the most confused.

Mother's court case took over a week. By the end, she and all members of Cadmus were found guilty. Each member would be sent to a separate maximum security prison to keep them from communicating. Most news outlets painted me as a scorned daughter even after my testimony. The days were bearable because Kara never left my side.

Once everything settled down, my call sheet became shorter. No one wanted quotes about the case or information about company stocks. It was business as usual. I was able to get work done in the office and the lab without interruption.

Knowing Cat had Kara busy, I asked Astra and Alex to join me for an hour. I had something to discuss with them. Something Kara couldn't know about.

Turning on the jammer, I welcomed Alex and Astra into my office. "Thank you for coming on such short notice."

"Of course." Alex hung her coat and took a seat on the couch.

Astra did the same. "What did you wish to discuss with us?"

"I know what Kara has told me about proposals on Krypton but I wasn't sure if I needed to ask for your blessing as well."

"That's more of a human tradition from my understanding." Astra shifted to get more comfortable.

"Normally, you'd ask the person's parents but considering how important the two of you are to Kara, I found it fitting to ask the two of you."

"I knew it wouldn't take long once you found each other," Astra began. "You losing your memory was only ever going to be a temporary setback. Little One would have married you either way."

"Astra is right. Kara had fully come to terms with you not getting your memories back. She never stopped loving you."

Warmth filled my chest. "I'm glad I got them back. I wanted to be the woman Kara fell in love with. And to remember all of her."

"You have my blessing," Astra smiled. "I unofficially gave it to you when I welcomed you to our family."

"You're too good to Kara to not give you my blessing," Alex grinned. "Although, I think you'd still marry Kara even if we didn't give you our blessing."

"You're not wrong," I smirked. Walking towards the drink cart, I poured myself something to drink. "Water?" Both women declined.

"Have you chosen a ring?" Astra questioned.

"Of course. Do you want to see it?"

"Duh!" Alex laughed. "Do you have it already or just something in mind?"

"I've ordered it. I should receive it in the next day or two." Pulling up a picture of the ring, I gave Alex the tablet. "What do you think?"

"That's gorgeous." Alex passed the device to Astra.

"Kara will love it." A dark brow rose. "The Sapphire row of stones crossed over the row of diamonds is perfect. She has always loved the color blue."

It reminds her of the sky. Of the freedom she feels when she flies. "Finding the perfect ring was easier than I expected." Placing the tablet on my desk, I continued. "I already knew her ring size and that she liked silver more than gold so that wasn't an issue. I'll find a way to reinforce the silver considering a Kryptonian will be wearing it."

"Yeah…" Alex laughed. "So many rings have found their demise because of Kara. She's gotten better though."

Kara's POV

Flying past Lena's office, I noticed the blinds were drawn and the jammer was on. I wonder what's going on. She's not activated her watch so she should be fine. Before I could dwell any longer, my earpiece vibrated. "Yes, Miss Grant?"

"On your way back, would you grab lunch? I'll order it and you can pick it up."

"Of course, Miss Grant."

"Text me your order. I'm feeling generous today."

Ha. My normal order would blow your mind. "Thank you. I'll do that shortly."

By the time I was done with Miss Grant's list and my own, Lena's blinds were open. Landing, I tapped on the glass. Turning in her chair, Lena waved me in as she continued her conversation. "Of course." Repositioning the phone between her ear and shoulder, the CEO scanned the spreadsheet before her. "The projections for this quarter are on track even with the dip from the court case."

Taking a seat on the leather couch, I scrolled through emails. Making sure Lena was still occupied, I continued looking for the perfect ring. I'm torn between black and white diamonds or an emerald. Glancing towards the businesswoman, I smiled. I can't believe I'm going to marry her. There are so many things that we need to talk about first but I can't wait to see her in a wedding dress or whatever she decides to wear.

Hearing the call end, I exited the browser window and put my phone away. Looking up, I smiled at the brunette who made her way towards me. "Hey. How's your day been?"

"Pretty good." Tilting my chin upwards, Lena kissed me quickly before sitting beside me. "Yours?"

"Good. Miss Grant has kept me busy." Shifting , I laid my head in Lena's lap. "I train with Astra tonight. That's where I was heading. What are your plans?"

"Comfy?" I nodded with a grin. "I was going to invite you over for dinner. What time do you think you'll be done training?"

"Not sure. Unless something happens, we're normally done by ten." I watched as a skillful finger traced the Zoe-El crest.

"Between ten and eleven is when you normally eat a second dinner. Would you like to come by? I can have something waiting for you." I love the fact that she knows me so well. "What's that look for?"

"It's just-," taking the woman's hand in mine, I entwined our fingers. "It's nice being with someone who knows me as well as you do and doesn't judge me."

"I can say the same. You never judged me by my last name even when I did." Glancing towards the door, I sat up. "Jess?"

"Yup. I need to head out." Getting to my feet, I kissed my fiancée.

"See you tonight." Spinning me, Lena kissed me once more. "One for the flight."

"See you soon." With that, I stepped off the ledge and flew off.

Entering the D.E.O., I made my way towards the training room. "Ready, Little One?"

"Always." As the kryptonite lights came on, the shield kicked in. "Oops. I keep forgetting to change before we train."

"Go change. It'll take the lights a few minutes to fully charge."

After a quick change, I reentered the room. I immediately felt the effects from the green kryptonite. "What are we up to now?"

"Forty five percent. We've come a long way." Blocking an attack, I agreed. "Have you found a ring yet?"

"I'm torn between two color choices. I found some that are black and white diamonds or an emerald with diamonds on either side. The band is going to be silver. That much I know."

"Both sound nice."

"I wonder if I can talk to a jeweler about having an emerald put in place of a diamond. I'll show you the rings I'm going between when we're done."

"Sounds like you've put a lot of thought into this."

I ducked just in time to miss Astra's strike. "I have. Once I'm done here, I'm going over to Lena's. If possible, I want to bring up the gold/platinum kryptonite discussion. I'm almost certain she overheard our conversation the night she fainted in the lab."

"She did." Astra deadpanned. Catching my mental short circuit, the older woman caught me in a headlock and pinned my arm. "You let your guard down when Lena's mentioned. You need to keep working on that."

Tapping twice, Astra released me. "How do you know?"

"I heard her breathing change. You were too scared to notice." Tossing me a towel, Astra turned off the kryptonite lights and switched them to the sun ray ones.

"That explains your tone change." Feeling my strength return, I rolled my shoulders. "How would we even get gold or platinum kryptonite? It's not on Earth."

"I can tell J'onn how to create it. I can oversee it while he does the actual work since it doesn't affect him."

Wiping my face with a towel, I wasn't sure if I was amazed or horrified. "You know how to synthesize it?"

"I do. There are a few reasons why your mother and I didn't see eye to eye. I am a firm believer that knowledge is power and she believed certain things shouldn't be known."

"I can see that." I wonder what else they didn't agree on. "The books you let me read but told me to keep secret…"

"All the ones your mother and father refused to let you read. I couldn't bear to see you read the same book for a fourth time once you read everything in their library."

"I appreciate it."

"Knowledge is power, Little One." Placing a hand on my shoulder Astra met my gaze with a sad smile. "You're not so little anymore. If you'd like, I'll stop calling you that."

"No! Don't. No matter how old I get, I'll always be your Little One." Wrapping my arms around my aunt's neck, I buried my face in dark locks. "I'm not sure how we're doing the wedding since Lena's mother and brother clearly won't be there but I want you to be part of it."

"I will do whatever you need me to do."

"Thank you."

Xxx

"Right on time." Lena smiled as she opened the door. "Come in." Stepping to the side, she allowed me entrance. "Dinner should be ready soon. If you need to shower or anything, feel free to while I finish."

"Thanks." I kissed Lena's cheek as I walked by. "I'll shower real quick and be right back." Since I used my powers, a shower didn't take long.

Lena finished plating the food as I rejoined her. "Not fair," she smirked playfully.

I guess this could be an opening. "Can we talk about something that's pretty important?"

"Of course. Table or couch?"

"Since I'm the only one eating, I'm fine standing here. I'll clean up once I'm done."

Eyeing me, Lena folded the dish towel she had in her hands. "Kara, what's this about? You're starting to panic." Placing the plate on the bar, I took a steady breath. "Okay, now you're starting to worry me. You put down food after a training session."

"Astra told me you overheated our conversation about platinum and gold kryptonite."

"I did, yes." Lena paused. "I've also thought about it."

Of course she has. She's a planner. "What are your thoughts?"

"I'll become Kryptonian-like. I don't want you to give up your powers for me. By giving up your powers, you lose a lifetime with Astra."

"You'll be extending your life on Earth for…who knows how long."

"More time to work on your challenge trying to detect different dimensions." Rounding the counter, Lena stood before me. Placing her hands on my shoulders, green eyes met mine. "I've thought about this. You have family, I don't." Lena continued before I could argue. "I am aware you, Astra, Alex, and our friends are my family now. You know what I meant." Cupping my face, the shorter woman kissed my forehead. "I'm also a businesswoman and a scientist. A longer life allows me to do more for this world. To help humans and aliens figure out a way to deal with all of the Lillians of the world."

"You have given this thought."

"I have." Taking the red string between her fingers, Lena smiled. "We found each other even from different planets because of this. I want more than fifty or sixty years with you. Eventually, I'll have to step away from L-Corp but that was going to happen anyway. To keep me occupied, I can always come to the D.E.O. full time. J'onn and Astra have been scouting me for a while."

Blood drained from my face. "Y-You just called Space Dad by his first name. When did that start?"

"The day after I regained my memories. Now," picking up the plate, Lena offered it. "Finish eating. We have a wedding to plan."
