Review response section:
Colossus Bridge: Glad to see you like it even with the drowbacks typical for my writing style!
Anyways, the next chapter.
Narrator pow:
"What are the orders?" Engineer asked as his holotable activated.
"Go deep and brave into the Hutt Space and remove the Hutt part from it." Count Dooku responded with decisive elegance. "May no cartel remain after your armies and fleets deal with them."
"Will do." Engie nodded before the transmission ended. "Buckle up, boys! We go for the Hutts!" He called further into the corridoor.
"Roger, roger!"
"*Sniff* I smell... Slavery." Soldier commented, taking in some air as his fleet entered the so far undisputed territory.
"By the way, they know we are here." Scout added, pointing at some small corvette that run away from them deeper into the space.
"Not the finest moment." Spy commented with disappointed face while Soldier realised he forgot to exhale. "But let's get to work, shall we?" He added, throwing and spinning his Big Earner between the hands for fun.
"But where?" Heavy asked him, in a meantime throwing his sandwitch into Soldier so he could be choked a little bit longer.
"There." Sniper responded first, pointing at the planet of Tatooine while Medic assisted Soldier with the choking.
"This piece of sand?" Scout asked.
"We need to take planets step by step." Spy responded. "If you want, you can just rush into Nal Hutta and get blown away by all other mercenaries in the galaxy. I won't mind."
"Go to hell Spy." Bostonian scoffed, turning back to Soldier who by now had his situation sorted out. "Come on, though guy! We have slave owners to nail!"
"Roger that!" Soldier saluted with pompatic attitude, rushing after him with the whip.
"Oh well, at least the children are out to play." Frenchman snorted, looking back at the rest of his team. "Now, let us move!"
"Hey, you!" One of the Gamorrean guards called out, pointing his axe as his fellow in race and occupation.
"What?" Other one asked, turning away from empty stare aimed at far away rocks.
"What is... This?" First one wondered, pointing upwards at the falling line of red light.
"Hmm... Let's think about this."
"It's a bird!"
"No, it's a plane."
"Hmm... I know! It's a mi-!"
"Blammo!" Soldier laughed, looking down at the red blast which evaporated entire from his droid gunship gate entreance to a palace.
"Nice work, bozo!" Scout congratulated him. "Now get in there and blast the Hutt's hut out!"
"Roger that!" Soldier salited before rocket jumping high away with his new goal in mind.
"Takes the course to the Rancors please!" Scout shouted towards the gunship's 'brain'. "I heard these things were good to be hunted!"
"By your command."
"Friendly missile strike inbound." B1 Battle Droid said, activating the salvo of space-to-ground missiles from the ship as the masisve planetarny bombardment of a random desert planet began.
"Can you tell me why are we doing this, again?" Barriss asked, talking to her assigned droid commander on the bridge.
"To destory Hutts. We are programmed to view them as evil enemies to defeat after all." Droid responded, shrugging his arms with a 'whatever' feeling coming from him. "Oh, and Commander Scout wanted us to stay close in case Hutt reinforcements or random Republican insurrection tried to help them."
"Repiblican Holdouts?" Barriss asked, just before a realisation struck her. "Oh right, the common enemy."
"Speaking of enemy..." Droid added, looking further into the space as several smaller ships emerged from hyperspace. "We have enemies coming towards us."
"Whose ships are those, exacly?" Barriss quickly asked while droids on instinct run to the battle stations.
"Unknown, but propably Hutt-paid mercenaries." Commander droid responded firmly. "I don't think they are a match for us..."
"Well played." Spy said, looking down onto the chess board where Engineer just gave him a double tower checkmate.
"You're too focused on the flanks." Texan mam responded, standing up from the chair and correcting his construction helmet. "Sometimes you just gotta use a little less gun."
"Speaking of guns... "Sniper added from the siÄ™, obsering outsides throu the scope on his Bazaar Bargain. "This looks like a gun." He added, pointimg his laser aim assist at the gigantic tube sticking out of the desert sand.
"Well, I see the similarity." Eeth nodded, looking at the structure from few meters to his left. "The force tells me that this was made... Really not long ago."
"Just finished, in fact." Aayla added, walking up to still disappointed Spy. "Then again, that's why we lowered our ships to investigate."
"Agreed." Spy nodded, standing up with her moderate help. "Hutts are gangsters, not religious cult. Having such a thing here only implies a creation of a superweapon! Man, let's get sttaight to the point."
"Da." Heavy nodded, walking in with a box of sandwitches in tow. "Everyone ready?"
"Sure thing, pardner." Engie added, taking out his Eureka Effect and swinging it wildly around himself. "Nowy let's get this show on the road!"
"Go haircut trashcans." Soldier commented, walking past two visibly shelled Gamorrean guards, then kicking third's corpse to the side as he walked deeper into the dark catacombs of what seemed to be a palace turned into fortress. Windows filled with random materials, endless corridoors added at the last moment, weapon stockpiles whenever you turn around. Yup, checks everything.
The only thing lacking was actual crew to defend the damn thing. I mean sure, he just took out three of them, but that's when the context comes in. These were the only guards who even were there. Needless to Say, he wasn't very satisfied with the mission he had.
"Damnit! When someone will even show up?" Soldier asked out loud, then turning around to see a dozen of random guns pointed right at his face. "That's what books get you, professor!"
"It's a lot more fun when they're not shootin' back." Scout commented, taking a leisure of shooting rancors from high above to improve on his marksmanship.
"Transmission from Commander Soldier incoming." Gunship announced in It's robotic tone, making Scout roll his eyes.
"Ehh... Let him speak."
"Scout! I am trapped in a facility full of robot unicorns! I need some help!"
"Nice!"
"What the fu-!" Soldier protested, But his connection was cut off short.
"I heard enough, let's just go and save his ass." Scout rolled his eyes, almost as if he didn't wanted to help him.
"By your command."
"Haa-hahahahahaa..." Demoman laughed, smiling deviously as he carpet bombed the weird structure with the mix of Scottish Resistance and the Base Jumper. "They're gonna find ya' all dead in the attic..."
"Just remember to not detonate when allies are inside." Spy added to him, flying nearby in his seat-helicopter taunt.
"You know that friendly fire is off?" Engineer asked him, flying down by his side on top of a Vulture-class droid starfighter. "Like, always and ever?"
"..." Spy didn't respond, instead contemplenting about all the mistakes he made in his life.
"Now that the Frenchie is frozen in thought, let's do the job." Sniper added, taking out his Machina and aiming towards the ground.
"Heck yes!"
"Yeeesss! Dooo ittt!"
