Long time no see guys. A lot's happened since I last uploaded. RWBY Volume 9 came out. And we got news of HBO adapting the Harry Potter novels into a tv series. While I am grateful that Goblet of Fire will get the proper adaptation it deserves, I am a little nervous about the casting since the movies weren't that long ago. Still I heard great things about the adaptation of The Last of Us so I'm sure HBO's got this.

Don't own either Harry Potter or RWBY.

Friday night has finally come to Beacon and students could not be more excited for the weekend. Several students were planning on going down to the city, others were planning on sleeping the whole weekend. Teams RWBY and JNPR were excited for something else. Ruby and Nora in particular.

"Four chapters tonight!" Ruby cheered, jumping on to Yang's bed.

"Easy sister. You're going to topple my bed over," Yang scolded as she joined Ruby.

Blake picked up the book and looked at where she left the bookmark. "Looks like we're already halfway through the book. We might be able to finish it up this weekend."

At hearing this Nora deflated. "This story can't be over already."

"It does feel like Harry's story shouldn't end so soon," Jaune agreed.

Team RWBY looked at each other confused. "Did we not tell you?" Yang asked.

"Tell us what?" Pyrrah wondered.

"There's seven of these books," Blake explained. "The person who granted us this book will give us the second one when we're finished with this one."

"Really? That's great," Jaune said.

"Well then let's get started," Ren said as he walked towards Blake. "Given the order that we've been going, I believe that it should be my turn now." Blake nodded and handed Ren the book. He went back to the wall where Nora was and sat down. "So this chapter is called the Midnight Duel."

"And Harry's already getting himself into trouble," Weiss groaned.

"This has Malfoy written all over it," Yang said.

"Unless Ron and Granger somehow wind up having a fight," Jaune thought.

Weiss disagrees with that. "Not in the middle of the night. Granger doesn't strike me as the type to willingly break the rules for no real reason."

"Do any of these kids know how to properly duel?" Blake wondered.

"If we let Ren read we'll find out!" Nora yelled. Ren calmed her down and started the chapter.

Harry never would have guessed that he would hate someone more than his cousin. But that was before Draco entered the picture.

"I mean it's not like Harry knew a lot of people before now so that's a pretty short list," Weiss said, though she did agree.

Good news was that Gryffindors only had to deal with the Slytherins during Potions class. So Harry didn't see him much.

"Yeah but he has to deal with Snape and Malfoy at the same time," Blake pointed out. "I'd rather take one over the other."

"That would make Potions class much worse," Jaune agreed.

Bad news was that it only lasted until the coming Thursday. A notice in the Gryffindor common room announced that first year flyers will be having class with the Slytherins. Harry had been looking forward to it since term started and now he was worried about the prospect of looking like a fool in front of Malfoy.

"Oh please. I doubt Malfoy did any flying himself," Nora scoffed.

"I don't know Nora. If Malfoy was raised in a family of wizards then they likely know a way to teach their son how to fly as a child without getting caught," Pyrrah countered. Nora snapped her fingers in annoyance.

"That must be why first year students aren't allowed to bring a broomstick to school. That way the muggleborns don't feel left out," Ren said.

"Then it's no wonder Malfoy was so annoyed by it back in Diagon Alley," Yang said.

Ron assures Harry that he'll be fine in their class and says that Malfoy's most likely all talk with the way he goes on about flying. And indeed Malfoy did talk a lot about flying and how he always seemingly avoided helicopters.

"Does he even know what a helicopter is?" Pyrrah asked rhetorically.

Others who grew up in wizarding families talked about their flying experiences as well. Seamus apparently zoomed all around the countryside as a kid and Ron will tell anyone who listened about when he nearly collided with a hang glider on Charlie's old broom.

"Ouch. Hope no one got hurt," Ruby said.

"And I hope they were able to cover that up," Yang wondered. Now that she thought about it, just how did these people stay hidden for so long? Surely someone must have caused a huge incident that couldn't just be brushed off so easily. Especially given that they had a war going on for about ten years just before this book began. Yang just gave a shrug. The books will probably give an answer eventually.

Ron even got into an argument with his dorm mate Dean Thomas about football. He failed to see what was exciting about a game where no one flies and there is only one ball.

"Aren't all muggle sports like that though?" Blake asked. "Two different teams trying to get one ball to a goal."

"Sounds like Quidditch isn't like that though," Jaune said.

"Does this mean we're about to learn more of the sport?" Nora asked, trying to look over Ren's shoulder but he held the book away from her.

"Let me read Nora and we can find out together," Ren requested. Nora settled down and Ren brought the book back to eye level.

Both Neville and Granger were extremely nervous by the whole prospect. Neville because of how accident prone he was.

"True," Yang said. "That kid's clumsier than our uncle."

"I didn't even think that would have been possible," Ruby said.

And Granger because this was something she couldn't learn from a book. Not that she hasn't tried as she ranted off about a book she read called Quidditch Through the Ages before the mail showed up.

"Why would she read a book that highlighted a sport? Wouldn't an instructional guide be more helpful?" Pyrrah wondered.

"We don't know how long Muggleborns were considered a normal thing so it's likely they don't have a book like that yet," Blake said.

"Besides, it'd be easier to learn from an instructor in case something goes wrong," Ren added.

Harry hasn't had any mail since Hagrid's letter. Something Malfoy likes to take notice of as he opens up packages from his home.

"Just when I thought that punk couldn't get any lower," Nora growled. Ren placed a hand on her shoulder but his other hand was curled up into a fist.

Neville just opened up a package from his grandmother which was a small glass orb called a Remembrall. The inside shows red smoke, showing that you forgot something.

"That sounds stupid," Yang said.

"What would be the point if you can't remember what it was that you forgot?" Weiss asked.

While Neville was lost in his memories, Malfoy passed by and snatched the Remembrall from Neville.

"This kid's just asking for a fight," Yang said, punching her fists together.

Harry and Ron quickly stood up to defend Neville but Professor McGonagall quickly arrived on the scene asking what the problem was. Malfoy quickly hands the Remembrall back and said he was just looking.

Pyrrah breathed a sigh of relief that things haven't escalated. As much as she wants to see Malfoy get what's coming to him, she didn't want it to be at the expense of our young heros getting hurt. Jaune was also amazed at how fast McGonagall showed up. Why couldn't the teachers at his school be that fast?

Later that afternoon the Gryffindors made their way to the small field where they would be having their class. The sky was clear. There was a slight breeze in the air. And the Slytherins were already there along with twenty broomsticks lying in a row on the ground. Harry remembered the Weasley twins complaining about some of the problems the brooms have.

"Now that, I'll believe," Jaune said.

"Dumbledore might want to invest in some new brooms," Weiss said.

Madam Hooch, the teacher, arrived and told the students to pick a broom to stand by. The one Harry chose looked rather old, with some of the twigs sticking out at odd angles.

"That does not look comfortable," Ruby said.

Madam Hooch instructed everyone to hold their hand over the broom and say "Up". The students did so together but only a few brooms jumped into the student's hands. Harry's being one of them. Granger's simply rolled over the ground and Neville's stood completely still. Harry figured that brooms were kind of like horses and could tell when you're nervous, given the quake in Neville's voice which gave away just how badly he wanted to stay on the ground.

"That sounds like an interesting concept," Wiess mused.

"Then Harry must be more eager to fly than he let himself think," Ruby believed.

"I don't think he's afraid of flying. More like he's afraid of messing up in front of that Malfoy brat," Yang guessed.

"That would make me nervous too," Jaune agreed.

"We'll see who's laughing soon enough," Nora giggled a little maniacally.

Once everyone's brooms were eventually in their hands, Madam Hooch told the students to mount their brooms before going down each one of them and showing them how to properly grip the front. Harry and Ron were particularly thrilled when Hooch scolded Malfoy for how he's been holding his broom wrong for years.

The Beacon students either smiled or giggled at that. "Guess he's not as great as he thinks," Blake said.

Madam Hooch then instructed the students to kick off from the ground and rise only a few feet before leaning forward just a little to get back to the ground.

"Nice to see she's starting them off slowly," Pyrrah said, though she couldn't help but be a little worried that something was going to go wrong.

Madam Hooch starts to count down but before she can blow her whistle, the ever jumpy Neville kicks off too hard and shoots up about twenty feet before sliding down from the broom and landing hard on the ground with a loud WHAM.

"Is Neville okay?" Nora asked, trying to look over Ren's shoulder to read for herself.

Yang's face paled. "Twenty feet from the air. Without aura? I can't even imagine what that's going to do to him."

"He's going to live? Right Yang?" Ruby asked.

"A fall from that height won't kill him," Blake assured. "Best case scenario he's just going to have a broken bone or two." No one asked what the worst was.

Neville's broom started drifting into the forbidden forest as Madam Hooch instantly went to the young Gryffindor's side. Examining the boy she could see that his wrist was broken.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. The fact that that could have been worse went unspoken in the dorm.

Hooch told everyone that she was going to take Neville to the hospital wing and that the rest of them were to stay on the ground. Anyone she sees in the air will be expelled.

"That's a bit drastic," Pyarrah said.

"Seriously, a detention would be just fine," Weiss agreed.

"And odds are those kids aren't going to listen anyway now that the only adult supervision is gone," Blake said.

"Five lein says that Malfoy's going to take the opportunity to screw with Harry," Jaune said.

"Sorry Jaune but I don't take suckers bets," Ruby giggled. Jaune just rolled his eyes playfully.

The second she was out of earshot Malfoy started making fun of Neville. One of the Gryffindors, Parvati, tried to shut Malfoy up but a Slytherin girl by the name of Pansy joined in on the teasing.

Everyone just rolled their eyes at the Slytherins childish antics but didn't say anything because, well, they were kids.

Malfoy then spotted Neville's remembrall and made a grab for it. Harry told him to give it back but Malfoy figured he'll hide it in a tree somewhere and let Neville find it.

"Huh, looks like you still lost that bet Jaune," Yang joked.

"Hey, how was I supposed to know Neville dropped his remembrall," Jaune said.

Harry made the demand again but Malfoy just mounted his broom and took off flying. And it looked like he wasn't all talk with his flying skills as he easily leveled the highest branches of an oak tree and taunted Harry to come after him.

"Oh yeah! Harry's about to show him what for!" Ruby cheered.

"Hopefully this will be done before Madam Hooch comes back," Ren muttered.

Harry mounted his broom. Granger tried to stop him reminding him how they'll all get into trouble but Harry took off anyway.

"And yet she didn't say anything when Malfoy took off," Nora muttered.

"Plus it'll just be Harry and Malfoy who will be in trouble. She doesn't need to lump herself with this," Weiss scoffed.

As blood pounded in his ears, Harry couldn't help but notice how easy this was. How wonderful this was. As he took off even higher he heard some surprised gasps and screams from some of the girls and Ron gave a cheer of encouragement. Finally Harry was level with Malfoy who was surprised by Harry.

"Alright. Sounds like Harry's a natural on the thing!" Jaune cheered.

"And Malfoy doesn't have those bodyguards with him," Nora cackled.

"Wonder what he's going to do now," Blake can't help but wonder in concern.

Harry demanded Malfoy return the Remembrall lest Harry knocks him off of his broom.

"Harry wouldn't actually do that would he?" Weiss asked. "They are high up, Malfoy could get hurt."

"I wouldn't complain," Nora said.

"Harry would catch him afterwards," Ruby said, sounding certain.

Malfoy tried to keep his cocky attitude but it was failing. Harry tried to charge at Malfoy but he was able to dodge in time. When Harry brought up the fact that Crabb and Goyle weren't there Malfoy decided to toss the Remembrall and taunted Harry to catch it.

"Oh come on!" Jaune cried out.

"That little brat!" Yang yelled.

"I hope Harry can catch it," Ruby said.

Time seemed to freeze around Harry as he saw the Rememerball rise up in the air before coming down to the ground. Harry shot off after it. The wind whistled in his ears and the crowd screamed in worry. Harry stuck out his arm. He was just a foot from the ground. And he caught the ball just in time to pull back up. The glass orb clutch safely in his hand.

Teams RWBY and JNPR all cheered at Harry's success. "That was amazing," Nora said.

"I wish I could have seen that in person," Ruby said.

"That must have looked insane," Jaune added.

"Harry's seriously got some skills," Yang agreed. The mood quickly went down as Ren read the next lines.

Harry heard his name being called out and saw McGonagall coming towards him. She was in total shock as she thought about how he could have hurt himself. Parvati and Ron tried to come to Harry's defense but McGonagall shot them down and told Harry to follow her.

"Why wouldn't McGonagall hear them out?" Weiss asked. Yes Harry did break the rules and McGonagall had every right to reprimand him, but wouldn't she want to know the details of why he did it?

"And why isn't Malfoy in trouble? He's on his broom too," Blake wondered.

"He probably got back on the ground after he threw the remembrall," Jaune grumbled. It was the perfect ploy. Get Harry into trouble while he remained the perfect angel.

Harry followed thinking he was doomed. Convinced he was going to be expelled and have to go back to the Dursleys. Harry figured that maybe he could convince Dumbledore to let Harry stay on as Hagrid's assistance. That thought didn't really cheer him up.

"Can we go one chapter without that family being mentioned?" Weiss grumbled.

"Harry's being dramatic. He's just likely going to get detention," Blake said.

"But then where is McGonagall taking him? If it was just that, she could have easily done it in front of the other students," Pyrrah wondered. That got the others thinking. Just what was Harry's head of house planning.

McGonagall stopped outside of Flitwick's classroom and poked her head in, asking the little charms teacher if she could borrow "Wood" for a few minutes. Harry's nerves then went up. Was McGonagall going to use a cane on him?

"What does he mean by that?" Ruby asked.

"A few years back some teachers would use such items like a cane or a paddle to discipline students," Weiss explained. "They would never actually hurt the students, just rough them up a bit. Though in recent times that practice fell out of use."

"It doesn't look like this book takes place in recent times though," Pyrrah said.

"McGonagall wouldn't really hurt Harry though would she?" Ruby asked.

"Nope. It's not a cane she's talking about," Ren said, having skimmed the next passage for the answer which he then read to the others.

Wood turned out to be a person. A young man roughly four years older than Harry. McGonagall led them to an empty classroom, both boys having no idea what's going on. After chasing Peeves out McGonagall makes introductions and informs Wood that she's found him a seeker.

"A what?" Everyone asked.

Wood becomes excited as McGonagall explains Harry's success in catching the remembrall. Harry still has no idea what's going on but becomes relieved when he figures out he's not getting expelled. Wood starts walking around Harry as though he's examining the first year while McGonagall informs Harry that Wood is captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team.

"Wait? What?" Blake asked.

"Is she saying-" Weiss tried to say but was at a loss for words. Leave it to Nora to say what everyone was thinking.

"Did Harry just join the Quidditch team in his first year without even trying?!"

"That sounds kinda unfair," Jaune couldn't help but note.

"It wouldn't be because of his fame would it?" Pyrrah asked.

"I don't think that's the case," Blake assured. "If the catch wasn't so impressive I think Harry would have gotten in trouble."

"He still should be!" Weiss yelled. "He was on a broomstick for the first time without adult supervision. Especially after a teacher told him to stay on the ground."

"I'm with Weiss. McGonagall is being too lenient here," Yang agreed.

"Plus it seems out of character for her," Nora said.

McGonagall says that she'll try to convince Dumbledore to bend the first year rule for this. Mentioning that the team Gryffindor had last year got creamed by the Slytherin team and how she couldn't make eye contact with Snape for weeks.

Blake started to laugh. "Okay now this is starting to make a lot more sense."

"Everyone's got their pride," Pyrrah agreed, albeit a little exasperated. Weiss looked a bit uneasy as, to her, it sounded like the Gryffindor head was trying to use Harry but she kept that thought to herself as it might not be the case.

McGonagall then tells Harry how proud his father would be as he was a skilled Quidditch player as well.

Everyone beamed at that. It was always nice to hear more about Harry's parents that didn't come from the Dursleys.

The scene then transitions to dinner time where Harry is telling Ron what happened. Ron is shocked as Harry has to be the youngest player in a century. Harry already learned this from Wood. Harry then asks Ron to keep it as secret per Wood's request.

"Do we have any indication that Ron can keep a secret?" Weiss asks.

"I doubt he has many people to talk to," Blake said.

"What about his brothers?" Jaune asked.

"And Wood's likely going to have to tell the other team members as well," Yang added.

"And I get the feeling the paintings of the castle have nothing better to do than gossip," Ren said. At that notion, everyone agreed that the word would get out at some point.

Fred and George then join in having just learned of Harry joining the team from Wood. They're the beaters of the team.

"Beaters?" Ruby questioned.

"This game is starting to sound violent," Pyrrah said.

"That just makes it more awesome!" Nora cheered.

Fred is certain they're going to win the cup this year. Apparently the Gryffindor team hasn't won a game since Charlie graduated. The twins take their leave, needing to meet up with Lee who claimed to have found a new secret passageway out of the castle but the twins likely know which one it is already.

"Wow, those two really do know a lot about the secrets of the castle," Ruby said.

"Wonder what their secret is?" Yang pondered.

Right as the twins left, Malfoy showed up along with Crabb and Goyle. Malfoy taunts that Harry's having his last meal and is wondering when he'll be heading home. Harry just remarks that Malfoy's a lot braver now that he has his bodyguards with him. Though with the teachers present all those two could do is crack their knuckles and scowl.

"I like how Harry's handling this. Especially since Malfoy is all bark and no bite," Pyrrah said.

"Considering what he grew up with, Harry's bound to be used to bullies," Jaune said. Though no one really considered that a good thing.

Malfoy says that he can take Harry on his own just fine and challenges his classmate to a wizard's duel in order to prove it. He then wondered if Harry's even been in a wizard's duel and Ron speaks up saying that Harry has and that Ron will be his second.

"Ron what do you think you're doing?" Pyrrah asks, shocked.

"Harry may know how to deal with bullies but Ron sure doesn't," Blake said.

"This is not going to end well is it?" Ruby asks.

"Probably not," Yang answered.

Malfoy decided that Crabbe would be his second and set the time and place for midnight in the trophy room. When the Slytherins leave, Harry starts asking about a wizard's duel. Ron gave a few details but figures Malfoy wouldn't show anyway.

"I bet he'd tell one of the teachers to try and get Harry and Ron into trouble," Jaune guessed.

"One of these days it's going to come back to bite him," Weiss assured.

Granger then approaches them having overheard everything and lectures them about not going out at night, going on about how selfish it is and how much trouble they'll get into. Both boys just dismiss her.

"While she's not wrong she does need to understand that they're not going to listen to her," Pyrrah said.

"What she should have done is gone to a teacher herself. That way Malfoy will be the one in trouble," Yang suggested.

"True but Harry and Ron would still have gotten in trouble as well," Ren stated. "It does seem like she's trying to look out for them."

"Even if she's doing a poor job at it," Nora added.

As Harry lay awake at night however, he couldn't help but feel he was pushing his luck. There was a very strong chance that Filch or Mrs. Norris would catch him. On the other hand, this was his best chance to settle the score with his rival.

Weiss scoffed. "Boys and their pride."

At half past eleven, Harry and Ron sneak out of their dorm and into the common room. As they headed for the portrait hole, a voice called out to them, stunned that they're going through with this. Granger turns on the lamp near her, revealing herself to her classmates.

"Okay, she needs to know when to quit or else she'll be the one getting in trouble," Blake said.

"Seriously, how can anyone put up with her?" Ruby said.

Ron told her to head back to bed but Granger just said about how she almost told Percy. Harry, who was beyond annoyed at her, just told Ron to follow him and headed for the door. Granger followed them hissing about how they'll lose all the house points she got for knowing about switching spells.

"Talking about yourself like that is only going to make them ignore you more," Blake grumbled.

Ron keeps grumbling for her to leave and Granger finally relents but as she turns around she finds that the Fat Lady inside the portrait wasn't there so now she was locked outside.

"Is she allowed to do that? She needs to be able to let the students in," Weiss said.

"Well it is the middle of the night so everyone should be in their beds already," Yang pointed out.

"Either way now they're stuck with her," Nora grumbled.

Not wanting to wait for Filch to find her here, Granger decides to follow Harry and Ron so that they can support her story in case they get caught.

"She's just outside the dorm. I don't think she's going to get in that much trouble," Jaune said.

"I don't think Filch needs that much of a reason," Pyrrah countered.

Jaune gave a sigh. "Yeah. Good point."

Ron starts to get mad but Harry shuts both him and Granger up as he hears something down the hall. It was Neville, who was fast asleep on the floor.

"What's he doing out there?" Blake asked.

"If it took him that long to heal you'd think the nurse would let him stay the night," Ruby said.

Neville woke up when he heard them approach and was happy to see them as he forgot the password to the tower.

"Did no one see him there to let him in?" Nora asked.

"The Fat Lady should know him well enough by now. She should have gone to McGonagall and let her know of the situation. This lady sucks at her job," Weiss scoffed.

Ron informs him of the password but warns him that the Fat Lady is off on a night time stroll. Harry asks about his arms and Neville says that Madam Promfrey fixed it up in no time.

"Then why did it take him so long to get back to the tower?" Ruby wondered. "It was the middle of the afternoon when they had their flying lesson."

"Probably got lost," Nora waved off. "If his memory is that bad, his sense of direction has got to be pretty poor too."

Harry and Ron then try to leave, not wanting to be late for their duel but Neville wants to come along as well, not wanting to be left all alone. Ron warns them that if he or Granger gets them caught then he'll use a Bogies curse on them the second he masters it. Granger starts to open her mouth, probably to tell him how, but Harry stops her and urges them forward. The four made it to the trophy room without running into Filch or Mrs. Norris but Malfoy and Crabbe weren't there yet.

"So either Malfoy thought they wouldn't have the nerve and didn't bother showing up himself or..." Nora started while Ren finished.

"He set them up." The other Beacon students nodded in agreement. This sounded way too fishy.

Harry quickly took out his wand just in case Malfoy went for a surprise attack.

"Smart," Blake praised.

But as the minutes crept by, neither Slytherins showed up. As Ron starts to think the two chickened out a door opens and Filch's voice can be heard, ordering his cat to sniff them out.

"Of course Malfoy would tip him off," Yang groaned. "Little brat."

Harry quietly had the others follow him down a galley that was filled with suits of armor. But with the sound of Filch coming closer, Neville panicked and broke into a run causing him to trip. He accidently grabbed Ron by the waist and the two fell into a suit of armor causing a loud crashing sound.

"Okay, screw stealth. Just run," Blake pleaded.

The four students sprinted as fast as they could, not daring to look back to see if Filch was following them. Harry, who was leading them, found a secret passage behind a tapestry which led them outside the charms room. As the students took the time to catch their breath Granger started with the "I told you so"s

"No one wants to hear that," Ruby grumbled.

She said that Malfoy must have been the one to tip Filch off. Harry privately agreed but didn't say anything.

"Good. We don't need her head getting any bigger," Nora said.

The four started to make their way back to Gryffindor tower when Peeves bursted out one of the doors and spotted the kids.

"Oh great that's the last thing we need right now," Jaune groaned.

"Not if they can get Peeves on their side," Ren believed.

"He does like making mischief," Weiss mused. "But how can they convince him?"

The students pleaded with Peeves not to get them in trouble but he wasn't so sure if he should. Ron lost his patience and swiped at Peeves.

All of the Beacon students face palms. "They're doomed," Yang deadpanned.

Angered, Peeves raised the alarm and the students broke into a run again. They reached a corridor with a single door that was locked.

"Hope one of them knows how to pick a lock," Blake said.

"They have magic. There's likely a spell that can unlock a door," Weiss figured.

"And Granger probably already knows it by now," Pyrrha added.

Ron starts to lament his fate but Granger pushes him aside, grabs Harry's wand and casts Alohomora unlocking the door so they could get inside.

"What did she need Harry's wand for? Couldn't she use her own?" Ruby asked.

"She probably left it in her room," Yang suggested. "Remember she was planning on stopping Harry and Ron at the common room. Not go out for a night time stroll."

"I would argue that Granger should have asked for Harry's wand first but I guess there was no time," Ren said.

Filch meets up with Peeves and demands that the poltergeist tell him where the students are. Peeves insist that the caretaker says 'please' first. Singing he won't say nothing if Filch doesn't say 'please'.

"Ha! Looks like Peeves hates Filch more than he loves causing trouble," Nora chuckled.

"What are you talking about Nora? Peeves could easily give them away," Jaune cried.

"Doubt Filch would care that much about asking politely. Even if it is to Peeves," Pyrrha added.

Nora groans. "Oh come on-"

Ren quickly cuts her off. "It wouldn't be fun if you told the joke right as I'm about to reveal the punchline," he whispers to her. Nora smiles and places her head behind her head, keeping her mouth shut. The others were confused but before they could ask anything, Ren went back to the book.

Filch finally relents only for Peeves to shout 'NOTHING'. Since that's what he would say if Filch said 'please'.

The students started laughing. "All right. That was good," Jaune said.

"I can't believe we fell for that," Yang gasped in between her giggles.

"I can't believe Filch fell for that. You'd think he'd learn by now," Blake said.

"If we ever come across Peeves we'll be sure to take Nora with us so she can counter him," Pyrrha said.

"I will gladly accept the challenge!" Nora declared.

The two left and Harry starts to think that it's safe to leave. Neville meanwhile has been trying to get the others' attention as something was behind them. Harry turned around and he was starting to become overwhelmed with this on top of everything else that happened today.

"That doesn't sound good," Yang said.

"I mean there's nothing dangerous in this school right?" Ruby said.

"Only what's on the third floor where the-'' Blake cut herself off as she realized where the fictional children were. The others understood it too and started to pale.

It was now that Harry realized that they were in the forbidden room on the third floor. And he now understands why it is forbidden. A giant three headed dog, as large as the room they were in, was glaring at the four. A deep growl in its throat.

"WHAT IS DUMBLEDORE THINKING?!" Weiss screeched.

"In a building full of kids?" Blake asked.

"I know the stone needs to be protected but that's overkill," Pyrrha said.

"And it's easy to get too. I bet a bunch of first years will know that unlocking spell and be too curious for their own good!" Jaune shouted.

"What's wrong with more complex spells?" Yang asked.

"I thought Dumbledore was supposed to be this genius?" Nora said.

Harry turned right back around and went for the door, preferring to deal with Filch rather than risk getting killed.

"Good call," Ren said.

They all fell out and Harry was able to slam the door shut. The Gryffindors all ran as fast as they could just wanting to get as far away from that creature as possible. Somehow they found themselves outside of the Fat Lady's portrait without running into Filch but they didn't really care. The Fat Lady asked where they were but Harry just gave her the password and they all went inside and collapsed into the armchairs. Everyone was quiet for a few moments.

"I know how that feels," Yang said off handily to herself. She remembered how she was after Qrow rescued her from that pack of Beowolves after she stupidly went looking for Raven. It had been hours before she could get a single word out.

Finally Ron got his voice back and demanded to know what the school was thinking. Granger meanwhile had not only recovered by now but her temper had returned as well.

"Now is not the time to get mad at them!" Ruby yelled.

"Not to mention she's got no right to get upset at them," Weiss chimed in. "After all, she was the idiot who unlocked the door."

Granger snapped at them for not paying any kind of attention and asked them what the dog was standing on. Harry suggested the floor, having been a bit preoccupied with the three heads.

"Which I believe is the point," Ren muttered.

Granger on the other hand told them the dog was standing on a trap door meaning it was guarding something. She then says that the boys are hopefully happy about this seeing as they could have been killed or worse expelled.

Jaune took a moment and held out his hands as though he was weighing something. "Killed. Expelled. Killed. Expelled. I personally would rather go with expulsion, thank you." Everyone nodded with him.

Granger went to bed while Ron said that she apparently thought they dragged her along. Harry on the other hand was thinking about what Granger said. Along with what Hagrid said about how Hogwarts was even better than Gringotts about hiding something. He now knew where the package from vault seven hundred and thirteen was.

"That's the end of the chapter," Ren said.

"That was intense for sure," Yang said.

"Well at least we seem to have the main plot of the book moving along," Weiss said.

"Right the stone," Ruby said. "If that's the goal of the book then someone must want to steal it."

"But we don't even know what that stone would do," Jaune said.

"Someone does," Pyrrha pointed out. "But there aren't any suspects at the moment."

"The only villain we have in the story so far is Voldemort but he's supposedly too weak to do anything right now," Blake said.

"Not to mention there is no way he'd be able to sneak into the school with Dumbledore there," Yang added.

"Someone in the school might be working with Voldemort," Weiss theorized.

"Question is who?" Pyrrha asked.

As everyone pondered that, Nora took the book from Ren. "Well, there's only one way to find out. I do believe it's my turn."
