They'd been shagging for about a month when James began complaining about Lily's lack of exotic wardrobe and insisted on going to the shop in Hogsmeade that sold things like that. She tried to dissuade him- only girls "like that" and overeager third years ever went in there, but he convinced her.
"I like this," he said, presenting a series of lacy strings.
Lily stared at it. "Don't even ask me how that works." She held up a pair of flower-print briefs. "I like these."
"That's so boring," James complained.
"And that's" said Lily, "why you're my horny little stag."
