The light of the Yardratian sun crept into a circular room through some windows. The light fell upon the sleeping face of Chi-Chi. Her face pouted some and she snuggled into Goku's sleeping form to escape the unwelcome light. Goku instinctively held his wife closer as sleep finally began to relinquish its hold over him. Goku let out a big yawn and smiled finding Chi-Chi asleep in his arms. He looked around confused at the room they were in. Except for the layers of quilts they were sleeping on, it seemed the room was bare. "Hmm." Goku mumbled thinking and leaned back his head to look behind him. "Oh cool." He said, spotting a pair of outfits sitting out for them. Goku was up in a moment to inspect the clothes.
"Oof." Chi-Chi mumbled waking up as she fell off Goku some. "Goku? Where are we?" She asked, looking around.
"I've got no clue, but someone left us these snazzy clothes." Goku said smiling as he showed her.
"But Gohan... Namek... Frieza." Chi-Chi said beginning to panic.
"Hey hey it's alright Chi-Chi. One thing at a time. Our clothes are just rags at this point. Let's get dressed and then we can worry about the rest." Goku said with a gentle smile. Chi-Chi nodded getting up.
"Thanks." She said and kissed his cheek. They helped each other fit into the strange new white clothes that included something similar to a breast plate that was strapped over one shoulder that went over the the white garments. Not long after there was a knock on the wall.
"Umm come in?" Goku said.
In an instant, a short bald alien appeared in front of them. In his hands he held Chi-Chi's sword. He had beady eyes and pointed ears and his skin was a shade of pink. "Welcome to Yardrat strangers." The Yardratian said politely and offered the sword to her. "We have healed your many wounds and mean you no harm." He added with a smile.
"Oh really? Alright awesome thank you. So is this supposed to be when we ask you to take us to your leader?" Goku asked, all smiles as Chi-Chi carefully took her sword and attached the sheath to her belt. The Yardratian chuckled a little and nodded.
"I was just about to escort you both to him. He will answer your many questions if you will answer his." The Yardratian said.
"Sounds fair, lead the way." Chi-Chi said softly. The Yardratian nodded.
"First hold onto each other." The Yardratian said.
"Sure thing." Goku said and threw an arm around Chi-Chi who let out a soft giggle at her husband's antics. Before she could ask why they needed to do this though the strange alien disappeared as he placed two fingers on his forehead. Goku felt a hand on his back and in the next instant he and Chi-Chi were suddenly in a much larger room. Before them sat a massive alien in a meditative position. His head resembled a spherical lollipop.
"Ahh welcome travelers to our home. I am elder Pybara." The alien said happily.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Goku and this is my wife Chi-Chi. Say hi Chi-Chi." Goku said.
"Umm hi sir, it is nice to meet you... but how did we get here?" She asked looking around for the alien that had spoken to them before. She tilted her head confused seeing him already standing to the side of Pybara.
Pybara laughed softly. "My kind aren't exactly fighters as you may tell by our stature. However we aren't without our skills." Pybara said.
"You look pretty strong to me." Goku said.
"Do I now?" Pybara asked with a sly smile before his size shrunk down several times to his true size. "This is but one skill of many I know, but before I answer more, I wish to know of how you came to be on our home." Pybara said.
"It's a rather long story." Chi-Chi said softly.
"We treasure stories here, please share." Pybara said kindly. Chi-Chi glanced at Goku unsure, but he nodded for her to continue. She took a deep breath and started from the beginning of this journey. Telling of how the arrival of Goku's brother eventually led to the events on Namek and the fight with Frieza. Pybara listened intently to her story and nodded once she concluded it. "I see, then it is you we have to thank for the Ginyu Force changing course from attacking our planet. Not only that but you have disposed of that tyrannical Frieza. We are truly indebted to you and you friends."
"Ahh it was nothing, we were just protecting our friends and family." Goku said.
"Not to mention, the one you sent for us said you had healed us. Thank you. Not all would treat strangers as you did. So thank you." Chi-Chi said.
"True... though it is rather clear your spirits are quite pure. I could sense you were no danger to us, at least not purposely. Though your injuries were so severe I thought you must have had a run in with a black hole. You are quite lucky to of survived." Pybara said. Chi-Chi nodded.
"Thank you for your healing and hospitality all the same, but we must be getting back to our home and son." Chi-Chi said, somewhat raining on Goku's parade who was already wanting to explore this planet some and learn what this elder could teach.
"I'm glad you like our hospitality, for you will have to keep enjoying it for a while. The ship the two of you arrived in was heavily damaged. Not as badly as you were, but still quite severe. Some of our best engineers are working on it, but I am unsure if they can even fix it." Pybara said. Chi-Chi's heart sank and she clung onto Goku in worry who held her close. "Oh dear me, I did not wish to upset you so. Even if your ship cannot be repaired there's yet another way you could return to your home." Pybara said.
"There is?" Chi-Chi asked, her hope returning. Pybara nodded.
"The same technique that brought you here before me can be learned by you and used to get back to your home. Though learning it will take both time and effort." Pybara said.
"Alright yes, but what technique is it exactly?" Goku asked.
"Instant Transmission." Pybara said placing a few fingers on his head before appearing directly in front of Goku and Chi-Chi before using it again to go back to his spot.
"Woah amazing!" Goku said.
"Wait if you already know it, couldn't you take us home?" Chi-Chi asked. Goku almost seemed ready to cry, because if this were true he likely wouldn't get to learn the technique. To Goku's relief Pybara shook his head.
"I apologize but we can not. The technique requires honing in on another's energy you know by heart to traverse long distances. As I have never been to your planet I'd have no way to lock in on it. Beyond that we have solemn vow to never use the technique to leave our own planet." Pybara said.
"I guess that would be too easy a solution." Chi-Chi mumbled to herself.
"Hey it's not so bad. We might learn something else too. We'll be home to Gohan before you know it." Goku encouraged her. Chi-Chi nodded.
"Then I humbly request that we begin training at once Elder Pybara." Chi-Chi said. Goku frowned slightly, hoping for a big meal before training.
Pybara laughed softly. "That is a fierce determination you have. It will do you well in the training that is to come. However, the training as I said will take effort that you both are not yet ready for as you are now. Our healing only healed the physical wounds on your bodies. However you need a chance to recover from the mental stress of your recent battles as well as a chance to restore your energy reserves. I strongly advise you take some days off to restore body, mind and soul. To attempt the training before would only prolong the time before you could return home." The elder said gently.
"So this is the fastest way for me to get back to my son?" Chi-Chi asked as Goku sniffed some delicious smelling food being brought to them. Pybara nodded. "Alright." Chi-Chi said softly and giggled seeing Goku's face, reminding her of him when he was a kid. She kissed his cheek and went with him to eat with Pybara and the other Yardratians. She and Goku spent the next week taking it easy and enjoying each other's company. It was some welcomed time together that they hadn't quite had since they welcomed Gohan into the world. By the end Chi-Chi had almost completely forgiven Goku for all the craziness the past year and a half had been.
Further out into the reaches of space, King Cold sat on his throne, twirling the drink with in a glass he was holding as he gazed up at a monitor. "Play the first clip again." He instructed.
"Yes sire." A soldier hastily said as he entered some commands onto a panel. In moments a recording started to play on the monitor. It seemed to be a security feed of the throne room they were now in, the date a few days ago. King Cold was sitting much like he was now on his throne. The massive doors leading into the throne room in the recording were busted open by a blast. King Cold straightened up looking into the dust cloud created by the explosion.
"What's the meaning of this?" King Cold's voice played from the recording as a severely injured Fasha floated out of the cloud of smoke. She mumbled a few words before collapsing onto the floor unconscious.
"Play back that last part and increase the volume of her voice." King Cold instructed. The recording rewinded a bit and played again.
"Apologies... Frieza dead... betrayed you...all hostiles terminated." Were the words Fasha had mumbled before passing out. This caused murmuring amongst the advisors gathered in the room as they watched the recording. The recording paused as some soldiers picked her up to take her to be healed.
"Cease your whispers." King Cold growled at his advisors. The murmuring stopped in an instant and you could hear pen drop. "Play the debriefing." King Cold said.
The monitor went black before a new recording appeared. Again it showed the throne room with a now healed Fasha bowing before King Cold. "Speak my dear Fasha... tell your tale... I'm waiting." King Cold said in the recording with a hint of murderous intent as he interrogated her.
"Yes my King." Fasha said nervously. "Upon arrival I found things to be in an utter mess. It seems that the Saiyans Frieza used to have in his army had banded together with some other Saiyans to make a wish for themselves and so they too were searching for the wish granting orbs the Namekians had." Fasha started. There were a few more whispers from the court about such things existence, but a glare from King Cold made the room silent again as they continued to watch the screen. Fasha continued her debriefing. "It seems an alliance of necessity was struck between the Saiyans and the Namekians as they fought Frieza's forces. Upon landing that fool Dodoria tried to kill me. The oaf failed but it managed to help me infiltrate the enemy and convince them I was on their side due to our shared blood." Fasha said with a smirk.
"Ahh I see, how very calculating of you. I remember receiving your report of Dodoria's actions. It seems he got what he deserved. I never understood why my son kept him around." King Cold said. Fasha nodded and continued as a bead of sweat streamed down her head as she tried to recollect all that she had sent in the report.
"Frieza's recklessness made the mess I found even worse. By not having a plan he lost most of his forces on the planet to the enemy... including the entirety of the Ginyu Force. It was about this time that the Saiyans and their allies came up with a plan to fool Frieza into thinking he had made a wish. I saw it as an opportunity to test his loyalty." Fasha said softly.
"Allow me to guess, my son failed to mention me in his wish for immortality?" King Cold asked. Fasha nodded. "Disappointing but predictable, what of the real dragon balls?" He questioned.
"Frieza's foes had collected the seven dragon balls and summoned the dragon. The Saiyans were seeking their own immortality in order to stop you and Frieza." Fasha said.
"And you allowed them to make the wish? Is that why they defeated Frieza?" Cold asked. Fasha shook her head quickly.
"Before they could make that wish or I wish for your immortality... the dragon vanished. It seems that if the creator of the dragon balls dies, so too does the dragon. Based on his location, I believe Frieza had killed the creator before the wish could be made. The dragon vanishing left no one happy, especially Frieza. He began his final confrontation with the Saiyans and their allies." She explained.
"Ordinary beings defeated my son?" King Cold asked shocked.
"In a way... the wounds they inflicted on him began adding up. One Saiyan whose maximum power was about half your own especially caused him trouble. As well as a Namekian that was even stronger than I am now." Fasha said. Those in the court paled hearing that other such powerful beings existed. "Though that still isn't what did him in, however he was severely weakened. I myself was soon knocked out of the fight and Frieza resorted to trying to destroy the planet. He killed many of his foes afterwards. Realizing I was useless in the battle once I woke up I went to get into a pod and go into orbit as I can't survive in space. I planned to await for him to eventually come to me. However those he fought must have kept him on the planet until it exploded, killing him and them. My apologies my King." Fasha said softly as the recording paused. King Cold cleared his throat and looked to one of his advisors in the room.
"Well Sorbet, does what my general say match with what you know?" King Cold asked. The short blue alien gulped before speaking.
"Mind you I cannot speak as to what happened after the Ginyu Force fell, but her pod was the only one I picked up leaving Namek on my scanners." Sorbet said.
"And of the things she said before the final confrontation with the Saiyans and my son?" King Cold asked.
"As indicated by her report the Saiyans were indeed working long side the Namekians and another group of unidentified aliens. It seems they were Saiyans as well." Sorbet said. King Cold nodded.
"Do any of you doubt her story?" King Cold asked. There were whispers amongst the court before one stepped forward and spoke.
"Only that your son is truly dead my King. She may believe it but we aren't so sure. The rest... I for one sensed no dishonesty. I do not feel she has lied." Sorbet said.
King Cold cracked a small smile. "You have answered wisely. You've earned yourself a moon." He said. Sorbet smiled some and bowed in thanks. "Still I wish to learn more about these other Saiyans... Sorbet, remain on the planet and see what other information you can dig up. I shall lead a search for my son among the remains of Namek. The rest of you see to it that preparations are made for the journey." He ordered. The advisors nodded and left the room to accomplish their assigned task. "Now summon my general to me." King Cold told one of his soldiers. The soldier saluted before running off to get Fasha.
Mere minutes later, Fasha was awoken by a speaker within her lavish penthouse suite located in the capital of the Cold Empire. She groaned softly and put a pillow over her head. "What?" She asked.
"General, King Cold sent for you." A voice over the speaker replied. Fasha was up in a start.
"I'll be there soon." Fasha said as she began getting ready. With a tornado of activity she was soon ready and flew off her balcony to the palace. She flew past other pristine skyscrapers on her way to the palace. As the capital of the empire, no expense was spared on this planet. It glistened like a diamond, a testament to the empire's wealth and power. It was also a challenge to anyone that dared to defy the Cold family. An enticing target, but fear of King Cold himself is what had kept this planet untouched by war for centuries. Finally the palace came into view. It was built to match the grandiose of it's occupant himself, King Cold. She landed at the entrance and was escorted to King Cold's throne room. The room itself was actually part of his flag ship that seamlessly joined the rest of the palace. "My King." Fasha said as she entered the room and bowed.
"Ahh my general, right on time as usual." King Cold said before rising out of his throne. "And no more bowing... it does not suit one of your position." King Cold said. Fasha nodded and raised up.
"Is there something you need?" Fasha asked hopeful, eager to get off this world of glass and to see some action.
"We are going to be heading into space soon." Cold said.
"We? You're coming too?" Fasha asked surprised.
"Indeed. I need to see your power for myself and though I detest the very thought of it... train to increase my own power." Cold said.
"Why?" Fasha asked softly. King Cold gave a look that told every other being besides Fasha to leave the room. Once they were alone he spoke again.
"If my son is truly dead and defeated by an enemy it will make the empire seem weak... vulnerable even, perhaps. This of course would be pure fantasy on our enemies' part, but they could affect my bottom line before we crush them." Cold said with a smile as he began to walk around Fasha. "But if it appeared that I was creating a change of power within the empire." Cold continued.
"The universe would think you purposefully ousted your own son in favor of someone new, leading them to fear you even more and cause no illusion of weakness within the empire." Fasha said catching on.
"Precisely my dear General, cunning as ever." King Cold said, coming closer to her.
"But who else would you put into power... surely not him..." Fasha said, her voice trailing off. King Cold snarled and shook his head.
"Definitely not my eldest son. He made his choice in life." Cold said angrily before taking a deep breath and coming up to Fasha from behind her. "No... I think the empire may require a woman's touch now." King Cold said lowly to her as he caused her to lift up telekinetically.
"Ma... me?" Fasha asked flustered. King Cold chuckled.
"Only until I can get a suitable replacement for Frieza... but even then you could still be my Empress Fasha." King Cold whispered in her ear, sending chills down her spine.
"And if Frieza is somehow alive as you suspect?" Fasha was barely able to ask. King Cold frowned.
"His betrayal you spoke of I could overlook, but his weakness in failure I can not over look. I will use him but an emperor of my empire he would no longer be." The king said. Fasha nodded softly, a mix of emotions to say the least. "But first you need to prove yourself to me further. Which is why we are taking to the stars tonight. Do not disappoint." Cold whispered in her other ear. More chills down her spine but she nodded and faced him.
"You know that I will not fail you." She said sternly. King Cold cracked a smirk.
"Good, make preparations for the trip and be back here before sunset." He said.
"Yes my King." Fasha said before taking her leave.
As she left King Cold sat back down on his throne. He summoned his guards to renter the room. Sorbet came in with them. "I have found something my King." Sorbet said as he bowed.
"Hmm continue." King Cold said.
"Gladly my lord." Sorbet said raising up. "It's not much but from what I can piece together it seems Vegeta met these new Saiyans after his last mission. Perhaps if I go to the outpost he landed at before he went to Namek I can uncover more?" Sorbet asked.
"Very well. Make it so and leave no stone unturned. Now away with you." King Cold said. Sorbet bowed again and left the throne room. King Cold settled into his throne more as he gazed beyond the horizon contemplating the future of his empire.
Back on Earth, Bulma and her father were busy at work. The amount of data they had gained from Wheelo's research was daunting. Blond Launch worked alongside them, hoping to integrate Wheelo's tech into her weapons. With their help she had already overhauled the weapon systems on the new space ship they were working on. It had started out as a sister ship to Goku's, but now bore resemblance to Frieza's ship as they had expanded and upgraded it. Nappa had been badgering them constantly after they had returned from Wheelo's base about getting the ship into space so he could find his daughter. Vegeta was just as impatient, eager to leave this lowly planet behind him in his search for Kakarott and the secrets of the super Saiyan.
As foul tempered as Vegeta was, Bulma seemed to know the exact buttons to press in order to get the prince to become more amenable. Nappa was far less brooding on the other hand and was more like a toddler waiting to go to the toy store. However when not gardening, Nappa's impatience was somewhat tempered by playing with all the stray pets Bulma's father kept at their home. Still Fasha was never far from his mind. His impatience getting the best of him, he left the garden to pester the scientists about when he could get back into space. Nappa's large frame ducked into the doorway of the private lab Bulma, her father and Launch were working in.
"Is it ready yet?" Nappa asked hopeful. Bulma sighed while Launch turned around pointing what could only be assumed to be a weapon at Nappa, the large Saiyan clearly weary of what this latest contraption might do to him.
"For the last time muscles, we're done when we say we're dun. If you gotta problem with that you can take it up with my friend here." Launch said as the thing in her hand began to light up. Nappa gulped and shook his head quickly. Bulma let out a small giggle.
"Yes, that miniature sensor array is clearly terrifying." Bulma laughed together with Launch. Nappa just pouted. "Oh come on now, the new armor we're making should be done soon, I'm sure that will cheer you up. The ship is just another day or two away from completion. But for now since you interrupted us I think it's time for a break. I'm going to go take a nice relaxing bath. See ya." Bulma said as she left the lab, tossing her lab coat over Nappa's head, hiding his pout.
"My daughter is right, besides I should check on our other alien guests." Dr. Brief said. He walked past Nappa to check in on the Namekians, though it was really more of an excuse to go golfing with some of them again.
"Ahh shoot, I was hoping we could tinker on the Jolly Rogers." Launch said.
"The what now?" Nappa asked as he took the lab coat off his head and hung it neatly on a hook.
"Don't get excited bub, it's the name I decided to give them pirate robots we found." She said and stretched. "Maybe a break isn't such a bad idea." She muttered feeling a bit stiff.
"Feel like a bit of sparring then? I'm eager to see what you got." Nappa said.
"Heh, your funeral. Just let me get ready and I'll meet you out back." Launch said as she walked past Nappa to get her Jolly Rogers and fighting gear.
"Looking forward to it." Nappa said as he flew outside, eager for a distraction.
Far beyond the horizon and above the clouds, Gohan was a blur of motion as a group of warrior Namekians sparred with him. It had been a few days now since the debacle with Dr. Wheelo, but Piccolo had only given Gohan half a day to recover. Currently he was in a five versus one match with some of warrior Namekians Piccolo and Kami were training. The catch for Gohan in this fight was that he was only permitted to use his tail or head to attack. C-6 landed on the lookout just as Gohan won the bout with a stab of his tail and then a mouth blast. "Hey I said just use your head and tail." Piccolo said.
"Technically his mouth is a part of his head, mouth beams should be fine." Kami said with a slight chuckle. Piccolo growled quietly.
"Bah, enjoy your study time Gohan... the rest of you with me." Piccolo said before leading the Namekian warriors away for more training at the gravity room at Capsule Corp.
"Piccolo is still charming as ever I see." C-6 said as Gohan hugged the robot.
"I think he's just worried that my parents and Miss Fasha aren't back on Earth yet." Gohan said smiling.
"You seem to be doing okay with that." C-6 said. Gohan nodded.
"Piccolo made me realize nothing will stop my parents from coming back home once they can. In the mean time I have you, grandpa, Piccolo, Kami and Icarus to keep me company." Gohan said. "So we starting my studies again?" Gohan asked.
"Well unlike Piccolo I think you still need to take it easy for a bit, as such I was sure to invite a friend. I even cleared it with Kami. Go ahead and call Nimbus." C-6 said.
"Okay?" Gohan asked unsure. "Nimbus!" He called. Ordinarily the cloud wouldn't be able to fly up to such heights, but now with its new power, such tasks were easy. The yellow cloud flew up onto the lookout and crashed into Gohan as he hugged it. Gohan giggled. "You give the best hugs Nimbus." Gohan said.
"Hey Gohan." A voice giggled above him.
"Videl!" Gohan cheered happily, his tail flicking excitedly behind him. "What are you doin up here?" Gohan asked.
"Well it's the weekend and C-6 said I could come play with you." She said jumping off Nimbus. "So can we go play with Icarus?" She asked hopeful.
"Ahh yes, how is Icarus doing?" C-6 asked as Gohan's smile dimmed.
"He still isn't back to normal and hasn't eaten since our last adventure. Mr. Popo said that dragons can go a while without eating and sleep a long time, but I'm starting to get worried." Gohan said.
"What? Icarus is sick? We should go check on him and cheer him up." Videl said, taking charge. Gohan nodded and led them to where Icarus was sleeping inside one of the four tall towers on the Looukout. Videl was panting by the time they finished climbing the spiral staircase to reach him. "So many steps..." she mumbled.
"It's good exercise, and it will help you get stronger like me and Piccolo." Gohan said as they came to the dragon's bed. "Icarus?" Gohan asked. Icarus let out a big yawn and opened his eyes lazily. His tail thumped on his bed a little seeing his friends.
"Hi there Icarus." Videl said softly and kissed the dragon on the nose. "Feeling better?" She asked. Icarus nuzzled her gently and got up yawning once more. He flapped his wings in an effort to fly but barely rose before falling back down. "Poor thing." Videl said and hugged him. Gohan dragged over a meal Mr. Popo had made for the dragon, a giant cooked tuna along with some fruits and vegetables.
"Please try eating, maybe that'll help." Gohan urged. Icarus turned his head away from the food. Gohan sat down beside him and pet his head gently.
"Maybe your friend Dende could help?" Videl asked. Gohan nodded and flew out a window in the tower. He returned a bit later with Dende.
"Give me some space please?" Dende asked as he landed. Videl nodded and gave Icarus another hug before stepping back. Dende tried healing Icarus but shook his head. "I was able to restore his energy but something still isn't quite right. Maybe we should ask Keeper Kami?" Dende asked. Gohan nodded in agreement.
"You mean we gotta walk all those steps again?" Videl asked with a small pout. Dende shook his head.
"Allow me." He said with a smile. Focusing, Dende lifted them all up with his mind. He floated them out of the tower and down to where Kami was playing 3-D chess with Mr. Popo.
"Ah hello young ones, enjoying this nice day?" Kami asked with a gentle smile while Mr. Popo carefully planned out his next several moves.
"Yes sir Mister Kami sir, but we were hoping you could help us with something ." Gohan said.
"Check again." Mr. Popo said. Kami grumbled as he moved his bishop to protect his King. Mr. Popo went back to plotting.
"So your dragon still isn't feeling himself?" Kami asked.
"He's not my dragon, he's my friend... but yes, how'd you know?" Gohan asked. Kami pointed at one of his own ears.
"Good hearing, that and your friend's Ki is erratic... hmm no imbalanced is a more accurate." Kami said.
"So what do we need to do to help him Keeper Kami?" Dende asked as Mr Popo moved a pawn to safety.
"Now that's the question. Dragons have been apart of this world much longer than I have held this position. Much more was known about them in days long forgotten. If you wish to help your friend the knowledge of those who worshipped his kind long ago would know more about him than I." Kami said seemingly more focused on the game than the children and C-6.
"How are we supposed to talk to people from that far in the past?" Videl asked confused.
"Oh there are multiple ways, but I suggest you ask C-6. He was studying the ruins of the people I mentioned when Gohan met him after all." Kami said.
"Oh Archeology how I have missed thee... but wait... that ruin collapsed into the ground, and I had barely begun my studies of it before that." C-6 said.
"Pfft simple enough fix." Kami said rising up. His eyes flashed as he lifted one hand. Far away the earth rumbled and split as ruins that hadn't been seen in the light of day in several millennia rose to the surface. "Just be more careful this time." Kami said as he sat back down and moved a queen. "Check." He chuckled. "Why are you all standing around here, you know where to go." Kami added. The children nodded and called Nimbus. Gohan, Videl and Dende hopped on as Icarus got on too. C-6 took flight and led them away to the ruins.
"You're harder to predict since the fusion with the grand elder." Popo said as he continued the game.
"You're still giving me a good game Mr. Popo." Kami said. The attendant to the Lookout shook his head.
"No, I meant the children. Don't we have what they need?" Mr. Popo asked. Kami chuckled a little and nodded as they continued to play chess.
"Possibly... but for those young ones to achieve their full potential they need to experience the world for themselves and to uncover it's hidden truths. I won't always hold this position as you well know. I must do my part to ensure those that are the future have what they need to rise to the occasion." Kami said softly and gazed at the clock. "Apologies old friend, we must pause our game. I must fetch Korin's attendant." He said and left the table.
"Bye Kami, see you soon." Mr. Popo called after him and focused on the game once again plotting on how to win. Meanwhile in Otherworld, a large samurai impatiently awaited to get taken back home after having enough of King Kai and his training.
